OMG! I can't believe the garlic on tooth method DID bring immediate relief! After waking up from sleep, my back upper tooth was throbbing so bad tears wouldn't stop. This always happens when my system gets too acidic. I can count on the tooth problem flaring as my gauge to myacid/alkaline state out of balance.

I made myself get to this site, (which I use for everything ), tried the garlic & NO MORE PAIN!

I've used this site for myself, friends, & pets, ALWAYS an excellent source for info. Thank you so very much AGAIN!

May the Blessings of ONE Be With Us ALL!

The garlic remedy seems to be helping. I have only done 2 doses so far and I can tell the pain is subsiding. Also going to include more garlic in my diet.

Garlic Has been the best tooth pain remedy I have tried. I put it in my tooth and bite down a little and leave for about a minute and the pain subsides.

It would be a good idea to drape a wet, warm as you can tolerate black tea bag over the tooth for 20-30 min. (keep spitting) to help pull out remaining blood and/or pus.

Something I found very helpful.

Garlic for Toothache After Routine Work

Garlic made a difference! Had a toothache for about a week after getting a temporary crown put in. Hot foods would make the pain exponetially worse. Was looking for a solution other than lots of Advil to curb the discomfort. I didn't have any fresh garlic so I used a cube of crushed frozen garlic; I let it thaw, mixed it with olive oil and applied on the tooth and gums with a q-tip. It was spicy but took down the pain by about 70% within 10 minutes. I don't have an infection, so I can vouch that garlic helps lessen the pain of a toothache after dental work. Still aches some but improved!

Wow- super impressed. I'm two weeks away from having a baby and started to get a pretty bad toothache tonight. I was freaking out thinking about the fact I wouldn't want to get x-rays right now, don't want to have tooth work done while preggo, don't want to take meds... so jumped on here to see if there were any recommendations. Saw the garlic posts and decided to throw some fresh garlic in my garlic press, mix it with olive oil (all I have is regular extra virgin olive oil for cooking), and do the oil pulling w/ the added pressed garlic. Swished it around for 8 minutes (couldn't handle the burn for the full 10- OW! ) and viola! No tooth pain whatsoever now. Thank you again EC community!!

I use "cloves of garlic". Slice cloves of garlic, use a bit of olive oil in a sauce pan, fry "ever so lightly", barely browning. The less you fry it, the more medicinal power the garlic has.

Take the "toasted garlic slices", when a bit cooled - pack between the gum & the cheek. Let set as long as you can, sucking the juices out of the garlic into the mouth. (about 10-15 min). When you are tired of holding the garlic between the cheek and gums, then chew the garlic with the tooth or teeth infected.... May need a 2nd or 3rd application a few hours later (depending on how bad the infection is).

Stops the pain and clears the infection. Usually works the 1st time, every time.

I have used this method every time I have had a tooth infection and I have never had to have the tooth removed.

Enjoy!

p.s. Garlic must be slightly fried .. so it does not "burn" the inside of the gum or cheek from the natural strong juices of the garlic.

I had my left lower wisdom tooth removed last week. All was well until I noticed that there was no clot! I had heard about dry sockets and remembered when my Dad had it... Well I remember him saying how painful it was, anyway. So today I was unable to get the pain under control. NOTHING was working. So I hopped on here and read about the sliced garlic cloves... WOW!!! After some intense burning and drooling, IT WORKED!!! That was about an hour ago! I still have some residual soreness but NO PAIN! I simply sliced a clove and put it in my mouth at the source of pain for several minutes and VIOLA'. THANK YOU EARTH CLINIC!!!

This weekend I was with a friend when she experienced an excruciating tooth ache when she bit down on a cracker and impacted a tooth that needs a root canal (but she) can't have the procedure right away. As bad as it was, I thought the pain would last for days. Despite her protests, I mixed a paste consisting of crushed garlic, turmeric, salt and pepper. She rubbed the paste on her gums and packed the tooth with it. The results were impressive. At one point she said she could feel it pulling out the pain. She was out of pain before bedtime and she woke up feeling fine the next morning.

