my oldest daughter had back to back UTI's for a year when she was 3 antibiotices didn't help at first her doctor told me to stop giving her baths and start giving her showers with mild soaps and after her shower let her soak in a baking soda bath for about 30 mins. (you use about a 1/4 cup backing soda to the water) the baking soda helps relive the redness and itching... It helped with in few days and the antibiotice wore able to work... Her doctor told me that when lil girls sit in bath water all the dirt sits on the bottom of the tub and none the else around the vaginal area and cause some of the infection... My daughter is now 9 and hasnt had another UTI since and anytime she says it hurts down there or it red we do the baking soda bath and it clears it up... And you can use a baking soda bath on a child of any age... So I hope this help... If nothing it will help with the burning anad itching

Apple Cider Vinegar and Vitamin C for Uti in 4 Year Old

I knew the ACV and Vit C would work, but I doubted the quickness of the relief. I had to do something though for my daughter. She is 4 years old and was in incredible pain. It took days to realize it was a UTI because she wasn't describing it well and I thought it was heat rash on her butt or a rash from not wiping right. She did have some diaper rash looking redness.

We kept putting desenex on her, then she started to apply it to her urethral opening... Which made me wonder if that was where the pain was or if she, but I still didn't know if maybe it was yeast or bladder and that was only this morning... So it took days to realize what was going on. By the fourth day, today, she was crying and squirming. I questioned her and found that it hurts when she pees... then I knew for sure.

I came here because antibiotics are worse than the illness usually and I knew I could at least get some healing started if I needed to go to a dr.

I gave her 2 tbsps ACV in 12 oz distilled water sweetened with 2 packs of stevia. SHE CRIED AND SCREAMED bout the TASTE!!!! I had to force her sip by sip to drink it! Many tears! LOL... But honestly, 20 minutes later she had stopped crying! She is now laughing and wants her nap! I also gave her 2 Vit C pills because she really only drank half the nasty concoction. I'll write again to update since its really only been 30-40 minutes.

A better way to give it to her would have been a syringe (without the needle) and aim it down side/back of her mouth. That way she won't really taste it and it is quick and easy. I do that for my son. I also put a spearmint chlorophyl in the syringe to hide the ACV taste.
