Colloidal Silver

★★★★★

After suffering from 2 migraines in one week, I decided to try colloidal silver. If migraines are caused by an underlying infection, this will truly heal you! I took one teaspoon, three times per day. By day 3, for the first time in weeks, I no longer needed Claritin, Advil, or natural supplements. In addition, I am eating cilantro daily mixed in a smoothie (1/2 cup). Read the testimonials on colloidal silver and you will be amazed.

Enema
Posted by Beth A (Usa) on 01/27/2022

Patty, omg hon so happy that you found a remedy that helped you! Yes, getting a enema!
Hugs ❤️
Not a doctor or any type of medical person here.
Please, don't take this as medical advice what, or what not, to do.
Patty, pray others read your comment and they too may get relief from migraines with the enema.
When I had a headache growing up, not often, but had a few. I remember being given enemas!
And I have done one a few times for a headache.

I don't know why, or how, the enema helps.
Possibly by cleansing toxins out? Or, relieves stress? Hopefully someone on here with more knowledge of this can elaborate some.
Recently I was talking with my new neighbor. She told she got horrible headaches off and on.

Few weeks later she told me she was experiencing one and asked if I knew of a remedy.
I went over to her apartment and told her about my experience with the enema. That a enema or series of enemas would do wonders for her.
After calling her doctor and told it was ok…she agreed.
This was her first ever enema. So it was a good time to teach her the enema.

Don't know how she made it but she went to the store with me.
Purchased a enema bag. Yes, the two quart red rubber one. It is still sold and used in the home today. Should tell you something about the benefits of the enema.
Also got a bar goats milk soap (good to use in the enema), Vaseline.
Sorry TMI…
I showed her how to prepare the bedroom and bed, clean the bag (always clean before using), prepare for the enema. Taught her how to make a large pan of mild soapy warm water and pour it into the bag. Fill it up full.
Told her to get on the towel on the bed. On knees, bent at waist, head on the bed.
I gave her, very slowly, the full enema bag. Two quart enema given to her. Taking deep breaths as she got it. Relaxing.
For her first ever enema she took it very well. While expelling I prepared a plain filtered warm water enema in the kitchen sink.
Always give a plain water enema after a mild soapy water enema. Filled the bag up full.
As she came back to the bedroom she asked “I get a second enema?” “Yes to rinse the soapy water one.”
Administered the second enema to her.
After she expelled the second enema had her rest on the bed. Covered with a blanket. She told me her headache was gone!
Amazing!
She told me the enemas will be taken anytime she gets another headache-migraine. It was the first relief she had in years!
She told me her 7 yo b gets headaches off and on. I told her to check with her doctor because he may also get relief by given an enema!

Few weeks later she told me he was at home from school with a bad headache and nothing was working.
After she got ok from her new holistic doctor she asked me to help her with the enema for him.

Knowing she would tell me one day that he was suffering from a headache, I had already purchased a 8oz enema bulb syringe. Just in case.
I took the syringe over to her apartment.
She was taught how to prepare him, the table and the enema for him to get.
He wasn't overly happy when he was told a second enema he was needed.
Surprisingly he also took his first ever enema very well.
Like her he told me he already felt better! Amazing what a cleanse does!
I would see her off and on and she told me I got a headache and it is gone…smiling.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Baking Soda

Hello, wonderful people! I came across this awesome website about two years ago. I was trying to help one of my BFFs cure her uterine fibroids. Unfortunately, she ended up having surgery but I became addicted to your site. I have suffered from migraines for many years. I had to take medication because my migraines would become a vicious cycle until I took pain relievers to get out of it. I read a lot about Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) and how wonderful it is for migraines. I took 2 tbsp of AVC and 1/2 tsp of baking soda in an 8 oz glass of water and it did not work. I went back to the site and read some more and realized I needed to play around with the dosage. So I now take 3 tbsp of ACV and 1/2 tsp of baking soda in an 8 oz glass of water and my migraines disappear within 10 minutes or less. It is just awesome! I am so grateful for this site and all the people who contribute to it. God bless you all and let's keep helping each other. It is the right thing to do.

