[YEA] Nycole from White City, Oregon writes: "My Grandmother discovered this remedy shortly before her son (my uncle) passed away from pancreatic cancer. She had tried all kinds of different things mainstream health care and herbal care but nothing seemed to stop the progression. As you may know pancreatic cancer is one of the most progressive types of cancer which made it even more difficult. She discovered "black Salve" (blood root and zinc paste) only a month or two before he passed away by that time the cancer had spread all over his body. She began applying it to a large area with the most cancer and wrapping him with gauze. It began working immediately the cancer was beginning to come through the skin in clumps. Though she continued the process for a long time it did not work quick enough at the stage that he was in and he passed away shortly. Since then my grandmother has made it a mission to let people know about this alternative cancer remedy. This has been used by Indians for hundreds of years. It remove warts, virus's, moles and cancers. When Chemo fails and makes you sick and weak and you hair falls out there is a better method. I will warn you this is neither a painless or pretty process, but it is effective. My grandma has taken on many "patients" and supplied them with this black salve and healing salve and showed them how to do it. She has had over 20 successful cases where any cancer from lung to breast to skin have literally disappeared and saved death row people from death. She has them keep going to the doctors for regular check-ups and x-rays by the time they are done with the regimen the are healthy and the doctors are baffled. This is something that needs to be known about and something doctors need to stop denying. I will warn you again it is painful and it is not pretty and it might leave a little scaring buy between life and death could you deal with that right? What you do is go to the doctor get you x-ray apply it over the area that is most infected with cancer you begin to see it come out day by day. You want to rotate every other day with heal salve to heal a little too. but if you can take the pain for a month or so you should be able to get rid of he cancer and live many more happy years. Beats years of chemo huh :)"

[YEA] Lisa from Mabou, Nova Scotia writes: "Bloodroot, grown often as an ornamental in gardens has proven to be an amazing remedy for the removal of facial moles!!! I had on, dark brown mole on my chin that grew darker and larger over the years. I stumbled upon this remedy and decided to try it. Absolutely amazing! The pulverized root mixed with a little cayenne pepper and a drop of grapefuit seed extract was applied to the lightly scratched surface of the mole. This was covered with a bandaid and left overnight. In the morning I applied a hot compress for 1 minute. Then the bandaid was removed. A scab had formed over the surface of the mole. I applied an antibiotic ointment over this. It is important to let the scab fall of in it's own time! After three (!) days the scab fell off and my mole I had lived with for 15 years is COMPLETELY gone!!!"

[YEA] Victoria from Rumson, NJ writes: "Blood Root helped elminated skin tags

I have an Bloodroot Extract that has a dry herb strength of 1.4 other ingredients are 55% grape alchol and filtered water.

I have applied the extract directly to skin tags via a Q-tip and also make a tinture out of this to take internally. I use 1 quart warm water with 15 drops of the extract.

My skin tags have both falling off and shrunk - I have been using externally for about a year.

I also noticed that when I started drinking lemon water, they seemed to shrink even more. They used to "sprout" out, now the remaining ones are much closer to the skin.

I haven't been particularly agressive with the treatment, but it certain does work. With this extract, there really is no topical skin burning, however the tags that have fallen off did get swollen and itchy before they "let go".

As to the internal, I can say when I sip the tinture tea, you do get kind of physical "buzz" from it - it must be working!

[YEA] Monica from Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA writes: "Blood Root Salve which I am buying from someone who will not tell me who she buys from nor will she tell me the exact ingredients. My husband died of cancer which first started as small spots on his penis. He heard about blood root and bought the salve but it was so painful that he could not stand using it and went in the conventional methods.

I noticed some very weird spots all over my face and tried some of his salve. It attacked the spots and took almost half my lip off in the process, which has grown back totally. I found more spots on my back and it is removing them with silver dollar size black scabs, raised about half an inch of the skin. I am convinced that since the skin grows back with no scar, that this salve also stimulates the adult stem cells and gets them to repair the damaged areas. I have terrible arthritis and two hip replacements. I am putting this, diluted with vaseline on and around my knee joints and the pain seems to be going away. I think it might be rebuilding my knee. I also had a head injury which knocked out my short term memory. I am gaining full brain function back. I am also taking a small amount of this internally. A friend of mine started using it to cure headaches and he noticed that his brain was unusually sharp when attempting to do extremely difficult tasks.

