banana peel wart remedy

i came back here to tell the story of how a banana peel cured my wart while nothing else could, but i was amazed to see how many people got to it before me. so instead id like to answer a question i see repeated over and over about the application of the peel.

i think its safe to say that it doesnt really matter how you apply it to the wart. so long as the banana peel gets to touch your wart at least for a few seconds. the chemicals in the peel are EXTREMELY effective against warts. (well some/most warts)

also i believe the chemicals are most potent when the banana is still very unripe. im lucky enough to have a banana tree growing right outside my door, so i cut off a banana that had another month to grow and used the inside of its tiny green peel under a bandaid. i saw a reduction in size and little "hairs" poking out in just 12 hours! compared to other people who say 1-2 days.

this just goes to show you the simplest and safest answers are given to you by nature.

After my wife had four treatments of liquid nitrogen that did nothing but multiply the colony of warts on the bottom of her foot and cause unbelievable pain, I found this suggestion on this website. With a great deal of skepticism, she tried the banana peel recommendation. She scraped the inside of a banana peel, applied it to the warts, covered the area with half of a cotton ball, and used medical tape to hold it in place. She put on an old sock and went to sleep.

It took about six months of a daily or every other day treatment to eradicate the entire colony, which covered half her foot. Some disappeared in days, some in weeks, and some in months, depending on surface area and depth. Some of those suckers were like pebbles.

Hi This is Mike,

I wanted to let y'all know that I have tried the banana peel on the wart and all the other medicines on the over the counter and on the doctors side they did not work for me. I am not saying that it didn't work, but not for me. I had to go to the doctor and actually have them remove it they had numbed my hand then burned it off that's the only way I actually was able to have it off but it feels so great having it off finally after 10 to 15 years.

It's very true. My son had warts when he was about 3, 4, or 5 years old. We read about this treatment in a Natural Remedy book for children and it got rid of his wart on his knee. So glad I remembered this and am going to use this remedy now for the big one on his palm. Yay Bannana Peels!!!

An easy way to apply the banana is to scrape the inside of the peel with a small screw-driver or something else with a blade a little wider than the wart. The scrapings can be applied as a poultice, as opposed to rubbing the banana peel directly on the wart. This made the application of the peel to the warts much more convenient for me and I was able to leave the scrapings on the wart until they dried. That said, after several weeks the cure did not seem to be working so I moved on to using white vinegar, which completely cured me in about two weeks. There are about 100 different types of warts so perhaps that explains the apparent lack of effect of the banana cure on my particular variety. I had used salicylic acid for about 4 months before trying either cure and while it removed the wart the wart kept coming back from the roots.

Hello, This is Rajalakshmi Swami from Pune, India. I read with interest your write-up on "Application tips" for plantar warts. I am having a chronic wart on the sole of my left foot, under the third toe for the past 30 years. After reading about the banana peel as a permanant cure for plantar warts, I have been applying the peel for the past two months but there is only 10% effect. As you have said, the banana peel does not seem to work for all plantar warts. Then I read youre feedback on this and became interested in trying out white vinegar application. I have a few questions to ask you:

1. What should be the exact concentration of the white vinegar? (The one that i found in the local market is 3.75 ml. of acetic acid in 100 ml water.
2. I found the non-fruit white vinegar. Will this do?
3. When should it be applied?

I would very much appreciate an urgent reply.

Jack,

I must make a comment on your application tip. If you think it doesn't matter how it is applied, then why didn't it work for you? I have been seeing mine reduce in size every night that I remember to put a piece of peel on my wart. Sorry it didn't work for you but you didn't do it right.

Please don't give advise when you didn't get a good response, that doesn't help anyone. We have been cutting a bit of a very ripe banana and keeping it on with a bandaid. We have only done it over night because it is too hard to do during the day. It is working!

Thanks

Yes, there are many kinds of warts which is why some treatments work and some don't. My warts came back after the banana peel treatment. After two years the only thing that worked for me was bleach. It sounds awful, but a q-tip dipped in bleach and applied morning and night just to the wart, was the only thing that helped. Just let the bleach dry and you don't even need a band aid. The bleach didn't hurt or redden my foot. Remember, bleach is what they use in showers and at swimming pools to keep people from getting warts. So why wouldn't it work to make them go away? It may not be "natural", but it works.

