Hi everyone, Doctors aren't of great help and I feel a kind of pain over my left diaphragm and in my back. When I wake up in the morning, my tongue is coated with white thing ( Candida probably), and when I eat a food the white coat goes away and then comes back. I put oregano oil directly on my tongue and I saw in the mirror the white spot loosing its form ( Candida dying??). I started with hydrogen peroxide but sometimes I vomit. I don't know if there is a solution to this side effect. Also sometimes I do experience heart palpitations and I don't know if this is due to Candida or something else. I realized before that when I used to eat the jelly pudding, I felt that somethings is squeezing inside my esophagus and stomach. Could that be Candida or somethings else? Thank you very much and God bless you.

Could be candida. I have candida, and I have similar pain in my left diaphram and back. It is from gas/bloating, and also having so much tension in the area over years. You may wish to go see a doctor or naturopath about the vomiting and palpitations. You may also want to do an endoscopy. Thanks for the tip about the oregano oil. Good luck

Hi, I just wonder which medication did you take or supplement to deal with your candida? I have all those symptoms and my doctor doesn't believe me for Candida. I have a coated tongue in the morning. I wonder if there is a test to see what is this white coating in the tongue?
Thank you very much.

I have read that a simple test for candida is as follows: First thing in the morning, before brushing teeth or drinking anything, spit into a cup of water. Allow it to sit a while. If the spittle remains floating on top of the water, you do NOT have candida. If it gets "stringy legs" going down into the water, you DO have candida. When I have had candida symptoms, this test has proven true. Also, I have read that if you have a white coated tongue, you have candida. Period.

The candida diet is the most important thing you can do. (no sugar, yeast at all in any foods; no fruit or juices). I have been on the candida diet for 61 days now and have seen much improvement. I'm almost through all of the symptoms. Of great importance for me was undecylenic acid, caprylic acid and a good multi and probiotics. The undecylenic acid was the most critical element; detox can be tough at times, but use hot teas and epsom salt baths. You will feel better!

Its true so no more SUGAR because it's the most important of the avoidance foods to limit in your diet as it directly increases the amount of Candida in your body when it is consumed. There is no way around this one, if you choose to continue to eat sugar on a regular basis you will continue to develop Candida in your body. This includes not just the obvious forms of sugar but also white flour and breads which convert to sugar in the body. Fruits unfortunately need to be removed too, however when you are finally healed from candida cures tips I strongly recommend you get back to eating fruits regularly again. As well as the YEAST because consuming more yeast in your diet when you suffer from Candida will directly encourage Candida growth. This is arguably due to the fact that some believe Candida is capable of assimilating other yeasts and using them to further develop Candida growth.

I have Candida but my symptoms are a little different. My eyesight is getting worse and my eyes are sensitive to light, I have this woozy feeling in my brain causing me to have vertigo, forgetfulness, and a limited vocabulary. For some reason I can't seem to remember the names of things. Like I'm trying to explain something and I completely blank out and can't find the word I'm looking for.. I've developed an allergy to dairy and I believe it has to do with it causing mucus. I had tingling feelings in my toes, I started getting yeast infections once a month (they have since stopped). Heart palpitations, feeling drunk, not coordinated, anxiety (never had it before), toe fungus, constipation.. I think there's more but I believe I'm forgetting a few symptoms (damn candida).. I went to my doctor and they found nothing, I went to the neurologist had my brain scanned and they found nothing, went to the ENT and same thing... NOTHING!

So I started doing my own research. I googled My brain feels woozy.. And I found some forums where people were talking about vitamin deficiencies.. So I started researching vitamin deficiencies... I found that I lacked magnesium, D and B-12. So I went to the store and bought them on my lunch break. Took them and OMG I felt a shift in my brain. Very weird. Everything seemed to look very clear. And I had more clarity to my thoughts. I have started doing many different things. I took dairy out of my diet. Eating way more fibrous vegetables, Lots more fruit (candida friendly). Started with Ted's Lime bicarbonate (not so sure its working). Taking Selenium, Probiotics, Oil of Oregano, magnesium, garlic and I just ordered Grapefruit Seed Extract.

