LIGHTED HEADED AND DIZZY PAST 7 WEEKS
07/22/2009: Anonymous writes: "can you please help me: 7 weeks ago I started to get really light headed and dizzy for no reason and then in 1 min it would go away and I would be normal. everyday it got worse and stayed longer. it is like brain fog and disorientation
it has now been 9 weeks and I can't even leave the house because I feel like I am going to faint I get sweaty hands and feet and they are cold and my head is hot. also constantly I am very tired. which is very unusual for me. also when I go outside my eyes hurt and I feel more disorientated
I have constant brain fog and every once in a while I have the disorientation for like 10 seconds.
I went to the doctors 9 times in 4 weeks and they don't know.
first they thought it was my kidneys, then my liver, then my heart, now kaiser says it is in my head which is dumb. they have done a ct of head and body and my heart is fine too. they are basically done with me and want me to see a physc and say it is depression. I do have anxious feelings but never normally so they are just a symptom not the problem.
I went to a homeopathic doctor and he was the one that said it was the adrenaline thing and gave me stuff. it helps energy wise but not really. I been on that for a month. I have also done a candida cleanse and tried trace minerals and flax seed oil.
I am a little better but still can't go outside so not better as a whole.
I feel so bad I don't even want to go to my friends house to play video games with him(my favorite thing to do). I don't even go on the computer at my house either because it makes it a little worse.
I am going to start college in september and I need to get better. I have wasted 9 weeks of my summer like this. I even missed my High school graduation because of my sickness.
the only diffrent things I have been doing 5 months before this is my tennis team at school started and I would play 3 hours of tennis a day after school along with finals(which is the week this all started) I had 1 episode during tennis but pushed myself to win my match and then it went away after 5 hours.
I have never pushed my self in tennis as much as I have this year and was very tired for the past 5 months before this happened to me.
also on the weekends I sat on my computer at least 6 hours aday and played video games / porgramed and I am wondering if my head got mialigned or something.
I heard you were very knowwleable and read your post on http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/brain_fog_questions.html
I tried the lime and baking soda thing tonight. how long do I have to take this to notice a difference.
also what do you think happened and do you have any suggestions.
thank you so much"
07/22/2009: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "A sweaty hands and tiredness very easy for me its usually magnesium deficiency. The remedy I used can be magnesium chloride 200-250 mg, or a close one magnesium citrate taken three a day, should be gone the next day. The other supplements that maybe needed are the electrolytes. Most simple electrolytes is available in most drug stores sold as oral rehydration packs, which are basically potassium as primary remedy. One additional supplement is 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt in one warm cup of water, single dose. This should help the electrolytic imbalance.
Ted"
07/22/2009: Anonymous replies: "okay I will try that. the main issue is not really the hands and feet they are going away. it is the fatigue, brain fog and feeling like I am not really their. I can not go outside or anything, because I feel like I am virtual and will pass out. any suggestionsthank you for the magnesium I will try it"
7/22/2009: Ted replies: "A fainting like can also mean low blood pressure and low blood sugar. The sea salt usually noamrlizes the blood pressure. As to the unstable blood sugar, or hypoglycemia, it important to drink plenty of water during the meals so that insulin would not over react, causing hypoglycemia whenever there is a rise in blood sugar after meals. Some chromium supplements help such as 500 mcg a day is the common remedy. Granulated lecithin also helps by reducing excessive fat buildup so liver can detox. Alkalization normalizes the liver function by normalizing its pH function. If there is any other detoxing that is needed is likely to be a blood detox remedy. The best remedy for blood detox is 1 capful or preferably one half capful of 3% H2O2 food grade in one liter of drinking water. And drink this throughout the day to get whatever toxic substance out. In some people, the sweat and urine will smell bad for the first 3 or 4 days with frequent urination as the body tries to dump excessive toxin buildup. After that period, a peroxide remedy maybe discontinued for about a week or so to get the body to recover to restore its antioxidant levels and may be continued again as needed.Ted"
07/22/2009: Anonymous replies: "I have tried the sea water for 4 days straight but it did not help. I just feel not their 24/7. thank you and I will try these cures. how long till I notice a difference. also should I do the baking soda lime thing, or the apple cider vinegar thing for brain fog. also why are my eyes bloodshot constantly and hurt when I look outside or go outside. and why do I feel confused and brain fogged when going outside?"
07/22/2009: Ted replies, "Should you do sea salt and isn't improving, then it appears to be Epstein Barr Viruses, which in few cases causes brain fog, besides heavy metal poisoning. In this case, hydrogen peroxide mentioned, and or clove oil is used. Lemon oil is one supporting remedy that dissolve viral coating and killing them. There is a few cases that was fungus, but that required harder to acquire remedy, assuming of course mold isn't a problem.Ted"

NO REMEDIES ARE WORKING!