Check this success story that I got off of the web

I CANNOT believe this actually works. But it does! I'd tried everything, including having my doctor cryo my wart off, but instead it just got bigger. To the point where my tiny plantar wart on my heel/instep had become a massive almost quarter sized beast.

Here's my recipe for success. I did this every night after I got home from work:

Take a bucket or large mixing bowl, fill with water as hot as you can stand it (I'd run it as hot as it can go). Take a measuring cup or eyeball to add two cups of AC Vinegar. Soak your foot for an hour. I'd sit on the end of my bed and watch the TV for an hour.

Wash your foot. Take a cotton ball or folded up piece of toilet tissue, soak in vinegar. Put on top of the wart, then duct tape it to your foot. Cover over with a sock. Go to sleep.

The next time you go to repeat this process, before you soak your foot, take a nail file (emery board) and file off the dead wart. You'll it's dead because the sucker will turn black. The vinegar is eating the wart and pushing it out of the foot, and you're basically filing the dead wart off.

It took about four days for me to feel any kind of discomfort, but, it will hurt to the point of tears after you start to get down to the root of the wart when sleeping with the vinegar taped to your foot. Try taking an aspirin before you soak your foot so that you're comfortably numb by the time the pain hits.

Despite the pain, I did not skip a day. I filed the wart even when it hurt. Exactly one week and a half to the day, my wart "fell off". I was filing it, and it started to chunk off revealing red skin underneath. Underneath the wart had turned white, and the middle didn't have any black skin left. I took a pair of nail clippers and just clipped it right off revealing pink, non-wart skin! I'm wart free for the first time in my life! And all it took was a few gallons of vinegar.

I find it so interesting that a banana peel can cure plantar warts! This could be some indication of potassium deficiency I suppose.

I didn't try this when I figured out how to get rid of plantar wart that I struggled with for 2 years prior to having any success, but somewhat natural methods worked for me as well. I covered the verrucas in duct tape every day, soaked it in epsom salt water each day and eventually used salicylic acid pads and got rid of it in a matter of weeks.

Good luck! -Rob

Very effective cure against footcorn

I had a very unpleasant adorn/clavus/corn on my foot, which for a long time did that I almost could not walk. Bought Verrumal from the pharmacist - it did not work. Searched online and found "Banana Peel-cure". Thought at first it was a joke, but after two weeks the clavus disappeared Price: $ 0.00!

My husband had a dark brown wart above his eyebrow and partially in it. It was ugly. He taped the banana peel on it everyday. Finally it crusted up, came off, and did not return. What I like is that is no scar and no loss of hair.

I've had warts in the same location since I was a teenager. They usually go with nitrogen but not this time. I finally underwent laser surgery (it HURTS), but it came back.

I read about using banana peels and how it creates an autoimmune response. I realised that I haven't had a 'fever' for some time which supposedly helps some people (and cancer).

Keeping in mind that I've been battling this for over a year - I started using the banana peel treatment 2 days ago. I took a small piece, stuck it over the wart and covered it with a bandage tape.

It has worked really well - the first morning after, parts of the wart turned black along with tiny bits in the area. after the second day, the small bits have fallen off and there is a 'dent' where the main wart is. Part of it has fallen off and the bit left over is black (which some websites have indicated as the wart dying).

Will be doing it again tonight - but so far am really happy and wish I tried this sooner!

I had a big wart on my hand and I hated it. I didn't like when people saw it. I heard about the banana peel remedy... and it actually worked! What I did Is... get a banana, eat it, then I cut some of the peel. I taped it to my wart overnight. Kept it on all night. I did this for 2 weeks. And I still had it after 14 days, but overtime once I stopped.. It was all gone. I am currently using banana peels for my acne. Idk if it's working Yet. but the wart it'll get rid of it, try it!

