Hi Jami - I can say that I've sprayed the borax/water on my face but cannot say I saw dramatic results, and that's probably because I didn't do it five times! I did, however, feel a tightening of my skin.

Are you sure that it is safe to use Borax Detergent on your face from the laundry isle? Laundry borax had detergent additives. You can get cosmetic grade borax( sodium Borate) from suppliers such as mountain rose herbs that do not have detergent additives and is specificly for use in cosmetics that will be on the skin. I use the cosmetic grade borax in lotions that I make and it isn't very expensive.

I have an empty dropper bottle I got at the health food store for like $2, and have filled it 50-50 with VCO and castor oil. I shake it before use, and have begun using it nightly around my eyes. First few days skin seems a lot softer, but bag and lines are still being worked on. If this can work, I will save myself literally thousands in eye creams over the coming decades!

No worries. Borax is a mineral additive, and has no soap or fragrance in it. "Laundry' aisle is just how it is marketed, despite numerous (! ) other uses. Some of the newer boxes do have a "scented" version so watch out for that. Check ingredients for fragrance if unsure.

Ellen, I am 14 years older than you but I am going to give your suggestion a try! Maybe I go on with Bill's coconut oil and castor oil suggestion but first I will dab a bit of ACV, maybe diluted in water as in the past I had the idea that ACV undiluted was maybe a bit too harsh for my skin.

I am 40 and have used soo many different skin care products... Some of them very expensive. The closest thing to a miracle I have experienced is ACV (either full strength or 1:1 with water) as a toner, applying with a cotton ball (not dripping wet-squeeze out the excess ACV before applying), especially on eye wrinkles. You must be careful applying around the eyes because the ACV fumes are strong. I close my eyes while applying and then fan them with my hands until the ACV dries. I follow immediately with VCO. My eyes look 5 years younger in just 3 weeks. It has also helped greatly with my dark circles and the darkness I had on either side of nose in my eye socket area. I can't recommend this enough!

Hi Bill, Your opinions are highly appreciated. On this subject, my questions are, to start with is it advisable to mix equal quantity of VCO and castor oil in a small bottle and use one finger after shaking the bottle and doing what you have done by mixing on the two fingers. Secondly the castor oil which I have is refined and says not for medicinal use, is it ok to use. Then, H2O2 which I have is not the food grade and has stabilizer in it, is it ok to use.
Also I would like your opinion on H2O2 which is not food grade and has stabilizer in it, should it be used for internal purposes since the food grade is not available.
Thanks a lot. Baldev

Sounds promising Bill.... Did you dilute the HP? I have tried the VCO with the Castor oil and actually it works great because the Castor Oil becomes easier to spread. I have tried the cling film on it as someone suggested it. I will see how it progresses. I look quite young, a pity these bags under my eyes! I read it can be a result of dry eyes, also iodine deficiency.... My eyes don't seem to be dry anymore and I am taking iodine.

Hi Susan... It's best to just lightly dab and spread the hydrogen peroxide in and around the eye sockets with a fingertip after showers with your eyes closed or do this when you are taking breaks from from the oil application. I did it about once or twice a day roughly. I just rubbed HP lightly over the area, making sure not to get any in the eyes.

Bill from San Fernando, How often do you recommend to dab 3% Peroxide?
* After showers and cleaning the eye sockets throughly, I also dabbed 3% Hydrogen Peroxide carefully around the eye socket and eyelids (don't get it in your eyes) to both help kill bacteria etc and to also help oxygenate and revive the skin in that area.

