WITH GREAT SKEPTICISM I TRIED THE EGG WHITE ROUTINE, AND LEFT MY FEET IN BAGGIES FOR 45 MINUTES. THE FEVER DID GO DOWN, AND TONIGHT ITS GONE. BUT IT GOT ME THINKING, WON'T ANYTHING COLD AROUND THE FEET DO THE SAME THING? OR SOAKING FEET IN A COLD WATER WASH BASIN OR TUB? SEEMS LIKE ITS THE COOLING PROCESS... VERSUS SOME MAGIC OF EGG WHITES?

My husband had a very high fever, he was trembling with fever. I took the (organic) egg whits and i put some saran rap down, I put a hankershift and put about two egg whites in each one (one for each foot. I then had my husband hold his foot down over a pay and it placed the hankershift with the egg whites against the bottom of his foot and the the saran wrap over that so that it would not drip out and then a sock on his foot over that. (both feet) In about 10 minutes his fever was totally gone and never came back. I think the woman who the egg whites did not work for was not doing it properly.

My 9 yr old son, has had a fever for the last 2 days, I discovered this website, after telling myself, LOOK FOR HOLISTIC!! I am a huge Earth Mom! So, I found this site, and THANK YOU!!!

I made my son lay in bed and put a bath towel underneath his legs. I soaked paper towel in the egg whites and then put ziploc baggies over each foot followed by a pair of socks- then, i covered his feet with the bath towel

I left the "potion" on for about 20 minutes or so! I checked his feet after about 10 minutes, and could feel tremendous heat!!! I waited, and repeated after about another 30 minutes!

After the second application of the "potion" he had instant energy and was more like his happy fun self!

THANK YOU!! I must add, he thought it was funny that his Mom was putting eggs on his feet, I explained what ancient medicine is, and that this particular method came from Chinese ( as I read on the site) and he asked if it was "Buddha's recipe!!" :))))

Thank you soo much!!

My 3yr old started a temp three days ago at 102. I started to give him Motrin and alternate with Tylenol. His fever did not go down all night and proceeded into the next morning. I stayed home with him and kept him on the medications and his temp stayed all day between 102 and 103. In the evening yesterday by 9pm my husband checks the internet for any remedies to bring down fevers. We were starting to worry. He was burning hot. Well he browsed until he got to this website and told me about it. I have never heard of egg yolk remedy before and I was skeptical about it. So off I went to get cloths, soaked it and applied it to my son's feet. Within half hour from 103 his temp went down to 101. I reapplied he cloths again with yolk a second time. Within 35min his temp went down to 99.5. I was amazed. All day trying to get his temp down with Motrin and Tylenol and nothing. Which surprises me becaue usually the motrin has helped at least bring down his temp a little. But this fever was not letting down. So after he fell asleep in his bed, i got up many times to check up him, and his fever was gone. Today I kept him home from daycare just to make sure his fever didnt come back. Sure thing, it DIDN'T. I am so THANKFUL,i have no words to explain. Who says because it sounds wiered to try it won't work. I instantly told my two closest friends and my sister about this and they were in disbelief. I will most definitly keep this remedy in mind for any future fevers that come along. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

EC: We presume you used egg whites, not egg yolks, but let us know if we're wrong. We'd love to know if egg yolks work as well!

I have my grandson visiting from Birmingham; he had been sick for two weeks with a terrible congestion and cough, and most recently worsened with a high fever (103oF) so I searched on line for a natural remedy to break fever. I came across this site and these suggestions. After reading all, I decided on the less messy potato remedy. I slice a white potato into pieces about the size of his little foot and ut them into his socks. It worked in 30 minutes! The fever is completely gone and he is back to a normal reading. Further, I am using apple cider vinegar with natural blue agave sweetener to loosen the congestion and a juice mixture of fresh lemon with grated ginger and sweetener to sooth his cough. Natural is always better! Thanks to all of you for sharing.

I tried the egg white remedy to bring my 16 year old daughters temp down. It was 102.9 to start. We tried a warm bath, we tried ice chips..nothing. Finally I convinced her to let me try the egg white. Within 30 mins her temp was down to 99.1 !!! The shaking stopped, she was able to sleep and within another hour it was down to 98.8. THANK YOU!!!

