Master Tonic
Posted by Lisa (Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa) on 11/19/2012
Hi Everyone, Since we are entering the holiday season and the season notoriously known for colds and flus, I thought I would put the recipe up for
The Master Tonic which is known to avert these nasty things. This tonic is extremely powerful because all the ingredients are fresh. Do not underestimate its power.
Master Tonic Ingredients:
1 part fresh chopped garlic cloves
1 part fresh chopped white onions
1 part fresh grated ginger root
1 part fresh grated horseradish root
1 part fresh chopped Cayenne peppers, Jalapenos, Serranos, Habeneros... any combination of the hottest peppers available.
Preparation:
Fill a jar 3/4 of the way full with equal parts of the above ingredients. Then fill to the top with raw apple cider vinegar. (Remember all ingredients need to be fresh and organic if possible.)
Close and shake vigorously and then top off with vinegar again if necessary.
This tonic will take approximately 14 days to come to its full potential. Shake it whenever you walk by or at least once a day!
Usage:
Strain liquid from solids with either cheesecloth or a strainer into an 8 oz. Glass. (Note: the solid ingredients retain almost the same potency as the liquid therefore, they can be pureed and used in salad dressings, as marinades, etc.)
Dosage:
1/2 to 1oz. , 2 or more times daily, gargle and swallow.
Storage:
Keep this tincture in a dark place as light will deteriorate it. You can put the jar in a brown paper bag for the brewing and shaking process. Tinctures last indefinitely while herbs lose their potency within a year. Also, tinctures enter the body in seconds.
Cheers everyone and stay healthy! Lisa

There seems to be a campaign to demonise foods these days, but I object! . What is causing our problems is more to do with what mankind has done to the original foods. Pastuerising milk has made it difficult to digest (damaged enzymes) and homogenising it has enabled the, now tiny, fat particles to enter the bloodstream without proper digestion. What we call wheat, has its own manmade problems. Of course the pesticides and herbicides on all non-organic foods do nothing for our health.

Serbian Recipe for Low Immunity

In most of the recipes on these pages you would have to guess the the measurements as people never remember to write this down or may have put it on a previous post and think we will remember. I'm guilty of doing this too. Curative recipes tend to be 1 or 2 tablespoons of acv. Maintenace recipes seem to be 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon depending on the ailment. Garlic will be as much as you can stomach without gagging. Remember that most of these recipes are non toxic so it would be hard to overdose. Again honey tends to be 1 to two teaspoons or to suit your taste and almost all the drinks remedies call for 8 oz water. At a guess this recipe calls for 1 or two tablespoons of acv, 1 clove of garlic, 1 teaspoon honey and 8 oz warm water. The clove of garlic would depend on size and strenght of odour and taste. More or less to suit. The honey could be increased for sweetness if you wanted to give it to a child.
This next bit answers another post from you too where you ask about giving these remedies to a child. My daughter is 4 and less than 3 stone in weight. I base this on Teds advice to use body weight as the divider. When giving her anything that I am taking myself I divide it by 1/3. In a drink recipe as above I would make as for an adult (water included) then tip 1/3 into a glass and fill again with more water. And give her as much as she will take. For vitamins, I try to buy in capsule form - open the capsule and tip up to 1/3 into her breakfast food or drink. this goes unnoticed by her. If it is a cooked breakfast I wait till it has cooled so as not to damage the actual vitamin through heat.I have put it on sandwiches when I forget to do it in the morning making sure it is well spread out. So as not to wastes the balance of the vitamin put the rest of the capsule/s on a spoon then lower into a heavy cup that won't be knocked over. Leave the capsule on the spoon in the cup for easy retrieval next day. And out of the way from little fingers. I'll post this to the other thread as welll to make sure you see it.

Micronized Beta Glucan, Moducare

After doing more research, here is more information on the subject. Here is a study Vaclav Vetvicka did comparing the various beta glucans.