Oil Pulling

I accidentally found oil pulling as a migraine cure about an hour ago! I have had a migraine for many hours. I was getting ready to give up and go to bed, so I brushed my teeth, then decided to oil pull before I laid down.

I had no expectation of it affecting the headache, just thought I should get it in while I had some down time. But before I could even finish the 15 minutes, my migraine was GONE!

Makes me sad that I've suffered migraines for so many years and have also known about oil pulling, but never tied them together therapeutically. Either way, I can't wait till I get another migraine so I can see if it was a fluke, but by the way I feel and how quickly it just went away, I'm inclined to think I have stumbled upon something that works great, at least for me.

I hope those of you with migraines will also give it a try! It's worth a try! Incidentally, I was using an organic, first cold pressed sunflower seed oil.

I wish you all the best : ) I'll update next time I try it...

Cayenne

I had a migraine coming on yesterday.. It was getting a bad enough to need something for it... I could feel the pulsating vein in the side of my head. I decided to try cayenne pepper to see if I could stop it.

Last time I drank the cayenne mixed with hot water and I did feel a bit sick afterward so I decided to try something different.

I grabbed a pinch of cayenne and put it directly under my tongue and left it there. I thought I felt pretty quick relief as the pulsating vein seemed to be less noticeable, but the pain was still there. I added a pinch of cayenne a few more times under my tongue, swallowing the excess cayenne along the way. Doesn't taste too good but better than a whole cup of hot cayenne tea. It is a bit painful and you do salivate a lot. I also put a pinch of cayenne directly on the tip of my tongue and left it there.

Well I can say it got slowly better and then vanished (within 1/2 an hour to an hour). Normally it would just get worse until I take about 3 panadol.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Posted by Gerald (Columbus, Oh) on 05/15/2014

Most people say that the pills don't work, just as regular apple cider vinegar (the clear stuff) does not work as well. The cloudy vinegar...that has the Mother in it seems to be the best choice. One suggestion I have for you is to put the vinegar in fruit juice (apple is my favorite) and much easier to drink. I don't know where this idea came from that you have to drink it in water with honey. Try it with juice, it's much better. Another thing to try is to drink it with a straw which will get the liquid to the back of the throat without tasting it as much.

One other thing.....never put your vinegar in the fridge, the mother is a living thing and the cold will kill it.

CoQ10

★★★★☆

I take coQ10 daily for migraines. Although I still get them the amount of them has been reduced by about 50%. Clinical trials have found coQ10 to be effective at migraine prevention. Research was released in 2004 by American Academy of Neurology. CoQ10 can be found at any health food or drugstore.

http://www.aan.com/press/index.cfm?fuseaction=release.view&release=185

I also use Oxygen as an abortive for cluster headaches and have found it to be helpful for migraines and hangovers. I keep an oxygen tank next to my bed. You do need a prescription from a doctor for oxygen. Oxygen is actually the recommended treatment for cluster headaches for an acute attack.

I have been using Cayenne pepper to treat my Migraines. I take 2 small caps. and an over the counter pain reliever. I DO NOT take any "Migraine" Medication with Cayenne pepper. But I find that it works great. I also take cayenne pepper the day after a migrain to get rid of the remnants of it.

COQ10 & Riboflavin for Migraine:

I was really happy to see this site! I didn't see anything about these 2 supplements. My son has been suffering with migraines now for a year and 1/2 and we have seen a host of specialists. His neurologist ran a blood test to test for these 2 nutient levels because he said they actually help prevent migraines. My sons levels were extremely low. I just wanted to post this as a great migraine preventative. We have definitly seen an improvement.

ACV treated my sinus infection! I came across this website looking for a treatment for my recurrent sinus infections that no antibiotics ever took care of, and based on all the reviews I tried the ACV treatment. It worked in ONE DAY!! I can't believe it, because I am a doctor, and am a little wary of home remedies. I did the 2 tbsp in 8 oz of water, and in one day I didn't have as much sinus pressure, and by the second day the constant drainage from the infection had stopped, and my migraines which I have had on and off for years also have not returned. In addition, my bad breath from the infection is gone, and I don't have to constantly be chewing gum anymore! I definitely will be doing this treatment everyday for a very long time, and I've found if you eat just a little bit of bread or crackers with the ACV you don't get heartburn. To anyone who's suffering from a sinus infection, just try this, it doesn't cost you much money at all, and if you've suffered from sinus infections as much as I have, you owe it to yourself to give this a shot!!! Best wishes to all!