Dear Julie, You are absolutely right about brain fogs related to the deficiency. The main cause of B12 deficiency is a damaged intestinal mucosa. The damaged mucosa could be attributed to many thing but the parasites are the big problem. The parasite infection leads to Candida. And I read so many people who suffered from white tongue that their tongue became normal once the parasite was gone. So you should test for a parasite infection. Best regards, Jean

You can't know the relief that I felt knowing that I found someone like myself. I don't know how long I've had candida, but seeing as how it can occur when hormones change, it could be that I've had it for 7 years. I was put on birth control when I was younger to regulate my hormones, but it seems to have caused more damage rather than having fixed anything.

My symptoms are as follows: I became constipated. And I don't mean occasionally, or having a few less BM, at my worst I had a single BM every 2 weeks. My memory started to falter. Being a person who has photographic memory, this was incredibly evident. My joints ached. I had been very athletic and suddenly I found myself moving slower and struggling to keep up with my fellow athlethes, where I had previously had been on varsity. My skin changed. I have olive skin, but over the years, my skin lightened, and rather than getting a nice tan when I was outside, I began to develope splotches. My eyesight, seemingly overnight, got worse and all of the sudden each eye doctor says that I must have pre-mature glaucoma because the pressure in my eyes is very high. I have a white coated tongue. At one point in time I fell incredibly ill and the symptoms that worried me most were the constant sulfuric burps.

Now what may be a little shocking to all of you, is that I'm just 20. I never had any say what we ate because we ate what my father could afford, but I think that may be one of the main contributors. I want to get rid of whatever it is I have. I hate feeling this way, and if I knew that I had had some sort of infestation I would have done whatever means necessary to cure it. I love this website and I will begin treatment immediately, however I have a concern. I have receieved the wonderful news that I'm pregnant with my first child. What treatments can I do while I'm pregnant? Please, help from anyone would be great and very much appreciated.

Hi, I don't normally post to bulletin boards but I've cured my condition and want to share what I did. The symptoms I had were dry mouth with a rough surface, white and yellow coating, little red spots, and a deep split in the middle. Also tiredness and brain fog. Worst of all constant bad breath. I had this for years and would brush often and chew gum but it didn't help.

First, here are the things that didn't work when I tried them individually: drinking lots of water, stopped caffeine, stopped social smoking, stopped social alcohol drinking, gargling with mouthwashes(hydrogen peroxide made it worse), consuming apple cider vinegar, taking herbs(fang feng tong shen wan), eating more veggies, brushing w/baking soda, selecting food/drinks based on pH, stopped using steroid nasal spray.

In the end, I feel one key practice did it: use tongue scraper w/hard edge(but not too hard) then mix few drops of oil of oregano and grape seed extract in 1 cup hot water. Swirl mouthful for 30 sec and swallow. It will be bitter but repeat as often as you can, all day if possible. I saw results after 1 week and by 2nd week my tongue was red again and moist and slippery. It was a feeling I had almost forgotten. The split is not gone but getting smaller all the time.

Here are some additional things that I did in conjunction that may or may not have helped: reduced usage of steroid nasal spray (instead rinsed nose with water and little sea salt daily), stopped all caffeine and soda(even diet), drank only hot or warm water, took supplements milk thistle, coconut oil, multivitamin, and royal jelly.

I'm so much happier now! Thanks to everyone who posted on this problem and good luck!

This message is for Ted.

How does someone get tested for Candida. My son has psoriasis, has had it for the last two years. He has been able to keep it under control by making a vegetable drink and also trying to keep a healthy diet. Has been clear all winter but now getting some spots appearing.

I have been reading so many posts on EC about candida infections that I found it very curious no one has posted the simple spit test to find out if you actually HAVE an overgrowth of candida. My journey into natural cures began about 3 years ago when I was given a book about natural cures that they don't want you to know about. Many of you know the book I'm talking about. I read it cover to cover as suggested in the book itself and my eyes were opened to the deception and brainwashing I have been exposed to for years. Big pharma is not the answer to a huge majority of what we call medical problems. It's mainly the problem to additional problems.