Many people tout the Transfer Point Glucan 300 product because of this.
WebMD calls micron beta glucan bunk but that website has always had the lowest credibility from my perspective.
Transfer Point has a lot of positive reviews but so does micronized beta glucan have a lot of positive reviews and very few negative. If micron sized beta glucan did not have much validity, I doubt the product could have so few negative reviews.
Different types seem to work but we need to know which type (how processed) gives the most bang for the buck.
I think the best way to sort out all the different claims is to actually try different types of beta glucan and see if you can figure out which one gives you more bang for the buck.
Most people use it to avoid colds and flu. Others like me need it to help a constantly weakened immune system.

Hello EC family. I am looking to rebuild my immune system. I believe I will need to start this by getting my liver, colon and kidneys functioning properly.
My problem is the amount of time in the day, I have to take my main herbs and vitamins. Feel free to let me know of anything more important than my current list.
- lemon juice and 1/4 tsp baking soda / pinch of borax twice daily. (ph)
- natural laxative once daily (colon)
- Asparagus extract once daily (kidneys)
- milk thistle 100mg, dandelion root 1040mg, and essiac tea twice daily (liver)
- Olive leaf extract, Niacinamide at 1000mg twice daily ( kill off super bugs and viruses )
- Oil of Oregano 3000mg twice daily ( fungus )
- Bromelain 1000mg twice daily ( for Enzymes )
- Resveratrol 100mg twice daily ( anti oxidant )
- Probiotic 55Billion once daily ( rebuild good gut flora )
- MSN 1800mg and Vitamin C crystals 5000mg twice daily ( dissolve calcium shells and build up immune system )
- Chinese Chlorella 1000mg 3 times daily ( remove heavy metals )
The problem I have is spacing this out and being able to take at proper times. It is very hard to fit all this in. I also have to be sure not to take the probiotic of vitamin c to close to the baking soda and borax. The Essiac tea also has to be taken on an empty stomach.
I also try to oil pull first thing in morning and brush teeth with Ivory soap and one drop of clove oil. I add coconut oil to cooked foods as well.
Does anyone know of any other conflicts on taking the above other than what I have mentioned. Is there any I should not mix together is what I am asking.
My plans are to:
Oil pull/brush teeth first
Take Essiac tea wait 20 minutes then take dandelion and milk thistle. Eat.
After that I am not sure how to fit the rest into my day.

Hi Bill. I just wanted to let you know, I have taken your advice and now am taken the Colostrum. There could be a very good chance that I do have leaky gut and I know this helps the leaking gut from the links you provided along with a lot of other stuff it helps. I had to make a order from a company that gives me the best deals, so I was ordering some other stuff and got a brand of Colostrum
that is 1000mg in two capsules (1g) (standardized to 200mg of IgG)
U.S. Grade A
raised without hormones, antibiotics or pesticides
certified kosher, halal, ISO colostrum.
I hope and pray it is as good as the one you recommended. It was normally higher in price than the one you recommended, but on the sale deal I got it about $13.00 a bottle cheaper. It says to take two capsules once or twice daily. I am taking two once daily just for two days so far.
Thank you again for the info and looking out for all of us here on EC.

Know this other piece of information.
How to Grow Moringa?
Moringa easily adapts and grows in moderate to tropical regions.
What we do to grow Moringa is (traditional method), Cut a stem of 1-2 metre length from an elder tree. Plant this stem on soil and apply COW DUNG on the top cut portion of the stem. New moringa tree will branch out in 2 - 3 weeks.
Recently, farmers use hybrid seeds that grows as a 2 meters tall moringa tree in 6 months. Only from this hybrid varieties you get the moringa leaf powder sold in north america.

Crystal, I beg to differ. It seems to me the body has it's cleaning system which we just have to keep running well. At a recent colonoscopy, they said they had rarely seen such clear intestines. And I never did a colonic etc. And I eat what I feel my body needs, with allowances for a cheat here and there on "junk". I guess in extreme illnesses, helping the body clean itself is called for, but I dunno about it's role in plain, healthy daily living.

