Wow, I had been fighting an intense fever of 103.4F for 3 days I never get sick I am a personal trainer so eating and exercising right helps me dodge a lot of bullets. Anyway I had tried everything to break this fever; cold showers, Nyquil, Dayquil, Ib prophen. None seemed to work they just took the edge off. Anyway, last night was the last straw. I was literally sick and tired of this fever so I tried wrapping my feet in eggs and covering in 2 layers of socks. I couldnt bother to sepparate the whites, hehe. This morning 98.9 degrees. Thanks Earth Clinic I am on the road back to being myself again.

My Italian boyfriend gets really high fevers once a year. He doesn't take medicine so when he hit 103.5 I found this great remedy! He was dubious("it will smell!")but gave in- and his fever dropped in about 30 minutes! Great remedy, I've been telling everyone about it-Italians seem to be prone to fevers (even the slightest ones)-so I think it will be a popular remedy here soon!

My 5 year old has had a fever off and on for the past 2 days, tonight at about 11:00 it topped out at 103.4, I gave her motrin, a cool bath, made my poor baby basically freezer her hiney off like they do at the hospital, and nothing was working, after doing all of the above, the lowest it had gotten down to was 102.6, so I got online and came across this site, I had never heard of this rememdy before, everthying else I came across, I had already done, or it just sounded a little to "out there" to try. I read what this site had to say, read the feedback, and thought, "what the hey, the only thing I go to lose is my daughters fever". By 1:08 a.m. her tempature was 102.8, it had started to rise again, I had put the egg soaked paper towels on her feet, a bag over each and then her socks by 1:11 a.m.. By 1:30 I checked her tempature again and it had gone down to 99.8, talk about relief, it is now 1:48, and I just checked her tempature again, I am glad to say that it 98.8, in a matter of minutes her fever that I had been battleing for 2 days now, was gone, and she's sleeping nicely. Thank you so much...

I was up at 4:00am with my 5 year old daughter, who had a fever of 102. I started looking on the internet and came across this site. I tried the egg whites on the feet to bring down a high fever and it worked. My husband does not belive me, but know after almost 48 hours of a high fever my daughter is back down to normal. Thank you for the information -- it was so helpful.

I have to admit, I was really skeptical about this. When I came home today, my 10 year old son had a temperature of 101.9. I looked online and saw this remedy. I talked my son into letting me do it and after an hour, his temperature went down to 99.9. After 2 hours, it was at 98.1!!!! This truly does work!!!!!!!

I've been trying to break my fever for three days. I've been hopped up on Ibuprofen and knew my body could not take anymore so i came on here to find a natural "non-medication" remedy. I was really skeptical about the egg white remedy but after reading everyone's comments i figured there was nothing to lose except for maybe some cold slimy feet. As soon as I put it on my feet I felt myself starting to sweat (something I haven't done in days) I'm so excited that this is working for me! thank you again and again

My Daughter had a Fever Ranging from 102.4-104.2 for 3 days straight we tried tylenol, motrin, advil, feverall, and went to the doctor's office 3 days straight with her even the hospitals emergency room. Nothing would break this cycle of fever. I got really scared and went on the internet to see if i could find some answers, while surfing and praying, i was lead to this site and so I tried it, o.k. why not I checked all options, such as would it harm her in any way, no it won't because it is not ingested. Well, it works after putting the paper towel soaked in egg whites on her feet. You could actually feel the fever being drawn down to the bottom from her body. I would recommend this on anyone especially a infant that can't take all the meds. Thank you so much for sharing this remedy, It Works!!! Thank God!!!

My mother has told this story many times in the last 30 years. When I was about 4 years old I got a severe burn on the inside of my forearm. Apparently, it was a 2nd degree burn as it was evident to her that 2 layers of skin had been burned. My mother immediately applied egg whites mixed with alum to the burn and covered it with gauze. (Alum is usually found on the spice aisle at the grocery store and is used as an ingredient in baking powder, as a crisping agent for pickles and to harden gelatin.) She says that the following day I was outside playing with other children and fell - forearm down on the ground. She was amazed that I immediately got up and began playing again with no indication of any pain from the burn. I'm not sure of the significance of the alum but I'm now 35 years old and, within my memory, there has never been any sign of a scar on my arm.

