Hi, I'm on my 3rd day treating a boil break out using the Tumeric spice - AMAZING RESULTS!!! Boils are drying out, they're not as painful and my body has stopped breaking out as a result of the Tumeric working to clean my blood.
I'm at my wits end, these things have been a problem since I had a major op about 2 years ago after having my son where we both contracted MRSA, they've been ongoing causing me to feel depressed, anti social, irritable and just real sad. Maintaining my health has been a real challenge and when it comes to Boils, Staf infections and MRSA - antibiotics are the worst treatment. Going natural is the only option and I'm so grateful to have found this site which informed me about the spice Tumeric.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH.
The next step I intend to take is to buy the book MRSA Secrets Revealed by Microbioligist and Scientist Michelle Moore.

I have had boils for many years. I started using turmeric, one teaspoon in half a glass of water twice a day, they are all gone! I have used also Curry (turmeric with pepper and other spices), it worked also, but it seems that turmeric alone is better. Thanks for this wonderful remedies!

Thank you Earthclinic contributors for the remedy for boils. I had recurrent boils lasting for about 10 days in my peri area, they came one at a time but were coming every month for three months. I tried the remedy of 1 tsp of dry turmeric powder mixed with 1/2 cup of applesauce once a day. After the third day the boil was flattened out and drying up with no liquid remaining in the center. I did this remedy for 4 days two months in a row and after that I have not had any other boils in the past 3 months. I believe I am cured!
Of note, the turmeric does have a blood thinning side effect and I could definitely notice it when I shaved my legs and the knicks did not stop bleeding for at least 20 minutes. The side effect dissapeared in about 2 weeks each time.

Just curious if you have had any other boils come back? How long did you take the turmeric/applesauce? Thanks!

Wow.. That's the only word that comes to me right now. I have been suffering from these on and off for years. Usually if any pop up they are smaller but stay for weeks at a time till they drain and heal. (yea.. Gross) Two nights ago I noticed one. I hadn't noticed it previously but it was huge. Largest one I've had. I'm gonna say a lil less than a golf ball. Anyway, I started freaking out. A - it looked horrible. B - it hurt like hell. And C - in a week I'm going out of town with the boyfriend and didn't really want to have to worry about this all weekend.
So I frantically start serching the internet. I've tried things before that never worked. But I got to thinkin that this was an infection. And what kills infections? Antibiotics. But after my last run of anti-biotics I swore I never wanted to take those things again. So I started researching natural antibiotics and garlic, and that's what brought me to this site and the whole turmeric thing. After reading all this info I decided it was cheap enough to be woth a shot. So last night as soon as I got off work I rushed to the store. Bought a cheap thing of the spice and one bulb of garlic. At less than $3, I figured Id try em both out. Ate 1 clove of garlic when I got home and mixed 1 tsp of the tumeric with 1 cup of milk and some honey like recommended. Yea it did not taste that great, but I could stand it. I don't think the whole clove of garlic agreed with me cause I woke up with a stomachache, and rather disapointed that I still hurt from the boil and didn't have one of the overnight miracles I'd read about.
However I kept on and made another cup of the milk around noon and drank it. (leaving the garlic for right before bed.. I think I'll try less this time) But a few hours later I checked on the spot and it just started draining! Two days after I noticed it And less than 24 hours after taking this wonder-spice! It is rather large so it still hurts some but not nearly as bad. Usually larger ones would take weeks and I'd be in so much pain. But holy crap! I may be permanently adding Turmeric to my daily routine. It's just simply amazing!! Total life saver. Thank you Earth Clinic!

Turmeric did not help my boil, not by external nor internal application. It popped open and was oozing and got impetigo. I tried turmeric, salt, baking soda, baking soda and sage powder, diluted oil of oregano, castor oil, and epsom salt applications. The dry stuff only soaked up the ooz but didn't kill the infection, which was slowly spreading. I found the suggestion on milk of magnesia, as well as charcoal and fresh-ground flaxseed poultices at night. I desided to try those, along with some silvadene cream I had on hand. I applied them multiple times a day and the poultices over night, thoroughly washing the area before, and washing off the milk of magnesia after 20 min. Because of its' drying affect. The infection was totally gone in 3 day. I extended the treatments for a few days more just to be safe. I am boil and impetigo FREE! Hope this help others. Thanks

Hi the charcoal, did you eat it internally or crush it and apply on wounds? I'm having impetigo and suffering. Fresh ground flaxseed, did you eat it internally as well? What effect does the flaxseed have on the staph? Thank you.