My 12 year old son had a high fever of 104.3 that would not break, even after motrin, popsicles, liquids, and a sponge bath. I came into my office to call the doctor, but thought I'd google 'how to bring down a high fever' and up popped this site. Wow...after having 3 boys and dealing with many high fevers (in fact, this son went into a seizure at 1 1/2 yrs from a high fever)...I can't believe I've never heard of this!! I used 5 egg whites and soaked a wash cloth that I then wrapped on his feet. Truly, and I kid you not, my boys are witnesses... his fever dropped to 102 in a matter of 20 minutes. Thank you so much for this website!!! the ol 'wives' knew more than we give them credit for!!!

My 10 year old son woke me up at 12:30am. His temp registered at 104.5. I gave him a tylenol, which he proceeded to throw back up. Dropped him into a cool tub and ran to the internet. I found your site and thought your remedies sounded silly. There was no way eggs would work. Well, the tub did not drop his temp and he was still throwing up, so down to the kitchen I went. We got a big laugh out of the slimy, cold feeling of egg whites on bare feet, but we wrapped them up, covered them with his Dad's socks and waited. Within a few minutes his temp dropped to 103.4. 10 minutes late, down to 102.6. Within 30 minutes he was at 100.5. Just not sure how long I need to leave the eggs on him feet. Will definitely use this remedy again. Thank you!

The flu, a bug was going around. Last week my 60 year old husband had awful body chills that often come before a high fever. His fever then started to rise and rise to 102-F where it stayed for hours. No amount of cool cloths, etc seemed to work. Desperate, I went online and Googled for some help and found your site. I raced into the kitchen, soaked two paper towels in chilled egg whites and wrapped them around his feet and added warm, dry socks (note: he truly hated this feeling and let me know in no uncertain terms!) As I hovered over him there was initally no relief. I was making both of us crazy, so I sat down quietly and took his temparture about 30 minutes later...the fever had broken and within the hour his temparture was back to 98.8-F. When I took off his sock and unwrapped the towels it was amazing to see the egg whites COOKED! I have passed along your site and this remedy to many friends. Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much!)

This is by far the weirdest thing I have ever heard of for curing a fever... but it works! I had a fever tonight that was rising rapidly. I was desperate, so I had my husband help me with this strange concoction. But after about 20 minutes, my fever was up to 101.9! The problem: he hadn't wrapped my feet up - he had simply put some paper towels on the bottom of my feet. So we decided to give it another try... the right way. We soaked two paper towels in egg whites, and wrapped each one around my feet. Literally, within ONE MINUTE, I started feeling really hot (I had been really cold up until that time). Could these be the sweats you get when your fever breaks? No, not so fast, I thought, and assumed my fever had gone up. But when I checked it, it was 101.8, and about 15 minutes later it was 101. Now, about 30 minutes later, it is 100.5. My husband thought I was crazy when I suggested this method - but he is now a believer! We are definitely going to be using egg whites to fight fevers in the future!

You made me a believer. On 02.10.06, my wife got a high fever of 103.2 and, after to resorting to all the over the counter medications, I found this article. I tried it exactly as recommended and with an hour her fever was down to 101. It took a bit longer for her to finally break the fever and start the "sweats" but thanks to you, she is now fine. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I am so thankful for this site. My daughter called me and my grand-son, 4 years old, had 104.9 and I was so scared. I told her to try the vinegar and Motrin and she did and nothing really happened, but then she tried the egg whites which I really thought it would not work, but in 20 minutes his fever went from 104.9 to 101.00, IT REALLY DOES WORK!!! Thank you so much at least my little grand-son did not have to be traumatized in the hospital with blood tests, etc... Thanks again

WORKED TEMPORARILY

Three treatments of egg whites on the feet using 5 egg whites for the three treatments brought the temperature down from 103 to 101 and 1/2 but only temporarily....for about 2 hours.

I think from what you wrote the time that you left it on was not nearly long enough 20 minutes is not long enough it lasted an hour or some even left it all night for it to take affect...

Eggs White Cure : Last night I was searching on the web for a natural cure for my 4-year-old daughter's fever, I found this website. Asked my daugther, Anna Marie if I could do this crazy medicine on her feet. She allowed me to do it, and within 20-minutes the fever was gone. It did not come back! Thank you so much for this information, it is so valuable.

Yes, actually it is. Its def the cooling mechanism. I read in a book about the Australian outback about how the native peoples would bury their feet in cold (dirt) or earth to get their fevers down. Ive also wrapped my daughters feet in icy water washcloths and wrapped it in a towel and left it and that has taken her fever down before.

