Lemon Oil for Dermatitis:
I first started having red spots on my face. I noticed they would flare up after eating certain foods. I decided to have allergy and food testing done to see if I could find the culprit that was making these red spots on my face. My allergy testing revealed I am sensitive to corn, soy and yeast. I changed my diet to try and avoid these foods. I also saw a dermatologists during this time. He got me out of my severe redness stage with a shampoo and steroid but did not solve the problem. My wife decided she wanted an oil diffuser. This puts different types oil into the air. She read that lemon oil behind the ears helps complexions. I tried it and started seeing good results. I have been putting several drops of Lemon oil behind my ears twice a day. I have had a few occasional mild flare up but I have seen a drastic improvement. I am not sure if lemon juice works or not. I would at least suggest diluting the lemon juice if you try this with water. But my best results have been with lemon oil. Good Luck

I am very grateful to everyone who has previously posted on this website. This is why now that I free of this terrible problem I come back to this site to help at least a person that is frustrated trying everything with not significant results. I have been suffering from perioral dermatitis for the past months and have changed many things in my daily routine. I did a little bit of everything posted in this site. However, the final and less expensive routine come from my kitchen. A little bit of Sodium Bicarbonate and ? of a Lemon. Clean the affected area with the lemon juice and the bicarbonate every night. For the first night (in my case 3 days) do not use nothing more than this paste to clean your face, no creams, lotions, fats, makeup nothing. I promise you that after a few days you will see results. My skin is not perfect as it is to be but it is free of POD and can use natural creams. Now once in a while when I feel that POD is starting to come out I just clean my face with this miracle paste and magically the rash disappears.

Hello, I've had p/o dermatitis for about five years now, the only thing other than prescription that has worked for me is fresh squeezed lemon juice, it takes just as long as the prescription "ery" pads but works just the same. I use it twice a day all over my face w/ a cotton ball and have been free of my dermatitis and eczema for over a year.

I have tried both ACV and Lemon Juice and the Lemon Juice actually worked better for myself. I took a Q-tip, dipped it in the lemon juice and rubbed it on my dermatitis. It does sting and burn a little bit. It helped dry it up pretty quickly so it could heal faster. I only did this at night before I went to bed.
