<description>[SIDE EFFECTS] Lori from Delta, Co writes: "I have been taking a tablespoon of Blackstrap Molasses for over a year every morning and just got my blood drawn because of my fatigue and blah feeling. Come to find out my ferritin level was high. I am post menopausal so I have stopped taking the molasses due to high iron levels. Beware of taking iron supplements. I really miss taking my molasses because of the potassium and the magnesium. It helps keep me regular. I am afraid to continue with it.

<description>[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] Deb from New Jersey writes: "I have been in severe pain with a pedunculated fibroid for 2 months. I got this post menopause. I found out if you lose alot of weight quickly this can happen. I was exhausted and having restless leg problem also. I took the molasses for one day and actually slept restfully. Woke up and first time no pain. My stomach also softened up and went down quite a bit. The taste is a bit heavy for me but I decided its worth it. I\'m going to use my mini ice cube tray and see if I can freeze it and drink it in my water. Thanks to all who posted their stories. God Bless!!

<description> Colleen from Brooklyn Park, Mn, USA writes: "I too am having issues with trying to drink down the Blackstrap Molasses. When I started taking it I would mix it with warm water and honey. It was ok. Now I have started adding it to my protien shakes with peanut butter. Today I made a protien shake with a banana and it\'s the best ever. The molasses strong flavor is hiden by the banana and the strong banana flavor is lessoned by the molasses. I\'m not a fan of bananas in my shakes but this is wonderful. I have also mixed it with peanut butter and ate it on my toaste with honey. I know the BSM is helping me and my mentrual cycle however the taste is hard for me to stomach. Please keep posting your tricks for drinking down this black tar. I appreciate the recipes.

<description>[YEA] Broadbelle from Raleigh, Nc writes: "I started taking BS molasses about two months ago to alleviate some issues I have had having now for years around restless legs and other sleep problems. Since taking it at bedtime (about two teaspoons) I have slept like a baby every single night. I do not toss and turn. I do not wake up and not be able to go back to sleep. I sleep soundly and peacefully through the night. I have no more restless legs or other sleep problems. Regardless of what is keeping you from sleeping - I highly recommend this non-medical approach to getting good sleep! And good sleep in turn results in better health all the way around!

<description>[YEA] Arn from Kenmore, Wa. writes: "We need to understand the difference between elemental iron and organic iron. The reduced iron in your breakfast cereal and enriched flour is nothing more than iron filings. An anemic friend got a prescription from her doc that was nothing more than powdered rust in glycerine. Elemental iron actually causes pernicious anemia, according to the PDR. It\'s the inorganic iron that builds up in your system and acts as a free radical.

In contrast, the iron compounds in molasses are in an organic form compounded by the plant to be useful to living things, and safe. I wouldn\'t worry about overdosing on molasses.

By the way, molasses is a superfood indeed. They start with a field of plants, remove the water, fiber, sugar, and what\'s left is concentrated organic minerals! If such a thing were formulated in a lab it would be ridiculously expensive. But here it is, dirt cheap and delicious.

<description>[YEA] Bea from San Antonio, Tx writes: "Amazing for me and a friend of mine. Both of us had extremely heavy periods. I suffered two miscarriages and two DNC\'s. Horrible, my periods were never the same again for two years. I was anemic, losing a lot of blood, huge clots, flooding pads, staining clothes at work, wouldn\'t leave the house. Desperate I looked for a natural way to going under the knife.

This has been amazing. I bought organic, BSM at our health food store. Started taking it DAY OF and added a 1/4 tsp. Of baking soda just because I read how good it is for you, just so desperate I tried it. 2 tbs. In am. 1 at night in an 8oz. Glass of room temp. Water. First day, I could see a change not as many clots, flooding, cramping and I didn\'t have to go home from work! Continued this for the entire cycle and results kept getting better. For the first time in two years I had a regular 7 day period. I was so happy!

My friend suffered for 7 years. I gave her the recipe, she actually did it and she said she could really tell a difference, she did not go 20 days (I don\'t know how she lived that way, but women do??) bleeding straight and instead she had an 8 day cycle. She could not believe it either. I dont know how it works but it works and ever since I found this site I hope with all my heart more women find it. (p. S. I also read BSM is great against constipation ;)

<description> Hubert from Phoenix, Az., United States writes: "I am going to try Black Strap Molasses (BSM) in an effort to eliminate some of my grey hair, but I am a novice as far as BSM is concerned, so would one of the BSM Veterans wade in and respond to my comments and questions.

There were a few people who stated in their post that they were taking BSM in hopes of minimizing/eliminating their grey hair; they went on to explain they had to discontinue their regimen due to the high sugar content of BSM, which had a negative impact on them. I'm wondering if they were taking the unsulphered BSM. Is there is a difference between the unsulphered and plain BSM?

Also I was wondering would it be ok to use BSM in hot green tea with lemon? Normally I use honey as a sweetner, because I believe it is a healthy alternative to sugar. But I would like to start my BSM regimen with green tea and lemon; providing the beneficial effects of the BSM won't be diminished.

<description> Pragnya from Mumbai, India writes: "Hi. I purchased Plantation organic unsulfured blackstrap molasses from an organ ic store in Mumbai. I paid 1100 (approx $22) for one single bottle. Damn expensive but health is worth more.

But I suspect its fake because the bottle had this sticker taping on the small lid on the bottle as opposed to the regular proper plastic sealing that u have to break open the first time. I had expected the sealing to be the way it is on water bottle, which is turned to break the 2 plastic binds for opening bottle

However this bottle did not have that seal. My question to all my earthclinic mates- IN THE US OR UK , where this brand is sold, is it properly sealed where the seal needs to be turned/rotated slightly to open bottle or does it comes with a sticker on an open lid only?

Pls do reply.awaiting
