Apple Cider Vinegar Book

10/21/2012: Staff from Earth Clinic: "

Hi Earth Clinic, I'm Dan Kray, the editor here at the website. And even if this is your first day on EarthClinic.com, you've heard about Apple Cider Vinegar. It seems to be the one natural remedy that seems to offer some health benefit to every body and everyone!

For high blood sugar, for high blood pressure. For low blood pressure. For someone who wants to lose a little weight. For someone else who just wants a little pick-me-up.

If you want more information on the health benefits of apple cider vinegar, the book "Apple Cider Vinegar: A Modern Folk Remedy" is a great resource. You can check it out at our online bookstore at EarthClinic.com, on Amazon, or in your local bookstore."

Nature's Best Remedies

10/21/2012: Staff from Earth Clinic: "

Hi Earth Clinic, my name is Dan Kray, and I'm the editor here on the website. Today I'm happy to bring you this video on our second Earth Clinic publication, "Nature's Best Remedies". It's our distillation of all that's best on the website, and we've put it together in response to requests that many of you have made of us throughout the years.

Earth Clinic is in its second decade now, and that means it has lots of information. Tons! Lots of feedback has poured into the website from across the globe over the years. But sometimes you want a quick and fast answer to your health concerns. We think we've succeeded in providing exactly that in this book, "Nature's Best Remedies".

I think this is a great resource for a first aid reference or for sharing with any family member suffering from long-term ailments. There are nearly 200 different ailments addressed in this book, and for each one there are several positively reviewed home remedies. And these reviews are based on user experiences from many users across the years—the best resource you can find, your own peers!

If you would like to learn more, check out the publications page in the store at EarthClinic.com. You can also order the book through Amazon or your local bookseller. Either way, the Clinic is always open and we're always glad to see you there."

Sodium Ascorbate

10/21/2012: Staff from Earth Clinic: "

I'm Deirdre with Earth Clinic and I'm here today to show you how to make Vitamin C, Sodium Ascorbate. This is my favorite way to take vitamin C. I take this home remedy daily, and when I'm feeling sick I may take a glass 2-4 times a day. But for general maintenance, just take it once a day.

So you need vitamin C ascorbic acid. You'll find it as vitamin C powder sometimes, and you may pay $10-14 for about 16 oz of ascorbic acid powder. The second ingredient is any sort of baking soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate, and then of course water. Plus you'll need a quarter teaspoon measuring spoon.

  • 1/4 teaspoon ascorbic acid powder
  • 1/8th teaspoon baking soda
  • About 4-6 oz of water

I like to take this on an empty stomach. Not necessarily first thing in the morning, as it can be a little harsh. But I would say it's perfect for the middle of the day or a couple of hours after breakfast or any other meal.

Tip: Warm your water a bit first so that the ingredients dissolve more easily!"

10/21/2012: Absa from Salmiya, Hawally, Kuwait: "videos on hair loss and its cure for females would be great"

11/26/2012: Karla from Nanaimo, Bc replies: "Yes this would be great. I too have experience some hair loss now that I have hit 40 years.

I have heard that hair loss in females is due to either low iron or a thyroid problem. I found ot through my doctor that I was extremely low in in iron, so I began supplementing with iron pills (taken with Vitamin C). I can't say that it has made my hair grow back at this point."
