mite infestation: 1/16 to 1/8 teaspoon tannic acid (see below)

in water, internally 3 to 4 times a day. Reduced itch from mite infestation.Make sure to add 3-4 drops mag oil to prevent constipation. I have not slept or been able to function since this started over a year ago. While reading an old post of Ted's 3 nights ago, he said you can spray this to dry up eggs and mites, its not good for spraying due to staining. I started taking internally. The itch has stopped, I am on my third day and am able to sleep longer, think straighter. I am the only person in my household of 5 people that is having problem, along with 2 of our 3 dogs. (I believe due to, I am the only person with metal fillings in teeth.Ted mentioned somewhere metal can create an attraction for mites.)

Other things that work:Ted's borax edta peroxide formula. Diatomaceous earth on grass in yard. ( Dogs kept reinfesting from yard, I just figured this out.)

Most important step in my opinion, keeping ceilings sprayed with borax, edta, peroxide formula. Use garden 1 gallon sprayer. I had gotten rid of this twice in house and on dogs, using his method, just couldn't get yard done well enough. Thats when I realized missing component of DE. MY favorite way to reduce tannic acid for use in dropper rather than as a powder, my recipe(Tony Panteleresco's actually.)3 teaspoons tannic acid powder in about 8 oz. to 12 oz. of white wine or brandy blend 10 minutes in (osterizer blender) on med to high for 10 minutes . Strain into jar thru clean hankerchief, use 10 to 20 drops in 1/2 glass of water with 2-3 drops mag oil. Drink 3-4 times a day.

I have been suffering for a year now, but am finally getting better. I am the only one with this problem in my entire house, and some think I'm crazy because I'm explaining problems cause by "invisible" bugs--and being a teenager doesn't help with that situation either, since adults don't really believe us. I got the problem when we moved into a new house that had dogs, and the problem was only in my room's carpet and I unknowingly spread it to my bed after doing situps. After 11 months of suffering, I finally realized I needed to go online to get rid of these white mites. And I found the cures!!! Here's what I have been doing:

Buy Kleen Green. This is 75 dollars from amazon but is concentrated and lasts a very long time because you have to mix it with water in a spray bottle. It comes with instructions as well. Spray everything with this, even your body! It is chemical free and has not hurt my teenage skin at all! Take a hot 30 min bath with 4 ounces of it and soak your entire scalp too. Stay in for 30 min. You can also spray this on body and scalp at any time of the day and not have to wash your hair after. It is just made of enzymes and smells like kid bubble soap. Spray everything, even carpet, and wipe or vacuum. Do this for your car too if needed. I have read that a substitute for this is the BLUE dawn soap, and am gonna try that too for my scalp, since that is the last site of problem for me. Also, wear clothes once and use towels only once or twice. IMPORTANT IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP AGAIN: Put all bedding in dryer for 30 min, even PILLOWS. Do this ENTIRE cleaning process for at least three weeks in order to break their life cycle.

Drink a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a teaspoon of baking soda all mixed in water every other or every day to cleanse your insides.

I had felt very alone and scared through this fight, I even had slight thoughts of suicide sometimes. But I always tried to stay positive in order to maintain my happiness and higher than a 4.0 GPA. And now I can see an even greater future for myself! Now I don't have to worry about spreading this to my possible future college dorm either. Just have persistence and perseverance, even if people think you're crazy. If you stay positive, and do this process CORRECTLY AND THOROUGHLY, then you will get your life back. I promise. <3

Please talk to me! I will comment back and we can help each other! You are not alone!

Stay happy and positive,
A friend :)

Horrible Biting Mites

About 2 years of my life was wasted and spent on getting rid of these horrible bugs. Doctors didn't believe me. I literally became a hermit and hardly went out as I was afraid I'd infect someone. At night I could feel bugs crawling inside my ears, nose, in my eyes, genitals, butt, and on all over my skin. During the day I could feel pinprick bites. Sometimes I'd see a white fly going through the air (other people have described the same thing), whilst inside my home or inside my car and yes they do communicate with each other these bugs. What worked for me and finally cured me, I found here on your website. This site is a true god send, and all of you I sincerely appreciate your help. What worked for me, was bathing in peppermint soap everyday, putting almond oil in my hair and scalp and leaving on a long time. I would also put an equal mixture of clove oil and almond oil on my hair and skin and left it on awhile. I also started drinking 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in an 8 oz glass of water at night. Also, eating garlic regularly.. lightly sauteed and sometimes a raw piece. My mattress was replaced, I discarded most of my clothes, my car, and living like a hermit for almost 2 years. DO NOT GIVE UP THE FIGHT! I don't have a husband and kids so I fought this battle alone for a long time and was afraid. If you don't get rid of the bugs from your clothing and environment you will battle the bugs indefinitely. Treat your environment and yourself then you can be on your way to a cure. Goodluck!