What a gift this website is; and what an amazing group of people you are!! I have suffered with boils for years. I had one coming on right where the leg of my underwear lays. I could hardly sit down! I knew it would be a good week to two weeks before it drained. I saw this website, went straight to the store, and took 2tsp of Turmeric at 8:00 at night. By 10:00 the pain had subsided. By 7:00 the next morning, it was draining. Made a believer out of me! I will never again suffer with that debilitating pain. I think my eyes are going to fall out, because I'll I've done is read over this website!! What a blessing... Thank you!

I would not believe it, had it not worked so quickly. Truth! I have tried everything--yesterday I felt a nasal staph infection beginning and started scouring the net AGAIN, hoping that something would pop up that would ease the pain. I had not heard of tumeric before this--which is odd, I have been looking at homeopathic treatments for over a year now after round after round of antibiotics and creams which turn this thing into a 10-15 day nightmare.
I went and got some manuka honey and tumeric. I mixed into a paste and smeared a thin layer on the infected area and then the rest of the nose. I am not joking within MINUTES the pain (my heartbeat was thumping in my nose) was GONE!! Absolutely gone. I applied a new layer this morning and voila. No Pain. It also is not swollen or painful or puffy. (Usually day two is the one of the worst days) So I can not thank this site enough for finally releasing me from the pain of this twice a year nightmare!!

I like putting a 1/2 tsp or so of turmeric into the rice as it cooks... It comes out bright yellow and fragrant! Madhur Jaffrey is a reliable source for traditional Indian recipes and many of her dishes include turmeric balanced with many other helpful spices such as onion, garlic, ginger, coriander, cumin, cayenne... Just last night I made one that was cauliflower with onion, garlic, turmeric, coriander, cumin, salt, oil... So yummy! I agree the taste of turmeric can be unpleasant when raw or alone, but when combined with skill it really is delicious!

Very easy, put it in your food! It makes everything nice and yellow. Instead of saffron in the rice, for example, use turmeric but you can use it in any other dish. The food becomes yellow but other than that you don't really get a different taste (maybe if you use huge amounts). I also put a bit into a drink I make with molasses, water, cayenne pepper and a bit of lemon juice or ACV.

Hi Alexis, You can try the
TURMERIC TEA FOR JOINT PAIN recipe listed in the Turmeric Cures section. It is located about half way down the page. It tastes good. I use almond milk instead of regular milk. Here is the link https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/turmeric.html

Alexis, have you tried tea tree oil for the boils and staph infection - it can be used undiluted. Also any sign of a boil or cyst coming up and you can apply the tea tree oil and it will penetrate through the skin and stop it in its tracks.

I agree Tumeric capsules are the easiest way to get it down if you don't like the taste but Tumeric spice is so much cheaper. You can buy empty capsules and make your own to save lots of money or try this.
Tumeric needs a bit of fat to be more effective so try using a bottled health drink such as green machine. Use about 4 ozs. Of green machine - add a dash of half and half for fat and about two heaping teaspoons of Tumeric. Mix well and drink quickly. It's only a few ounces of liquid and it doesn't taste that bad. BUT ALWAYS brush your teeth well afterwards because the Tumeric can stain them yellow. The capsules of course avoid that problem.

Do you have hidradenitis suppurativa? Turmeric is great for us with HS. Also hot bath in (2 cups)epsom salts, help draw it out, to drain. EJ

Turmeric remedy for boils
I am taking a teaspoon of turmeric in warm water three times a day and getting very good results. Today is day four and the three boils have reduced in size by one-half. The largest one was the size of a 1/4 cup measuring cup.
My question is how exactly are the toxins eliminated from the body and how do I know that the toxins are not just going to another part of my body?

TUMERIC for BOILS! I've been getting boils (usually on my face)for the last ten years whenever I get stressed. They do not grow much bigger than 2 cm or contain puss that I can drain, but they are tender and unsightly for weeks. I turned to Earth Clinic and discovered that tumeric is the answer. I added 1/2 t. tumeric powder to 4 oz. of hot water and drank it three times a day for two days. By the third morning I decided the boil was well on its way to dissappearing so I ended my "treatment" at that.