Gunpowder Tea

My son got a horrible, throwing up migraine headache. He was laying on the couch clutching the edge of a blanket. I came to Earth Clinic thinking there might be something for him. Saw the Gunpowder tea, called the local wholefoods, and and sent my husband out to retrieve it. Brewed it, and sat down next to him to wait for it to cool while I wondered if he would be able to hold it down long enough to see if it helped. He actually wanted to try it, and drank 1 cup down. Within 5 minutes he was up and looking for some food. Amazing! Now I carry some (teabag) in my purse in case he gets a migraine.

At a basketball game, I gave some to a dear lady who gets horrible migraines. Her husband gave me a look of disbelief, but the next time I saw her, they were both beaming and telling me how much it stopped the pain and symptoms cold of her next migraine. Now, they share the good news with others.

I don't know why this would work, but it does.

I love Earth Clinic! My other favorite cure from here is the eggwhites for burns. It immediately stops the burn pain and prevents any scarring. Just do it right away and keep applying it.

I take ACV 2TBS in 8oz water taking sips all through the day. I was bloated all month and had water retention 10 days before my period. I was miserable i tried everything , diet change , pills homeopathic, and my husband is a physician and he gave all kind of medicines but still everything just could not solve my problem. i was annoyed all the time because i do not know what my exact size was and i was restless all the time , never comfortable, in sitting or lying down. Then looking for cure on internet in homeopathy somebody mentioned earth clinic, and i went to the site, and from that day my life changed. After reading about ACV I got up and mix one TS in one glass of water and without thinking i drank it . After 10 minutes my head suddenly clear and then my migraine was gone which I have been having for the last 10 years every week and i do not know how many pandols i have taken for that.----Well for the last 2 months, I am bloat free, water retention free, migraine free, and i am feeling comfortable for the first time in last 10 years. I have lost 10 pounds and I know my exact size now. Plus I had very bad dandruff and hair acne and twice a week I have been washing my hair with ACV and after two months I am free of dandruff and acne. There was no change initially except my migraine was gone but suddenly after one month before my periods i started noticing changes. No bloatedness and water retention and i had lost weight. I am thankful to all of u, whoever started this site. This has truly helped me. My doctor husband cannot believe it.

Just try it. Even if u don't see results initially it will show some benefits, later. I am hooked for life and i am giving it to my teenager son and daughter.

Denise,

The vitamin D and ALA are noted for helping with migraines in some people :

Here is a relevant quote :

' According to the current findings, vitamin D supplementation in episodic migraineurs, particularly in those with migraine with aura, may potentially improve migraine headache characteristics and disability probably through attenuating CGRP levels. '

Pencil Massage
Posted by Alelen (Poland) on 12/16/2018
★★★★★

With my migraine attacks, I managed to massage my head with a pencil or charcoal, made in a certain way:

First, massage the right half of the head, then the left. I never crossed the center line. I started from the base of the nose, eyebrow arch to my temple. I was returning to the root of my nose with the side of the central line of the forehead, towards the base of my hair and towards, behind my ear. I drove lightly along the lines, stopping for moments in the points where the light pressure brought relief. Then, circular movements on the skull, then sliding down the side of the cervical spine to the shoulder blade. On the shoulder blade, I made several times a fast sweeping motion from one blade to the other and only in this place I passed from right to left. And I started everything from the beginning this time, the left hemisphere.

If I did this massage, when the migraine started, it was enough once that the attack did not occur. When I let in a lot of pain, sometimes I had to repeat it all two or three times. I had terrible attacks of migraines, many years. When I started using my idea with a pencil, the attacks quieted down until they stopped. I have not had migraines since 2005.

I should not hide it for myself. Unfortunately, no one treats it seriously when hearing the word pencil. And this is about graphite (carbon variety), which I simply collect electrons from the surface of my head. The massage pencil should be blown, of course, but not sharp. Preferably HB.

Since I do not speak English and I use a Google translator, I apologize for any errors in the translation.

