Ivermectin is a versatile medication widely recognized for its antiparasitic properties. Originally developed in the 1970s, this drug has since found applications in treating various human and animal health conditions. This article explores the approved uses of ivermectin and its potential applications.

What is Ivermectin?

Ivermectin is an FDA-approved medication primarily used to treat parasitic infections. It belongs to a class of drugs known as antiparasitics, which target a wide range of parasites, including roundworms, lice, and mites. Ivermectin works by paralyzing and ultimately killing the parasites, thereby addressing the infection.

Approved Uses of Ivermectin

  1. Treatment of Parasitic Infections Ivermectin is highly effective against several parasitic infections, including:

    • Onchocerciasis (River Blindness): Ivermectin is the first-line treatment for onchocerciasis, a parasitic disease caused by the worm Onchocerca volvulus. Regular dosing helps manage the disease and prevent blindness.
    • Lymphatic Filariasis: Also known as elephantiasis, this disease is caused by microscopic worms. Ivermectin, often combined with albendazole, is used in mass drug administration programs to reduce the prevalence of this debilitating condition.
    • Intestinal Strongyloidiasis: Caused by the roundworm Strongyloides stercoralis, this infection can lead to severe complications, especially in immunocompromised individuals. Ivermectin is the treatment of choice for managing this condition.
  2. Scabies and Head Lice Ivermectin is effective in addressing scabies and head lice. Scabies is a skin condition caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei, which leads to intense itching and skin rash. Ivermectin can be administered orally or topically to manage infestations. Similarly, ivermectin is used to treat head lice infestations, providing an alternative when conventional treatments are insufficient.

  3. Anti-Inflammatory Properties Emerging research suggests that ivermectin may have anti-inflammatory properties. These findings are preliminary and require further studies to confirm its potential in this context.

  4. Potential Antiviral Effects Some studies have explored the potential antiviral effects of ivermectin. Preliminary findings suggest that ivermectin might influence the replication of certain viruses. While these findings have sparked interest, it is important to note that ivermectin is not currently approved for treating viral infections such as CV-19, and further research is needed to establish its safety and efficacy for this use.

How to Use Ivermectin

The administration of ivermectin varies depending on the condition being addressed. For parasitic infections, it is typically taken orally in tablet form. The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the specific infection and the patient's weight and overall health. Topical formulations of ivermectin are also available for scabies and head lice.

Safety and Side Effects

Ivermectin is generally well-tolerated when used as prescribed. Common side effects include dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, and fatigue. Rarely, more severe side effects can occur, such as allergic reactions or neurological symptoms. It is crucial to use ivermectin under the supervision of a healthcare provider to ensure it is used safely and effectively.

Conclusion

Ivermectin is a valuable medication with a broad spectrum of antiparasitic activity. Its proven effectiveness in managing parasitic infections, scabies, and head lice highlights its importance in public health. While ongoing research into its anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties may uncover additional applications, it is essential to rely on medical guidance and approved uses to ensure safety and efficacy.

Has anyone taken ivermectin in any form and had side effects? I have a friend who took the paste on Saturday and has had joint pain pretty bad since then. She also started taking borax the same day, could either of these cause it? And how long do you think it will last for either? Per my research, both should clear your system by day 3, although the borax could be herx reaction and she'd have to stop taking it. Thanks

The dose is X# of mg/pound body weight. The tube has a plunger with grooves in it, you dial the tube to the correct # of pounds. So, for a 1250 pound horse, you use the entire tube. Now, do the math. If you weigh 125, you use 1/10th of the tube. Close is good enough. The markings are in 250 pound increments on the one I have. I weigh 150, more or less, so I dialed it halfway between 0 and 250, it's just a little squirt. I mixed mine into oatmeal, couldn't tell it was in there. The only side effect I felt was muscle aches, which could have been from the germ and not the treatment. From there, follow the protocol for however many doses/day. I did not follow this protocol (I'm not even sure what it is) because I knew I had been exposed and didn't want to come down with it, so took it more as preventative.