I don't think I have got MRSA, well when I went to the doctor about my recurrent boils he didn't mention MRSA. But I tried turmeric for about 5 weeks, the dose I took was 1tsp twice daily in 1 glass of water. Some days I took only 1tsp and some lazy days I didn't take any turmeric. Nevertheless, I didn't get any large boils on my chest and back like I used to and I didn't get any on my face. I did stop the turmeric and the boils are coming back, but I will restart the turmeric, probably for a longer period. Im a 20 year old female and have been getting recurrent boils since I was 14!! I just wanted to ask one thing, will I have to take turmeric everyday for the rest of my life to prevent boils? Would 1tsp twice daily be too much? what doses would you recommend? thanks.

Hello, and I have to say I have suffered from Boils for the last four years... I do believe from stress. I have been to the doctor and have tests ran for MRSA and they are negative. I was given a prescription to take then and another to start taking when another one started. It was a few months and one started. I took the prescription and it worked like a DREAM!! I called my doctor to get another prescription for the next one and was told I couldn't get another one unless I came in again. Are you kidding me.... So I researched Boils. I learned of Turmeric, bought a bottle of capsules.... There is a brand out there that doesn't have all the "other ingredients" that shouldn't be there just keep looking. I took it twice a day with food and the boil, instead of lasting over a week lasted a few days. I started to get another one a week ago and took the Turmeric immediately. Only about one hour of pain, never really got big, they used to be HUGE, never came to a head and now.... Almost completely gone. For me, beginning to end taking Turmeric, about three days.

I started to get the boils on my butt area last fall. After one would eventually get better another one would appear in a different spot. The doctor I went to suggested soaking twice a day in hot water to help soften it. Without a satisfactory solution I came across this website late one night about a week ago. I immediately went to a local grocery store and I was in luck, they carried turmeric. I have been taking it religiously 3x a day with yogurt and the results have been fantastic. At the time I had one boil at maturity and another close to it. Both have dissipated without much drainage and it looks like they're going to heal much better than the previous ones I had.
I've never used natural products to solve a medical condition before, but I have to say this one has definitely worked extremely well. I'm glad I found your website.

Tumeric - Boil
I had found this site by researching natural flea remedies for my new puppy about 2 months ago. And have since used it to help my family and I many times.
What I thought was an ingrown hair on the top hair line in the pubic area quickly developed into a boil in one day. I saw it on Friday morning Dec 19 and applied antibiotic salve,by that night it was so painful I could barely walk. I read the many tumeric remedies and went to buy some. I started taking it that night, 1 tsp mixed into hot chocolate. YUK! I didn't notice any relief but continued the drink twice a day. In the mean time I also tried the mixing tumeric with tea tree oil and applying topically. Nothing. I also ground up garlic and applied that on a bandage, OUCH!! Nothing. The pain had diminished a small amount, but no drainage. FINALLY on day 5 it burst open and I have some relief. It is still draining and very ugly, the pain has gone down drastically. I will continue to take the tumeric twice a day until it is gone!
It is so much better to take it either mixed in my coffee or in hot chocolate. It tastes terrible and the smell makes me nauseous but I don't stop. IT WORKS!! THANK YOU!!!!!!

I've always gotten boils (mostly on my thighs or near my bikini line) though they've never been painful and tend to go away on their own. However, last week I got a large and tender one underneath my armpit. I've always shaved my underarms without any sort of irritation, and have been using anti-perspirant for years. However, when it appeared, I was unable to shave OR use deoderant, which was uncomfortable. I used a hot compress approximately 5-7 times a day, soaked in an epsom salt bath, tried tea tree oil, used natural deoderant, and even stopped exercising for fear of sweat production making it worse. Then I came upon this site and saw that turmeric could be helpful. Interesting is what I thought. I use turmeric a lot as I enjoy curry and Indian foods. I decided to try a paste and applied it over the boil as I slept. I mixed about 1 tsp of turmeric powder with olive oil and honey to form a paste, spread it over the area, and layered with gauze. When I woke up, it shrunk approximately 50% in size and was no longer painful. While the boil is still there and it's still red and slightly tender, it was in no way as bad as it was yesterday. I'm definitely remembering this treatment and will continue to use it!