For the past month or so I have been testing a simple alternative remedy for wrinkles around my eyes which are substantial. This problem goes back to before I had candida, where I had rather large bags under my eyes which usually indicates insufficiency and problems with the kidney or liver in the body. Since curing my candida (and resolving the kidney/liver issues), my eye bags have become rather pronounced and wrinkly empty sacks!! This is quite annoying and looks awful. So I had to consider how to revive and tighten all that loose skin back to normal again.
So what I have done to cure this wrinkling and loose baggage around my eyesockets was to use the following simple protocol:
* Tip a bottle of castor oil against my left middle finger. Tip another bottle of VCO against my right middle finger(ie use a 50-50 mix of castor oil and VCO). Then mix both the oils together by rubbing the middle fingers against each other.
* Apply this mix thoroughly to each eye socket, including eyelids and eyebrows so that there is an even coating of oil that is not so oily.
* You can use and apply this remedy at any anytime, but I did it in the evening before sleep. I applied it 3-4 times a week. I used breaks in the protocol in order to allow the skin around the eyes to oxygenate, revive and heal.
* After showers and cleaning the eye sockets throughly, I also dabbed 3% Hydrogen Peroxide carefully around the eye socket and eyelids (don't get it in your eyes) to both help kill bacteria etc and to also help oxygenate and revive the skin in that area.
I have used this simple remedy for only about a month with very good results. Not only has it greatly reduced the wrinkling around the eye sockets but this remedy also seems to tighten the skin, such that my empty bags look like normal skin under the eyes now. I also noticed improvement in my eyelashes -- longer and thicker now. It also cured something which affects older people -- which can only be described as the "hollow looking eye socket problem" that normally occurs and is noticed first thing in the morning when you look in a mirror.
My interest and reasons for using such a remedy was spurred for several reasons. First, I've recently read some disturbing research that has confirmed that particularly fungi and yeast can exist and indeed can proliferate, unseen and unnoticed, in the sub-epidermal layers of the skin without detection. I further reasoned that, because so much gunk collects around the eyes, that the skin around the eyes was therefore a perfect feeding environment for proliferation of bacteria as well as fungus and such.
So I simply combined two well-known anti-fungal and anti-bacterial oils plus HP (for skin oxygenation and as a broadband pathogen killer) to get rid of the wrinkle problem and it all seems to have worked quite well and is a very economical way of resolving these problems. I'm still using it.

I wanted to share this awesome discovery I just made. I've been using the borax drink and read that one woman made it into a spray and used it on her face to get rid of moles. Curious, I thought I would try that as well and see what would happen. Amazingly, my big forehead wrinkle almost immediately started to reduce in size and depth. I am not joking!!
I used a small (2 oz) spray bottle, filled it with water and a small amount of borax to saturate, about 1/4 to 1/2 of a teaspoon. I shook it up and lightly sprayed my face. It doesn't irritate the eyes though I'd use caution with the eye area. I'd also recommend removing makeup before doing this. I let my face dry and then sprayed again. (I did this about 5 times over the course of an hour or two. ) It's amazing! My whole face feels like it got a lift and it's only been 2 days!
I'm experimenting with my crows feet wrinkles using cotton balls soaked in the borax water. Will have to report on that later. I'm not 100% sure if this is permanent yet though it feels incredible :). I'll try to update in a few weeks. Good luck to all!

It takes a while but it *does* work!
I've been using this for about 6 months now for treating wrinkles and, surprinslgly, it has worked: the lines around my eyes are essentially gone and the ones on my forehead have substantially softened (they were much deeper than the baby crow's feet I had), so maybe there's hope that, eventually, they'll go away, too.
The only downside is, as noted, is that it took 6 months to see any real results, but, man, if you're in no rush and want something that is dirt cheap (it's about $2 for a bottle that will last you months at Wal-Mart) this will, eventually! , do the trick.

For those who want to avoid harmful chemicals here are a few ideas I have tried out which appear in a collection of little book in French each on a subject like Lemon, Clay, Vinegar, Olive Oil, Magnesium Chloride and many more. Very useful.....
Lip Balsem: Melt 15g of bee wax or shea butter in 10 ml jojoba oil or sweet almond oil au bain-marie. Add 1 drop of Lemon Essential Oil (I would add two as with one I didn't smell a thing! ). Mix and once cooled down store it in a little pot (it will last you a long time as you use very little so if you wish a bit less just make half of the recipe). Rub over your lips.
Anti-wrinkle mask: Place 2 slices of lemon in a bowl (1 if your skin is very dry and 4 if it is very greasy) and cover with equal parts of creme fraiche (I suppose nowadays you can buy it everywhere) and milk, both lightly warmed up beforehand. Let rest for at least 3 hours. Try do use the mask a few times a week. To use apply it over your face and let dry for 30 minutes. Rinse using a wet towel!

