Hi All, I take apple cider vinegar 4 drops with tsp honey bit of warm water to stir then add cold and knock it back only once a day it has helped my bad back no end but why would anyone want to take their concoctions more than once a day - anything that is taken too much is not good for you.

I also take quarter tsp of Bicarbonate of soda in half a glass of water for my heartburn when it comes on which is about once a week now whereas before I lived on rennies - then the doctor put me on some sort of antacid tablets that had side effects like putting on weight. So I stick to carrying my bicarbonate of soda in an old tablet bottle.

Re CANDIDA - I got rid of mine that I had had for years on and off with the following:

2 -3 half capfuls of Aloe vera (cranberry flavour) juice (this is like a weed killer for yeast) 1 -2 acidophulus tablets (10 million per capsule) as the 4 Billion suggested capsule gave me a temperature. I gave up all sugars, all yeasts incl alcohol except Apple cider vinegar, and gave up mushrooms as suggested in the candida book - this I did (and noted on paper each day my headaches etc) I did this for 3 months suggested and all my ailments went away now I keep aloe vera in the fridge for when I need it (opened it only lasts a month) and always keep taking my acidophulus tablets 1 or 2 a day - they are the good bacteria that is suppossed to be found in Actimal and Yogurts and Yacult except that the later 3 things have sugar in them and make you fat hence contarindications.

I now take Selinium tablets - antioxidents once a day and a squirt of lemon juice also antioxident to ward of colds - I watched a documentary that said that oxygen oxideses our body like rust and therefore we should all be taking antioxidents because of this and the chemicals in the air.

Look after yourselfs and don't overdo your concoctions but personally I would do things over a course of a month or 2 -3 only and if it does not clear up then think again.

I have areas on my face, primarily the sides of my nose and between my eyes, that are very prone to pimples and even some cystic type acne. Had this for at least 15 years now, since puberty. The ones on the sides of my nose seem to be there permanently :( Sometimes they get better for a bit, then come back.

i have been trying using coconut oil, ACV, and H2o2 with miminal results. My theory is that they are pockets of candida (i have a systemic issue that I am treating). can anyone suggest a *strong* topical remedy? thank you!

My son has had remarkable results from oil pulling for acne. He is 26 with many scars on his face from acne since puberty. He tried many topical treatments including ACV and sulfur creams. He improved his diet excluding sugar, processed foods, dairy, fast foods, but still had outbreaks frequently. Since oil pulling with extra virgin olive oil his face is not breaking out and looks SO much better. He never misses a day without oil pulling now.

Thanks Patricia. I've done oil pulling as it helps somewhat... I need to get back to doing it.

if I may, it sounds like your son has similar breakouts to what I had.... For me, it was definitely a candida issue. In fact, the fact that this diet has helped him supports this conclusion. That might be something to look into... There are plenty of remedies on this site. It needs to be attacked aggressively.

First off, I would like to thank Earth Clinic!!! You may have saved my marriage! I was at my wits end with my husband. He has been in an ill dispostion for years. He has really bad depression, no concentration (he says his brain just feels foggy all the time), he has gained weight, he is now 330lbs! His depression comes along with a bad temper and extreme mood swings. He has always been like this, since I met him ten years ago but the past 2 years has gotten really bad. Well, I decided to treat him naturally for his depression since I have sucessfully treated myself naturally for different things over the years (haven't been to a docter in probably 15 years aside from The prenatal care and delivery of our 2 kids). I started giving him St. John's Wort, fish oil and a good multi vitamin. It helped slightly but was not enough for me to keep putting up with it. So about 2 days ago I started doing more research and found out about Candida. I have gone through this with my dogs so I was slightly familiar with it. Anyways I found a test to take to see if you have it! My husband definately has it! I think he was born with it! His mom seems to have had the same symptoms most of her adult life. His symptoms are; Chronic Athlete's foot (it's so bad, his feet are covered with probably a good 2 inches of solid callus. ), his armpits are brown with major pimples all over them, itchy anus, itchy ears, itchy and raw belly button, his belly is huge and hard, extreme gas and bloating, extreme appetite, horrible breath and body odor, acne on his rear, recurring jock itch, constant headaches, recurring bronchitis, joint and muscle pain, foggy vision And as mentioned above major mood swings, depression, anger problems... the symptoms can go on forever.

