Coconut oil and turmeric paste for painful boils.

Hi all, mum called to say she had another large painful boil, it was on her buttock making movement difficult. I asked her how did you get rid of the last boil, only about three weeks earlier (groin). She replied oh you told me to put the coconut oil and turmeric and in the morning all the gunk had come out. I should do it again. Ok mum, also, if you take a tsp every day you will stop getting the boils.

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

A question about turmeric. With hundreds of positive reviews, I tried turmeric both orally and topically to treat a very painful bump/boil. The next day the boil opened and lots of pus and blood came out. This originated expansion, and I got two other boils side by side overnight. So painful! My question is, why for some was there a cure in a day or three, and I got an infection which worsened? My experience shows a plus side and a negative one. The plus side is that indeed, turmeric works very fast to make boils open. It increases body heat and ability to expel toxins. The other thing is, when this happens, what can we do to stop the pus/bacteria that comes from spreading? I cleaned and drained as well as I could but it did not stop this.

Now I am better. A doctor had to open the three boils and clean the area. And I made dietary changes (no sugar or fast carbs plus I take some vitamins) Any comments or answers to my doubts are very appreciated!

I noticed a lump just inside my butt cheek close to my anus and vaginal opening. It became large about the size of a large pea, I made a paste of tumeric and water and it helped it drain, a lot of fluid came out. Now 2 weeks later it still is draining blood. Any ideas on what this could be and how to get rid of it?

I don't think I have got MRSA, well when I went to the doctor about my recurrent boils he didn't mention MRSA. But I tried turmeric for about 5 weeks, the dose I took was 1tsp twice daily in 1 glass of water. Some days I took only 1tsp and some lazy days I didn't take any turmeric. Nevertheless, I didn't get any large boils on my chest and back like I used to and I didn't get any on my face. I did stop the turmeric and the boils are coming back, but I will restart the turmeric, probably for a longer period. Im a 20 year old female and have been getting recurrent boils since I was 14!! I just wanted to ask one thing, will I have to take turmeric everyday for the rest of my life to prevent boils? Would 1tsp twice daily be too much? what doses would you recommend? thanks.

Hello, NEED MORE HELP!!!! I have had some pretty good success with the Tumeric powder, mixed with Coconut oil and sometimes sesame seed oil and made into a paste and then applied onto a large bandaide which I put a membrane from a egg this helps to also draw the toxins etc out for me. Also twice a day I drink the solution Tumeric 1tsp with 1 tsp coconut oil and a bit of cayenne powder mixed into a 1/2 cup of water and drink. Boil has gone from a egg size down to a thumb size, which is great but it has been 2 weeks and really want it gone Totally. I also take 2 lysine tablets daily and immune tablets once daily plus on Golden seal for 1 week and went off for awhile as directions say so. All these remedies I have tried from people off your website. I have tried others but found these one's so far the best to reduce the size of boil. Please suggest something else other than going to doctor. Really tired of wearing large bandaides and drinking Tumeric. The tumeric tablets too expensive for me. Much appreciated, Thanks Sharon Johnson

About 1yr. ago, I developed a pimple (in a very private area) which turned into a boil, months after. I was treated by the doctor, with steroids and it never completely disappeared, but it stopped paining. Then it returned. I had some medecine left, so I used it as weel as some anti-biotics. I became very concerned, and did some research. One website recommended turmeric, to be taken orally, the way your website recommends. However constipation was listed as a side effect so I just drink 1 tsp. in warm water, followed by 2 glasses of water as I suffer with constipation. I also used tea tree oil, I have at home, as a topical ointment. This was 2 wks ago, and I have had 3 outbreaks alltold. I am feeling some relief, although I can still feel a very small lump. I hope I have no more outbreaks. I also read about the use of turmeric powder, as a cancer fighting agent, so I think I will continue to drink it. I hope there are no side effects.

I tried the turmeric rememdy for boils. I just tried it for the first time yesterday, 8/7/08. I have a small boil on my inner thigh. Before taking the capsules my boil was very hard and round yet not painful or itchy. Today at approx. 3 p.m. CST, my boil is smaller in size. I can't say that this is directly due to the turmeric but it is smaller in size. Does not hurt to try. I will continue to take the turmeric for up to a week. I will give more feedback then.

summer I began getting boils, first a large carbuncle on my left hip which was a series of 7 (!) boils, I went to the doctor for two rounds of antibiotics. I got three more, each lower than the last down my leg, and after the last one on my knee found this site and started taking the turmeric. I haven't had one for a month, but a few days ago i got another one, this time on the right side of my ribcage. I have been taking turmeric, putting tea tree oil and neosporin on it, and it is definitely way smaller and less painful than the others, but still a boil. I am so frustrated, but have not gone back to the doctor for antibiotics this time. I am hoping it will go away quickly, but it appears to have gotten stlightly worse, although not golf ball sized. I plan to keep up with the turmeric and direct applications and will see how long it takes. Any futher suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i am not happy with my Dr., so i am looking for a new one to take me and my family to. anyway i have been trying to get this treated for about 2 years now. and what aches me is that he cant tell me nothing except take this prescription. it worked but about 6 months later i have hem again. i did what you recommended here with turmeric. it was nasty but i did it for 1 week everyday just like you said. then i went to health place and get turmeric extract, and i have been following directions. they went away but not all the way. hey were still in y nose. so i took the medicine again. i just want them gone for good. i have never had acne or pimples before. i will write back again if they return, but what i am saying is that i dont know if it was turmeric or the medicine. i just want them gone for good

Thursday, October 05, 2006, I developed a bump on the apple of my right cheek. It was itchy, tender, and it had a pinching aching feeling. As it quickly got bigger, I assumed it was either a cyst or a boil. By Saturday, it had become so big I got worried so I checked out the advice from the book, "Doctor's Book of Home Remedies." It suggested putting a warm/hot compress on it. I did this but it did not help. It turned the skin where the boil is (assuming it is a boil) very red. I think it may have even made it bigger. Anyway, it was not improving. In fact, the itching and pinching feeling intensified. I couldn't even lay on that side of my face to sleep and I had to be very gentle washing that part of my face. On Monday, I looked up some research on the Internet and came across this Website. I read about the "Turmeric remedy" and immediately started the procedure especially since the boil had not even come close to coming to a head. Since Monday night I have been taking a teaspoon of turmeric in warm water 3x a day. When I first started this remedy it totally relieved all the uncomfortable symptoms. The itchy, pinching, aching, soreness, and even the little bit of burning sensation was gone. It also reduced a little bit in size. It has now been a little more than 3 days that I've been following this remedy (have drank a total of 10 glasses of the remedy so far) but nothing more is happening. Yes, all the discomforts/tenderness are gone, but the boil is still here. No, it's not getting bigger, but it's not getting smaller either...it's not going away, it hasn't disappeared at all. As a matter a fact it is just staying exactly the same for almost 4 days. Is this normal or am I just being impatient. By the way, I have not become constipated at all from the turmeric and I am also doing the oil pulling procedure. I would appreciate any feedback at all. Thanks.