Try the following, nothing else worked in my experience, but this worked:

1) 100% tea tree oil
2) 100% alcohol Buy large quantities. Mix the two; apply to every itch. Apply to eyebrows and eyelashes, but be especially careful using alcohol near your eyes!
3) Neem oil. Add some to bath ; it will bring them out of the hair follicles. Don't bathe before bed, because all the young ones will come out and start to itch, so you need a couple of hours to treat them. Adding nice smelling essential oils will help neutralise the bad odour of the neem oil . Submerge head fully.
4) Bleach Add a few capfuls to bath for immediate relief, but not to be used more than once every few days. Wash your clothes and bedding every day.

If you're reading this, you're probably going through hell. I feel for you. Doctors probably won't help, so don't waste your time. It took me months to work this out, but trust me, this should help you get your life back. Good luck :)

Dear fellow sufferers,

l still can't believe it, but l am sitting here with no itches. I lucked onto this radio broadcast online of a woman who cured herself of Morgellons, caught after her daughter rescued a wild bird. She suffered thru over $10,000 of medications and stated her docs were at their wit's ends with her. Thru her medical contacts, she was given a remedy for infectious disease from an aromatherapy practitioner. She took it for a long time because she didn't know to kill the mites in her environment. It worked, because she kept taking it until she no longer had any itches or sores show up. One marvelous thing is that after only the first day of treatment, wonderful healing occurs. This is the remedy to take: essential oils from the health food store.

clove oil, cinnamon cassia (bark) oil, oregano oil, lemon oil, red thyme oil, and rosemary oil.

Use 5 drops of each oil in just a little water, take it 3 times a day.

Even the first night after l did the treatment, l had only taken 2 doses, but l sat there and suddenly realized all my itching had ceased. It was a warm night, l had been exposed to a large bunch of them, but -total calm.

If you want to hear the interview, look up horokane interview on Morgellons. By the way, l took this after a meal, as clove oil is strong, but l did not get an upset stomach, in fact, the opposite occurred. Best wishes.

When I was working in a southern state 10 years ago, I got bird mites on my skin and it took a couple years to get them off my body because I had no idea what was happening to me and what to do about it. I thought that I would never again get these terrible mites on me!

Late last fall, our outside cat brought a dead pigeon into the one area of the house where he was allowed, which was separated by a screen door leading into our living quarters. Our indoor cat liked the outside cat and would sit near the bottom screen of the door on the other side watching him. She was not allowed in the same room with our outside cat. I wrapped the pigeon into the rug and discarded it into a large white garbage bag outside. We found a new home for our outside cat before winter set in late last fall.

Then, late last year, our indoor cat started running around the house, biting and pulling fur out of her skin. She would do this early mornings and late nights. I suspected mites, but was not absolutely sure. I also started to allow her to sit on my lap, which was not wise. When she expelled soft vomit with many tiny eggs in it, during the month of February, I suspected mites--probably got them from our outside cat since she sat at the screen door when he was in the mud room watching him. We took her to the vet but forgot the stool specimen and the vet treated her for tapeworms. But we watched her stools after that treatment and she did not expell tapeworms. We were told that cats do not get mites in this dry climate. How wrong they are! My doctor told me that I had scabies and I told him I did not have scabies because if I had scabies, why were they also in my head, my eyes, my ears, my nose and my mouth?

The next week, guess what? I got all this movement in my back and knew, without a doubt, that I had bird mites again. To make a long story short, I have had to deal with this situation for almost three months. I've tried many things, but I will share here what has been working for me in the last week to the point I feel almost free of them and believe that if I prevail, they will be gone soon!

1. We purchased a fogger on the internet with a gallon of cedar oil and fogged our cars and our home more than once. This product really killed them dead!

2. I purchased sulfur and added one t. To 4 ounces of Vaseoline Intensive Lotion for dry skin. It helped eliminate many of the mites, but I use only occasionally now because it dries my skin out badly.

3. Starting this past Sunday, I have taken a sauna every day and will continue the saunas for another two weeks. I take a 20-30 minute sauna, temperature 160-180 degrees. Then I rest outside the sauna for 20-30 minutes, drinking water, and taking a cool shower. I go back into the shower after the 20-30 minutes outside of it and go again for another 20-30 minutes. I feel like I no longer have the mites in my skin, and the sauna has greatly strengthened my immune system.