I tried the egg white remedy because my 4 1/2 year ols son had been having a high temp for the past 4 days ranging from 100 to 103.7!! we took him to doc they said continue taking tylenol/motrin and that wasnt seeming to bring his temp down at all!! he had also been giving antibiotics as well and he still has temp/did not go down ! we were told he should have viral bronchitis, but with all the medication his temp should have went down by now! especially since i had been giving him tylenol/motrin every 4 hours! So tonight i tried the remedy. I soaked two paper towels in two egg whites and wrapped around his feet and placed socks over them. in about 30 min took his temp and it went down from 103.00 to 100.3! I was impressed. now i will just have to see if it will go down some more or go back up!! on all the comments no one ever said if the temp ever came back up! So Im gonna check him again in a few hours and if its back up i will re-do the remedy again. Thanks for this great remedy! i will def pass it on!

I was getting fevers too but I don't keep eggs at home. I heard one could use potatoes or onions as well. I put an icepack under my feet. I kept my socks on so it wouldn't be too cold. Fever broke. Hope it helps others when no egg whites or such are around.

Thank You so much for your site. My son had developed a terrible fever to 103 and was in pain and couldn't sleep. My wife tried a lot of things; ice, cool bath, etc. I came home and ran to your site, few clicks later I was breaking my first egg yolk (used 2 eggs per foot in plastic bags with handkerchief, put it on his feet then put socks over the bags to keep in place) You never let me down before, and doggone it, you saved the day again. in 5 minutes it dropped to 101 then 20 min later 100. My only problem was I left it too long (2hrs) and he has sensitive skin, so he broke out a little, no prob it soon went away, and he finally went to sleep!! (and so did I!! Amen

Well I just want to say thanks sooo much for this remedy!!! I picked my nephew up for a visit this evening and found out he had a high fever when I picked him up. I found this site a few days ago and have been using Coconut oil to treat hypothyroidism which also caused a large nodule to form on my husbands neck... the coconut oil has been AMAZING! He has had anxiety attacks a lot lately but when he was feeling anxious I had him take some and within ten minutes he felt energetic and the anxiousness went away! I started using it myself and notice that I feel better both physically as I have more energy and mentally as I have this wonderful mental clarity. I've started giving it to my son as well and put it on some toast instead of butter or margarine and then added some jam.. tastes great and he cant tell the difference! Also a quick recipe to get kids to take ACV is to add a couple tablespoons to a bag of sliced apples, allow to sit for at least a day and the kids gobble them up!

K back to the fever... My nephews fever was at 102.3 when I looked up on this site what to use, he was feeling horrible with a really bad ache in his leg and his skin was so sensitive he didnt want us touching him. I found the egg white remedy and sent my mom to get four egg whites from downstairs, had him put on socks and soaked them in the eggwhites then bagged his feet so he could lay in bed. After an hour his fever just barely dropped so I got back on wondering what I did wrong... the socks had absorbed all the eggwhites so I got four more eggwhites and poured those into the baggies and this time put a second pair of socks over the bags to keep the egg whites on his feet. His fever started dropping in about 20 min to (99.4) then he got up and started playing with his cousin... so far its been about 45 min since adding the extra egg whites and he is feeling lots better, I cant account for the temp though because he's been running around playing lol. Right now its 101 but I think its cause hes not laying down and resting... I will post back later as to how long it took for his fever to break, I know it hasnt yet since he isnt sweating.

I just took my son to the dr today with a high fever of 103.9. I had been giving him ibuprofen and since his white blood count was fine they suggested I continue to do that and watch him. His temp started to go back up after coming down a little with the Motrin so I tried the egg remedy.I dipped some paper towels in egg whites and wrapped his feet and then used plastic bags and put socks over that. WOW!!! I am amazed and very thankful. He went from being listless on the couch to playing in about 45 mins. I took his temp a few mins ago and it went from 103.8 to 102. I LOVE this site!!!! Thanks!!!

Absolutely miraculous. My daughter had a fever ranging from 100 to 103 for 3 days. This remedy brought her fever down to 98. In less than 1/2 an hour and it never went back up. Wow. I used 2 paper towels to soak up 2 egg whites (cold out the fridge), then used plastic baggies and socks. No rubber bands. It's kinda messy but amazing. Do it now!
