Norovirus seems to be on the rise in the US and Europe. This virus seems to spread very easily through multiple methods such as food, cooking surfaces and human contact. This stomach virus for some is over in as little as three days, but in people aged 65 or older it has caused death. There currently is no specific treatment for Norovirus and antibiotics offer no benefit given that the pathogen is a virus. It would be useful to have some plan, especially for senior citizens that can help fight the virus. Obviously Colloidal Silver Nanoparticles would be a useful choice because of its very broad spectrum antiviral properties and its ability to engage directly with the virus in the stomach/gut, but there are other antiviral supplements that are likely to be helpful also.

Oregano Essential Oil (OEO) which can be purchased in soft gels that are easy to swallow and also a very potent antiviral and have shown the ability to kill human norovirus surrogates and is a very easy delivery method of a form of the oil that you know is designed for oral use by humans. Lemon Grass Essential Oil (LGEO) also has shown similar results. Garlic is another broad spectrum highly potent antiviral. Green Tea Extract (GTE) has also shown such activity. Olive Leaf Extract (OLE) is another potent antiviral, but I seem to be very reactive to it, so avoid it. Having a handful of highly potent antivirals to choose from is likely to be very helpful in trying to stop a norovirus encounter as quickly as possible.

1. Colloidal Silver Nanoparticles Liquid
2. Oregano Essential Oil Soft Gels
3. Lemon Grass Essential Oil
4. Fresh Garlic
5. Green Tea Extract Capsules
6. Olive Leaf Extract Capsules

Lastly, Ginger, also available in capsules may be a useful adjunctive to the above for the purpose of calming the digestive system against nausea and vomiting which are common norovirus symptoms. From the above list, #1 and #2 would be my choices for their ease of use and availability. I usually have both on hand at all times.