08/18/2007: N writes: "Back in 2000 when I was 31, I was living in NYC. I had bad dysmenhorrea - super painful periods and sometimes on the first day of my period would vomit so much I would have to go to the hospital to get rehydrated. This happened in 2000 and the ER docs told me to drink more water. So the next day I drank loads of Poland Springs. Same the next. Then the next day after lunch at work (it was a stressfull day) my heart started to race and my vision changed and I was told this was a panic attack but it lasted two weeks. The only way I could stop it was to take Ativan and pass out, when I'd wake up it would start over.
At the time of this "collapse" I had severe fatigue and the fog has not lifted since but the heart racing didn't occur to that degree again. I lost my job and my insurance because I got no diagnosis from the many doctors I saw. I'm not going to go into all the things I've tried (candida diet, liver flushes, adrenal fatigue treatments etc), but I learned a few things as I have gone along. I did the Master Cleanse but only lasted 6 days back in June. Part of the time I felt better than I had in a while, but I got a severe pain at the bottom of my left lung like a swelling of sorts and my gums receded exposing my roots which was PAINFUL. During the cleanse I had to use Celtic Sea salt (Light Grey) and I have found since that the salt is what causes this swelling or pain in that area. I was using it in my water. Now previously I was drinking water that was cleansed through a magnetic house system but then it went through a water softener, so now I use the bypass but was adding the sea salt. Can't use it now. In July I was getting kidney stones so I started to take some magnesium and wow I really got my hopes up as the fatigue and fog were slightly getting better. Then I tried a Magnesium oil and got severely sick last week. The fog got worse and I dont' know what happened. I know I'm dehydrated cuz even if I take a short shower, my hands get pruny. Is there a reason a person cannot get hydrated? I have low blood pressure so I don't have diabetes but I do get bouts with low blood sugar. Drinking smart water this week has helped but I get concerned about drinking too much water and ending up as I did back in 2000. I saw a lot of what you wrote on minerals and fulvic acid, I had tried the fulvic liquid minerals from some company and it made my condition worse. I'm just really confused on what to do. Maybe I got too much salt in me from drinking through the water softener for so long? Do you know much about that? I only weigh 100 pounds and am 5'2 and I want my life back and I feel like there is something that has to do with water but how do I keep it in me if I can't use the salt or is that ok? Yeesh. If you have time to read this and respond, I would greatly appreciate it. N"
Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "First things first, there's a difference between different kinds of magnesium. The body really respond quite different to various magnesium compounds. A better form of magnesium is the magnesium citrate. The magnesium oil is only promoted by one company and they used the magnesium chloride solution, which appears to look oily. However people with an acidosis problem would not likely to benefit from the magnesium chloride, as they do with the magnesium bicarbonate or magnesium citrate, which is a more alkaline form of magnesium. Magnesium should generally be used in such as 250 mg, mixed in a glass of water or for some sensitive people 100 -250 mg with plenty of water.
As to the brain fog being an issue, it would appears to be a non-water issue being the real problem, such as the body's urinary pH is off (usually it's the acidosis where urinary pH is well below an optimum of 7) and most people who do get sick have urinary pH below 6. The other issue is the body's antioxidant level is off, being on the oxidizing side, where vitamin C sodium ascorbate would have helped more. Of course this can be easily measure to see whether the Oxidation Reduction Potential of urinary samples is -50 millivolts or above would usually indicate the body's antioxidant level is low.
However the most common brain fog I encountered and remedy that has worked was the baking soda with lime which can be (for a small frame, more sensitive people) would likely be 1/2 lime (or 4 teaspoon of lime juice freshly squeezed, plus 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 1/2 glass of water twice a day.
The other cause of brain fog I have found had to do with heavy metals. If a dithizone tester is available or heavy metals are checked in the urine, it is likely that certain heavy metals is causing the brain fog, such as mercury, lead, cadmium, for example. Of course, getting an analysis for most people are expensive, and it is cheaper at least for me to follow on that assumption and try eating only a small amount of chinese parsley on an empty stomach a couple of leaves once every two days, or add those in soups, taken once every two days. Taking too much would result in negative detoxifying effect during the remedy, however a few leaves once every two days and a lime and bicarbonate remedy is unlikely to result in those condition. Finally magnesium when using them, it is important to realize that different kinds of magnesium works differently. The more alkalizing magnesium such as citrate is likely to work best for people who are acidic, which I have seen to be frequently the case for people with brain fog.
Finally two more remedy helpful for brain fog is the vitamin b complex, taken once every two days or three days, plus perhaps once in the morning 3 drops of H2O2 3% in one glass of water plus 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda should help complete the problem.
As to the dysmenorrhea, the remedy that has helped many of my friends during or before menstruation (which obviously shortens the time of menstruation period from 7 days to about 2.5 days lessening the infection and riding of the clotting of the blood (which can cause pain) and the excesses of dietary calcium. The remedy is usually taking aspirin, vitamin C sodium ascorbate (250 mg), and vitamin E, and not too frequent, but a small amount of magnesium such as 100 mg in a glass of water. Most of the improvements were seen from the vitamin E and aspirin during the menstruation pains. The blood should be fresher, less black and the body should at least get rid of them faster before the infections set in due to overextended menstruation. That has always been my observation. Evening primrose oil I also found to be helpful, but those are take once a week or two.
