PICK THE ONE WHOSE INGREDIENTS SAY; APPLES OR APPLE CIDER VINEGAR & REDUCED with water to 5% acidity (5% acetic acid. Most all the others are going to be distilled acetic acid and some are colored to look like apple cider vinegar."

[YEA]  02/04/2008: Isolda Burlesque from Manchester, UK writes: "Whilst visiting Scandinavia two years ago I visited "Overskottsbolaget," a discount store selling everything from axes to ladies underwear, lawnmowers to baked beans, and amongst the vitamins I found tubes of soluable ACV, produced by a company called 'body boost'. I had noticed that ACV was widely drunk in sweden, being available in Tetra packs in the supermarket, and was intrigued.I brought home a couple of the tubes (they were packed like sterident, in plastic tubes) and tried it. Nothing happened and I stopped using it, and for a while they languished in the back of the cupboard. Five months later I found them again and started using them, as a drink in warm water. Believe it or not I lost nearly 28 pounds in a month. I still ate as normal, never dieted, didnt do any strenuous exercise.The strange thing was I never noticed, not at first and it was other people who have said, "wow look at you loosing weight!" Not only this, I suffer from Rhuematoid Arthritis and ME ( only mildly) and during the time of taking the ACV, never had an attack of either. And, even more..a mild skin complaint cleared up and my skin and eyes looked clearer and fresher. I have no other explanation other than it being the ACV. On another visit to Sweden last August saw me emptying Overskottsbolaget of their ACV, and apparently my contacts over there say they havent seen any since! I have recently started to take it again to lose a few pounds before a function in March..fingers crossed!"

i live in england and heard about the apple cider vinegar diet so i went online. i found out that you can go to holland and barrets for the pills. go to tesco's or morrisins for the actual vinegar. both are meant to work extremely well. with the pills read the label. with the vinegar take it with a glass of water after breakfast, after lunch and before bed. take the very minute after eating it will work better. in the water place two tablespoons of vinegar in the glass with the water.

I am really impressed with the number of people who use this site. I was diagnosed with RA about 2 months ago. I firstly refused to take the drugs but my pain just kept on increasing, so I am taking naproxen and sulpsalazine and to an extent i do feel less stiffness, BUT I want to try an alternative method. I went out and brought an organic apple cyder vinegar and an organic honey but upon further reading I keeping hearing about this "mother" that should be in the cyder vinegar. Does any one know where in Leicester or even in the UK, I can get the cyder vinegar( which has the mother) and is it important to have the "mother" in the ACV? furthermore as far as I understand, I should start with 2 teaspoon in 8oz of water three times a day, is that correct. I would be grateful if EC can respond or if any one else has any ideas. Thank you so much."

EC: No worries, most organic acv should have "the mother" in it. If it has sediment at the bottom of the bottle, it has the mother.

06/27/2009: Sheena from Glasgow, Scotland replies: "I had trouble finding ACV with "mother" initially too. I'd say your best bet is to try any independent health shops in your area, chain health shops don't seem to sell the real thing. That's how I found it originally, but I now buy online. Just search for "apple cider vinegar with mother" and select UK only sites."

06/28/2009: Noels from Wolverhampton, UK replies: "If you Google Cider Vinegar you will find at least two sites in the UK. One in Somerset and the one in North Devon which I use. To buy just 1 bottle is quite expensive because of postage costs. I therefore buy 5 Ltrs either in bottles or Wine Bag type containers then share it with family and friends.Hope this helps.
