★☆☆☆☆WARNING!
I have been using coconut oil as a moisturizer for about a year now.
I read on numerous internet sites and blogs about how it was a miracle product for all kinds of skin ailments including acne.
So I started using on my face and body--it has been a great replacement for body lotion, and has mildly improved the keritosis pilaris on my upper arms, but using it on my face was a BIG mistake! I am still suffering from the consequences (pimples all over, including places where I had NEVER had them before). I have since learned that people with small pores, like me, should not use thick natural oils on the face, because the molecules are too large. People with larger pores (darker skin usually) can benefit from it, but it can really clog up people will small pores! Jojoba and tea tree oils are the only oils suitable for my delicate face.
Just want to warn others!

Coconut Oil I used organic cold pressed coconut oil and it made my skin worse than it already was.Within 3 days after using it on my skin and drinking the recommended amount I woke up in the middle of the night on fire,it was so bad on my face I had to use cortisone cream (prescription)just to calm down the rash on my face!It may work wonders for others but in my case, it just made a bad situation worse.

I love coconut oil, I sing it's praises to anybody who will listen. I've been using it on and off for a long time, and I love it. However DO NOT PUT IT ON YOUR FACE PEOPLE ! Just eat it, or on the body and hair is great.

I tried coconut oil on my face for winter dryness because I also have acne. It does moisturize but it also for me caused more breakouts and made me oilier. Honey works much better for me (I rinse it off after a few minutes) I do use coconut oil on my daughter's sensitive skin for general moisturizing and it is effective even for deep moisturizing.

Coconut oil gave me nothing but red skin and a billion tiny little whiteheads.