5. I realized since this came on me in February, that my body probably was acidic due to my faulty lifestyle. I started to walk daily in the sunshine and fresh air, got my 7-8 hours of sleep per night (I will explain how I finally was able to sleep peacefully. ), and started increasing my food intake to an alkaline diet. Now my pH is averaging 7. 3 and higher any time I take it throughout the day.

4. The reason I was having problems sleeping was because I worried that they would bite me all over my body and I'd have more eggs to deal with. Then I purchased some diatomaccous earth from a company that uses. 5 percent silica in their DE. I used it as powder, carefully putting it on my body every night in the tub that has sliding glass doors. It makes less of a mess doing it this way. Before I go into the shower, I put down paper towels the full length of the tub. Then I step into the tub, leaving my thongs on the outside of it. I use a large cinnamon container with holes on the top and when I turn it over in my hand to get the "powder" out, I cup the container in my hand and shake my hand, not the container, to avoid the powder going into the air. Then I start at my feet and carefully hand powder from feet up, of course, tipping the powder container over and over. I put it on my scalp and put a shower cap on my head. I should mention that I use Jan's (I believe her name is Jan) mixture with 2 oz. Coconut oil, 2 oz. Collodial silver (minimum 50 ppm) but mine is 250 ppm, so I use one ounce of my collodial silver and one ounce of water, making it 125 ppm, 1 oz. Red liquid liniment, 1/2 vitamin E oil, 1/2 t. Of MSM and 1/2t of clove oil which is mixed up in an 8 ounce container. I put this all over my body and let it soak into my skin before adding diatomaccous earth each evening. This leaves my skin soft and not dry in the morning when I shower after having used the diatomaccous earth the night before. I re-oil my skin with Jan's Remedy after showering in the morning. The neat thing about using the diatomaccous earth is that I take this powder container to bed with me and when I feel one crawling somewhere on my body, I put a little in my hand and place it on top of where I felt the movement--the movement ends. Most of the time I do nothing, I feel them and suddenly I do not feel them--they are dead! I don't know if DE should be used this way, but it works for me. This is food grade DE with. 5% silica which makes it safe for breathing. I still wear a mask to protect my lungs, but there is very little in the air using the bathtub with sliding doors like I do.

If I could find something else other than the use of DE to cover my body at night while I sleep peacefully--and I do sleep peacefully and there are no added bites anywhere on my body in the morning--I would use it. But I have not found anything yet.

I am going to try mustard when my mustard order arrives in a few days. Tomorrow I am going to make a spray with peroxide, borax in a 8 oz. Garden sprayer, adding one tablespoon of Milk of Magnesia since the Milk of M. Is highly alkaline to see if this helps as I read on earthclinic. com 07/16/10 by Bill from San Fernando.

I hope some of this will help someone else out there. I find this situation very discouraging, but now I am highly hopeful because the saunas has especially helped rid my body of them.

Demodex mites infested my cat a couple of years ago, and I can tell you that I now have a success story. Thank you for all your posts. I tried, garlic, tea tree oil, H2o2 (food grade hydrogen peroxide), coconut oil, colostrum supplements, diatomaceous earth, borax baths, and on and on. Finally, I made a magic combination. I got the idea here! So here is the recipe. (He wears a cone on his head to prevent him from licking it all off) Put the cone on first!

2 oz or 60 mls warmed coconut oil. 1 oz or 30 mls food grade hydrogen peroxide reduced to 3% strength. 1 tsp dry mustard powder. 8 drops tea tree oil. 1 oz or 30 mls raw apple cider vinegar. I put it in a plastic bottle with a small opening (like from hair dying) warmed it to body temp. To keep the oil liquid, I shook it up, wore latex painter gloves, and massaged it in a little at a time. He liked the warm massage, and really didn't know I was soaking him until it was too late!

I first changed his bedding, and sprayed it with H2o2 and apple cider vinegar and let it dry. I did this because I was unable to actually get this solution everywhere on him (tummy and anus, tail etc. ) so I thought having it in the bedding would help.

I began feeding him about a teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar in 1 tablespoon soft cat food mixed with 1/2 tsp. of powdered colostrum each day. I combed him everyday to keep his skin kind of groomed. I put this solution on each week, 2 times, because the recipe above made enough for 2 applications. He hated the cone and retreated into the back of the closet for a month, only come out when I pulled him out for food or combing or treatment. I kept changing his bedding. His hair began to grow back where he had previously lost it, he gradually stopped scratching so much he made himself bleed. After 4 weeks, I took his cone off, and he has now been cleaning and cleaning because his skin went kind of scaly. I still feed him the 1 tsp. ACV everyday in his food. The mites are finally gone. He looks great! I'm going to give most of the credit to ACV and some credit to the dried mustard. This magic combination worked!