Well he had already agreed to go on a diet to lose weight because I am only 120lbs and it was becoming a real problem for me. It may sound superficial but it is causing real problems for me in the bedroom dept. Because his weight on top of me truly hurts. So I have now eliminated all sugars and refined flours and grains temporally. I plan to reintroduce whole grains after we've gotten the Candida under control. I have also started to give him fresh lemon juice with baking soda, fresh crushed garlic and warm water 3x's a day. Today I am going to get him som VCO and good pro-prebiotics. I really hope all this helps because I truly feel he has this so bad he could die soon from it if not treated immediately. He is only 29 years old and he is just miserable! And so is everyone else who has to live with him!

Anyways I have a few questions. First, should I be treating myself, my children and my animals also? My son, who is 4, Has bumpy, rashy arms, mild asthma, recurring broncitis and Gets thrush about once a year, usually after taking antibiotics, but is quickly cured with nystatin and lots of yogurt. He also had thrush for the first 6 months of his life, which I believe was due to the major iv antibiotics he was put on immediatly after birth (my water broke 2 days before he was delivered, it was a precaution). My daughter who is only 2 years old has mood swings compararable to a menapausal woman. I'm not exaggerating at all about her temperment, it can be unbearable at times. Second, does anyone recommend anything else for my familiy's condition? I must get rid of this monster afflicting us!

Thanks again Earth Clinic! I hope to reply back soon with good news!

Dear Robyn from Lavaca, Ar

I am new to this forum but have read extensively the postings. I am curious, is there mold in your home? Myself and my family have very similar symptoms. My daughter and youngest son have terrible mood swings and fatigue plagues all of us. I have suspected mold for sometime but did not know how it manifested itself inside the body.Thank you

No. I do not live in a moldy home. Oddly enough though, 2 and a half years ago we owned a moldy home. We lived there for 5 years. The mold was so bad. My son was hospitalized for breathing issues when he was 1 and a half due to the mold. We tried reporting it to our home insurance company and they said with the amount in our home that it was there before we bought it and they can not cover pre existing damage. We finally let our home go into foreclosure because we could not afford to pay for the mold extraction and pay for somewhere else to live until it was done. We have been alot healthier since we left our beloved first home. Luckily we moved out 2 weeks before my daughter was born and oddly enough she is the healthiest one out of my family, never gets sick with respiratory issues.

Was just reading your article with interest and empathy. After years of Candida and related diseases associated with overload of toxicity initially started with gut dysbiosis, (most likely from early age, if not birth) I am again researching the internet and fortunately found (this time round), this very useful site. Thank you EC and everyone sharing their experience and knowledge on here.

Among many other books, I have recently read 'Gut and Psychology Syndrome' by Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride MD, who cured her child of severe learning disabilities through researching and learning that imbalances in the flora (friendly bacteria) of the gut and overload of unfriendly bacteria and their toxins causes damage to the gut wall allowing undigested proteins and other toxins getting to the brain, as well as other organs; causing ADD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Depression, Schizophrenia, auto-immune diseases and such like. She has developed a Diet called GAPS which to me looks pretty interesting.

I have been on various candida fighting regimes at different times through my life, the strict diet plans, detoxification protocols, catalogue of herbs and supplements and the one in the past that helped the most and was easier to manage and stick to, was eating all natural organic, fresh fruit, vegetable juices, steamed vegetables and a little organic meat or fish.

I fasted for three weeks first just taking one vegetable juice in the morning, (which included carrots) and drinking distilled water for the rest of the day. The first three or four days were uncomfortable, the body was detoxifying, bad headaches, very bad breath and body odour and pain everywhere. It passed and I just rested, as you have no energy, but I did sit in the sun when I could. After the fast I built up slowly to eating with just a few chunks of ripe melon, or peeled cucumber and banana until I ate proper sized meals within a couple of days. I lost 10 lbs.

This was a very good start to a healthy maintenance diet and a more long term but SLOW detoxification protocol particularly if you are CHRONICALLY ill, in my opinion. Suddenly ingesting huge amounts of supplements even probiotics, when you are very toxic and dehabilitated causes severe auto-intoxication and unbearable side effects, in my experience. I wont bore you with my details as many people have discussed similar events on this site already.

My Life circumstances changed and I unfortunately slipped off my healthy life style again and not surprisingly I am again ridden with disease. I will be trying HP or MMS (still researching to decide which one) and am already taking Baking Soda alkalising formulas as stipulated on this site which is going well, so far.

