Turmeric did not help my boil, not by external nor internal application. It popped open and was oozing and got impetigo. I tried turmeric, salt, baking soda, baking soda and sage powder, diluted oil of oregano, castor oil, and epsom salt applications. The dry stuff only soaked up the ooz but didn't kill the infection, which was slowly spreading. I found the suggestion on milk of magnesia, as well as charcoal and fresh-ground flaxseed poultices at night. I desided to try those, along with some silvadene cream I had on hand. I applied them multiple times a day and the poultices over night, thoroughly washing the area before, and washing off the milk of magnesia after 20 min. Because of its' drying affect. The infection was totally gone in 3 day. I extended the treatments for a few days more just to be safe. I am boil and impetigo FREE! Hope this help others. Thanks

Nodulaire/Cystic/Boils: For me Turmeric is doing nothing, nothing at all. I"v been using it for nearly a year now without seeing any improvment. I'm now starting with Apple Cider Vinager as I read a lot of good things about this. . Wish me luck!

I got two ingrown hairs that I picked at and became infected within a day and turned into a boil. I searched this website for a cure and immediately tried the 1/4 tsp turmeric in water three times a day, it didn't seem to be working, though the pain had lessened a bit. It wasn't until I popped it squeezed it a few days later that it got better, though the turmeric did lessen the inflammation. I am still wondering if I had just left it alone would it have popped on its own? I don't think it would have despite all these claims that they do, what if its very under the surface?

I'm totally frustrated, as Turmeric does not seem to be helping. I was hopeful, but I've been taking the powder, 1 teaspoon, 2x per day, and I'm still dealing with one major boil, and several smaller ones, with new ones cropping up. For a long time I've been thinking it must be my immune system (i've been dealing with near constant boils for 20 months now...), but I was thinking about it today, and realized that in those 20 months I haven't had a single cold, flu, or even a sinus infection. You'd think if my immune system was not functioning properly, I would have had some other type of flu or virus over the near 2 year span. I'm so confused. (went to the ER with the first one...allergic reaction to first antibiotic, and then had Keflex but neither did anything. The first abscess finally cleared on it's own). Next I'll try sunlight therapy and another fast (i did an 11 day fast 2 months ago, began seeing a lot of success with that, but then my dad died suddenly, and since then it seems boils are ravaging my body from the waist down. I currently have about 12 of them). I've stopped the Turmeric today because it's having no effect (except to upset my stomach, a lot), and am trying to up my vitamin C intake to 5000mg per day, but currently I'm taking about 3000mg. Also, taking 2 teaspoons of Manuka Honey per day. Will add A and E, as well. And Omega-3.

I read alot about how Turmeric can cure a boil so I went and purchased a bottle of 400 MG of Turmeric for $12.00. I took two a day for a week and it did nothing! My boils are worse. My one boil went from 1 to 5 now. Did I add they are larger now? I also tried Castor Oil treatments and Ichmathol. Ichmathol did bring one boil to a head and it did drain but it didn't touch the other ones. I do seem worse since I took Turmeric. I say contact your DR. for any kind of swollen lymph nodes because this can be fatal!

Hello. I have repeated staph outbreaks for years and have given it to all girlfiriends in this time as well as two of my brothers. We tried Turmeris and it has had absolutly no effect at all. My latest boil has grown huge despite large doses of Turmeric three times a day and I have a strict organic vegetarian diet.

I have had a large cyst on my left leg for about a year. Last month, i started taking turmeric to make it better. I started with one capsule a day, eventually working up to 3 or 4. Turmeric hasn't helped at all and now i have found another cyst. It is a sebaceous cyst and I'm not sure if it is the same as a boil, because turmeric hasn't helped worth a crap. Is there a difference between sebaceous cysts and boils? And does anyone know what i can do about this? Also, haw many 450mg turmeric capsules is it safe to take at one time?