Hey Damian,

Best thing I've found to get rid of acne is a new pillowcase each night. Basically, acne is caused by bacteria, putting your face into a dirty pillowcase is like putting your face into a petri dish. James

Great tip. I've had cystic acne for the past 10 years with little relief. So many doctors, regiments, prescriptions, I exercise and eat well. Not to mention I change pillow cases, towels, wash sheets and shirts or anything that touches my face. That fact is that my acne was and still caused my a hormone imbalance. My body produces too much testosterone and difficult acne is one side effect of that. Honestly, the best thing I've found is not a commercial face wash but simply baking soda. It's going to naturally exfoliate your skin and dry your pores. I would finish by dabbing A/C vinegar afterwards. I ended up switching to a gluten free moisturizer a few months ago and my breakouts lessened even more. Hope I was able to help.

After reading the comments, I can see that for those that had any effect, I think they used a "homegrown" banana. So if you buy an ecological one, then it might help better. I just tried it myself and I could see the effect after just a couple minutes. it turned brighter in color and I felt a tingling sensation in the wart. but I did hold the banana peel on the wart for at least 2 minutes. This is safe to try at home. :)

The banana peel is excellent for wart.. I had 2 plantars wart on my feets and a wart on my finger... After one week I was amazed black dots had been drawn out of the wart. I continued with this method for about a month they seemed better and then finished the treatment off. After 3 months they completely disappeared!

I want to thank God for Helping me to find this site and thanks all of you.

I think the banana peel is excellent for drawing the black dots out of the plantars wart. It seems to work like a poutice. My 9 year old daughter had the plantars wart frozen at the doctors surgery at least 5 times to no avail. I also spent $30 on the over the counter freezing method and that was a waste of time and money. I decided to do some research of my own and quickly found this website. We diligently applied the small squares of banana peel to the wart at bed time covered with a bandaid and a sock. After the the first night I was amazed the next morning when I saw how much of the black had been drawn out of the wart. I continued with this method for about a month and then finished the treatment off with some compound W. We are very pleased to say the wart has gone. The banana peel was amazing, but I do think the compound W is required at the end.

Warts cured with banana peel: I was skeptical about the banana peel as a patch to my wart on right foot. Just had a liquid nitrogen freeze method, and boy that was PAINFUL!! My doctor said we need to repeat atleast 2 more times and he was still not hopeful that it will be gone. I was unable to even walk properly before and after the freezing process. It took 3 days after the freezing, for me to walk properly. So could not imagine the thought of doing this 2 more times of the same.Read this banana peel and thot, what do i lose? It aint any chemical that might affect me adversely, its a simple banana peel!, so went home and applied a small piece of peel, and put a tape across it and slept. Did not feel much differnce in first two days, but i still continued for a week, boy that was magical, my pain was almost gone and i was able to run on treadmill normally. Encouraged by results i did for another 10 days and the wart is gone including the mark! Now sometimes i have tough time finding if it was right or left foot! lol. Thanks to the banana peel advice, it works very goood.

I discovered 3 little warts on the knee of my 7 year old son a few weeks ago. I checked on Earth Clinic and found the wart remedy. A few weeks later and the warts are gone. My son is delighted and I would definitely recommend this for anyone with warts. Simple and painless. Thank you EC

EC: You didn't say, so we're guessing you tried the popular banana peel remedy for warts. Please let us know if you tried something else!

Banana peel for warts: I normally don't leave feedback, but felt I had to on this subject. I was recently looking for an alternative way to get rid of a wart on my daughter's foot. She had a plantar wart last year on her heel. Went to the doctor and did the freeze off method, by the way, she did not like that at all!!! It was very painful for her. So now this year there is one coming on her big toe. So I came across this website and read the reviews for the banana peel for warts. While reading I'm thinking to myself that this is crazy!!
So I gave it try, why not anything is better than the freeze off thing. It has now been 3 days and the wart is going away, it's shrinking!!!!!

I clean her toe right before bed then take a piece of the banana peel and rub it on the wart until well coated. Then cut another very small piece off and put it on her toe with a bandaid around it overnight. In the morning take the bandaid off clean the toe off. I do this everynight before bed. Now on day 3 and everything is looking great. The wart is flat and the inside is drying up.

Thank you for this website and all the other reviews!! My daughter is very thankful!!
We joke with her now and call her banana toe!! ha ha ha

Banana peels for planter warts works. It worked on my 12 year old grand son after about eight days of rubbing banana peel on nightly. My daugher cancelled his dermatologist appoinment. When she tried to explain the cure to the doctors office they hung up!
