Prayers That Heal
5/7/2007: It's about time we started up a remedy page about prayers that have healed! We now have over 1,200 participants in our experimental prayer/meditation group who obviously believe that prayer has the power to heal.
OUR BACK STORY
About 6 years ago, we put up a prayer request page (yes, another one of our experiments) which announced that we would pray/meditate for anyone who submitted a healing request for 30 days straight, send them feedback each night via email that we had done so, and do it all for free. Yep, that's right: 30 days of prayer, 30 nights of correspondence, not a penny charged. That's a lot of work for nothing, right? Well, it was the stage when we were quite naive about the power of Search Engines and thought that since the website didn't get a lot of traffic, we would only receive a handful of requests. Ha! Within 3 days of posting the new prayer request page, we received 10 requests for healing. By the end of the month, we were receiving 100 requests a day and had to shut down the page. 30 people we could handle, 1,000 we could not. As you might imagine, we were completely burned out at the end of 30 days. There was NO WAY we could continue that kind of energy and time expenditure!
Each day we spent anywhere from 2 - 5 minutes on each person, depending on the severity of his/her condition. We focused on exactly what had been requested in the email and indeed wrote those emails every night to tell folks that they or their family members had been prayed for. We received many requests from family members whose mothers/fathers/husbands/wives/etc were about to die and were hoping our prayers could resuscitate them. We also had "easier" requests: shingles attacks, recovery from a stroke, fibromyalgia symptoms, broken bones.
What we discovered from this process was that some people made quite miraculous recoveries when they knew they were being prayed for. It didn't matter that it was a stranger praying for them, it just mattered that someone was doing it day after day. For those folks that did lose family members during this 30 day process, the prayers helped them find strength to get through a very sorrowful time. The process also taught us that that people are desperate not only for healing, but for a meaningful connection to other human beings.

[YEA] 04/04/2008: Trish from Phoenix, Arizona writes: "On March 2nd, Earth Clinic prayer members prayed for the returning soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan.
In the most recent news, April 1, it was reported that the U.S. soldiers' tours of duty are being reduced from 15 months to 12 months. The prayers are working!"

[YEA] 04/03/2008: Kim H writes: "I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to this group of fine people. I was on their prayer list a month or two ago, added by a good friend. I'm 44, with a 13 year old daughter, and a 4 year breast cancer survivor. I just found out that the extremely aggressive tumors in my lungs and liver (discovered only 2 months ago) are completely gone. I can't tell you how many people told me they added me to their prayer list at their church. I firmly believe that the combination of chemo, prayer and quantum energy work I did on myself are what has given me this remarkable recovery in such a short time. I will be sure to prayer for the Tibetans, children, seals and members on Sunday.

04/06/2008: Kim H replies: "Of course, you may include it in next month's email. I don't have much more information. I'm a survivor of Her2/neu metastatic breast disease. This is an extremely aggressive form of breast cancer. It has a 100% recurrence rate. This disease was pretty much fatal until a few years back when the drug Herceptin came on the market. Now women with this disease are living quite long. I know that some people following this forum will be turned off by the fact that I'm doing chemo, did radiation and surgery, etc. But, I'm a believer that the combination of western and alternative is the best route for me. Quantum healing is a form of channeling energy to heal yourself or others. I'm new at it, but it is relaxing and anyone can do it. I've also had a distance healing from a QiGong healer and then, of course, lots and lots of prayer. I don't remember the dates of when my friend added me to your prayer page, but all of this recurrence and disappearance of the tumors has been within two months. The tumors were quite large and affected 75% of my liver. My CEA 125 (blood tumor marker) went from 22.1 down to 4.8 after just two chemo treatments. My lungs are now completely clear.

