My son has had pink eye several times and we went thru a phase with no insurance so, my friend suggested very hot Chamomile tea bags pressed to the infected eye for 2-3 minutes 4x per day. Also, just a very hot compress is effective. The key is to catch the pink eye early on and use the compresses several times. You do have to be careful not to burn you cheeks. The heat of the compresses must kill the bacteria in the eyes. Do this for 3-4 days and you should be pink eye free.