My query is really with diet? after reading so much, I am really confused which diet is better, Organic Meat with vegetables, salads etc. and NO fruit, or All fruit, veggies and salads with NO meat or Dairy.

Obviously all refined food, tinned, jarred etc are out and for me also I firmly believe grains are the worst to take when fighting Candida, even oats, quinoa, millet, brown rice and all those, which some candida protocols say are ok in small amounts.

Amongst the alternative health practitioners world there really is a huge difference with attitudes, the diets and supplementation protocols. It is a frightening minefield for the lay (and sick person). The key common ground seems to be the need for balanced ph and detoxification and a halt in ingesting or absorbing anymore toxicity (as much as is humanly possible in this modern world )whilst remembering to actually enjoy life along the way!

Choice of supplements and diet at the end of the day is up to us as individuals and it seems to me that it is only when we accept responsibility for our illness instead of blaming doctors (or other health practitioners for that matter) for doing stuff to us, that we can start to take control of our health and lifestyles in a rational and composed way, without fear.

Many different diets and supplement protocols evidentally seem to work based on all the research I have done over the years. I guess we just need to choose one based on what feels right, that is practical and affordable too. Do our very best with diet, which ever one we choose. I think it is clear that refined sugar in drinks and junk food, packaged food is no good for anyone.

Cut all the bad stuff out, that is a good start, along with taking some form of exercise every day, a little at a time, then more as we get stronger. Dont rush and dont panic, step by step over time slowly incorporate things that we believe (based on our own research) will make us well and most importantly believe we can get well, our bodies are the most amazing healing organism, we just got to love and respect it.

Good luck to everyone on their journey to improved health, I will stay posted to this site with interest.

Rachel, thanx for your personal testimony / post as many people suffer this condition.

If I might add, it is common nowadays to ascribe "Candida" as the number one culprit; which is most likely the case in the majority, but not for all. There are many types of pathogens that are similar to Candida but aren't specifically. Especially for folks like yourself, there seems to be underlying causes that prevent any permanent resolve. The ecology of your external as well as internal environments must be scrutinized. Anything causing toxicity and lack of oxygen MUST be eliminated. Home air quality is often very poor, so it is advised to purchase air purification hardware (I personally like Negative Ion and Ozone generators).

Any kind of parasite infestation can be a donor in the Candida problem, as the immune system gets compromised.

As for diet, you know the essentials so stay w/ that, and leave anything else for experimentation as per your individual condition. Don't forget the powerhouse of herbs & spices in your cupboard ---Garlic, Oregano, Cinnamon, Turmeric, Ginger, among others. Don't forget to use plenty of Coconut Oil and Caprylic Acid as they are so effective especially in the lipid membranes.

Iodine supplementation is advised as a deficiency can leave the body susceptible to infection. If "all else fails", HP supplementation is advised. MMS is our last and most powerful defense from pathogens. Begin w/ as little as 2 drop dose and add one drop per day.

Hi Tim, Thanks for your feedback to help beat my candida issues once and for all. I have had parasite/stool tests done and apparently clear there. Good tip about MSM and iodine. I have just purchased nascent iodine and magnesium oil with MSM included to use transdermally as I have such bad gut/absorption issues. Staying as alkaline as possible is working well. I need more exercise instead of being routed to this site and researching (only kidding! ) Completely agree about limiting toxicity from our environment, have ordered Sodium thiosulfate to mineralise my distilled drinking water and use to get rid of chlorine in bath water.

best wishes, Rachel

Hi Rachel, Not sure how I missed your original post. I notice that you read about the GAPS diet but have you read any of Donna Gates work? She has been dedicated in this field regarding candida for over 20 years and I consider an expert on this subject. Her book is called "The Body Ecology Diet". It's an amazing book and I have had the great good fortune to hear her speak extensively on this subject on four occasions now. She is also dedicated to the autism community in helping turn children around through their diets. She has a very comprehensive site as well which you can easily google and on it she offers quite a few excellent recipes and articles. I've learned so much from her and have helped others to rid their candida with her protocol. You might really enjoy reading her book. She teaches you how to make make fermented veggies and also coconut kefir which is her own creation to get the good bacteria back into action. On Facebook, if you do a search for Body Ecology her page always has really good information and video of her speaking. Anyway, I wish you the best, Lisa