One more note, (cause it's the little things that trip you up), get a large, rather than small cone. Put their food and water in a bucket that the cone fits over, and fill it to the top so they can reach to eat properly. Vacuum and spray ACV anywhere the cat frequents. Always wash your hands with soap and water after you touch your cat. I got the mites on my face beside my nose and had to use the same recipe on me!

First and foremost, I want to give thanks to Jehovah God for all things are possible through him.

I recently came down with an infestation of mites. I only discovered this after starting to feel like I was getting pelted by sand like specs on on my feet and legs in my home. Thought it was spring tails or bird mites or Morgellons. Regardless, I was itchy all over and felt crawling sensations from head to toe.

I scared myself half to death reading all the horror stories on the internet. The advice was trash your stuff and move! That is not the solution. Then I sprinkled Diatomaceous Earth over everything. Another bad move... It just made cleaning up everything twice as hard.

I started praying and found this site. Then it dawned on me that mites are everywhere, including on me. I can bomb everything, steam and clean 24 hours a day, trash everything and move 25 times and I still have the mites in my skin and hair. Once I realized that it more than an environmental issue (that bombing my house would not solve), or a pet issue (I have 3 dogs and read how people got rid of their pets or put them to sleep) I said a prayer and got a grip. I can encounter these mites anywhere. Pathogens like, germs, bacteria and viruses are in and on EVERYTHING. Our bodies constantly fight these invaders, the HEALTHIER our immune systems the more transparent the fight is. I had been neglecting myself and my health, so my immune system is compromised. So this was just the latest symptom in a long line of symptoms that I didn't address holistically. Just another sign that my body is out of balance. I encourage anyone going through this, to calm down and take charge of your internal and external health.

As I prayed for a cure and answers, I kept thinking - mankind has dealt with these things for a bazillion years. If they didn't get a handle on it - they would have all killed themselves a long time ago (from the agony) - but we are still here! So the answer is to go OLD SCHOOL on these parasites.

I took bentonite clay, mixed in borax and added a couple of tablespoons of bleach (I didn't worry about exact measurements). I added water to get less clumpy and got in the shower and started to scrub myself with it. I sat on the edge of the tub and took time to massage it into every part of my body. As I began massaging, hard black specks came up to the surface ALL OVER MY BODY. It was disgusting! Massaged more. By the time I was finished and rinsed off my skin was as soft as a baby's behind. I then took a herbal oil, I got in the discount store, that I had added Tree Tea Oil, Oregano Oil and Clove Oil and oiled myself down; really massaged the oil in and took my time. A few more specs came up; some white, some black. For the 1st time in many nights I sleep more than 3 hours.

The next day after I washed my hair, I put bentonite clay, borax and bleach in my hair as a mask and left it for 24 hours (used a plastic cap). My scalp stopped the crazy itchiness. Once in a while a spot would itch and I would just massage that spot on my scalp. The next day I rinsed my hair with Apple cider vinegar (ACV) that I left in. Then I oiled my hair with Sulfur 8 with clove, tree and oregano oils added in. My scalp stopped itching but my hairline, face and neck itched like crazy. So I soaked my face and neck with ACV and covered it with Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) and Tree Tea Oil. Eventually the itching stopped. I also put VCO on my scalp.

The next night I scrubbed down with the clay mixture again and saw less mites come up to the surface then the night before. I have started drinking ACV and Betonite Clay and Grapefruit Seed oil. Drinking a lot of distilled or filter water. Brought cheap sheets and blankets (light or white colored) and change daily. Vacuum everyday. Change clothes daily. Steam floors every couple of days. On a personal note, I was washing everything daily and decided this was MADNESS. Just because I washed it, didn't mean it was going to stay free of these mites. As soon as I touched it, there is a chance I contaminated the clean laundry again, open the bag to remove clothes - contaminated. I can't keep mites or other pathogens off my stuff just like I can't keep germs, viruses or bacteria off me or my environment. I can cleanse my system and make it healthier so these things would no longer bother me. Trying to make my environment mite free was a fruitless pursuit. I was stressing myself out and making myself crazy and compromising my immune system further. Now I am focusing on cleaning and making my environment healthy and getting rid of clutter. This has been a wake up call - I got careless with my health. The allergies, rashes, etc. Were all symptoms that I masked with medications while not dealing with the real issue, my body was sick.