Turmeric: I just wanted to thank you for this website. Over the last two weeks I have been growing a monster of a boil. I have tried boil ease, the stinky black tar stuff, hot bathes, heating pads, etc with no relief. Last night as I was literally crying from the intense pain I found your site. I immediately hobbled to my local gorcery and bought 2 actually! I came home and drank it at 9am. I was off to work and praying to whatever God would listen that I would make it through the shift. By 1:30 I felt a relief I cannot begin to explain:) I forgot to mention I also very carefully made a paste and applied directly to the boil at around 11AM. (not the least worried about the yellow stain!!!) I am a believer and am so thankful to be feeling better. I plan to get the supplements and will now be a faithful follower of this magic herb!! For any of you thinking about this method-DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

It is good to see someone with my exact issue. For a minute I thought I was the only one in the universe with this problem. I have the same experience once a month with my menstrual cycle. I've been dealing with it since I was in my teens. I'm 25. I always know when my cycle is coming because I develop boils filled with red stuff and it is so painful. I literally cried for like an hour last nite because it is so unbecoming to have to deal with this every month.
I've been to the dermatologist and was given bactroban for topical treatment and some horrible smelling antibiotic to take. The combination slowed down the boil process but did not eliminate them.
I came to the earth clinic last week and found Turmeric. Ive taken it and it reduced the soreness and swelling of the boil. I am hoping and praying that this is the answer to my prayers. I don't know how much more of this I can take.
Does anyone know if the draining fluid from the boil is contagious after it burst?

The condition you have is called hendritis sepertiva I'm not sure if I spelled it correctly. It also goes by the name acne inversa. I try antibacterial soap. Dry off really good after the shower. I then apply bacatracin ointment. Ater the skin is dry I apply a antibacterial powder. I know this isn't the most natural way, but it helps a little. This condition was the reason I was looking up this web site. I also found that when I lost some weight that it wasn't so severe. I read somewhere that neem extract helps and I got a bottle of it, but it don't smell to good. It always seems to be the worst before the monthly cycle starts so I'm beginning to think it has to do with hormones. Any ideas!!!!

After 2 years of a staph infection inside my nostril tumeric cleared it up!!!
I wanted to leave feedback and say thank you for compiling this website and for everyone's posts. I have had a small staph infection just inside my nostril for 2 years. I have been given 3 oral antibiotics and 2 antibiotic ointments and i even tried garlic tablets and none of them worked for me. I found your website after searching the internet for natural remedies and saw the post about the person who had used tumeric to clear up boils inside her nostril. So i made a tumeric paste out of face moisturiser and shop bought tumeric and applied it 3 times a week for the past week. And it works!!!!! Thank you sooooooo much this site has finally put my worries to rest as i thought i would never clear it up!!

I'm a 48-year old male and have been getting boils on my upper thighs since about age 14 and they usually follow the same pattern; a small nodule close under the skin turns into a red, hot, angry, painful boil within 3-4 days that can sometimes grow 2 or more inches in width. The pain is intense and walking or sitting is sometimes impossible. The only thing that seems to help me is hot water baths, although about 5 years ago I switched to boxer shorts and the frequency of incidents immediately decreased. Antibiotics never seemed to help and many/all dermatologists left me without answers.
Based on the advice of this site, this time I tried turmeric pills. A large bottle was about $25, but that seems like a small price to pay given the pain these boils can inflict. I started taking 4/day and within a week reduced to 1/day.
The nodule never materialized into a boil. Maybe this would have happened anyway. Maybe it's coincidence, but a long-standing pattern was broken. It's been a week and sometimes the boil will re-materialize but so far it hasn't.

Hi all.
I have tried some of the home remedies I found here and elsewhere, and especially the ACV + honey helped me. But the turmeric is the best remedy, it's simply the answer to my prayers. I too wonder why doctors don't say to people that there are home remedies that cure boils and related infections. And I too had been having boils for the last five or six years and was taking antibiotics using ointments and even had them lanced to no purpose. I managed to stay a year away from antibiotics with the help of garlic and warm compresses, but a new one appeared and found your site and followed your advices. I bought turmeric a few weeks ago. I want to say a big thank you this is a great site and the home remedies WORK, especially the turmeric powder and the ACV+honey.
Last but not least, most of the boils appear when it rains, right now in Athens we have dust from the Sahara desert which is one of the most polluted regions, it started spreading in the atmosphere in Feb and in Feb it rained and got this new boil. So toxic rain, chemical substances in the atmosphere have also something to do with boils.
To all of you who suffer from these problems, believe us, these remedies work and you will feel better and healthier.
Cheers