Hi Lisa, Thanks for your advice. I will take a good look at Donna Gates work and The Body Ecology Diet, obviously it is similar to the gaps diet as fermented probiotics are what she advocates, just a quick question though, does Donna Gates advocate high animal fat, lots of fat the more the better, as the GAPs diet does? Cos that is the only part of it that doesnt sit well with me. I am not strictly vegetarian but the thought of washing loads of greasy caseroles and chopping up lots of bones and animal parts to make broths is putting me off the whole thing. Would be grateful for feed back on this but will look up her site anyway Thanks! Best wishes

Hi Rachel, as a matter of fact, no she does not promote high animal fat or fat in her diet. Given the information regarding your favored way of eating, you will appreciate what she advocates. Her journey began as a macrobiotic many years ago and then vegetarian as well which is how my journey also began many years ago too. What she did was took what she considered the best of all the knowledge she had gathered through her many avenues and combined them for her unique Body Ecology diet. It's very comprehensible and includes what I consider mostly vegetarian dishes on her site and also in her book. I have used quite a few of them and absolutely love her various soups. I eat meat but really focus on lots of vegetables. She also has a lot of video on her site that might interest you. I am always impressed with the vast knowledge she conveys whenever I've heard her speak. I hope you take the time to check her info out. Wishing you the best on your health, Lisa

You are doing lots of things to kill the candida, but I'm not seeing anything to replace the good bacteria killed by the antibiotics. The good bacteria actually help to keep things like candida down to a manageable level. You can get good bacteria into your body in a lot of different ways -
Fermented dairy like yogurt, kefir, buttermilk and other variations
Fermented veggies like home-made lactofermented cabbage (sauerkraut), carrots, kim chee mixtures, beets and more
Fermented fruits - aka chutneys
Fermented grain drinks - like rejuvelac from grains like wheat or rye
Fermented soy - like unpasteurized miso in a warm broth (not hot, it will kill the good microorganisms)

You can also use probiotic supplements. Jordan Rubin found that one of the turning points in his health recovery was including soil microorganisms into his diet. Garden of Life and a few other companies offer soil microorganisms in some of their supplements, too. You may also want to look at the possibility of toxic metals in your body - they predispose us to candida problems, and make them very difficult to eradicate. Hair sample testing can show toxic exposures over time, and a chelation test can show what can be pulled out of your tissues by a chelating agent. Many people have uranium poisoning due to shifting winds carrying radioactive fallout from places like Chernobyl, to give one example why you might have toxic exposure even if you have been scrupulous about your diet and water filtration habits. Fermented foods are also protective during exposure to radioactive toxicity, btw... So are green foods and fiber-rich foods, but fermented foods proved their value after the bomb in Hiroshima, which I really respect.

Hi there, I started oil pulling with sesame oil about 10 days and it has been great so far. After 2-3 days, my BM increased and I got worried about my gluten intolerance but figured out it was the effect of oil pulling. I am also experiencing a sinus mucus draining so for the first days, I even quit my sinus rinse because my sinus was getting cleared with oil pulling. Now, things have changed. Anyway, on this forum I learned that coconut oil is another great oil and that I can also take it internally. I researched and now have a nice jar of coconut oil. All my life, I had issues with my digestive system and I started having reflux at age 12 maybe before.

I took a table spoon of coconut oil and wow what a bad nausea I experienced! It kept me away from food yesterday.

Today, I took baking soda in water before breakfast (thanks Ted) and had breakfast about 20 minutes later. I started eating cucumber one of the rare food that helps me with acid reflux. But had 2 small slice of gluten free bread with olive oil and almond better.

I really want to do something about candida because it can only be that that is keeping me behind. I am gluten free for 3 months and even though I feel much better I still don't have all my energy back.

I don't use sugar anywhere but I love fruits. My favourite fruits of the moment are pommegrenade, pinneaple and banana. I tried other fruits too. I have heard tht the diet for candida means no fruits at all. Is that right?
How long should I stay away from them?

I don't mind a paleo diet aka veggies meat with some rice because that's how I feel the best. Almost anything else causes me reflux as soon as I have more than 3 spoon and sometimes even with very little food.

Here is my plan when I start my candida treatment:

-Take things slowly and then increase treatment
-Use coconut oil, oil of oregano, garlic, cloves, ginger and a few other things I read about.
-Alkalize my system by eating veggies like kale, cucumber celery lemon. I love the juice I make with kale cucumber and pineapple with lemon but don't know if pineaple will be a bad choice since it is a fruit.
-I snake with nuts like almond and seeds like sunflower seeds. I wonder if I should avoid the salt I know it is as good as non salty. Also, should I avoid pistachio because they are acidic and not like almond.

