For me:
I mix 4 drops of 35% food grade h202 as in DROPS (not droppers full) in 16 fl oz bottle of filtered water. OR 2 drops of 35% Food grade h202 in 8 fl.oz glass bottle. (pre-mixed) If I feel it is too strong, i just dilute it with more water.
I shake the bottle before i drink it. I also use the (pre-mixed h202 that I made) with my Hydro Grossan sinus/nasal rinse. I usually out 2 tablespoon of my pre-mixed h202 into the water container, and fill the rest with filtered water and salt. I stir the water content and close the lid. I start rinsing my nose with it twice per day.
When I first started out - my nose was totally blocked in one side, constant post nasal drip, could not eat anything without having allergies. I went to doctors and had all kinds of antibiotics and even anti fungal for my candida - nothing worked. I would have phlegm everytime i ate something until I went on strict diet. Even with strict diet, I would still have constant hacking out of plegm after my salads.
One day, I just went on clear broth diet boiling (Chicken bones with filtered water and vegetables(any -but no carrot due to sugar content) and drinking it for every meal. I eat nothing else. This is to help me keep my symptoms down while i do my h202 treatment and let it work. I drank my 2 of my pre-mixed 16 fl. oz of h202 throughout the day (I continue to drink water in between at least 6 cups). I rinsed my nose and throat with the premixed h202 with salt 3 times each nose every 3 hours for the 1st day. The second day, I rinse my nose only twice a day - 3 times each side.I figured that if there is something in my sinus so deep and stubborn, I have to be more aggressive or stubborn than the bug to get rid of it. I was right!
You should have seen the gunk that came out of me. At first it felt uncomfortable, alot of mucus came out through my nose and mouth continuously, i let it come out for 2-3 days whenever it feels like coming out. The 4th day, my post nasal drip lessen considerably and my cough stopped. Amazing! I kept on doing the nose and throat rinse daily (twice a day- once in the morning, once before i sleep) and drinking at least a bottle 8fl oz. of my own pre-mixed h202 daily and now I am back to normal!! I have so much energy to do the things i want to do.

Google "potassium iodide" and look through references until you find one mentioning Tahoma Clinic. Pull this one up to read Dr. Jonathan Wright's article about SSKI (saturated solution of potassium iodide).
Since it has many different uses (including one that Dr. Wright didn't mention of using 2 drops of SSKI or Lugol's solution daily to aid your stomach in producing hydrochloric acid to digest your food), I suggest that you print this article to keep on hand for ready reference. I found it to be quite useful in liquefying secretions in the lungs and head to aid in getting them out more easily.
Also, please remember to not dilute your Lugol's or SSKI in chlorinated water to avoid the chemical reaction converting your potassium iodide back into iodine!
Now because I am suffering from enough mucus for 3 people and was delighted to this post from Liz in Australia quoting Bill's comment on using sea salt but still no exact amounts of salt, water,? (anything else) please let me know some better amounts, afraid to take too much of sea salt, HP, cancer, Heart failure, to deal with. Thank you and God Bless this post.

Plenty of water with lemon and vinegar upon arising, plus drinking your 1/2 of water per pound body weight, will help a lot. Water thins out the mucus. The cinnamon/turmeric/garlic/cayenne pepper/apple cider vinegar, as described in the above posts, is great. Cut out sugar, and eat it only in natural form. Dairy is mucus forming. It's also full of natural hormones, fit for baby cows only. We do not need dairy.