I read about how antibiotics can lead to a full blown candida overgrowth that gradually works its way up your body and even into your lungs causing asthma. Needless to say, a light bulb went on! I realized that all the prescription drugs were NOT HELPING! I knew when I took Albuteral it was making my lungs weaker. Then add Advair and steroids, my health got worse by the week. I did a the candida spit test and it revealed that I had a very bad case of it. That's when I bought a candida detox that is at health food stores and on the internet. After completing it my asthma was gone! Gone! I was breathing free and easy! No more gasping for air in the middle of the night! That was more than 2 years ago.

So this is the spit test - When you get up in the morning you simply spit in a clear glass of water (like an 8 oz glass), as much spit as you can spit into it. The glass should be clear and glass, not plastic. Don't eat or drink anything before the test, it must be the first spit of the day. Then simply wait about 2 minutes and look at the glass. If you see a lot of stringy things hanging down into the glass that indicates a candida overgrowth. My glass was shocking, tons of stuff hanging down. When I tested recently I had nothing hanging down at all. If you want to get rid of candida, first make sure that's what the problem is, it's just so easy! I would be glad to answer any questions anyone has about this. Getting rid of terrible asthma has truly changed my life and I take NO prescription drugs today. NONE! Please try the spit test and post your results, I'd love to hear about it! Thanks!

Candida Test

I have recently stumbled upon a very useful questionnaire and tool that Dr William G Crook -- who wrote The Yeast Connection -- used to more accurately diagnose whether any of his patients had candida or not. With his permission, his questionnaire has been put up on this site:

http://web.archive.org/web/20030808181409/http://www.howdyneighbor.com/jbayliss/crook.htm

Time and again on EC I have read posts from desperate people who know perfectly well that there is something very wrong with them. And when they go through all the docotor's tests, the doctors tell them there is nothing wrong with their bodies. Some believe that they might have candida but have no confirmation from doctors. Other's call it a mysterious illness because they don't know what the problem is and ask desperately for some help. Candida is a very dangerous disease due to its robustness and due to its associations with so many other diseases and conditions in the body.

I have said often that modern medical research really doesn't have a good reputation in properly being able to diagnose early or even late stage systemic candida problems.

William Crook's questionnaire is about 4 pages long and works from a point scoring system. Dr Orian Truss also included a questionnaire in his book -- Candida: The Missing Diagnosis. Truss's questionnaire was 11 pages. This just illustrates just how difficult it is to accurately diagnose candida, because it always seems to be associated with a host of other allergic, bacterial, viral and parasitic diseases.

For those who are unsure of their current condition or those who honestly suspect candida, taking the questionnaire should help to give you a clear answer.

I have been on a Candida Diet for about 6 months, definitely with some improvements. However, just couldn't get rid of this recurring yeast infections. After further research I kept on hearing about capryllic acid, and what a powerful anti-fungal it is. What I didn't know is that you have to slowly build up the quantity (the lady in the store suggested 3 in the morning, and 3 in the afternoon). Long story short, 7 days later I had a Herxheimer reaction, also known as a die-off reaction. Mine was pretty crazy though, very scary especially if you don't know what the heck is going on and have no one to talk to about. For about a week prior I noticed red, hot burning checks, especially after I came out of the shower. Then my cheeks started becoming really dry and started slightly peeling. As mentioned, 7 days later, I woke up with extremely itchy palms in my hand and feed. Within hours the itchiness spread throughout my entire body. Something was obviously in my blood stream. It was a weekend so I went to Urgent Care as I started noticing really huge hives showing up. I was told to take Benadryl, which somewhat helped. I broke out in hives and rashes for the next two days. On day 2 and 3 both my eyelids were swollen. The doctor simply called it allergic reaction and prescribed steroids. Somebody told me to go and get hydro colon therapy for 3 consecutive days. I had my second one today. Most of my rashes, hives and itchiness are almost gone. And my eyelids are almost back to normal. In retrospect I found a lot of online information how capryllic acid can cause a herxheimer reaction, which is why you need to slowly build up the potency over a couple weeks. I'm so glad I didn't take the steroids. Well, hopefully I rid my body of the candida by now :-)"

When searching to overcome ANY health problem, please don't neglect to consider msg and free glutamate. I fought candida, heart palpitations, fatigue, muscle symptoms, fibromyalgia, headaches, neck pain, foggy thinking, stomach problems, trouble swallowing, and so much more for a great number of years.