I also have reaction to different foods unless it is not the food but the combination. So I am thinking of eliminating eggs, soya, corn, caffeine whiteners I tried even almond milk and coconut milk. It is ok the first time but because I like having my caffeine after my meal, I ended up having reflux.

Any of suggestions will be appreciated. I need help with the coconut oil and how I can stand keep using... I never like its smell. Also, can I mix all the ingredient like coconut, oil of oreganno, garlic, clove etc and use it as a one time treatment? I drink chai tea where I put cardamone and cinnemon with clove are these other spices good for candida? These days even black tea can give me reflux should I stop the tea too?

Sorry for the long message and thank you.

Fruits are an absolute no if you have candida. Pineapple and banana contain big amounts of sugar, which would feed the yeast.

You should differentiate between foods that cause the actual die-off and foods that only make feel you worse. To experience a die-off, I recommend you try eating one whole coconut in the morning and fasting until evening. You should get a nasty headache. Or you could try eating raw cabbage and drinking chamomile tea afterwards. This is what had caused die-off for me. I had a severe headache, shivers and fever. Another way to cause it could be eating a lot of kimchi exclusively (Korean fermented cabbage) and fasting for several hours. Observe your body and remember what this die-off feels like.

Another time eat some bananas and a pineapple. This time you will feel very bad but it won't be a cleansing die-off. It will be very different. For me, it was UTI (urinary tract infection), absolute lack of energy and a very uncomfortable dry throat feeling. You should avoid foods that give you such a reaction.

If you want food that combines many antifungals, I recommend you Indian curries. In one curry you can have garlic, onions, coconut milk, turmeric, clove, cinnamon and many other antifungal spices.

Above all, do your research. I recommend you read this website. It is a wonderful source of medical information about candida and its treatment. http://janus.net.pl/Candida Fungi.htm

Hi Marcin...Great post and I agree with all you say. I also find it odd that many doctors as well as many alternative healers recommend staying off "spicy food" to stay healthy. Yet Indian curries, as you rightly say, contains many beneficial spices and herbs that act to promote the health of particularly your intestines.

I even know certain people that cannot eat spicy food like Indian or Thai curries or Mexican food. They claim that they get "a bad reaction". And they usually always end up blaming the food or the spices and herbs when in actual truth these condiments, unbeknown to these afflicted people who eat them, are actually doing battle with their current candida, parasite or bacterial problems in their gut. And yes, it is an uncomfortable feeling for these people -- and its called a Herx or die-off reaction.

The same may be said for allergies caused by gluten or wheat. These people just seem happy to avoid all wheat and dairy for the rest of their lives. But these allergic people never seem to ask the obvious question -- "Why do I have these allergies whereas other people I know can eat as much dairy and wheat as they like?". These allergies are usually due to all the damage caused in their intestines by ongoing invisible pathogens in their gut like candida, parasites and bacteria. Invisible = Undiagnosed. These allergy problems can also be caused by low stomach acid - which also encourage rampant infections in the gut. Don't they want to be cured?

When people taking the anti-candida protocol ask me "When will I know that I am cured ?", I generally tell them that they will be properly cured when they feel much better and when they can eat anything they like in normal healthy amounts -- which includes sugar, wheat, dairy, Indian curries and Mex food. That's the test. Any other result is not a cure -- but is just managing the symptoms, which is what doctors regularly practice with their drugs. And that's a big fail in my book.

Greetings to all whom may read this. I am very frustrated to the point of tears. I have been struggling with candida yeast for 35 years. I just diagnosed myself in February of 2009 after going to the thousandth doctor to tell me my body is attacking itself and all they can give me is Hydroxzine and a bunch of other stuff that dont even control the itching. I have gotten the ACV, Cream of Tartar, H202, cayenne, garlic I have been taking it all. I need relief and I am so tired of reading "I got the cure" but you got to pay for it. Thats ludicrus! I dont have the money for all these darn books all I want to know is how to stop this itching and hives its driving me crazy. For once it would be nice if someone who truely wanted to help would state these foods contribute to Candida yeast and use this this many times a day to starve it. I cant stand to buy another book. I want cold hard facts and side effects. I know the body should be akaline not acidity and cream of tartar is acidity. so is ACV I understand this site speaks from those who it has helped. So if it doesnt help then what for me? If anyone can be more informative and detailed i really would appreciate it.

