This is the most extraordinary thing I've encountered (and I'm already familiar with many complemetary therapies) I've had a very severe sinus infection for over 5 weeks, which has not responded to 5 different antibiotics. It started when my daughter had Whooping Cough, so I thought it had been caused by the pertussis bacteria. I now realise from your website that it was due to ice cream, which I don't normally eat but was buying regularly for my daughter when she was sick (and eating loads myself!) I've just tried a strong solution of ACV in water and can breathe for the 1st time in weeks.I thought I was going to have to have surgery. The words thank you have never seemed so inadequate (especially as so many sites are just out to sell you their cures not just share them as you do).

I want to comment on the " ice cream causes sinus infection" statements. I have not had any dairy of any kind in over 20 years. No white sugar, no soda pops or any junk food for 20 years. I have, most of the time, sinus infections.Yes, dairy does cause sinus infections- I know it always did for the first 20 years of my life. But something else is causing it in me now and it is not food.

Wow, 6 hours after eating half a cup of a Dairy Queen Snickers Blizzard, I had the beginnings of a sinus infection that lasted 6 days.

Believe it or not... yesterday I had a vanilla/chocolate dipped cone from Dairy Queen. Today, I'm miserable!! Sinus headache, post nasal drip... scratchy throat etc. I even went out and bought a cool mist humidifier. Out of desperation for what I feel lies close ahead, I decided to search the web for home remedies before heading for bed (to wrestle the body aches). Thankful to have found your site. Tomorrow, apple cider vinegar, here I come!!!

Wow, I couldn't believe what I read about the ice cream. I've had ice cream several times in the last week, and I have also incurred a sinus infection. That's the reason I was searching the web for remedies!

I was amazed, but not surprised to read about others who suffer flu-like symptoms after eating ice cream. I usually get a headache and increased sinus pressure from any milk product but the last time I was really sick was when I had eaten a Blizzard from Dairy Queen. That has been several years ago but I haven't forgotten how sick I was for a week or so. Milk products, in general, do a number on me but ice cream is especially harmful.

I couldn't believe it when I read the ice cream correlation. I am temporarily living in Italy and I find that I also have the same sinus infection reaction after eating locally made Italian ice cream.

Ice cream must really have a link to sinus infections. Last night I went to Rafferties Bar and Grill. I ordered a Mudslide. Of course it has alcohol, but another ingredient was ice cream. This morning I woke up with a sinus infection from HELL! I can't shake it. I hope that Apple Cider Vinegar works. I have a date this weekend. I'll let everyone know the details, about the AVC of course

This is weird, but I had a shake from Baskin Robbins on Saturday night, and the next afternoon I started getting symptoms of a sinus infection. I ran a fever on Monday, and today I can hardly breathe.

I recently had a sinus infection/flu-like symptoms 24 hrs after going to Baskin Robbins. I shared a sundae with my boyfriend and we both didn't fill well the next day. I just seemed to feel worse and for several days. I'm going to definitely try the vinegar!!!

i've had the nastiest sinus infection for the last 4 days... so bad I haven't been able to get out of bed... and I couldn't figure out what brought this on... I have decided that it was a mudslide that I drank on tuesday night... Thank you for all the information to helping me understand how I got this infection.

Wanted to let you know I had a similar icecream/sinus infection incident. We rarely get ice cream, maybe twice a year or so tops. This time it was Dreyers Rocky Road and I came down with a sinus infection within 48 hours of eating a coffee cup full.

When I eat Baskin Robbins Jamoca Almond fudge I break out in a rash over most of my body, this is also accompanied with an itchy throat and ears. My sinus' get congested too. When I eat Breyers (all natural ice cream) I don't have this problem.

I had no idea these two things are linked, however I had Baskin Robbins ice cream yesterday morning and today I have a sinus infection. I am 29 years old and this is my third sinus infection of my life.