I was at wits end trying to figure out what to do about my husband's persistent fever. He has been sick with the flu for the past six days. His fever has been anywhere from 101 to 103. We tried ibuprofen, Boiron's oscillococcinum, emergen-c, various electrolyte drinks, etc, etc.. Nothing worked. Tonight I got online to discover your thread on egg whites and fever reduction. I told my husband that I intended to try it and he was very sceptical.. However.. We have a six month old baby and I said, Hey.. if nothing else this will give us an idea of what to do if our baby gets a fever! Lo and behold.. After wrapping his feet in egg white soaked paper towels, saran wrap and socks, within one and a half hours, his fever went from 101.3 to 97.9!! I am absolutely convinced (and flabbergasted) that this works. Thanks so much for all of the postings. I am a believer and plan to share this advice with others.. God Bless my dear old Mama.. she had a plethora of old wives remedies and she would have loved this one!

My 4 1/2 year old son had been fighting cough, sore throat and fever... I was able to control his sore throat and cough but feels like his fever is out of control. I could not hold him as he makes me feel too burning hot. and it has been 3 days with a fever. I had tried everything... tylenol, lukewarm bath, etc... and nothing improved and I was skeptical when I read about the egg whites but I didn't really have anything to lose, so tried that and was so surprised that his fever BROKE! Wow... i will definitely keep that in mind for the future fevers. Thanks!!!!!!!

I was up all night last night with my 15 year old daughter, trying to break her fever. I tried everything I could think of all day today. Tonight I searched for a natural remedy and found your site. I went upstairs about 40 minutes ago and applied the egg whites and covered her feet in baggies and socks. I just went up and took her temperature and it went from 100.9 to 99.6 in that time. After my not being able to lower it all last night and today, this is a blessing! I sat here and prayed after I applied it to her, and my prayers were answered! Thank you for this wonderful site!!

Okay. I just dived three egg whites into a cut up cloth napkin. I tied them together with a rubber band and put them directly on my sons feet. I then put socks over the cloths. No plastic. I layed down with him, and I literally could feel is 104.7 temp head begin to cool. Its been 19 minutes and he is sleeping. I also have a damp cloth on his head. Does this actually work??? I mean, how? I have no other explanation that I was desperate to bring his temp down- and this actually worked. I am in shock.

Came across your site, so I gave the remedy a shot. I don't know how high my temperature is but after a half hour I am starting to sweat a bit! I do feel better, I feel I could take a nap if I needed to. Part of having a fever is that you can't really sleep. This is interesting.

I've been down with a bad sinus infection and sore throat the past couple of days. Had a high fever from late afternoon until I tried the egg white remedy. I used paper towels(cut one in half) two egg whites, plastic wrap and socks. Within an hour and a half, the fever broke. Still have the stuff on my tootsies as I'm not sure if the fever's going to return quickly. Thank you!

My son at a fever of 104.1 under his arm at 12:45 pm. After trying everything from sponging to tylenol and motrin, I called my chiropractor who suggested the egg whites. I was desperate and had nothing to loose so I tried it and it worked. His fever dropped to 103 within 10 minutes of applying the egg whites. I think every parent should know this trick. Thank You.

I had to leave comment after trying this. I googled "how to break a fever" and came accross this site and began to read about the many people who have tried the egg whites on the feet and how they made out. Well my 5 year old son has had a fever for the past day and I tried the old cool bath remedy and the tylenol cough and cold and so on, but wasn't helping as much as I had hoped. My poor baby! Well his temp was still up to 101.4 and so I thought to myself I gotta try this wether it works or not or I'll keep thinking Hhhmmm I wonder. I am so glad that I went and cracked me open some eggs and put some egg whites on my baby's feet cause within 10 minutes his temp is down to 100.6 so yeah I think it may be working lol I'm a pretty skeptical kinda person most times and extremely glad I tried this, no matter how silly one migth think it seems at first. Thank you for the tip, greatly appreciated yall!! Anyone who is at last resorts...try it...it works!!! You'll be going yay too! lol Good luck! I'm off to check my baby's temp again. Nite nite!

My 85 year old father was not feeling well and went to lay down a little while ago. My mother and I heard noise coming from their bedroom and found my father walking around hallucinating due to a high fever. His face was very red. We started putting cold wash cloths on his forehead but it did not seem to be breaking the fever. I thought their has to be a home remedy and signed onto your website and read about the egg whites. I told my mother I know you think I am crazy and she said do it! I am happy to say my father's fever is breaking. I cannot tell you what his temperature was originally but I know it was high. About fifteen minutes ago it was 101 and his color is much better. I am sure when I go take his temperature again it will be even lower. I am so greatful I found this website.