I believe in limiting carb intake and eating only complex carbs, along with fresh healthy vegetables and protein. I believe in exercise and stress reduction and prayer or meditation. But the thing that finally took away the remainder of my symptoms was to eliminate msg and free glutamates from my diet. Also aspartame! These are excitotoxins which do great damage to your body!!!

The most helpful information that I have found are on the websites msgtruth.com msgmyth.com nomsg.com and dogtorj.com. Also, glutathionediseasecure.com.

Caprylic Acid

About 10 years ago now I was having regular, severe bouts of vaginal yeast infections, seeming to coincide with my cycle. Then I began experiencing numbness and tingling, first in my hands and feet, then my lips and tongue, then pretty much everywhere! Doctors had no answers for me and any "solution" they suggested would have been worse than my condition. One day I was in a health food store, and noticed that the symptoms for systemic candida were identical to what I had been experiencing. The book also said that caprylic acid killed yeast, so I bought some right away and the yeast infections stopped and the numbness and tingling went away gradually. However, I didn't take probiotics at first, and I did have some reoccurence of symptoms when I couldn't get caprylic acid, so I began taking an enteric-coated probiotic blend (which ensured that it maked it through the stomach acid to where it was needed in my lower tract). Caprylic acid has a rather nasty burp aftertaste (a little food to chase it down helps) so I much prefer the probiotics and have been symptom-free for many years now.

I read about Coconut oil on this site and went to my local health store to ask if they had any. They said no, but they suggested I take caprylic acid, which is in coconut oil and helps cure yeast overgrowth. I purchased it to help cure my athlete's foot and stomach discomfort.

I purchased it and I took one 350MG tablet daily as per directions. It did not cure my athlete's foot like I wanted, but I felt less hungry, less tired, and my stomach felt better. I also lost weight without serious effort. I've been taking it for two months now.

Warning: I experienced two things while taking this: stomach discomfort and a slightly yeasty odor coming from my body for a week or two.

The yeasty smell rubbed off on my washcloth and towels. I discovered by accident that putting a capful of hydrogen peroxide (the regular kind from the pharmacy, not the food grade kind) in my bathwater stopped this. It stopped me from emitting the yeasty smell and from transferring it to my wash cloth and towels.

My local Walmart carries organic virgin coconut oil 16 oz. I prefer this over expeller pressed coconut oil. It has a different tast. So cold process or virgin does taste better. I use it in my teas. I cook my eggs with it. I use it in my hair as a conditioner. I have even used it up my nose for the sinus issues candida cause. I put some each nostril and lay down with a warm compress on my eyes. If you were congested you will get up and blow your nose and it feels great.

I have friends who have exemia and most of them said it is gone in 3 days.
I just tried the collidioal silver tonight in a nazal spray bottle. What a wonder full relieve not only 2 hours later, the 4 day headache is gone. Still have pressure by no where like before. Thanks

Caprylic acid has also worked for me. I was just on flucozanole for one month and didn't get better. I started back on caprylic acid capsules last night and today I have die-off, so I know that it is working. I also take oregano oil capsules with it--the double whammy. As for colloidal silver, I saw a man who took that and his skin turned silver and it will NOT go back to it's regular color. Stay away from that stuff!

Caprylic acid is a good cure for candida and it is completely harmless, being a C8 acid extracted from coconuts. It is readily available as a tablet. I am not certain if it affects people allergic to coconuts.

After suffering from all of the above for four long years: no sleep (coughed all night long), had to eat standing up (small meals only), coughing up thick, gooey yellow phlegm, could not laugh ( would go into coughing spasms), used my inhaler 6 to 10 times every single day for 4 yrs (doctors diagnosed me with asthma even though I told them my lungs were filling up with fungus and the endoscopies proved me right... who gets Asthma in their mid fifties) and an intense craving of anything sweet that just magnified my problems!!!

I found a remedy that worked for me. I have not had any symptoms since Christmas Eve including the "asthma". I sleep every night, I no longer have a chronic wet cough, no more acid reflux/hiatal hernia. I have not used my inhaler once in 25 days.

I suffered so much for so many years I actually thought death would be a relief. For those of you going through the same problems you will understand.

My doctor had me on every antibiotic available for 2 yrs straight ( I am organic so that was a huge pill to swallow).

