Colloidal Oatmeal & Mineral Oil (Remedy):

I had written a post about how olive oil temporarily relieved this nagging anal itch i've had for months. The olive oil didn't do anything long term but one day I decided to take a bath w/ all natural aveeno bath powder (can be bought at walmart, cvs, etc) and mineral oil (the laxative). This remedy is probably the most soothing for the itch. The Aveeno Bath powder has colloidal oatmeal which is great for skin irritation. The mineral oil works overtime as it stays on the skin after the bath. What I do is mix 4 table spoons of mineral oil w/ one packet of colloidal oatmeal powder into a warm bath. I usually let it soak for 1/2 hour. It takes a few days to truly feel the difference but I can say with confidence that my irritated tush is healed. On a side note, I no longer use regular toilet paper which was the culprit for causing the itch. I switched to moist wipes that contain no alcohol and has Aloe Vera and Vitamin E.