My husband and I and our dog set up a machine shop in the cellar of an old cow killing plant, where the hides had been cured. I figure he, I, and also the dog, got cancer after hanging out there for three years and breathing the dust etc. My dog has some kind of cancer in her breathing tubes, I am giving her bloodroot also. I can see small pieces of cancer coming out of my body in my shits. Also from the dog. I am convinced if my husband had been able to withstand the pain and just used the bloodroot salve both externally and internally he would still be alive.

I would like to obtain a recipe to make the salve which can also be ingested and I would like to start growing bloodroot, and all the other plants which go into making it. I would like to make it available at a more reasonable price to whoever needs it. If anyone knows a good way to make it please let me know."

[WARNING!] Carolyn from Bay City, MI USA writes: "I used bloodroot paste on a mole on my stomach. This is what I learned: It is very powerful. Be sure to put it ONLY on the spot you want gone. That's what I did at first, but when it got all white around it, I put more paste all over that too! I mistakenly thought that it was trying to reattach. Over and over for about 4 days. Not a good idea. Now I realize I should have been careful to put it only on the spot itself. The resulting area would most likely have been much smaller.

It developed into a big sore. Was swollen and red and hurt like heck! BUT each day the redness and soreness lessened, so I wasn't too worried about it. I used antibiotic cream with a pain killer on bandaid and kept it covered. It was rather interesting watching the process, even though pretty gross. Then the center of the thing got sorta rubbery and began to loosen around the edges. Now that hurt, but I realized that it was getting ready to fall out. When it came out, it left a pretty deep looking hole about the size of a quarter. All in all this process took about 2 weeks, but the crater that it left is filling in nicely.

At no time did it seem to be infected, all fluid was clear, and I could see improvement each day.

I will be much more careful should I decide to use it again."

[YEA] Kate from Nevada City, CA USA writes: "I have used black salve successfully on many different skin lesions, as well as moles. Two years ago I had an initial, very painful outbreak of shingles on my chest. After several days of suffering I decided to try black salve on the blisters. At first it hurt like heck, but it hurt anyway. By the next day the pain and itching were gone. It took a long time to heal completely, and a couple more spots appeared in the area along the way (which I treated also), but the pain was gone and it eventually healed nicely. I still have scars, but no more problems since.

I haven't seen any other postings for using it on shingles, so I thought someone might find it helpful.

[WARNING!] Donna from Washington, DC writes: "I used the bloodroot salve almost three weeks ago. I only used a little bit on four small moles, probably the size of a pin head and covered the area with a bandaid. The next morning I had redenss and swelling under my eyes and scabs where the moles were. It looked like I was in a fight! I called the company and was very frustrated. The guy told me that the reaction was normal, and that it would heal. Within the next two days the scab came off of one which is healed, but light in color. On the left side of my face was the bigger mole. It was a little bigger than a pin head, but once the mole fell off the area was bigger. That area has also healed, but is white in color with some darkness around the circled area. Once again I contacted the company and the guy stated that the skin would repigment over time. The problem that I am experiencing now is on my left cheek where I removed three small moles. My excema has flared up, which is making my skin look terrible. I am trying to be patient with this process but it is very frustating. I would not advise using the cream on your face."

[YEA] Peggy from Gulf Breeze, FL writes: "About a year ago, I decided to use bloodroot to remove a pencil- eraser-sized mole on the left side of my chin close to the jaw line just below my mouth. I chose the bloodroot/DMSO combination since I understood that the DMSO would speed the process through the skin. I have to say that I was not prepared for what happened. Once I had started the process, though, there was no turning back. I covered just the mole with the bloodroot paste and kept it covered. I reapplied the paste for about a week. First, the mole turned a cheesy looking white. Then, it scabbed over and had a white ring completely around the edge of it. By this time, the whole thing was about the size of a dime. My jaw swelled up and there were shooting pains in it that kept me from sleeping. This really scared me and I contacted someone for advice. I was advised after about six days of applying the salve to stop applying it, just keep the scab area covered, swab around the OUTSIDE of it with peroxide and it would loosen and fall off. This seemed to take a little longer than I anticipated, but when I added a little warm compress, it truly did pop right out. You certainly don\'t want to rush this - it has to fall out on its own. The back of the \"mole\" was grayish and smoothe with little dots on it that I assume were the tiny blood vessels that had supplied blood to it. The spot where the mole had been looked like I had taken a paper punch and punched out a circle of skin. I thought I was in for a bad scar, but I started putting vitamin E on it and organic coconut oil. It\'s been a year now and the spot is not very noticable to anyone but me, and that\'s because I know its there. I continue to keep it oiled and also use anti-scar products just for good measure. The faint of heart should NOT use bloodroot, especially on their face. Using it on a floppy mole in some inconspicious place covered by clothing would probably be a lot less scary. My mole was fairly large and well anchored, and on my face - not the floppy kind on a stalk. I do think it is amazing stuff, BUT extreme care needs to be taken when using it. "