I tried naturopaths and herbalists all to no avail.

i decided to try 2 things that have multiple remedies: cat's claw (I used the Organika brand, 3 capsules 4 times a day on an empty stomach which is 1 hr before meals/drinks or 2 hrs after) and liquid zeolite. I used a local brand that is not sold on the net, 1 drop 3 times a day (1/2 hr. before the cat's claw) on an empty stomach especially at bed time as it makes you sleep). Increase by one drop every day until you reach 10 drops three times per day.

i had the most severe die off you can possibly imagine. I never left my bedroom for 2 days, spent a third day on the couch. Coughed up every bit of fungus in my system including my lungs. Ate only 5 oranges in 1 wk (no appetite) and lost 7 lbs. I have "never" been so sick in my entire life. My husband has never seen me lay around in our entire marriage. For me the severe die off lasted 3 days but I did not start eating until a week later. I did not feel normal for almost 3 wks but now there is no coughing, no hernia, a little bit phlegm and no inhaler...wow! From hoping to die to enjoying being alive in less than 4 wks.

if this helps even one person as it did me I would be so happy!

I tried so many things to overcome my candida infection but the single most effective thing I tried was drinking a few dashes of cayenne pepper powder in a beverage. Vitamin and probiotic supplementation also helped some. It relieved my depression/fog, fatigue, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, yeasty body odor, itching, allergies, anxiety, high blood pressure, "blurred" vision, generalized muscle pain and spasms.

I suffered from candidiasis after I had had 4 days of iv antibiotics (in hospital) for a bowel infection - and then, while my intestines were quite vulnerable (flora imbalance), I ate a mouldy pancake (unknowingly of course). Huge, itchy red welts spread over my body withins days. I even had white fungus growth in my ear canals (my ENT specialist showed me on his video screen). I tried most of the remedies on this site with some success (oregano oil, bicarb in drinking water, kefir and h2o2 etc). With each remedy that I tried, I got better but found it was true that I had to make sure I was trying new anti-fungals and alkalining remedies to keep on top of the infection (apparently, it mutates very quickly). It wasn't until I drank Chamomile tea that all my symptoms finally disappeared.

I had 3 cups of hot and v strong chamomile tea within a couple of hours (I used tea bags, although I imagine loose leaf would have been better). It gave me a big headache but I kept it up with at least 2 cups per day, for the next week.

I have been free of candidiasis for 2 years now and feel that the combination of exercise, healthy eating (alkalising foods), rotating anti-fungals and especially chamomile tea helped me enormously.

Would love to know more about this. At night mostly, I mostly have a very dry mouth. Doesn't matter how much I drink, always dry at night. At work my eyes are dry and my lips seem dry, but because I talk all day on phones, I can only sip or drink on breaks. There are times when my tongue actually sticks to my mouth when that dry. Awfull. Wondering if this is a something I need to worry about. I do have Systemic Candidiasis. So I am apt to have a whole lot of syndromes. Hoping this is not one to add to the list. RE: Dry Mouth. Are you on medical drugs? Toxins often make your mouth dry. Pesticides on plants, herbs, etc. also can cause dry mouth. Ny dry mouth goes away when I stop taking food or herbs that cause dry mouth. (I don't take "meds," since many are too toxic.

For DRY EYES, I juice about half a small onion with other vegetables, which makes my eyes quite moist. (Recall how you tear easily when peeling onions?) Also, for dry mouth, I eat mung beans SPROUTS. It naturally cleans my eyes and makes it moist. This might work for dry mouth. too.

Clogged Ears

Posted by Amy (U.S.) on 02/01/2015

I am back here to earth clinic to ask for help. About a month ago, I read the information about candida (so much information and somewhat overwhelming). Anyway I have adopted the diet - have cut out all grain and sugar, little carbs and started a few of the supplements recommended. I do feel better and will be continuing with this, but am having a hard time with my ears being blocked and affecting my hearing and balance. Why does it seem like I had less blocked ears on my former poor diet than on improved diet? I think I have a long standing bacterial/viral/fungal/biofilm in my ears? Many years ago I would use the foam earplugs at night and unfortunately, not knowing any better then, I kept reusing the same ones and may have introduced fungus from them being dirty. Can I get to the problem in the inner ear somehow? I am afraid to put anything in my ears until I get some good information on what to do. The inside of my ear canal feels very sticky most of the time.