I understand that olive leaf extract and capryllic acid are really good against candida.

Poking around the web, this site looks to have extensive and detailed info, including food lists:

She does have some affiliate links if you want to support her, but it looks like the info is all free on the site. Candida can be a persistent and complex thing to deal with but people can and do overcome it, so hang in there and work on it. Best wishes for your healing!

Regarding itching in an acute candida upset, my advice (what works for me)is to vary treatments because candida can become immune very quickly to only one. You will find the itching coming back within minutes if you don't use several things.

Two things yeast cannot stand against: Camphor and ordinary household bleach. First things first, if you're suffering from itching - don't scratch! It only opens the skin to allow a deeper infection of the buggers. Let me first say, NEVER EVER take bleach internally - never swallow bleach! Never put it INSIDE your body, like using a douche or an enema. For exterior itching, in a bowl pour 2 cups of water and add up to 2 tbsps. of bleach (in your shower), bathe the area thoroughly and rinse thoroughly - do again if you don't feel immediate relief. Rinse thoroughly, pat dry, and apply a good medicated powder - even foot powder - that contains menthol and/or camphor. Use a first aid camphor oil preparation, but follow the cleansing with a medicated drying agent. If you use the camphorated oil, use powder afterward. If you can, cover the area with a dry washcloth or piece of cotton. In other words, isolate areas where skin touches skin. Use large cosmetic cotton disposable pads - whatever - just don't let the infected areas touch each other. (Change the covering every few hours.) BE CONSISTENT. You will have to go through these steps every time you feel the itching/burning return and/or each time after using the toilet, (depending on where you are suffering), for at least 2 days.

Take a good probiotic! I was making the mistake of not taking enough. Good bacteria is your friend and you have to take enough to overcome the bad/overgrowing beasties! (You will need to take the probiotic - at a lower dose - for probably a month or more.) A word of caution! Die-off from old yeast will occur, and you might become REALLY constipated. Make sure you drink plenty of water and I take a laxative for 3 days just to help the situation. Whatever you do, stay "going." Another sure thing: Oregano. Making a tea from ordinary dried oregano helps. Drink a couple of tbsps of tea and use it topically for itch relief also. If you venture into using oregano oil (it's very strong), READ and FOLLOW the directions carefully. Research oregano on the internet. It's powerful and very potent and it can hurt you if you use it improperly. (It can be hard on the liver.)

Recap: Take probiotic and cleanse the area to deliver a one-two punch! I can get over a flare-up in one day using this regimen. What I am looking for now is a permanent cure.

In response to N Jo An from Atlanta about Itching and Hives/Candida.

My niece had a lot of trouble with itching and hives after a round of antibiotics. They found that she did have Candida, but one of the biggest problems was Delayed Food Allergies-removal of problem foods reduced the itching/hives about 70%. Once she got those under control, they treated the Candida which took care of another 25%. She still gets occasional hives but usually when she eats an "allergic" food.

The web has many food elimination diets to detect problem foods and an expensive blood test is available. The test isn't 100% accurate, but it may identify some problem foods, then try the food elimination diet to figure out the rest.

Neem

I was suffering from a lot of "candida" problems and tried all possible remedies from vinigar to h2o2 and even bleach, to no longterm relief. After coming to India I was told by someone NEEM was a secret cure for most candida issues. I am currently on neem pills (google It) very inexpensive. I started with 1 pill after a week 2 pills and now 3 pills a day and sure enuff the candida is dying away. I want to share this with all of you suffering from candida and wish you a healthy happy life.

Remember you will need to take activated charcoal pills (available at drug store) in the begining to balance the dieoff symptoms. After your blood becomes saturated with the neem your blood will become antifungal. :)

After taking 50mg of niacin several times a day, my mouth-focused candida is much better.

I make sure to keep it below 1000 mg/day. Undecylenic acid was recommended along with niacin, but I cannot find it at the stores. My mouth had geographic tongue, and sores all everywhere and especially after eating certain sugary foods things got tender, but now that I'm eating these niacinamide supplements, I can eat whatever I want again, and the big sores are gone and my tongue is back to normal. If I feel it starting to flare up, I chew up a pill and rub the niacinamide all over my tongue and lips and I can feel the fungus dying, and everything returning to normal. After months of suffering, I'm so glad to have it so much better, not perfect, but I just started 2 days ago, so what can we expect.

John: I note you are trying niacin for candida. It might very well work for you, but did you perhaps confuse 'niacin' with 'biotin', a well-recognized and used remedy even to many MDs?