Celery juice has been a MIRACLE for me. JUST celery juice alone...no other fruit or veggies. Drink on an empty stomach is best but if you can't drink whenever. I had migraines for years and drinking celery juice every day - one cup - CURED them.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Posted by Barbara (Aiken, South Carolina) on 03/30/2017 23 posts

Update: I awoke with a migraine headache and tried two tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar by mouth first. Within about one and a half hours, the severity had been reduced from an 8 on a scale of 10 to about a 2. I must add that I also drank coffee, but I will be using the ACV first from now on.

Botox

All good advise from Ben, but back to the question of Borax. Yes, Borax is also effective against mycoplasma infections and a good first option before running for the few good Dr's that can do the service that was suggested by Ben.

I have only recently made major progress on a longstanding myco infection which was too severe for oral Borax administration, so I got smart and started whole body hot baths w/ about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of Borax. You may also consider making a paste of Borax and apply directly to the affected area, or make a simple Borax poultice.

Magnesium

Magnesium supplement taken daily will prevent migraines even when chronic lifelong recurrence has been the norm. In some cases, it also dramatically increases the ability to sleep soundly where this has been a concurrent issue though improved sleep is a benefit experienced by a minority of migraine sufferers using supplementary magnesium.

5-HTP
Posted by Melissa (Phoenix, Az) on 09/16/2014
★☆☆☆☆

WARNING!

I was super excited about taking 5-htp, as I use Imitrex and from what I read 5-htp seemed pretty much like a natural Imitrex. Imitrex imitates serotonin and basically alters the body's pain reception for migraines. (or something to that effect).

5-htp is a precursor to serotonin, which means your body will take 5-htp, convert it to serotonin and it in theory will act like Imitrex. Though that's where the awesomeness ended for me.

I have a few major warnings for anyone interested in 5-htp:

1) You cannot use it if you are pregnant

2) You cannot use it with many anti-depressants

3) You cannot use it within about 24 hours before or after you use Imitrex. Both anti-depressants that increase serotonin and Imitrex that imitates serotonin used with 5-htp that creates even more serotonin can cause a serotonin overdose and can be fatal.

4) I did more research on it and it turns out that 5-htp is a chemical by-product of L-tryptophan, which is responsible for making serotonin in our bodies. They used to sell tryptophan supplements but after many people started developing eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome, an incurable muscle and blood disease, from these supplements, as they were tainted, they banned the sale of tryptophan supplements in the US. (This happened mainly due to one large manufacturer going cheap, but who's to say this won't happen again with 5-htp??)

There have already been a few cases of eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome being caused by 5-htp supplements to date and that got me thinking: "Is taking this 5-htp to hopefully have a cheaper more 'natural' form of Imitrex worth it?" I decided it wasn't worth it.

I just want to warn those who are thinking about taking 5-htp that just because it's natural doesn't make it safer, and just because they sell it doesn't mean it's guaranteed safe. Supplements are not regulated by the FDA and only get any attention once a lot of people get sick from it. Use the information we are given to make the best decision for you. I ended up finding that Mint essential oil works really well for me and with no serious side effects. (or any at all for me)

I hope this helps someone, it would have been nice to have this all written for me when I was researching it. :)

I often get week long headaches during my menstrual cycle. This time, over the counter pain relief was not really working. After reading EC, I decided to try magnesium for relief. The magnesium did not work at all so I decided to try liquid b complex. I took one dose and nothing happened. Then, I took another dose and the headache was instantly gone. I decided to double the dose every day for the week and I felt GREAT!!! For anyone suffering from migraine type monthly headaches, please give this a try. I think the liquid supplement was able to be absorbed much faster than the pill form. Thank you EC!!!

It sounds like you might have tyramine-triggered migraines, rather than simply a gluten/casein sensitivity. Check out the list of foods that contain tyramine. Glad the 5-HTP is working. I'm looking for something to help my aunt, who suffers from migraines probably due to tyramine.

I have also found Feverfew exceptional for migraines.

I suffered from migraines before low air pressures, when going in the sun for too long and sometimes could be in bed for two or three days. Once I started taking feverfew on a regular basis the migraines left for ever. I don't need to take it these days, I sometimes get some of the migraine symptoms but not the blinding pain.