[WARNING!] Alex from London, United Kingdom writes: "I tried bloodroot bought off ebay last autum (2007) I do like herbal alternate remedies and was quite excited when reading about bloodroot. Looking at my moles for years (and being vain) I rejoiced at the possibility of having them vanish in an easy and scarless fashion (as proclaimed) Got a bit carried away though and decided to eradicate all about 30-40 off them on front and back of torso at once. Thought if they do take a few weeks to heal and might be unseemly in the mean time (plus I won\'t be able to use the sunbed to avoid pigment scarring) it would be better to do them all at once, rather than one after the other (which would have taken month and month...) The result was major discomfort - after 2-3 applications my body seemed to turn into a sea of skin irritation and itching!!! It really did drive me up the wall and since there was no position in which I could lie painless and itchfree (forget Paracetamol - won\'t help a bit), I did not realy sleep for 2 weeks.

Now for the benefit of the procedure. Some moles fell off pretty soon (especially the more raised ones) and have vanished hence. Mostly though - especially the smaller ones were still there when the scabs came off and I still have slight reddening around them. For the bigger flat ones - one fell off (with about 5mm of underneath skin tissue leaving a 8mm itching crater in the skin - took about another 10 days to close up and the result is a reddish smoth round scar as big as the mole there used to be. Several other bigger moles did prevail as well and are now suspiciouse looking, i.e. they are now multicoloured and less regular shaped. It does also seem a bit as if I have a few more tiny moles in vicinity to where treated mole on my abdomen. (cannot swear on that though). The post-bloodroot look of the multicolored moles did get me worried and my GP had two biopsised. Fortunately the biopsies were benign. They will still cut them both out completly to make sure though(ergo in the end the bloodroot did help me get rid of two more big moles, by causing the NHS to pay for their excision). If someone were to ask me - don\'t use bloodroot for the heck of it. Make sure that the moles you treat are really draining your self worth and not just little beauty spots. Consider the options - when I had the biopsis done the process was much more \'comfortable\' that the bloodroot procedure, it did not hurt, did not itch and left less scarring yet.

My husband did try it on a rather large skin tag. It was difficult to cover w/bandaid. It got really gross also but one day it turned BLACK!! and eventually fell off. I guess the tag was too large (about 1/2 inch long???) so he had to do it again. Both time it definitely was painful. But it now is just a little bump but always pink. I don\'t think he wants to try it anymore. He cut off another one that was smaller and that was the easier way to go.

It did what everyone else has said - scabbed, turned black, got a white ring, fell out. but now, ive got 2 hideous hypertrophic scars (red and raised) which my surgeon says will take years to fade. the one on my arm is about 1cm diameter while the mole was originally only about 2mm. There are complications with revising hypertrophic scars so for the mean time im stuck with them. Im not usually prone to hypertrophic scarring either. The freaky part is that beneath the scar there is a dark patch where the mole appears to be growing back. Now I feel like there are bigger things to worry about than permanent scars - like has the Bloodroot made a way for mole cells to access beneath the skin? If so am I at risk of melanoma?
SCARRING WITH BLOODROOT

[YEA] Cary from Phoenix, Arizona writes: "I have never used bloodroot, however I have read that it can cause scars. Scars such as burn scars are treated by continually keeping the skin moist. Extreme moisture\' should allow all of the capillaries to grow back to gather fully, thus preventing scar tissue. The point I am making is that if it works for preventing scars for burn victims than it should prevent most other scaring. Keep in mind that what ever you use, it must contain antibacterial properties. Failure to do so my allow the area to become infected with bacteria and other nasty fungus, etc Neosporin and burn creams such as 1% silver sulfadiazine cream are two product that work well. It would also be beneficial if you can cover the area with a thin plastic wrap. Here in the USA we call it saran wrap. Its\' the same thing they put over a new tattoo. Then a bandage, gauze or ace bandage will hold it in place. DO NOT let a scab form or else it will prevent the capillaries from forming new healthy skin. The scab is what causes the scaring in the first place. I have found that it is ok to let the bandaged area dry out a few hours a day. If the skin starts to harden, that\'s ok. It should soften up once again after you reapply the ointment and bandage.

Ps. If you have pre existing scar tissue you can use the same method, however it take much linger once the scar has already had time to form. God bless...