Hi Lisa.... Thanks for your formula. I had ran across something similar to yours, but it didn't have the ginger or onions. OMGosh, the stench was so strong and I could only take it a couple of times because it was so hot. I ended up throwing mine out. It was that bad. Your formula sounds way better than mine. "))
My daughter gave me a recipe that she got from her friend that works at a garlic farm. I thought I would post it along with yours. You're suppose to take a tsp at a time.... I don't think it matters how often during the day. Mine is sitting on the counter "curing".
You fill a jar (mason, pickle jar, etc. ) 3/4 full of peeled garlic cloves (my salsa jar took 7 heads of garlic). Then fill half way with honey and the rest of the jar with clean water. Shake gently to mix. Put on lid and on counter for at least a week. Gently roll the jar top to bottom, bottom to top several times every couple of days. Garlic stays in the jar.

Hi Sue, Thanks for sharing your garlic/ honey recipe. I think I'll give that a go. Sounds easy enough and very effective. And just so you know, the Master Tonic recipe I gave is super hot too! I'm sure that's what makes it so effective! But one recommendation is to add it to something so it's getting into your body but not so intense. You could add it to soup broth. I make my own bone broth during the cold months which is recommended by Weston Price protocol. It's very healing and soothing to the stomach. I started doing that after I had my stem cell therapy to support it. Anyway, then you could add the master tonic to it and it would give it a zing! One other recommendation is, after swallowing it down, chase it with a bit of toast with honey on it. Maybe these tips might help so you don't have to throw it out again ;) Best to you, Lisa

After I read your post, I said to myself, "duh, Sue" lol. Thanks, Lisa, will give it another try. After posting the recipe, my daughter reread the instructions and told me that you only leave the garlic/honey on the counter for a couple of days, then put it in the refrigerator. You can leave it for up to a yr. And when you feel yourself "starting to come down with something", eat the garlic cloves along with the honey. We both had to throw our batches out because ours had sat out on the counter for a couple of weeks. They might have been fine, but I thought, wouldn't it be ironic something that was suppose to help us, might make us sick. Lesson learned. "))

Hi Sue, You're too funny! Well, I can easily eat the garlic cloves since I'm a big fan. I do have to say I got very carried away about a month ago. My husband and I went to one of our very favorite ramen houses where they will serve you a container of raw garlic cloves for free to add to your ramen if you wish. Of course, as usual, I asked for them. They also give you a garlic press with them. I proceeded to press garlic cloves and it just tasted so good, I kept adding more and more. Well, by that night my stomach was a wreck and it lasted well into the next day as well. My intestines hurt so bad I couldn't even eat. Lesson learned!
Anyway, as far as your recipe goes, I don't think it would have gone bad sitting on your countertop as honey is a natural preservative. I do know though, that if preserving garlic cloves in olive oil, that must be refrigerated.
Wishing you the best during this holiday season! Stay healthy Sue! Lisa

Aloe Vera

I have been seeking the elements required by the body to do its own healing-- the most vital of them, at least. One of these is as old as life itself, and been in use as a healing agent for a known 5,000 years. It is aloe. The research reveals this type and form of aloe to be closest to eating the plant itself, and is
required for cells to do their healing, so I'm all in, when I read that!
Yet another substance that we have woefully underestimated, due to not using it in its best variety, nor in the best delivery form. That the gubmt is trying to place such products under the auspices of big pharm should tell you all you need to know, as they really do want us to have access to affordable, and readily available healing agents, right? --T.

I have had great results for constipation with the camels milk. Chrinic constipation resolved within 3 days.
But it apparently is good for autism, diabetes and other immune problems.

