Years ago, I had a very large wart on my thumb, by the nail. I actually thought it was a nasty cuticle, very rough and cabbage like. It was painful too. One day, I examined it under a magnifier and noticed black dots and realized it was a wart. I had read in a Dear Abby column that a good wart cure was to rub the inside of a banana peel on it. I bought a bunch of them and always had an empty peel on the kitchen counter. I rubbed the wet, inside part on the wart every time I passed the kitchen. I did that for a few days. Really very interesting that it wasn't a gradual thing, more like I looked at it one day and it was gone. It probably took 3 or 4 days. It really works.

Banana Skin Peel to cure Warts.

WOW, this worked for us and we proved the sceptics wrong (there were quite a few!) My son had two large painful warts on the bottom of his foot. I rubbed some banana skin on them most nights and often taped small squares of banana on them over night. The first time we did it he said that it was stinging and they started to turn black. After about 3 months they are completely gone with no scarring and other smaller ones that appeared have gone to. We often missed days and the taped on pieces frequently fell off in bed, I assume that this is why it took 3 months. If I have the need to use this remedy again I would tape them on all of the time and replace the banana skin every couple of days for quicker results.

For six months I had a wart or gangleon on my arthritic finger just above the nail. I read about the banana treatment here and tried it. After four days the wart/gangleon has almost disappeared completely.

I just returned from the dermatologist who confirmed that my plantars warts are in fact healed. Every night after a shower I scrubbed my two toes with an emory board, rubbed banana peel into the warts, then applied the peel with athletic tape. Occasionally I would give my toes a break and would just apply tea tree oil to them after scrubbing. It worked and the warts healed from the inside. This was the only cure that worked for me even after I tried freezing them, duct tape, and apple cider vinegar. One thing to note, dispose of the used peels in a trash can with a lid. I ended up with a fruit fly infestation that took a few weeks to get rid of.

My teenage son had warts around his nails and one on his wrist. I had read about the banana peel cure - didn't believe it would work, but thought we'd try anyway. We just put a piece of banana peel over the wart on his wrist and put a bandaid over it. He slept with it on for about a week or two. After 2 weeks, it was still there, so he stopped the treatment. Then, several months later, he casually mentioned the wart was gone. I could not believe it! In addition, the warts on his fingers have also disappeared - and we did not even treat them! He had had these warts for years! This is a miracle treatment!

I have tried out the Banana Peel for wart, and it worked like a charm.

I had two warts one on my thumb, near the skin above the nail, another on my foot. Without actually knowing about them, I went to a dermatologist, who confirmed that they are warts. She burnt the wart on my foot, but, removing wart on thumb by burning might harm the nerves on my thumb, and suggested to take the salicylic acid treatment. No betterment for a month. When I searched google for wart cure, I found this remedy on first page. Though, I didnot believe at first, but, after reading so many testimonials, I tried out. 5th day, the wart is gone :)

I had a wart on my left hand for at least ten years. I tried several over-the-counter remedies, but none worked. I tried the banana peel remedy and in five days the wart was gone! Amazing!

Had planters warts for 6 plus years. Had them cut out by family doctor, that did not work, tried every home remidy I found on this computer. Banana peels taped to them with furnace tape seems to have killed the little beggers. Banana peels for 5 days, to me is seems unreal, a miracle that my feet don't hurt seems they are just smoothing over. Have pictures if I could figure out how to get them to you.

I can't even tell you how much this works. I had warts on my fingers for 3+ years to which I saw many doctors who couldn't get rid of them. I was just shy of laser surgery when they realized they couldn't do it because my nails would never grow back. Finally, my dad told me to try the banana peel. One week later, they were all gone and I had over 10 of them. My doctors had done absolutely everything including the painful surgery and a skin cancer cream to keep them from spreading. I urge you to try it. Be vigilant in your efforts doing it every morning and night. I also had to file the wart down at each dressing, but I can't even explain to you how happy I am it worked.

I found this website when looking for cures for my daugher's warts, she has several on her hand. We taped small pieces of banana peel to each wart every night and two are gone, two are getting much smaller, so I'm positive they will disappear. I can't remember how long it has taken, but I would guess at least 1 month. We would forget several nights too.

Also, I found the rememdy of ACV for toe fungus and have soaked my foot every nite for about 1 or 1-1/2 months. The toenail isn't completely grown out yet, but this new growth is looking very clear, so I think that worked and it will grow out clean.

Thank you for cheap and easy remedies.

My 5 year old daughter had a nasty cluster of 3 warts on top of her foot. We tried to freeze it off and it didn't work and only mad her cry with the pain that was associated with the procedure.

We were very reluctant to go the doctor because we knew that they would want to try to cut it out and to a 5 year old that was tramatic.

We happened to mention to our friends that she had some warts and they directed us to this website. We thought that we had nothing to lose but to try the banana peel treatment because it was only a harmless banana peel. So I cut up a banana about an inch by inch size and tape it onto the warts with some bandaides to keep it still. Note, before putting the banana peel on I would wipe another piece onto warts to try to saturate the area.

After the first night you could see that it started to work because it raised and soften the warts. We changed the banana peel the next day and by the time she was ready to go to bed one of the three warts fell out! We changed the peel that night and the remaining two warts came out but some partial of remaining so we did it one more night and everything was gone! Therefore, a total of 3 days and the warts were gone and my little girl did not have to do to the doctor and go through cutting them out. We did do additional follow up treatment for about a week or so and put some antibiotic oitment to heal void that the warts left behind.

Awesome, awesome way to get this warts out painless and fast! Just give it a try, its only a banana peel and it won't hurt you to try....you'll love the results!

So, call me a skeptic. I developed a plantar type wart on my thumb and a raised one pinkie which were both extremely irritating. I had tried OTC "freezing" at least three times, and the garlic method, which cleared up my son's warts, but neither worked. In fact, they made them worse!

Figuring, it couldn't hurt, I tried the banana peels. I cut a small square of the greenish part near the stem of the banana, and held it on with waterproof adhesive tape overnight. I removed it the next morning, and although they looked all waterlogged at that point, as the warts dried out I noticed that they had all these black spots.

I didn't use the bananas every day - - rather about 2 times a week at night, whenever I remembered (and had bananas!) After about 4 times of using the "treatment", the warts had turned nearly all black and were drying up. I filed them down, and used the banana again. As of this AM, the smaller one on my pinkie is gone and the one on my thumb is now smooth and flat, but still a little discolored. I figure another day or two, and it, too, will be completely gone.

Try it. You won't be disappointed!

We have battled a series of plantar warts on my daughters finger for about a year and a half; we had what was initially a single wart that subsequently progressed to a group of warts frozen off at a dermatologist's office four times. My daughter says this is very painful. I'm not really a believer in "old wives tails", however, someone in passing told us about the banana peel thing. We've taped a piece of the banana peel on the warts for three consecutive nights now and most of the wart is gone. There was marked improvement after the very first night; the next morning the wart had turned a blackish/brown. So I have to say, this method seems to work, so far...Even if it comes back partially, this method is certainly a lot less painful!