Ivermectin “Horse Paste Dewormer” Storeage:

I was speaking with an old farmer (he is in his 70's) here in Kentucky who raises cattle and horses. We were talking about using ivermecin intended for animals for humans with a virus, He told me to store the horse paste in the refrigerator (NOT the FREEZER). This will keep the medicine fresh for years past their expiration date. He said he has de-wormer in his refrigerator that expired 5 years ago and is still good for use today.

The ivermectin without any other additives that is most desired for comsuming by humans is Duvet Apple Flavored Ivermectin 1.87% Horse Wormer Paste sold at Tractor Supplys. It comes in a yellow and white box with red lettering.

It's becoming harder to find. I have not seen it on the shelves for over a month but lucked up and found 5 boxes in the next county feed supply store.

I bought the horse wormer paste from a produce store and squirted it (very slowly) into empty capsules. I ended up with 14 capsules (from 1.87grams) with way too much in each but have found no problem with any overdose.

I have had both C-19 and Lyme and have taken ivermectin.

C-19 is very much like getting rid of Lyme and often the remedy is similar to Lyme leaving body. Herxing or feeling super bad after medication means the body is getting die off of virus etc. it can be very unpleasant but does the trick.

Do not go overboard with Ivermectin. I did one 3mg tablet and another one two weeks later.

Borax is just a teeny amount in a glass of water.

Better to do these apart from each other so you can see if you react. Very hard to determine cause when you add multiple things to medical mix.

IVM is good for taking long term. I take it as part of my anti-cancer prophylaxis surveillance regime at 36 mg every 3rd day and have never had any adverse reactions in the span of over a year on the protocol. Bonus is cv19 preventive also.

Point is, IVM is safe at high frequent dosage and has proven anti-cv19 effective.

My doctor actually said ivermectin has a very good and long safety profile if used correctly.

I can imagine people are running out and not properly dosing by weight. You can't just pop the ivermectin vet stuff, the dosage is for large animals!

For humans, the dose is very very small from the ivermectin horse paste.

I was given 3 mg ivermectin tablets and took two does three weeks apart for mites that just wouldn't go away despite every natural treatment I tried. Worked for me.

I would be more inclined for C-19 on onset to take two cimetidine tablets twice a day (Tagamet) to boost immune system. This does work on viruses but only if take if beginning to feel ill. More information about cimetidine on Life Extension. As people can do silly things with suggestions,

This treatment is NOT a preventative!

I found out about cimetidine, when I was using to get rid of a planters wart. Everyone in my household got the flu. I did not because of cimetidine. We keep it in the house now.

Yet there are people ordering the "horse paste" on Amazon and doing very well from it....

Nearly impossible to find a doctor that will order Ivermectin due to so many being joined at the hip with Big Pharma. Even when it's put out it's okay to order it....they wait and see.

I just spoke with a missionary that does church work in Africa and South America. We were talking about the use of veterinarian Ivermectin in humans for C-19. They told me that the brand they use and take with them overseas is Noromectin 50ml for Cattle and Swine sold at farmers supply warehouse's all over the USA. They have been taking this for years way before C-19 ever came along to cleanse their body of parasites from eating local foods and there was no refrigeration or clean water.

Noromectin image. Due to state laws, this product cannot be shipped to California

This is the company I use a lot (no questions asked if you know what I mean) https://www.countrysidepet.com/products/noromectin-ivermectin-1-injectable-dewormer-for-cattle-50-ml

The dosage they gave me was 1.2ml in orange juice every 24 hours for 3 days. Also, taking vitamin C 1,000mg 3xdaily, vitamin D3 5000IU daily and Zinc during the illness greatly improves your body's ability to fight the infection.

Hi everyone,

I thought it might be useful to share some personal experiences and general information about Ivermectin.

I decided to try Ivermectin for myself as part of a personal health regimen. It's commonly used for managing parasites and has been studied for its antiviral and antibacterial properties. My primary goal was to support intestinal and overall health, focusing on addressing parasites and maintaining balance.

Accessing Ivermectin

I was able to purchase Ivermectin from a local online retailer in the Philippines. If you're searching for it online, you might find it under abbreviated names like "iver" or "ivm." However, always exercise caution and ensure you are buying legitimate products from verified sources. I opted for an Indian-manufactured brand that included detailed product information and packaging, which reassured me about its quality.

