BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

WARNING! Im kinda irritated about this remedy, because although it does seem to have helped, it turns out for me and many people theres one serious side-effect to consuming a ton of garlic right before bed - insomnia or nightmares! Considering I'm sick, I neeeeeeded my sleep tonight, and its seven in the morning and I still havent been able to drift off. So, if you do this, plan ahead and make it many hours before your planned bedtime, hopefully you'll be able to fall asleep.

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

My ailment: bad sinus cold that was turning into bronchitis with heavy chest congestion. I followed the Tomato Tea recipe exactly as stated with the following additions: I doubled the recipe, added an extra 2 cloves of garlic (I also smashed the garlic with a knife to release the allicin before adding to pot), added salt, and heated on the stove for about 20 mins on low. I drank more than 6 cups of the tea over a period of 2-3 days.

What I noticed:

After the 1st cup: I felt worse! Sinuses, which weren't plugged up before, got plugged up. My congestion seemed to increase slightly, etc.

The next morning: I felt slightly better and realized I slept all night which I hadn't before.

After the next few cups: Sinus drainage, then sinuses plugged, on and off. With each cup, I now noticed the chest congestion easing.

Results: Symptoms subsided within 4 days.

WORKED TEMPORARILY

Tomato Tea for congestion. After reading about Tomato Tea on this website, I decided to try it to relieve my stuffy head. I used organic tomato juice, fresh lemon juice and as much hot sauce as I could tolerate. It did the job. It provided temporary relief from head congestion and made me feel better.

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

Tomato Tea Caution (Gallstones): I tried the tomato tea, using the exact recipe as posted by Jean. It tasted better than I expected, and it is working pretty well on my sinuses. I drank one serving 2 days ago, and have been getting rid of mucous steadily since then. However, I also have (pretty sure, US test coming in 3 days) gallstones. I believe the tomato tea triggered a nasty gallstone attack, since about an hour after I drank it, the pain started, and the burning when I vomited was horrible, throat felt like it was on fire. Could that have happened from the ingredients in the tea? I hope not, because I would love to drink it again for the sinus congestion, it is working for me even better than sea salt flush or ACV! Any advice would be appreciated. I have not posted before, but I have been recently diagnosed with some health issues, and I always come here first. I don't want drugs or surgery, and most important health issue is, I am obese, and trying my best to solve that first. I LOVE EC!

WORKED TEMPORARILY

I have horrible nasal congestion from when I go to bed until the next morning. The only thing that has worked effectively has been the nasal spray from the drug store, but I can't use that every day. 3 days on, 2 days off. I sound retarded with my nose like this. I tried the tomato tea as instructed and it worked for 10 minutes.

WORKED TEMPORARILY

I have been taking ACV for my seasonal allergies for a couple of weeks and it has worked wonders. Unfortunately, today I had to clean out our rental property that was filthy with cigarette smoke, dust, pet hair ect... A few hours after I finished, my allergies started acting up and the ACV didn't quite cut it. I can't breath from my nose, and my sinus' are very congested. I tried irrigating, but it didn't really work. I just tried the tomato tea without the lemon because I don't have any in the house and the stores are closed. It really helped while I was drinking it, but as soon as I finished it the congestion came back. I am going to drink some more before I try to go back to sleep. I can't wait to try it with the lemon. I'm going to drink it all day tomorrow. By the way I love the taste! I use raw garlic and cayenne all of the time to fight infections. I've grown accustom to the taste. Thank God for such inexpensive natural remedies!