In the yeast form, Candida reproduces by "budding", and at this stage is usually not invasive. However, in the mycelia or fungal stage, it forms long, "rootlike" structures that can penetrate the mucus membranes. Biotin, as a supplement, will discourage transformation to the invasive myceloid form of Candida. This explains why so many people who have a chronic, severe sinus infection have so much trouble getting rid of it! It is progressed to the mycelial form, and so is literally 'rooted' in there. As for dosage, searches show anywhere claiming from 2 X 500 microgram twice daily, to many saying you need 2 X 2500 microgram or even 2 X 5000 microgram capsules twice per day. This high dose will of course be only in the interim while you kill off the much nastier rooted mycelial form.

i have been dealing with redness and flaking for years on my scalp and beard, tried many home remedies and nothing seemed to work until recently I tried the topical Nicotinamide cream and it seems to be working well. The kind I used was the Olay "Pro Advanced Regenerist Complex" in the red container. HOWEVER I will not recommend this cream for it claims to contain retinols or other Vitamin A precursors that may not be healthy for you. So get on internet & do a search for Nicotinamide or Niacinamide topical cream (both are same thing which is vitamin B3), and hopefully you can find some without unneccessry additives. You can also try Nicotinamide capsules but im unsure if these will be effective as the topicals.(i use both since I think its related or similar to Seborrheic Dermatitis). Also helps to cut back on processed carbs & sugars as these feed candida.

NICINAMIDE HELPS ELIMINATES CANDIDA

Some doctors in Montreal found Niacinamide to be a potent fungal and aspergilla's killer. It basically kills Candida infections/pathogenic fungi. This of course is something genuis Ted already knew. Niacinamide is especially effective against candida. The human equivalent dose was 35 mg and it was only administered only once. A second dose of Niacinamide was given 8 hour later. However, even a single dose was effective. While this dose is on the high end for niacinamide, for most people it would still fall under 3g, which is what mainstream medicine officially considers the upper safety limit for niacinamide. Niacinamide can cure Candida infection with a single dose. I think taking caprylic acid a before to first dissolve biofilm and then take Niacinamide and I also took two a dissolved aspirin in a glass of water and took it with the niacinamide this was a strongly effective way to go after it. Of course the obvious stuff which is be on the anti-fungal diet, helps and expect a die off so do gentle detoxification to assist the body in the process of clearing and healing.

TRUST ME, THIS IS ABOUT CANDIDA...

I didn't get over my illness until:

1) I discovered that I had been living with intestinal parasites. My physicians didn't believe that I was ill at all. They didn't want to waste their time and resources testing, don't you know. I was so happy to have them *diagnose* the animalia I presented to them in a box.

(a) the parasites, worms, protected themselves by secreting a biofilm which is both immunomodulating and immunosuppressing. Do you honestly believe my physicians knew / told me that?

2) My physicians explained, (ie., LIED), to me and explained that I had "IBS". Try googling the two words: "IBS" and "TRASHCAN DIAGNOSIS".

(a) "IBS" is a catch all *syndrome* which physicians use to substitute for real medical diagnosis, given that they do not have the time, inclination, energy or desire to solve your health problems for you. They have other things to think about.

3) Once I discovered, after nearly two decades of living in a near constant state of hopelessness, that there was an alternative, legitimate community of health care providers known as alternative, holistic, integrative and herbal medicine, I decided to take the initial plunge into the world of colon hydrotherapy.

(a) This felt great.

4) I went on a candida free diet. I went to an alternative health clinic. I paid $40 for a refrigerated, very fine grain powder, mycostatin. In 3 weeks, I was 85% better. I can now eat fruit, veggies, grains, eggs, etc.,. I had not eaten these things in over a decade. How awful is that!

5) I returned to my HMO with the good news. They were upset. Pissed off even. They couldn't believe that I would BETRAY them like that! How dare I go outside of my HMO! I had gotten off their hook!

(a) I visited a gastroenterologist at my HMO, for kicks. I asked him to take a look at the word, nystatin, which is the generic form of mycostatin. He had never heard of it before but he was willing to do what I asked. It turns out, my HMO's database stated that NYSTATIN WAS INDICATED IN THE TREATMENT OF IBS. Funny thing is, nystatin is a broad spectrum antifungal. And very, very few doctors in mainstream medicine are using it to treat IBS. I met a woman suffering from the same thing I had. She gave me the name of her gastroenterologist. Same dude. I asked her if he had given her a prescription for nystatin. She told me, "No, what is that!"