Hi, be careful with Castor Oil on your eyes. Although quite a few people here have had good results my eyes got swollen over and over again, no idea why as I put all kinds of other creams on them without a problem. I never noticed any difference with wrinkles but then maybe I didn't try long enough. Drinking a lot of water may help to reduce wrinkles (although I don't notice much difference), taking MSM or Hyaluronic Acid which are both very good for the skin, VCO (although again I haven't noticed any difference), not using soap often, even moisturizing, natural ones.... Eating healthy food, plenty of fresh air, exercise, happy life.... All this will make you look healthier, even if you still have wrinkles! And make sure that you eat enough fat! A lot of people have been made afraid of fat and that will be a problem in the years to come as our body needs good fats like VCO, animal fats, olive oil, butter...... At 53 I don't have many wrinkles and I have just discovered that I have no gallbladder stones. I think that the reason is that I have never been afraid of eating fat! One more thing.... Get enough rest!

Honey is a great skin smoother and it's a natural antimicrobial. Massage into the skin in circular motion (this is great for circulation) and leave on as long as you care to (very sticky and may run). Wash off with cool water and pat dry. You should notice immediate smoothing of the skin, including fine lines and pores. It's a humectant and draws moisture to it. You can also make a paste of shea butter and honey. Wonderful!

Thanks for your suggestions.
OK. ACV= Apple Cider Vinegar. What does VCO mean? Vit. C Oil? Not sure what this is?
Here's what I'm dong so far. I have made up my own lotion of: Pure Aloe Vera Gel, Jojoba oil, emu oil, Vit. E Oil, essential oil of Rose Otto, essential oil of honey. I plan to supplement it with Hauschka, Weleda, and Sage (from Canada) products, and Sea Butter. Will let you know how it goes.
I have made a spritzer of: Well water, Rose water, Orange Blossom Water, essentail Rose Oil and Honey oil
I will also use these treatments, along with coconut oil, for my body and hair. For conditioning and covering gray, I have made a mixture of cheap beer, sage, Rosemary, lavender, and rose petals, which I boil down--then add essential oil of Rose, and spritz onto hair. I then add coconut oil to hair, wrap, and leave overnight, and wash with Shea Butter Shampoo with honey in the a.m. It "softens" the gray, but so far it is sill visible.
I will try the face exercises. They could be key.
I will also try ACV diluted, and rotate with h.peroxide with rose water as toner. I am also trying the oil pulling method for teeth, gums, and breath. I am drinking coffee, green tea, nettle tea, and ACV with honey, along with a healthy diet. Of course yoga, hiking and biking.
Will let folks know how things go. Still have mild streaks of gray, which are getting blended in with my hair--but are still there. My skin is in good condition--but still have the 11's (elevens) between the eyebrow, and slight wrinkles around my eyes when laughing. Coloring or using henna would get rid of any gray, and Botox would get rid of the 11 (elevens) between the eyes, and slight wrinkles. Is there any natural product that does this extreme stuff ? Still looking for the magic silver "bullet,"
I love the idea that I am aging gracefully and naturally. I love the idea of becoming and elder--and of slowly developing a full head of silver hair as I do not dye or use chemicals. However, if there are natural ways to at least ease those "frown" lines. Again, I will try the facial exercises. This may be the key, but days are busy, and I'd really have to make a point of fitting them in. Still, I will see how it works, nd will check back with my results. Thanks for the links.
Am grateful for peoples' responses, thoughts, suggestions, comments, and this website.

Hi R.A. Have you researched facial exercises? I have had surprisingly wonderful results from doing them. Eyes will open, eyebags will decrease as the first noticeable results, cheeks lift and plump to pull skin back up which has sagged down over jaw and into neck. Lip lines have diminished greatly! It's natural and also helps to remove toxins from the tissues and your complexion changes and evens out and you have a gradual youthful look developing. I could write a very long post on this however, I would suggest you reaearch a "specific" program not just do free exercises off the internet. The face muscles all need to build together properly. I am in my 7th week and could not be happier, the face will lift in stages gradually, but the eyes respond very quickly, within a week or less. I don't think we are allowed to advertise names so I won't. I will include 2 links at a forum if you would like to read others comments on what they have done. Good information to start out your research with. Facial exercises done properly do NOT cause wrinkles, over time the muscles build, they learn to snap back to a flat position again and smooth out the skin. Also doing your own facial massage pinching the skin encourages a thickening of the skin, No it doesn't stretch it. I've used many topical expensive skin care lines and they only treat the skin, I've never had results like what the exercises have given to me, likely cause now I'm working the muscles beneath the skin which encourage circulation and good things to feed the face. Good luck, hope this helps in some way.

