Hello, after reading your site, I started taking turpentine for my arthritis. I've been taking it for a little over a week. (1tsp turpentine/1tsp honey) After only a few days the arthritis pain was completely gone as was the pain from two bone spurs on my foot.
My question is this; I'm having stomach pain (intestinal). I am not sure if it is related or coincidence, but I wanted to ask, should I take less, or do you have a recommendation? I've seen other sites relating “turpentine poisoning” to severe stomach pain.
C: Turpentine is a powerful parasite & pathogen killer so folks that have a high number of these critters will experience "die-off" or "Herx reaction" as the toxins released from the dying bad bugs. This in turn can cause leaky gut syndrome or dirty colon.
To remedy this it would help by taking Activated Charcoal or Bentonite Clay prior to meals to capture the waste. One spoon of Milled Flax Seed with breakfast (goes good with cereal or fruit smoothies etc) will clean the colon. Aloe Vera compliments the MFS very well.
What brand do you use?
There is only one good source – as far as I know … in the USA and CA: diamondgforestproducts
The other is Windsor Newton
Take a little less when you feel anything wrong .. there is nothing bad about taking less
The pain you experience might be benzene. Try chicory coffee: it will break off the benzene.
You may want to try and drink 1 or 2 ounces of liquid bentonite clay to help with the gut pain from the turpentine. It is neutral, not active like turpentine, and will absorb toxins in the gut, from flu and food poisoning as well by smothering it and snuffing it out like a candle. You could have pain from raw gut exposed or just die off in the gut, the clay won't hurt you either way, but it will smother whatever is bothering you!
Maybe take some psyllium fiber and lay off the turp for a few days. The pain may be just a herxheimer reaction.
Did you by any chance take advil or anything like that before of after taking the turpentine? Because they will have a very violent reaction together.
Be careful, there are two types of turpentine: Medicinal and the type in a Hardware Store. Use only the medicinal for health, the other is toxic to you if used internally.
I was just wondering if taking the turpentine for candida would kill off any other parasites.
Yes, turpentine killed a parasite I had. Nasty bug that wreaked havoc in my body. Turp literally saved my life. BTW, my docs laughed when I asked them to check for parasites. It was a naturopath many months later (after I fired the docs) who agreed to a blood draw and found the buggers. By that time I had been on Turp, and I knew it was dead. Another blood test was required and it revealed it was in fact dead.
I am not aware of any negative reaction when taking turpentine and over-the-counter pain relievers. Please tell me where I can find more information about this topic. Thank you to all who share their insights and experiences on Earth Clinic.
I have been using turpentine and honey to treat severe arthritis for over a week but haven't seen any results as yet.
I'm using Klean Strip (from hardware store) but have ordered more from Georgia, I believe..Mountain something?) Is there a difference between the two? I have been using a 1:1 ratio of 1 tsp honey to 1 tsp turp. Should I up the dosage? How long can I expect to see results?
Also, I've read some mention “Bill.” How would I contact him for more information? Thanks
Dr. Jennifer Daniels says to put 1/3 to 1tsp on sugar cubes as to bait the fungus, yeast, parasites. Look her up on the web. She has a lot of radio show recordings you can listen to on her site. I think it's called vitalitycapsuls. Com
I am thinking of using Turpentine. I am also considering Ozone therapy. Would be interested in knowing if these would be in conflict with each other, and if so what I could do.
I recently used Dr Daniel's Turpentine protocol to remove Candida. She lists that people who have had Candida for more than two years might take Turpentine daily for 4 days. I only went 2 days, on that day it ran for the exit, literally, it was disgusting and creepy. My arthritus has improved though not yet gone. I stopped after that second day last Tuesday and plan to do it again tomorrow, exactly one week from last Tuesday. Except now I wil do her normal 2 doses a week plan. My leaky gut symptoms are nearly gone and my MSG sensitivity is drastically improved. You MUST purchase 100% pure gum spirits of Turpentine otherwise some other deadly chemicals could be in there and Turpentine is dangerous enough on it's own. I bought mine from Home Depot, though a gal told me some place in Georgia has the best stuff you can buy, maybe from the place already mentioned. My symptoms overall were Anxiety, Brain fog, facial cramping, restless leg, low energy, trouble urinating, slouching, intestinal ache/burn, massive carb cravings, etc.
I did 2 days of turpentine again but this time with one day in between. I had felt about 80-90% better and was testing the limits food wise which set me back some. I quickly had jock itch and horrible armpit smell, which the jock itch was not there before the multiple candida bowel movements last week.
I've tried tea tree oil and hydrogen peroxide but they did not seem to work. Now trying apple cider vinegar and maybe garlic next.
Anyway, on the second dose of Turpentine, Candida (or whatever it is) once again ran for the exit. I think I used to much turpentine this time as I did a week ago as both times, on the day that I had multiple bowel movements, afterward I felt drunk, probably from turpentine reaching the brain. Though never have I taken more than one teaspoon with three sugar cubes. Also, on those days that I had multiple bowel movements I drank a huge amount of water after taking the turpentine. I really wanted to give it an easy exit opportunity and I have to wonder if this is why on those days I had so many bowel movements verses the first day's dose, though it could just be a matter of cumulative days/doses. Also I wonder if all the water helped the turpentine travel through my blood steam to my brain to produce the drunk feeling.
