I read in this site about using borax to help with sinus infection as sinus is a fungus. I was wondering if i could use borax to do nasal irrigation/ flooding. I have sinus infection for years. Any info, please addvise. Thank you
I don’t know if borax would work, but I once had a sinus infection for about a 6 to 8 week period. Trying to avoid the doctors office, I made a solution of hydrogen peroxide and distilled water. I then put drops or the solution up my nose. I would lay upside down on my sofa ( hang my feet over the back and have my head towards the floor )
The mixture I use was 3% hydrogen peroxide 1/2 teaspoon mixed with 3 Tablespoons of distilled water.
It burned pretty bad but after about 36 hours, I blowed out this BLOODY MESS from my nose mixed with lots of congestion. My infection was gone and did not return.
I prefer to use herbs and vitimans and stuff though, but in this case I was desperate.
You may want to look at the TOMATO TEA on here under REMEDIES as I have had sucess using this and antibotics did not have to be used.
When I used the peroxide, I would do it about every 4 waking hours.
Using 1/2 teaspoon borax + 1/4 teaspoon sea salt in 8 oz filtered h2o, in neti pot for each nostril, twice daily, for chronic sinus issues (presumably mold triggered) which have plagued me for 5 years, and it's amazing after 1 month have recovered severely compromised olfactory function: I can smell w/80% efficiency, compared with say 10% previously. The borax really works well in neti pots!
Updated dosage!!!!! Of borax per 8oz neti pot (in case you don't see my recent post): for lingering sinus issues…. am now using 1 teaspoon borax + 1/4 teaspoon sea salt in 8 oz neti, twice in each nostril daily. After almost complete loss of both smell and taste, after 5 years of sinusitis…. fully restoring olfactory function is a pretty big deal…western medicine has nothing remotely as effective, with toxic pharmaceuticals, to be sure…
I had endoscoptic nasal surgery years ago to remove my nasal polyps. I lost my sense of smell before the surgery and have gained about 5% sense of smell after surgery. I am interested in the borax nasal wash, but I do not know where to purchase borax. Those who have used it, are you referring to the borax found on the laundry detergent aisle?
Hi. I noticed there are 5 months between your posts. Have you been doing this every day for 6 months? Did it never recover fully so that you could stop?