I make my own sea salt & VCO scrub to use in the shower to exfoliate and soften all over. Dry brushing and cold showers will make your skin baby soft & pink. For my face I wash my face, neck and hands with baking soda and then I use ACV as a toner. The ACV can be diluted but it is like a natural chemical peel. But do not go out in the direct sun with it on because it will increase the redness of your skin or do anything to sweat because it will sting your eyes. After the ACV I use VCO as my only moisturizer which is all natural. I also put my green or white tea bags on my eyes as I drink my tea each day. I keep a small daily bottle of green tea to mist my face. For age spots I put hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball and tape to the spot overnight. I have people tell me daily that I do not look 50 and I tell them I do not feel 50.

I'm looking for the ultimate skin care/cure for wrinkles and aging skin. What really works to get rid of wrinkles around the face and eyes, etc. We all know that skin ages, and need to learn to be comfortable "in our own skin." However, I'm at an age where I'd like to stop the maintenance and go for prevention. I've researched all kinds of things on the web, but am more confused that ever. What really, really works to correct aging skin? Face lifts, botox, etc. are not an option.
What would a naturopath or physician recommend in terms of a complete skin maintenance routine? I've got the basics down in terms of living a healthy lifestyle (food, water, yoga, exercise, sleep, natural skincare products, etc.) , but with so many products, and so much hype, out there, what really works? What is the simplest, most effective product for the face and eyes?
My skin is in relatively good condition. However, I'm in the sun a lot, and tanned intensely when I was young. I want something that really works. I have tried natural skin care for years, Hauschka, Weleda,B.Bees, etc., as well as Dept. store brands, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Murad, etc. Has anyone really happened on to a real miracle cure, or what's all the hype about various products on-line? I really want to know what others have found out, product comparisons, and if there is something, besides basic maintenance that outdoorsy folks who prefer natural products can use.

(Vitamin E liquid is not an oil and will penetrate the skin well by using the Aloe as the vehicle.) I've been using this combination as an after shave for 18 years and don't have tell-tale wrinkles on my face. I'm 87 years old, and people take me for 20 years younger.

For acne, coconut oil is not recommended, it will actually plug your pores and cause more breakouts. Jojoba oil is a long known remedy for acne. It is almost exactly the same composition as our skin's natural oil, so when you apply it, it will actually slow the production of sebum, which causes acne. I didn't believe any oil could help acne..but jojoba does..and removes wrinkles too..try it on the frown marks!

I had about 15 at least gallbladder attacks in 2 weeks -hospitalized one night as well and they wanted to take out the gallbladder for my "diamonds" gallstones which I'd had for 16 yrs. at least with no probs. except very sick in my 4 pregnancies because of excess bile... The attacks started due to taking digestive enzymes for 2 days and then going off them. The attacks began the next night with coleslaw, sausages, and saurkraut ..but continued for the next 2 weeks pretty much whatever I ate. In my worst attack I practically crawled to the computer to earthclinic.com. The 1/2 cup lettuce cure came up with 2 yeas. Sent son running to store for it and 20 mins. later after eating the 1/2 c. I had complete relief. As one writer speculated that it stimulated the liver to produce digestive enzymes that would stop the body from calling on the gallbladder to produce digestive bile.. So for the next 24 hrs. I ate nothing but iceberg lettuce -lots of it - and slices of organic apple. The next day I tried out eating whatever I wanted which had caused attacks throughout the prev. 2 wks. (except the cabbage/sausages -bad memory!) Even McDonald's failed to give me an attack. I am so thrilled with this cure of course!
Hearing once recently that digestive enz help people lose a lot of weight, I wonder if the stimulation of the liver a couple times a day with particularly iceberg lettuce (as it's supposed to work the best rather than other lettuces) would be a natural weight loss cure as well? I know it seems to make less of the slight puff around my ankles -more definition. So it might also help with fluid retention. As well my new pretty set wrinkles of 6 mos. ago have almost completely disappeared within a few days of ingesting 3x per day at least (vertical ones beneath my eyes -not the crow's feet). Try it and I'd love to hear your feedback as I'm a personal trainer and would love to see if it helps people lose weight -at least it brings down the glycemic index of each meal you eat it with some.