I have also cut out fruit from my diet. Can you have any at all like berries or apples?

I would also like to pass along something I found on internet search for constipation that has so far made a big difference for the better for me. I use 1 tablespoon slippery elm powder and 1 tablespoon psyllium powder mixed with a cup of water and drink immediately. Then I drink 2 more cups of water after that and try to drink extra water during the day. There is a youtube video for this if I can find it again I can give the link. Hope this can help someone as it is helping me. Good health to all.

HI U AMY, , , , , , , , , I too have candida and in my ears. Probably no one has responded because candida is a long lifetime chore and no one has an instant solution. For the long term ..... follow Ted and Bill's protocol. For the short term I spray my ears with Dr Tichenor's Antiseptic.

https://www.drtichenor.com/about/history

It has been used in the South since the Civil War. It is essentially grain alcohol and peppermint, but don't sell it short. All these posts on Jocky itch etc., have to take a back seat to this brew. It cures lots of stuff. Yep, it burns.

I fuss at folks for making demands, but your plea broke my heart. You were not being ignored by the EC folks, but Candida is TOUGH CITY , and there is no easy solution.

Dr Tichenor's is hard to find anymore. It can be found on the internet.

Wish you well ......======ORH========

thank you ORH. I appreciate your kind reply!

I looked up your recommendation on amazon. Is it the mouthwash antiseptic you are refering to? Do you dilute it to spray in your ears? Wish you well in your battle with candida. I have to wonder if mine is fungal form now. I fear losing my hearing and I am not 60 yet. I will try anything to save it and am determined to win!

Hi Amy...It is a fact of life that whenever you take any good anti-candida protocol -- initially you will always feel awful(to some degree) before you feel better. These are called Herx reactions and will vary from person to person. This Herx reaction is unavoidable because whenever you kill huge numbers of candida then various poisons are always released directly into the blood. This causes stress on the liver to get rid of them -- hence you fell awful.

Similarly, heavy metal build-up is also involved in candida issues. So when you detox, then you will similarly get heavy metals dumped into the blood -- with consequent further stress on your liver to get rid of it and the result is the same -- you feel awful. There can be many other symptoms arising from both the Herx and detox effects -- too numerous to mention -- but these should all subside and disappear as you successfully get rid of the candida and heavy metals from your body in time.

Hi Robert Henry...Interesting what you say about Tichenor's Antiseptic -- for sure peppermint is a strong anti-fungal and should work well against the candida.

The remedies I have used for ear problems involve either using drops of Lugol's iodine and water or just using plain store-bought 1% hydrogen peroxide on its own. I simply use a dropper and fill up the ear carefully. Then I would hold it there for a minute or two in my ear. These remedies are pain-free but the HP will tickle like crazy because of the bubbling(proof positive that it is killing the bad stuff in your ears). With both these remedies, I would then empty out my ears and that's it. I do not wash my ears out -- I leave it there to continue its good work.

When I had serious candida issues some while ago, I also had awful wax build-up problems in my ears. Have to admit that this problem must have also had something to do with my systemic candida problems too. The ear wax itself also smelled awful and loads of it. I used the above simple remedies to clear them out for good(including the wax). Now I never have anymore smelly wax build-up in my ears and my ears are clear of fungus.

HI U AMY, , , , , , , I do not dilute Dr. Tichnor's but only spray it in my ears.

Guess you saw Bill's post to you and it is probably the way to go. ====ORH=====

Hi Amy,

I had my ears clogged and nose stuffed and sinus were hurting and my hearing went down.I used 4 drops of Lugol Iodine in filtered water and rinsed my nose with special nasal bottle. For my ears, I dipped the Q tip in Lugol/iodine(the same solution I used for the nose) water and kept it for a few hours every day in my ears.It helped me greatly. Along with this I am doing Bill Thompson's Candida protocol. Blessings

Cloves for Candida: I have had very good results by adding a lot of ground cloves (spice) to my beverages and foods. While many other things also help candida, (biotic silver, probiotics, etc. ) I haven't seen too much information re cloves, so I thought I would share this. Cloves help to kill any parasite eggs within the body, also making them helpful in this regard as well.