And so it goes...

Jerome, if you or anyone else can provide this information, where could one find an 'alternative medicine' provider of nystatin?

I just wanted to mention that (at least here in the US) you can order nystatin oral powder online from Canada, though it takes a few weeks for you to get it.

The first kind I ordered was the liquid suspension. This is a waste of money! I should have taken more time to convert ml into oz to see how tiny the bottle would be. This works for infants with thrush, but not a full out candida overgrowth. I have just ordered the powder (3 month supply) for $150 from Fludan. I'm very excited to see how effective it is, especially combined with the natural treatments. I've been trying natural treatments for the last month with limited success, and that's why I want to combine.

Natural treatments work just as effectively as nystatin, but I've heard (anecdotally) that nystatin works in weeks, where natural therapies take months.

Im curious as to why no one is discussing SF 722 made from Throne. It's THE best antifungal (rumored to be hundreds of time more effective than Caprylic acid) and can be found at drug stores for less that $30. It's the main supplement used in Dr. Jeff McCombs candida plan....

I have been battling an awful case of Candida for a long while now... I recently broke out in a case of oral thrush that has been so awful! I found this website and discovered oil pulling with extra virgin coconut oil and started op 2x daily plus taking 2 tbsp daily... Initially it cleared up the thrush immediately so fast it was like a miracle!! My Candida symptoms also got so much better!! Now 3weeks later it's starting to come back.. I have been on the Candida diet plus an anti fungal rotation protocol so it's not my diet.... I guess my question is could I have become resistant to the coconut oil already?? Has this happened to anyone else??? Any thoughts would be so appreciated!!

re: poor digestion -- yeast overbalence -- sinus congestion -- oil pulling (remedy). I tried the sesame oil pulling for the first time at the early hour 3:30 Am -- I could not sleep due to sinus congestion - my heart was beating 90 - 100 beats per minute mainly due to the yeast in my mouth and sinuses -- I took the unrefined sesame for 20 minutes and during the treatment my sinuses opened up completely -- after I finished I was so relaxed I could not believe it -- the thrust taste in my mouth was gone and my upset stomach had calmed down -- it has been 9 hours since the first treatment and I am as calm as a cucumber -- I can't wait until tonight to take my second treatment on an empty stomach right before I go to bed -- please spread the good word about OP and lets nip the pharma business in the butt - God bless everyone

I have been having a lot of different problems that have taken years to get to this point. So, this last 6 months or so I have been trying to heal myself naturally. I started by becoming a lacto-ovo vegetarian in April. I have stopped drinking diet drinks and started walking a mile a day as well as doing yoga 3 times a week. All this gave me a better frame of mind but didn't heal my body. I started looking on the internet to find a cure for all my problems. My main problem is yeast. I started getting ringworms, nail fungus, then very dry skin especially on my head, started loosing hair, achy joints, long heavy periods and discharge. I first looked at the thyroid and started a 21 day cleanse for my liver and colon. In looking at all the different things that can be affected by yeast I knew that is what I had in excess amounts.

YEAST OVERLOAD IS MY PERSONAL DIAC-NOSIS. I found this site Thursday and read all day from others and THEIR PROBLEMS. I started Friday with the spit in the glass test and to my amazement strings INSTANTLY streaked to the bottom of the glass. I started the oil pull THEN being Thursday morning. I did the lime and baking soda that day. As I was doing the pull I started getting a headache across my brow and down into my ears. This lasted all day Thursday.

Friday: That day I really started feeling bad. I had a pain under my shoulder blades that traveled my back into my kidneys down the butt on to my knees. I got chilled stayed covered all day and napped 3 times. Heavy head. Slept poorly. Saturday: This time the pain was in the ovary area. I ached all day. Heavy head. Slept poorly. Sunday:Felt better but had no energy. Heavy head. Slept Poorly

Monday:aches on right side in kidney area off and on. Head better. Slept slightly better.

Tuesday: I spit in the glass and the strings didn't happen as before. IT traveled about a fourth of an inch into the glass and stopped. My head is not heavy feeling and I feel really good. This is really amazing. I am now doing the oil pulling, taking lime and soda, taking sea salt and probiotic. I also have the lugol's solution that I plan to start since I don't eat meat or seafood now. I will write back with an update in September. Thank you for this site...