In summary it is the lowered antioxidant levels, heavy metal toxicity, acidosis, and improper kinds of magnesium being used that is the problem, rather than the issue of water."

NO REMEDIES ARE WORKING!
08/17/2007: N writes: "Hi thank you for your reply,

So no pills? I have Mag Citrate pills from Thorne research are they ok? The stuff I took that helped me feel good was a mix of different magnesiums but then my stomach hurt. I really liked Mag. Glycinate I could feel an instant boost overall but it killed my stomach.
The other cause of brain fog I have found had to do with heavy metals. I had two hair tests done when I first became ill - no signs of heavy metal issues if they are to be trusted. I had the merc taken out of my teeth before I got sick (just before) and after I got sick I got my three root canals properly removed. None of this proved to help in any way. I did a buttload of chelation anyways and it did nothing.
Of course, getting an analysis for most people are expensive, and it is cheaper at least for me to follow on that assumption and try eating only a small amount of chinese parsley on an empty stomach a couple of leaves once every two days, or add those in soups, taken once every two days.
Ironically, I did buy some of this a few hours before I wrote you just because I was worried about what else that mag oil may contain. It can't hurt to use the cilantro I'm guessing. Just hate the taste.
Finally two more remedy helpful for brain fog is the vitamin b complex, taken once every two days or three days, plus perhaps once in the morning 3 drops of H2O2 3% in one glass of water plus 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda should help complete the problem.
For some reason b complex's make me nauseated. I can tolerate Nutritional Yeast but Brewer's Yeast makes me sick. I've yet to find a B cplx that I like. The remedy is usually taking aspirin, Can't take aspirin, make my back hurt the next day all over. I find with the period issues the Magnesium helped immensely, I know I am dealing with undiagnosed endometriosis though and that poses some issues that I have mildly been able to deal with thru www.sensiblehealth.com. I can't have anything estrogenic - not primrose oil in fact all oils - minus olive seem to add to the misery. I can't take any estrogenic herbs at all - milk thistle, turmeric, MSM and even Stevia can make a hellish nightmare for me. Nearly everything that is normal to help pms or liver cleansing is not ideal for me unfortunately, believe me I tried!
In summary it is the lowered antioxidant levels, heavy metal toxicity, acidosis, and improper kinds of magnesium being used that is the problem, rather than the issue of water.
How much water is ok to drink? Does it ever stop running right thru ya? I would like to leave the house and not have to whiz every ten minutes. Ok, I appreciate your time so much and will go mix up my lime and non aluminum bkg soda now. Thanks, N"
Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Dear N:
So no pills? I have Mag Citrate pills from Thorne research are they ok?
That would be fine.
The stuff I took that helped me feel good was a mix of different magnesiums but then my stomach hurt. I really liked Mag. Glycinate I could feel an instant boost overall but it killed my stomach.
Add plenty of water such as a full glass, the water will buffer the stomach and the magnesium is dissolved in the glass, fully diluted. In case if there is some kind of very weak form of acid reflux in which case alkalizing should kill whatever microbes that seems to act up. One easy one to kill whatever microbes is there is a weak solution of milk of magnesia (without the aluminum, such as one teaspoon per 1/2 glass of water. If it magnesium glycinate is a problem (it might be food for certain microbes) then a more safer form appears to be the magnesium citrate).
The other cause of brain fog I have found had to do with heavy metals. I had two hair tests done when I first became ill - no signs of heavy metal issues if they are to be trusted.
It takes several months of heavy metal before it shows up in the hair. If you are sure you don't have heavy metal then it is also unlikely there's any negative reaction from eating a handful of chinese parsley. A person with overloaded heavy metal would react quite negatively at this dose as the heavy metals are being detoxed too rapidly.
In which case if heavy metals is not a problem (after the chinese parsley test), then its likely the urine pH is below 6.5, an acidosis can also initiate a brain fog, but on the other hand, lack of vitamin B complex, not enough lecithin, or magnesium can do the same too.
I had the merc taken out of my teeth before I got sick (just before) and after I got sick I got my three root canals properly removed. None of this proved to help in any way.
People who got out the mercury sooner before getting sick will likely get sick after the removal because some mercury is deposited during the removal just the same.
Assuming mercury is not the issue, then the other things down the line is an amino acid imbalance, essential oils, and vitamin B complex is what I will give a look, assuming of course the blood sugar is not too high or too low as those can initiate some brain fog just the same but with some other additional symptoms.
I did a buttload of chelation anyways and it did nothing.
If you are sure, then try the final chinese parsley and see how you that works. It's cheap and easy to find out. In which case it is best to look at other causes, such as the deficiency mentioned or alkalization.
One more thing -- There were a couple of cases of brain fog I remembered, assuming it's not heavy metal that was relieved by vitamin B complex, and alkaline (baking soda with 3 drops 3% hydrogen peroxide), one using magnesium and in another case was relieved by L-Glutathione. The Glutathione apparently detoxed the liver and body from toxins which were causing the brain fog."