In my experience high levels of histamine are possibly involved, which can cause irritation and inflammation. Abnormal gut flora can cause excessive histamine. If you goggle histamine you can see the disruption it can cause. Some foods block the enzyme that breaks it down and others can cause you to produce more. It is a very interesting subject. I am having some success at last. The foggy feeling is gone, as is the blurred vision. The mucus is clearing and my throat is no longer sore. It is early days. We have the news briefs about the fire in 1987 but the memories are fresh when I look at the tape. Some things are better left alone. Our loved ones are not here anymore and we have to get on with life with the hopes we will be reunited. It really depends on how deep-seated the phlegm is in your lungs. I had similar problems after covid-19, but my phlegm always gathered in my throat and bronchial area, which I was always clearing. To waste no time, I will immediately describe what helped to resolve my own phlegm predicament that was so similar to yours.
The first thing that I would recommend is Ted from Bangkok's old remedy for reducing phlegm in the chest/throat regions. This is a simple but effective remedy: Every morning, on an empty stomach, you should supplement a half teaspoon of sea salt in a glass of water then immediately drink another glass of water afterwards. The extra salt in the blood will automatically act to pull out and reduce any excess liquid phlegm from the nasal passages, from the throat/bronchials region and form the intestines.
The second worthwhile protocol that I would suggest for you is that you buy a standard nebulizer(not the small hand held type -- the larger one with a proper nose/mouth mask) and just nebulize a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution for 15 to 20 minutes twice a day. I normally just use a proper portable medical nebulizer and I use store bought 3% hydrogen peroxide(HP) but would not recommend that you use 3% HP strength since some people can be sensitive to nebulizing 3% hydrogen peroxide right off the bat. Using the proper medical nebulizer with a full mask is a must and is particularly useful because not only will it help disinfect the lungs and nasal passages but it will also kill any bacteria/fungi/viruses that tend to hide or breed in the large nasopharanx cavity(NPC) area that is situated directly behind the nose, thereby causing a build up of phlegm in the NPC which, I have found, always constantly drips that mucus from the upper NPC region onto the throat and bronchial regions(especially at night! ), thus causing continual clearance problems. I found that using a nebulizer with hydrogen peroxide was the most effective for disinfecting ALL affected regions, including the lungs, throat, nose and NPC. After all, if all these regions continually contain excess mucus, this, perhaps, would indicate an untreated and infected region that definitely needs disinfection and clearance.
You could also perhaps use a simple neti pot with 1% saline to help clear the nose and nasopharanx regions of phlegm.
And, particularly for the lungs, I would supplement all the B vitamins and supplement regular daily doses of N-Acetylcysteine(600 mg twice a day), Selenium(200 mcg once or twice a day) and Resveratrol(500mg twice a day) -- always taken at mealtimes.

I suffer with EXCESSIVE mucus/phlegm and have tried everything under the heavens, including AVC (which helps some); however, I expel huge wads of mucus (sorry to be so graphic, but it's horrible) upon waking every morning without fail and it drains and collects from my right mucus cavity and can continue for HOURS...and that's no exaggeration! Please confirm if the "sea salt" is to be taken with or without water. How much water is recommended and what time of day is best? I'm really desperate for ways to help myself return to a life without CHRONIC mucus.
P.S. I've recently eliminated breads, pastas, tomatoes, breads, dairy and cut back on white sugar.

Less acid in your stomach can lead to malabsorbtion of nutrients -this is the reason for your symptoms. Same can happen if you don't have enough bile or pancreatic enzymes.
Read about Calamus root and also Swedish Bitter.
For the pancreas a juice of papaya and aloe in equal parts will help to reduce inflamation (1/3 cup of each 3 times daily)
For intestinal polyps, Horse tail is a good herb.

However what I have seen - and this was while fasting (no use of bentonite or any thing else - nil by mouth apart from water)... I was doing an enema with salted water and apple cider vinegar... I think it was day 4 of a fast and I was feeling lousy, weak nauseous, toxic, aching back.
And these snakeskin like things exploded out of me. Weird looking. I investigated and they were mucus tubes, not skin - about 5cm long, each of them. So I'm assuming they were thick layers of hardened mucus that lined my intestines.
I am extremely toxic, sorry to say. I am assuming that candida or other pathogens had been hiding inside / behind this layer. I had to rest for a couple of hours after this expulsion... felt very tired.
So... my answer is yes and no to mucoid plaque. Definitely biofilms build up if you've been sick a long time then nasties have got a hold of parts of your body - the intestines being a nice hidie hole for them. And these are the sources for focal infections - repeated infections that get you when you are down. To recover fully, your body has to root out these axes of evil and destroy them. So you will feel sick probably each time while the immune system is trying to nuke them.
But I don't think the lurid pictures you see on the net are necessarily mucoid plaque.... I think that's the sensationalist tabloid version of the story.

In regard to the mucous problem, I have recently come across some information about how the correct bacteria in the mouth can keep the mouth, throat, sinuses and ears healthy by taking up the space formerly occupied by bad bacteria. Some probiotic supplements containing the common L.Salivarius, also contain BLIS K12 and BLIS M18 that supposedly act like a natural antibiotic by replacing the bad bacteria. Supposedly also helps with bad breath. Makes sense, since many with these problems have excellent oral health routines and yet these problems persist. They come in lozenges and gum. I'm sorry I haven't commented sooner but your post sparked a memory and I've been exploring your issue, looking for the safest, most effective way to treat it and believe your best and safest bet is Barbara O'Neill's chopped onion on the bottom of your feet.
I say safest because it won't matter what else you've been doing, taking or trying, it's reported to have immediate respiratory effect and you don't need to know the cause.
Here is one of her videos about it.
Don't leave the chopped onion laying about for long as, apparently, it will collect surrounding germs. Whatever you don't use, put in a jar or glass and cover with honey. Cover the jar/glass and let set for a day, strain out the onion and you'll have an excellent respiratory/cough syrup that will keep for a very long time.
