Borax for athletes foot:
After trying everything else you could buy at the store for his pretty much life long athletes foot problem – and not having results my boyfriend finally decided to try the remedy I kept telling him to try… borax – which he thought was poison him instantly but he 'trusted' the OTC stuff at the store!!! LOL
He wet his feet and then took a handful and rubbed it all over his feet.
He said they stopped itching immediately! He was stunned.
A few weeks later I asked him how his athletes foot was and he said: oh wow! It hasn't come back! That stuff totally cured it!!!
Now he tells all his friends about borax 😉
My daughter is a student and the house she shares is damp and full of fungus on the walls. Her room is the worst. When I went to pick her up for the Christmas holidays I took a plastic spray bottle of Borax and water (just put enough Borax in so that no more will dissolve). I sprayed the walls with it when I arrived and then wiped all the fungus off. After helping her pack I sprayed the walls again and just left them to dry. This was a last ditch attempt to make things better because the landlord would not do anything.
When I took her back after Christmas I didn’t know what we would find but imagine my delight when we walked into her room to find not a trace of mould.
Thanks to all on this website who have written about Borax and how it kills fungus.
I hope this helps others in the same situation.
By the way, I live in the UK and it is impossible to buy Borax in any shop (even Boots). They are now selling something called ‘Borax substitute’ and no-one will give me a straight answer as to why they won’t sell Borax. One assistant in Boots said that it was because old people used to put it in their eyes. Anyway, I eventually ordered a tiny amount from Amazon and to be honest you don’t need a huge amount. Though one chemical company said they would sell it to my by the ton at a very good price.
In the UK check your local asian food stores, some asians use borax when making noodles, it appears that the product for the eyes you purchased from amazon is boric acid not the salt Sodium borate decahydrate which is basic not acidic
again as is mentioned on the first page of this topic dont take boric acid
A year ago I came to this site to find a remedy for ringworm. I had gone through an number of over the counter products, which seemed to spread the fungus instead of stopping it. It had developed because of taking prescription medication with fluoride base. Yes I was poisoning myself with a doctor’s help.
I tried Apple Cider Vinegar, hydrogen peroxide and urine to no avail. By the time I found Borax at WalMart, the fungus had spread all over my hands and I had begun to worry that I would be spreading it everywhere on my body. Plus my hands were cracked and bleeding, blistering and peeling, and the itching was endless.
So I started on Ted’s recommended dose of 1/8 tsp in a liter of water and drank it slowly over a few hours. This worked within the first few days so well that I didn’t want to stop after a few days to take a break, but I did. Within a months time the ringworm had completely vanished and the only thing left was the tiny pits in my fingernails where the fungus had affected the growth of the new nail.
Once my nails were not pitted anymore I stopped taking the borax supplement.
Hey you’re so right, as a mechanic I was hurt by the same fungus-tinia manus, got it from fungus that grows in oil or diesel, borax rids the problem and also a mold antibiotic-griseofulvin or fulvicin also will eat the fungus for 90 days, that took care of my problem, so was wondering what other common ailments are easily cured that you know of, thanks, dave s

I tried Borax remedy for my persistent fungus problem in my mouth. I tried Borax internally because Nystation didn’t get rid of it ( only partly it did). I used store brand Borax, 1/8 tsp in one liter of distilled water. The first day I experienced a nasty headache all day long and at the second day, my kidney started hurting. So I had to stop taking Borax and I’ll never try it again. The pain persisted 5 day after I stopped taking it. It was really scary! I read Ted’s comment stating that he uses the store brand Borax when he can’t find pure grade Borax. I have read most of user comment and Ted’s email before I decided to try Borax remedy. I would like to post my experience about using store brand Borax so that people can least expects what can happen.
I just wanted to reply to any post that discredits the use of Borax (store brand), I have no complaints, aches or pains but just wanted to use the borax for my own peace of mind and study if you will, to see what would happen if I injested it and not the proper way either. I was my own guini pig, so I filled a empty vegie cap “00” with borax and took it w/a cup of water. Waited a day or so, nothing happened so I did it again, still felt no change or ill effect, I continued this for a wk and still got no ill effect or change in urine or stool, no headache, no rash, no flushing or anything, I will report back to this site w/my latest findings. I also have been taking epsom salt the same way for months and feel great, my stomach is flat finally and not bloated after any meals.
Yesterday I tried the Borax as suggested (1/8 tsp. To 1 litre of water) and got THE WORST cramping diarrhea EVER. Today my right kidney hurts severely and my sinuses are very painful. When I eat, I have a searing pain up over my right eye, into my forehead. I’m very unhappy over this, as I was really hoping for something that would help my rosacea and the possible fibromyalgia I suffer. 🙁
Ohh, well.. I guess I will use the rest for laundry and around the house!
I would stick with it if I were you. I too got extreme headaches and started feeling like I was coming down with an illness. I have been taking it for 3 weeks now and on about the 3rd day I started with the headaches, naseua, extreme fatigue, dizzyness, and just generally feeling yucky. I decided to stick it out and it lasted for about 1 week to 9 days. I am feeling way better now. I think it was the detox that my body was going through. I am hoping to get rid of all of the flouride in my body and I do not want to give up. I also had some pains in my kidneys and read Ted’s post about making sure to take magnesium with it. I have not had any pain since.
A bit late in the game, but wish Lilly Margate could post a follow-up on her initial post along with other things she may have tried.
I'm gonna take a wild guess here and say that not all types of borax are safe for internal consumption.
I have been trying to get rid of a fungal infection on my feet that I have had for years. Athlete’s foot and now, in the past, 2 years, severely cracked heels (a sign of fungus, I have read). The over-the-counter creams that I have used do work, but they don’t work permanently: the infection just moves around and later returns.
After reading up on the many of the remedies on Earth Clinic, I decided to make up my own recipe for a foot bath. So for the past 4 days, I have done the following: 3 heaping tablespoons of borax (20 mule team) dissolved in hot water, then added to a large tupperware storage container (cheap and perfect size for 2 feet).Add 1 cup of apple cider vinegar. Add enough hot water to cover my the bottoms of my feet and ankles.I soak my feet for 10-15 minutes every morning.
I can’t tell you at this point if it will cure the fungal infection. What I can tell you is that after 9 minutes, I get a very powerful taste in my mouth. It is the same taste I get when I am taking supplements to detox from heavy metals. What’s weird is that it happens every day at the 9 minute mark. (Coincidentally, oil pulling causes my sinuses to open at the 9 minute mark too). I think that this foot soak may be a powerful way to detox from heavy metals, particularly fluoride. I hope other people will give it a try and give me their opinions. I will report back with more results in a week or two.
Try coconut castile body wash for foot fungal problems. It really works!!!