I asked Him for help. I would do this for a while, about a week or two. I felt different inside, so I bought a pack of cigaretts, went into the yard, stood by a barrel we used for burning papers, lit a cigarette, took s few puffs, nothing. No desire, no taste for it. I was so glad! I took the rest of the pack, threw in the barrel, and burned them. After about a week, I just wanted to make sure that I had quit, I bought a class ash tray, another pack and cigarettes, and try myself again. The same result, no desire, no taste, only a peace, and freedom that I was free.
About six years ago, I had a toe nail fungus on my right toe. I heard the ads about what to take, what to do. I started to look at my toe, and say, "Jesus, heal my toe." Sometime in my thoughts, sometime aloud. Even at times without thinking. I'm not sure how much time had gone by, but one day I looked at my toe, and nothing! as if there was never a fungus. It was not a gradual decline in the fungus,it was gone all at once. My heart is fixed. I'll not leave the Holy Trinity, never. thank you"

I loved your story and at the end I was highly touched by your request for your daughter who suffers from trigeminal neuralgia, as I also suffer from that horrible affliction. I am praying for your daughter. I rarely get attacks from this disease as long as I stay in prayer, as I also have Systemic Lupus, and was recently diagnosed with early stages of Emphysema. So I can relate to much suffering. Tell her to keep a positive attitude and always remember :it could always be alot worse and then start counting your blessings". You will soon realize that it COULD always be worse and then your suffering becomes less and also God never gives us more than we can handle, even though we don't think we can handle it, HE knows all things. I have to believe this as it keeps me going when I don't think I can.

It starts in one place (started originally in the blood I believe), goes into remission, and pops up in another place in his body. About two years ago, the cancer had spread to his brain and he had to have an operation. Of course by Western medical standards, he shouldn't even be standing here today. I don't think the doctors expected him to survive, even he survived the operation. My friend doesn't believe in God and actually makes fun of religion and mocks people who give praise to Jesus, etc. Some people would say that he doesn't even deserve the love an healing of a prayer, but I'm of course his friend, despite what he chooses to believe, and would pray for him no matter what. I prayed for him for many months but did some really STONG praying during the time that he had to go through the surgery and afterward. He survived something that should have killed him, and he has even said that the doctors were surprised he lived. Even if the person you pray for doesn't believe in prayer, pray for him/her anyway. That person needs a prayer more than anyone. Even if someone doesn't share the same religion as you, pray anyway. No matter what you choose to call your God, your Mary, your whatever, medidation and prayer all share the same goal and produce the same outcome."

[YEA] 05/29/2007: Gaye from Adelaide, Australia writes: "I had a lesion on my ovary that the specialist suspected was cancer and was booked for surgery. For months I'd had heavy menstrual bleeding every day and felt awful. One day at work I felt a heat go through my body, felt my spirits lift and (I found out later) the bleeding stopped. When I got home I said to my husband something strange had happened to me at work - and I felt great for the first time in ages. That's when he told me that he had a prayer for me said that morning in Devotion (he is a teacher at a Christian College) When the surgeon saw me after surgery he looked baffled. The lesion had gone! Your page on prayer mentioned that people who knew they were being prayed for improved. Well, I didn't know the prayer was being said - and now the lesion has completely gone. I am now a great believer in the power of prayer!"

Then started to browse the site and found the section of healing and power of prayer. I seen the power healing that was left to us through our Lord Jesus Christ. We were not meant to be a ill any day of lives. The Bible tells us to lay hands on the sick to be healed. Acv and hydrogen peroxide rules! Thankyou! I wish to relay my experience with a healing prayer I had learned of. I'll try to make it brief. Recently I had been suffering from a stomach illness. When I was on the verge of throwing up again I became angry at my predicament. I said, emphatically, I cannot remain sick! I must heal myself! I had never done this before but I felt so horrible that it was worth a shot. I began reciting this prayer Out Loud. I AM WHOLE, I AM PERFECT, I AM STRONG, I AM POWERFUL, I AM LOVING, I AM HARMONIOUS, I AM HAPPY. After 15 minutes of repeating these words, in no particular order, all my symptoms had vanished and I was left with a happy feeling. The next evening my eight year old son came down with a migraine headache. He has suffered with these for four years. I figured I would try and see if he could heal himself using the same technique I had used. With my guidance he repeated the phrases out loud. Miraculously, within 15 minutes all his symptoms disappeared and he was left with a happy feeling. This experience has truly opened me up to our power to self heal. I've come to understand that the positive power of these words can eliminate all negativity from the body. The other step in being healthy and entirely well is to also program your mind/heart to the concept of healing when you use the methods described. Holding any selfish, envious, angry or prideful thoughts effects cells and organs in ways counterproductive to health. I have worked for 30 years with people who are ill and I know this step can be overlooked in the pain , fatigue or long term suffering of a chronic illness. A benevolent feeling for the planet and all on it seems to be as crucial to success as any remedy. Best wishes to all of you.
