[YEA] Lisa from Jackson, Ms. USA writes: "I have not yet tried this but a friend shared this info with me recently:

Reading the Wheatgrass Book from Ann Wigmore, I want to share with you this incredible discovery :

----

Page 62
Chapter " ARE YOU PROTECTED FROM THE HAZARDS OF MODERN LIVING? "

"A few years ago, I ( Ann Wigmore ) asked Dr. GH Earp Thomas of the Bloomfield Laboratories in High Bridge, New Jersey, to do an experiment for me. He placed a small amount of wheatgrass juice in a jar of regular tap water and he tested it for fluoride and other chemicals present in the water...

Both of us were surprised by the results!

He concluded, "Fluorine rapidly combines with calcium phosphate and other kinetic elements to lose its toxic properties, and harden teeth and bones. that is why fresh grass would act as a catalyst to speedily change the acid fluorine into a beneficial component with a positive reaction...

By using wheatgrass, which is comparatively rich in calcium phosphate, it would remove any free fluoric acid and change its negative charge to an alkaline calcium phosphate fluoride combination with a positive reaction"

I was amazed (Ann Wigmore )

not only did wheatgrass neutralize the toxic effect of fluorine but it converted it into an ally in maintaining healthy bones and teeth! I don't recommend that you drink tap water, though; pure spring or purified water taste better and is much better for you. But if you cannot obtain spring or purified water, pour a little wheatgrass juice into regular tap water, and it will make it more healthful..."

Sue from Boston, MA writes: "Hello and thank you for this great site! I was wondering if using powdered wheatgrass (instead of the grass itself) will give as good results. I am interested in using to improve my overall skin condition. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance."

[YEA] Kim from Redondo Beach, CA writes: "I went through a wheatgrass phase a few years ago after trying a few shots at a Whole Foods juice bar. Whew! Nasty tasting stuff, but the energy buzz you get from it is amazing. I decided that it was cheaper to start making my own wheatgrass juice and bought a stainless steel wheatgrass juicer (hand cranked) from some shop somewhere... can't even remember now! Then I also bought the wheatgrass seeds (wheat berries) from Whole Foods.. very cheap. Took a couple of weeks to grow, then I was on my way to juicing. I was so into it, I even tried (ha ha) a wheatgrass enema, which I had read about online. It was intense! My grow-your-own wheatgrass phase lasted about 2 growing cycles, then I gave up on it.

P.S. Never take it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. You will pay the price!

[YEA] Rosy from Orlando, Fl writes: "Wheatgrass is also great for your pets. I know my two cats love to munch on it. It provides a great addition to there diet. I also find that they aren't as hungry when I let them have wheatgrass. I used to have to always have food in a dish or they would think they were dieing. Ya, I know it bad for them, but I don't like being Meowed to death. I got them a kit from the pet store and let them eat what they wanted of it after it grew, and all of the sudden I didn't have to go and put a couple of kibbles in the bowl to keep me sane. My female has thinned out a bit, still a fatty, but a little fatty not a huge fatty. Both of their coats have improved, so soft and silky. They are more playful, and overall feeling great. I know that most animals can eat it, but I would check online to see the amount that Rats, Hamsters, and Birds can eat. I know dogs and cats can eat it until they turn into it. The product I purchased was a growing kit that included Organic Soil, along with Organic seeds. The seeds sprout quickly, and the after the grass matures it lives for about three weeks. The kit less than $10, and I split the seeds so I have a couple of months of grass for my house heifers, as my husband calls them."

[YEA] Zeb from Clearwater, FL writes: "I wanted to make sure this was listed since in this day and age things are more available so we use this as one for our family remedies.

I use wheatgrass juice for:

1. Insomnia - must take it seconds before tucking into bed and closing your eyes, if using it in a capsuled form (powdered) then you have about 5-10 minutes before you must be in bed eyes closed beginning to sleep, the result is a deep unbroken and healthy sleep from which you wake up energized and clear headed. For some this takes up to 3-4 days.

2. Acne, my daughter had infant acne and some minor rash like effect on her back and legs, going and coming but never leaving completely. After several weeks of using 1/2 a shot this went away, my daughter likes veggies even more than before and even asks for wheatgrass juice or other veggie juices.

3. My wife had rough skin that seemed to harden into tiny little hard points and she was getting more and more self conscious about it. When we started our daughter (#2 above) on wheatgrass juice I insisted she use some to and this slowly turned this rough skin around and now its smoother than ever.

4. My wife used to take all sort of greens and get stomach aches no matter how little or what brand and when we finally tried wheatgrass juice she said she got no aches, no pains and she loved how easy it was to take and the energy she herself got.

5. Minor cuts and wounds can be cleaned out with it.

6. On farms when cows are infertile or bulls are shooting blanks they use wheatgrass juice and 80-90% of the cattle become fertile again.

A friend called me up and mentioned that my suggestion to use wheatgrass juice got her in trouble. She had one of her employees use it for about a week and that employee got pregnant. The employee said she had been trying to conceive for over a year and finally gave up and after a week on wheatgrass juice almost immediately conceived. She asked me if that could happen and I told her about the common remedy for infertile cattle.

... I could go on and I'll add more but this is what I can do for now.

Zeb (Florida)"
