Please advise when to use coconut oil for hair conditioner. Before shampooing, after while still wet, after dry? BTW, best moisturizer (face and body) ever used.
Also great for oil pulling (added 2-3 drops peppermint, tea tree or Idaho Balsam Fir essential oil) and taking internally. Day 3 and so far fantastic results.

Borax

I'm an African American Female and I use a relaxer in my hair every 6 to 8 weeks. Will the ACV and borax affect the relaxer? Thanks

Borax

I think the Borax would be fine for a Relaxer. Relaxers are as harsh as permanents, color etc. And if anything it would hopefully give your relaxed hair a more healthy shine and bounce. Good luck!!

You might try a zinc supplement to get back your darker colored hair. Sometimes it is a lack of zinc that is causing the lightening of natural pigment.

I have been also been heating up virgin coconut oil and putting it in my hair as a hot oil treatment. It washes out easily. Leaves my hair shiny and I don't use expensive hair products anymore. Since doing this my hair has stopped coming out in huge amounts anymore. I have a low thyroid and have suffered hair loss. But now my hair is coming back thicker and Im not losing it anymore at a high rate. Plus its cured me of a dry itchy flaky scalp also.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Baking Soda

I have been using a mixture of ACV, Baking Soda, and Water for a conditioner for about a week and a half. I use about 1/4 tablespoon of BS and ACV till the bubbling stops. then I add just enough water to complete filling a small cup About 3 inches high, 1/2 full. I apply just enough of this to soak my hair ( I do this in the shower ) and rub it in with my fingertips for about 1 minute, then I rinse it out. I have had mildly itchy scalp and hair that does not obey. Now I have no more tangles, my hair does what I want, and the itchy scalp is better. It's not gone yet, but is getting less itchy. Using this small amount of ACV does not leave any smell to my hair either. Thank you so much for this site. Ed

Jojoba Oil

After menopause my perfect hair became a nightmare. It is dry and stands straight up like something from a cartoon. I have tried many things - all of them natural - but the only success I have had is with straight jojoba oil. It takes very little and I occasionally put some on my dry hair if it needs a "touchup". It is cheap because you use so little at a time. I love it. The cure is cosmetic. If I go a few times without it, I am pretty much back where i began, however, rather than look like I just took my hand out of a socket, I'll settle until I can do better. (Yes, I do know about EFAs.)

Honey

Honey as a styling product: Frizzy or hard to manage hair? Try mixing 1/4 tsp of honey with a tsp of your styling product and dilute with about a tbs of warm water and comb through towel dried hair. I have long hair so ppl with short hair should use less. Style normally. The honey acts like a hair mousse and holds hair style all day, plus I found my hair had extra volume from the roots, which lasted until the next time day-- even after waking up (my hair is really heavey so it always went flat after 5 minutes of applying hair spray). Best styling product I have ever used its actually conditions your hair as you use it and smells great. Just becareful not to put too much honey in your hair other wise it'll go stiff.

Coconut Oil

I bought coconut oil originally for my hair, which makes the hair very shiny and silky. I used the end of a paint brush to apply it, worked it through, and left it on overnight with a wrap over it. Wash thoroughly the next morning, but do not use conditioner or any other additive, you won't need to for a few days, hair looks and feels great. I couldn't figure out how to "eat" it, which didn't seem desireable, but I added it to tea (black currant) and it was quite good, not very greasy, goes down very nicely!

Chamomile Tea

I used the acv and it works but I have a hint for people with winter scalp (flaky tight scalp). Steep 2 bags of chamomile tea in 2 cups warm water for 10 minutes. Add a dash of lemon juice and 15 drops of calendula (marigold) extract then pour onto scalp and let sit for 10 minutes and shampoo and condition as normal. I have done this 2x a week wince winter set in and it is perfect. No more flaking or redness.

I used Coconut oil as a hair conditioner to treat dry damaged hair. I use all natural hair care products from a wellness company I work for and the shampoo really dries my hair out pretty bad and the conditioner doesn't work at all, so I needed a natural hair conditioner and this worked awesome.

Sinusitis symptoms are:

1. Severe Cold
2. Nasal Congestion
3. Headache

4. Pain around eyebrows, eyes, nose areas
5. Sore Throat
6. Inflamed Throat

Nausea or mind fog are not sinus symptoms. Chances are you are having vertigo. Maybe you should consult a chiropractor.

What is your work type, continuous sitting or continuous standing. Prolonged same posture working habits can cause stress in the spinal chord that can manifest in your said symptoms.

If you are very sure about sinusitis, consult a good Homeopath to cure it. Homeopathy cures sinusitis at any stage.

For your congnizance and physical health. You should do SUN WORSHIP or SUN SALUTATION - which is a yoga exercise (SOORYA NAMASAKARAM) that will take only 10 mins in the morning in front of sun. You will see nice difference in one week in your cognizance.

SUN SALUTATION will cure most of the diseases balance your energy, balance your internal system, physical agility.

just google about SUN SALUTATION OR SOORYA NAMASKAR

Silicon Supplements

Try taking some foods rich with silicon. Such as nuts, horsetails, oatmeal, etc. Or you can take some silicon supplements in the form of orthosilicic acid or silicic acid, which is a water soluble form of silicon. Taken vitamin C will help strengthen or thinken the epidermis. Taking some magnesium seems to helpful. Apple cider vinegar have some traces of silicon and will help. But you need to reduce your intake of vegetable oils (they seem to destroy the liver) and is seen not helpful to the circulation as liver once not functionally as efficiently will not provide nutrients throughout the body.

Takin silicon supplements 5-10 mg/day seems to cause thickening of nails and hair within weeks. (They also grow faster)

Taking some rutin rich foods, such as bee pollen will help develop capillaries, which hopefully will be helpful for the scalp also.