I had sudden tooth ache earlier today! Took some over the counter med! They worked but went to work that night and forgot my meds! So I got on earth clinic and found out about garlic! So looking around work couldn't find any! Just so happened we had garlic powder! Don't ask why I have no idea! So I put it in my mouth and pushed it on the tooth with my tongue and it worked! It probably took a little longer then the fresh but after while it worked! So if anyone out there can't get a hold on fresh garlic at the time and have garlic powder try it!!! THANKS EARTH CLINIC!!!!! YOU'RE AWESOME!!!!!

Its 3am and I have been in pain since 10am the previous day. Taken so many pain killers (Panadol, Proxen, etc) with no relieve, my head was pounding and I had tears running down my right eye. Thought of yanking off the tooth myself but decided to check the internet and read about the garlic cure, luckily I had some in the house. I cut off a bit and chewed on it and I must say I am so grateful for that advise. Now I can finally go to bed. Thanks a million.

Garlic is extremely potent anti microbial and bioflavonoid. It has so many great properties, I don't think any home should be without this food. Plus, it makes foods taste amazing! The fact it smells and tastes so strong speaks of its beneficial qualities. So, when you bite raw garlic, you may immediately feel burning in your mouth and all the way down the digestive tract. I do! Sometimes it hits my tummy like a rocket! If you had a head rush it's because of its warming effect and ability to increase blood flow. That's why it's good for the heart. I usually try to offset the effects by chewing with a bit of citrus fruit, like lemon lime or orange, or place a teaspoon of honey in my mouth first and then quickly adding the garlic, swallowing the garlic with the honey. If I'm using garlic only for immunity and not my teeth, I'll just mince the garlic and put it in the honey and swallow the whole thing without chewing.

Had a root canal procedure done Thursday. By that night, I was having horrible pain. By the next day, I was having excruciating pain. I could not function the pain was so intense. Went on like this taking antibiotics and pain killers and for relief.

Found this web site and put garlic in a press let it sit then put it on the painful spot above the tooth and it burned soooo bad! But with in a couple minutes the pain was so much less. Garlic was the only thing that worked! Such relief! Thank you!

Garlic worked! I had a toothache that was followed by a headache. I was so miserable that after about an hour laying in agony, I checked earthclinic for some help.

I got a clove of garlic, cut it up, and waited a few minutes to let the enzymes be released as someone mentioned. I then fried a bit with olive oil and before it turned brown, I removed it from the pan. When it cooled a bit, I applied on my gum, right above the teeth that hurt. Right away I experienced some relief. I sucked the juices of the garlic and even chew on a few. The pain is gone! I am amazed!!!

WARNING!

Warning, although it can work to relieve pain, it won't fix the problem. Two months after I used this remedy, I discovered a hole on my tooth, and now I have to do root canal or extraction because the tooth became decayed inside and I barely have any tooth structure left. So if you experience pain more than one time on the same side of your mouth- I felt pain again about a month later or so - go to the dentist!

I love this site so much. I have been coming here for a couple of years now and have finally registered to post some feedback because I'm truly grateful for other's feedback or else I would still be in excruciating pain right now. I woke up with a SEVERE toothache. My gums and cheek were swollen and I couldn't eat and even was in pain from talking. Ibuprofen did little to help. I came on earthclinic and read the amazing feedback about garlic. I chopped up a clove of garlic really small and waited 5 minutes for the allicin to be fully released. I swallowed it with a bunch of water and layed on the couch. It didn't work right away, but I wanted to give it time to work. I took a clove, chopped it in half and put little slices in it, in an attempt to release more allicin. I was afraid to put it in my mouth because of all of the feedback about the burning, but was in so much pain and desperate I did it. I sandwiched the garlic between my teeth and after a few seconds could feel the burn. It was uncomfortable but not as bad as the pain I was in. Anyway after 5 minutes, the pain had been cut in half. Every 3-4 hours, I swallowed more minced garlic and put garlic on the tooth as needed. Within 24 hours, the large bump on my gums shrank to nearly nothing and the pain was gone! It's a miracle. I'm a believer. It is worth a try and much cheaper and healthier than antibiotics. Thank you so much earthclinic and all of the posters for sharing their experiences.
