I originally read about Clove for its antifungal properties, but then also read about its ability to detox the Liver from alcohol/aldehydes and lower blood sugar levels. Sometimes I'll just chew on a clove, but you can also make a tea boiling 15-30 cloves in a liter of water 5 minutes, then reduce heat simmer for 30 minutes. Then take a shotglass of the tea a few times a day. From PubMed: "The results suggest that the clove bud diet may attenuate hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, hepatotoxicity and oxidative stress in the type 2 diabetic condition."