Hi Francisca, I have also heard this and read it in many places. Many years ago I was convinced enough to go dairy free for my asthma. It was absolutely free not even a piece of cake/bread or any food that I did not know every ingredient. Young with lots of energy in those days. At that time my apparent problems were asthma which was getting worse and small amount of eczema. After about 3 months I gave it up as neither had improved at all and started getting painful legs.
My opinion now is that raw is best and some of the processed products are dead eg. Long life milk. Also due to the way farming is done dairy products lack magnesium so the more dairy we eat the more magnesium we need to take. Farmers are not paid any extra for mineral content in their produce. I am also seeing people who had no problems with raw milk now have problems (itching skin and stuffy nose) with the processed milk but who are now able to have the processed A2 milk and with no problems. Interesting that most of these same people don't have problems with small servings of cheese and real yoghurt. My girlfriends son is truly allergic to dairy if he even touches the outside of the plastic wrapper he gets an immediate rash. This is just my opinion of my personal experience and observation of some other folk.

Immune System Stimulation
Posted by Tommy (North York, On, Canada) on 09/14/2010
Hello everyone, From a short research I found that there is some molecules are very important to stimulate the immune system:
1- Iodide potassium stimulates macrophage activity. 2- Alpha and beta gluca are also very good immune stimulator. 3-L-arginine and L-Citrillune stimulates the murine macrophage by the production of NO. 4-lPS( lipopolysaccharide) stimulates murine macrophage activity.
The question is what is LPS and we can find them or buy them as supplement? I appreciate your help.
Immune System Stimulation
Posted by Natalie (Guelph, Ontario, Canada) on 03/20/2012
LPS (lipopolysaccharide) is a component of the bacterial cell wall which the body recognizes as foreign and mounts an immune response. Injections of LPS into the blood can cause an immune response much like the response your body mounts when you have a bacterial infection (anorexia, lethargy, vomiting, decreased protein synthesis). I would not recommend using this "as a supplement" as your question had suggested.

Do some research, but what I did requested samples from my boils and Important asking for resistancy , so they did it and foundout that I could only take one antibiotic ( FUCIDIN), and all others that they would give me, be resistant. Problem is that I had to get it from Canada, because it is no longer selling in Europe, but that was like 5 years ago, so maybe it's changed. Do not forget Probiotics for long time. Kimchee
Posted by Monica (Atlanta, GA) on 12/13/2005
★★★★★
I make a large container of kimchee and keep it on hand when I feel my intestinal and vaginal candida starting to act up. For me, it really helps nip an attack in the bud, and seems to raise my immunity generally. It even seems to ward of a cold or any kind of respiratory infection. Here's my recipe: Buy a big head of nappa cabbage. Coarsely dice, and steam in the microwave with a small amount of water for five minutes only. It should still be crisp. Place the semi-cooked nappa in a large bowl. Add the following to taste and toss with the nappa: about 1/2 cup of Vietnamese Chili Garlic Sauce. This can be purchased at any well-stocked Oriental grocery. The kind I purchase has no sugar, although it does contain vinegar (but that doesn't seem to lessen the benefits in my case.)Then dice and add 3 or 4 raw scallions. Grate a large carrot and add. Then, finely dice and add 2 large garlic cloves. Lastly, grate about 2 TBSP of RAW, FRESH ginger and add. Pour on about 1/2 cup water to make a "sauce" that will distribute all of these ingredients with the nappa when mixed together. The result should be a pungent, head-clearing "salad" that I eat in between meals a half-cup at a time, a few times a day when experiencing symptoms. If you are familiar with kimchee, you know that it traditionally contains fermented fish sauce, so I leave this out, of course. My kimchee stays in my refrigerator at all times and will not spoil, so it can be kept on hand to have when needed. It's a good thing I enjoy eating it. It's great as a condiment on rice, but mixing it with other foods seems to lessen its punch for me. One more thing. It does cause garlic breath, so I brush and gargle with baking soda. It helps me so much with my candida and general immunity, that I'm not willing to give it up!