I have a large rash on my forearms, going to put the clay mixture on them and wrap with plastic wrap. Maybe sleep with a clay mask on my face. Have realized that anyplace I have a zit or dark pores needs to be treated with clay. Itchiness picked up this afternoon, wiped down with Apple Cider Vinegar and oiled down with VCO.

Have the dogs on ACV, DE and black walnut to cleanse their systems. Everyone is on probiotics and Wheat Grass to rebuild. Spray them down with ACV daily. So glad I did not come to the point of giving away my pets or putting them to sleep - unnecessary like throwing the baby out with the bath water. Just gave a doggie a clay bath tonight and saw the mites come off her too - will do the other two tomorrow.

Plan on buying a zapper, colloidal silver maker and uv air purifier. Will zapp to kill them in me and my pets and drink and spray colloidal silver around to kill mites. Including Greek yogurt mixed with extra probiotics daily. Eating macrobiotic and whole foods, no more soda, mickey D's or fried chicken for me.

Through all of this, I am grateful. I have been provided an opportunity to intensely work on my health, pets and environment. It will not be done in one day or 30 days. It is a process and I thank God for sites like this and all his great blessings that are carrying me through this. God is Great. The key for me is to live more conscientiously and holistically. Trust in Jehovah God and all him to guide your through this process. Peace, optimal health and blessings to all.

Looking forward to your suggestions.

Mite treatment Sept. 2011

This treatment along with daily washing of clothing and bedding, vacuuming, will go a long way to help promoto a cautiously optimistic feeling.

Morning and evening use a toothbrush and scrub the area 2 to 3 inches around the punctures with a solution of Dawn Dish soap. This will reveal many more punctures than you can otherwise see.

Soak in a bath of apple cider vinegar and epsom salts.

Brush the skin with a soft brush -whole body while in the tub. Pat dry

Treat punctures with Ox-e Drops ( Nyzme. com) or bleach solution ( 1 part bleach to 10 parts water.)

Apply Black Walnut tincture on a Q-tip to punctures and surrounding area. ( an anti parasite) dry skin with hair dryer.

Apply cortizone cream, or healing ointment, zinc ointment etc. Dust skin with Gold Bond powder.

Internally, take 5 drops of Black Walnut tincture in water three times a day. also 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar with maple syrup in glass of water twice daily.

Bentonite, 1 tablespoon in water will assist intestinal track to cleanse. (from health food store)

Have used this treatment successfully.

Picked up the mite in California somehow?

About a week ago this last Monday was one week that I started itching and getting bites from "something" that I couldn't see. I started researching what could be biting me and I came to the conclusion that "bird mites" could be what was biting me. We have had squirrels living in our attic and we have had such a hard time getting rid of them. I saw one of the squirrels hanging out on my backyard and he was scratching the whole time. It then occurred to me that indeed it had to be rat/squirrel mites seeing as that that are the same thing but one has a fuzzy tail. Regardless as to which one it is, it is horrible. The itching and the scratching. I put everything in bags and I then washed a portion of clothes that we would wear and kept it in a suitcase. I then proceeded to buy neem oil, tea tree oil, borax, windex, disinfectant spray, turmeric powder. I know quite an arsenal. I applied all of these. Let me explain.

1. Take a shower with tea tree soap (nightly)
2. Wash hair with tea tree shampoo/conditioner(nightly)
3. Dry body with paper towels (keeps washing minimal)
4. Mix borax/hydrogen peroxide/water. Make into a paste and apply to bites. After you apply the paste cover with a small piece of cotton ball and cover with a piece of surgical tape. This will keep you from scratching and will keep you from itching. Plus, I noticed that since I started doing this to some of the newest bites, the ones i covered did not scar nor left a dark spot. Do this every night till all itching goes away.
5. I also take neem and turmeric capsules(once a day) that you can purchase at your local vitamin shop.
6. Washed all washables in borax and boiling water put in dryer and run 2 times.
7. You can put some cloths in a paper sack and staple and put in your oven on 200 degrees for 20 minutes. This will kill them.
8. Sprayed windex window cleaner on carpets and cloth furniture every night before going to bed.
9. Spray disinfectant spray on sheets, pillows, and blanket before you go to bed. I usually do this right before I take my shower.

This is day 2 with no more bites. I am thrilled and I hope that they are gone and never come back. Keeping fingers crossed.

I just hope that this helps anyone out there. Please don't wait. As soon as you get bites and there are no mosquitos, no flies, no fleas than assume they are some kind of mite and fight them head on. Wait and see mentality will just give them time to get very strong. Good luck!
