Hi, I'm in Accra. I purchased my black strap molasses at Dansoman. Look out for the shell filling station after the Dansoman Police station, there is a health shop just in front of the fuel station that sells some. it cost Ghc 12.
You can also try the Relish health shop at Osu, Accra inside Akai House. Ask for where the old American Embassy used to be.

For those in Australia that are looking for it, try Pure Label Molasses, bought in one of those oversized supermarket corporations. Packed for Conga foods. Says it does not have any sulphate which is in everything. They say on the label that it is Black Strap Molasses. The only ingredient on the bottle is Molasses. I thought it was an American thing, but it seems its universal. Bought a 550 gram jar for a few dollars.

Hi, I've been reading all the feedback regarding blackstrap molasses and all the benefits it has after consuming everyday. It got me really excited so the minute i got the chance i went out to buy some but was really disappointed when i could not find it. I've tried the health food store and the supermarket but they did not have any, they didn't even know what i was talking about. Lana from Cragieburn, Australia- You can find molasses, really you can! Go to Woolworths- in the section where you can buy honey/spreads/jams. Look for Pure Label, but there could be another brand as well. If you do not find it, go to the health food section of Woolworths or even Coles and look for it there. I buy my molasses at either shop and have had not problem. As a last resort, ask the manager at either shop if they can get it in for you- usually they are very helpful.

I bought mine recently both at Woolworths & local Health Food shop (15/08/2015). Woolworths has the Capilano Brand Pure & Natural, on the same shelf as Treacle next to the baking items.
Health food store you can buy The Melrose Brand (Organic) in jar or store brand in 1kg tub.
It is very popular may be that's why you have trouble finding it, when you do buy a few jars It keeps very well in the pantry.
I drink 2/3 tablespoon a day in either tea, coffee or just water (hot water in winter, iced water in summer).
I grew up on the stuff and never new the health benefit of it until 2 months ago while watching a gardening show on TV.
As a child I can not remember seeing a doctor. I hate medicine of any sort, I am now 70 years the only medicine I take is cardiprin to thin the blood. Thanks to good old fashion remedies, thanks mum.

OK. If I am not mistaken blackstrap molasse is a black kind of sugar made from sugar cane or beet, right? It has a strong smell and is very dark, almost black which is why it is called blackstrap molasse. If this is what you're talking about it is called "melasse noire" and can probably be found in a "epicerie Antillaise" (grocery store from Guadeloupe/Martinique) or any store that sells exotic products.

I had surgery on 2008 to remove multiple fibroids but it came back so fast and this time, I want to avoid surgery. I am currently taking BSM and in less than 2 weeks, I have put on so much weight around my mid section. I intended to stop it then I read on site that the 100g per serving which is the one I am taking is overly processed so I will stop it immediately and look for the 600g per serving. I don't know where to find this in ghana but I will try very hard to get one. I am also confused as to whether I should get BST or ordinary molasses. please help me out. in any case, I will try the 600g per serving and post my experience as well. thank you so much and God bless you.

this is for vineet,who is looking for BSM like me in Hong kong which I hv found at Taste/Park N Shop hopewell cetre in wanchai, but it's the sulphured one RAYNER's crude black strap molasses around $12+ for 340g near those maple syrup items. just found it this week.
