Dr. Kusmis got her ND (Doctor of Naturopathy) from the Clayton School of Natural Healing. She also studied herbology under Dr. Christopher, and Ayurveda under Dr. Saboda (a student of Vasant Lad). She studied acupuncture at the University of Colorado and received additional training and certification on getting even more effective results by using electro-acupuncture at the Institute of Bio-Molecular Education and Research.

Dr. Kusmis also received a MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut. She is quite knowledgeable about numerous electro-therapies, although she now favors healing with energetics which use the human body as a finely tuned instrument instead.

She was in a PhD program in bio-medical engineering at Syracuse University, but although she excelled in her studies there, she chose to withdraw in order to move to Colorado under the advise of a medical doctor, who said her sick child required a climate change. She later did receive a PhD in comparative religion, in addition to becoming licensed as a pastoral counselor. After receiving a subsequent certification in hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), she incorporated that modality into her counseling practice.

While in Colorado, Dr. Kusmis founded and operated three pre-schools while simultaneously working as a computer design engineer for IBM Corporation, specializing in bio-medical equipment and applications. There she developed a long term friendship with Dr. Marcel Vogel, who trained her in the effective usage of his precision laser cut quartz crystals for healing.

Having devoted an hour each morning and evening to spiritual meditation for over 30 years, Dr. Kusmis is quite intuitive. However, she does not believe it should be necessary to seek medical advise from external experts. Instead she trains clients to activate their own inner powers of discernment as well as capabilities for self-healing.

Although Dr. Kusmis is a Reiki Master, she no longer uses Reiki or crystals as a healing modality. Instead, she now favors Kathara, which uses color symbol codes and sound, drawing in frequencies from the 12th dimension and higher where the original blue-print for health and wellness remains uncorrupted.
