Rev. Phil Marden began his energy healing practice in 1986 and is one of the country's leading practitioners of energy healing. This ancient art of healing uses laying-on-of-hands techniques to cure physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances ranging from cancer and cardiac disease to spinal injury, immune disorders, chronic pain and emotional distress. Rev. Marden has dedicated over 30 years of study, practice and apprenticeship with masters from the world's healing traditions. He apprenticed with Orestes Valdes, world-renowned Afro-Cuban shaman, Barbara Brennan and the Reverend Rosalyn Bruyere. In his private practice in Brooklyn, New York, he successfully works with clients to realign vertebrae, heal disk and bone ailments and has eliminated the need for surgery by shrinking tumors in breast cancer patients. He was approached by the Complimentary Care Research Program at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City to demonstrate the effect of energy healing in the destruction of cancer cells. He has given ongoing lectures to breast cancer groups in Seattle, WA. and has been interviewed on CBS News about his work in this field. Marden is a consulting energy healer with several physicians in the greater New York area. The November 1997 issue of American Health for Women magazine features Rev Marden's work in the operating rooms of the Reed Center, NYC, Columbian Presbyterian Medical Center, NYC and the Mayo Clinic at Phoenix General North in Phoenix, AZ. Staff at the above mentioned facilities have noted that Rev. Marden's hands-on presence in the operating room during surgery promotes less stress for the patient and a peaceful environment for the attending physicians. His work increases life force in the patient during the surgery which reduces the level of trauma in the system and shortens the recovery period. Patients also report less pain and the need for pain medication is reduced. As a pioneer of energy healing during surgical procedures, Rev. Marden believes strongly that a complete surgery is one that attends not only to the body but to all aspects of the patient. In response to requests for long distance healing, Rev. Marden offers this service as part of his professional practice and is available for long distance telephone healing sessions. Most recently, while continuing his private healing practice, Phil travels the United States to educate professional athletes, teams, practitioners and families in the healing benefits and use of low level lasers. This portable healing devise helps the body to activate its own healing ability and has proven to be an effective tool for most physical conditions.