Supplementation and Dosage

For reference, I researched common guidelines that suggest Ivermectin dosages range from 0.2 mg/kg to 0.6 mg/kg. For example, someone weighing 80 kg might take between 16 mg (0.2 x 80 kg) and 48 mg (0.6 x 80 kg). However, it's critical to consult with a healthcare provider for personalized advice before starting any new medication.

Last week, I took a single 24 mg dose (2 x 12 mg tablets) as part of my personal health routine. I experienced no noticeable side effects from this dosage.

Managing Post-Antibiotic Recovery

Previously, I dealt with digestive issues caused by antibiotic use for a respiratory illness. These antibiotics disrupted my gut microbiota, leading to prolonged digestive discomfort. To support recovery, I included supplements such as high-dose probiotics (Bifido and Lacto bacteria) and Lugol's iodine, as well as companion nutrients like zinc, magnesium, and selenium. My gut health has since improved significantly.

Information on Ivermectin and Research

I've read about ongoing studies and reviews of Ivermectin's use in various health contexts. While some studies suggest potential benefits, health authorities like the FDA emphasize that more research is needed to establish its efficacy for conditions like CV. It's always advisable to follow trusted medical advice and consult professionals before using any new treatment.

A Final Note

It's important to approach any health treatment cautiously and responsibly. Avoid self-prescribing high-dose medications without medical supervision, and consult a healthcare provider for guidance tailored to your needs.

My family of 6 have taken Ivermectin as a preventative for over 10 months now. None of us have been sick with anything. Healthy as a horse they say. I have made several videos on how to dose ivermectin horse paste. My videos have been taken down as well as my channel on YouTube. It is back up but I have to be very vague and sometimes talk in code. I have done a lot of research on ivermectin and use the latest updates from the FLCCC.com

Here is how you can use the paste if you cannot get the pill form. This video gives you the horse to human dose breakdown information https://youtu.be/5LamcxP0j90

This video is for updated dose information https://youtu.be/qZJ_jwMnvJ4

This video is for all the brands you can safely use https://youtu.be/gkTL63inh08

This video is a clear view of the tube for use https://youtu.be/yB1s8sNNqeI

This video is for a huge amount of information on ivermectin and all the scenarios you may come across https://youtu.be/q5W1VkvwyjQ

I also made videos on long C-19 and other forms of information.

I have family and friends taking Ivermectin 1.87% paste to clear up a virus. Some were getting very sick and it quickly turned them around.

Dosage is pea size placed under the tongue for sublingual absorption then wash any residue down with water. If you get C- 19 do one dosage on day1, day3, and day5 then once every 3 weeks. If you wish to prevent from getting a virus, then do day1, day4, then once every 3 weeks. Typically clears up in a couple of days. To enhance performance of Ivermectin take 1000 -3000 units Vitamin D3,1000 mg Vitamin C 2X daily, 250mg Quercetin, 30-40 mg Zn, 6mg melatonin before bedtime. This information available from front line doctors.com who will prescribe Ivermectin. All the friends I know go to Tractor Supply or a Feed Store and get the 1.87% Ivermectin paste which is a horse dewormer. This guidance also came through a doctor. Most are picking up the apple flavored.

We had to take the horse paste as there are no human pills available without recipe. Dose was adjusted to weight. It worked. If only we had taken it earlier, we would have avoided one week of fever and suffering. Smell returned quickly in few days whereas the stepson, 26, did not take it and had lost smell for 6 months. My doc is not allowed to prescribe it if I do not have parasites.

I live in South America in Ecuador. Two days ago I woke up with terrible chest pain, cough, high fever and a very bad sore throat. I bought Ivermectin tablets in advance for a case like this. The package has 4 tablets and costs $2 here. I took two tablets on the first day and by the following day evening I was back to normal, no cough, no fever, no chest pain and no sore throat. On the 3rd day I finished the regimen by taking the remaining 2 pills from the box. Ivermectin works like magic.