Anyway, I'll be waiting again to let it get out of my system, and then I'll use a smaller 1/2 teaspoon dose with a lot of water after.
Like Softa, I too tried the turpentine for extreme arthritis but have seen results I was not expecting. I tried Dr Daniels protocol using the sugar cubes and 1 tsp. of turp. and have had 2 doses. The first on a Fri. and then the following up with the second dose on Tues. My back feels better (but wondering if that isn't due to the enemas). The unexpected result I experienced is that my left knee and right hip are in terrible pain, hurting more than ever. My knee seems to hurt the worst and oddly I didn't have pain in it before I started the protocol. I have also found that by drinking so much water my feet and legs swell up something awful so I did cut back on how much I drink. I keep a quart jar of distilled water with me at all times and drink from it throughout the day (refilling as I go) and my guess is that I am drinking about 3/4 of a gal., which I seem to be able to handle.I am also drinking juices that I make at home with my juicer. I will continue to try for a few more weeks to see if there are any improvements.
I first heard of turpentine being used as med. when I was very young from my grandparents and then again about 8-10 yrs ago from a gentleman in his mid 70's. My children had gotten head lice while in primary school and he told me I should give them a dose because it would get rid of anything. Of course I didn't because I thought it was poisonous. Seems his family used it as he was growing up.
If anyone knows why the pain in my knee and hip have gotten worse I would love to hear or any suggestions regarding the arthritis. I also have considered the oxygen therapy as well. The thought of drinking water that tastes like bleach doesn't appeal to me but if it helps the arthritis that would be worth it.
Mary: You are experiencing "detox reactions" from only two doses of turpentine. Chronic arthritis (pain & inflammation) isn't really a disease in itself, it is a symptom of disease caused by bad diet, toxicity, infection, etc.
Depending on the severity of your case (usually severity coincides w/ age) will determine how bad the "reactions" and how much time it takes to clear the bad stuff.
Here is a link to the detox page for more info http://www.earthclinic.com/cures/detoxification.html
For starters I highly recommend antioxidant nutrition (a deficiency of which causes many types of chronic and inflammatory conditions), Dr Christopher's "Red Clover Combination" herb caps, Epsom Salts/Baking Soda/Borax whole body hot baths, Iodine, and ACV. Detox Foot Spas & Patches are great for eliminating heavy metals and zenobiotics as well as parasites.

Mary, I believe your hurting in your knee and hip is due to your body getting rid of the arthritis. It takes a while for your body to rid itself of arthritis after you start taking the medicine like turpentine. I was checking out candida cleanse online and that protocol is taken for 6 weeks and it is understood that your body continues even after you are done with the program to rid your body of toxins. Usually, your body experiences effects of removing the toxins with nausea, aching, headaches, extreme fatigue, etc. Your body aching in parts where you have never experience pain is right there with the effects others have experienced. You will probably get worse before you get better but don't get discouraged. The way I feel about it is that the sicker I am while taking the stuff, the better I will feel when the body is finished releasing the toxins. If you do not get the results you hoped with taking turpentine, you might check out the book CANDIDA Killing So Sweetly by Bill Thompson. Also, be careful not to take too much of the turpentine at a time and don't take it too long. While it can be curing, it can also be deadly taking too much of it. Taking turpentine is suppose to be the last alternative in the Candida Cleanse like what you do when the regular cleanse does not get it all and the Candida returns again after you believe you have rid your body of all Candida. When you read the Candida book, you will see that Candida is the cause of your arthritis and when you get rid of the Candida, you will rid your body of the pain of arthritis. You will get rid of a myriad of other maladies also. You are obviously very smart because you are finding solutions for the problems your body is experiencing and not waiting on a doctor to help. There are many of us out here that are taking our help in our hands and looking for solutions. Don't stop searching and finding solutions….that is the true key. I believe this is one reason they say we are the generation to live to be 150 years old. We will not depend on traditional medicine to cure our ills.
Take a capsule of cayenne and a capsule of turmeric and a pinch of pepper after every meal…You should see a difference in less than a week…
I saw the reply about living to 150…I don't know about that but I'm living to 120 and will make the decision to go further at that point…Drugs will shorten your life…Educate yourself for your sake and your family's sake.
I was just wondering about the duration of the 1 tsp dosage before going to the preventative dose. Consecutively, how long (how many weeks) is it safe to take before reducing to the once or twice a week preventive dose? Thank you so much for all your info!! Lisa
Hi Lisa…In older times and in the satellite countries of Europe and in Germany, they would take turpentine/kerosene for 6 weeks a year for general health. Paula Ganner always maintained that kerosene was a blood purifier — it would act to kill any pathogen in the blood. Dr J Daniels uses sugar + 1 tspn turps for candida problems. But I prefer castor oil + turps because the castor oil both restricts the absorption of turps into the blood and keeps it in the intestines to kill candda there. The castor oil also helps to spread the turps throughout the intestines with its laxative action. Later on you could perhaps switch to the turps + sugar or turps + molasses protocols to more efficiently kill the candida and other pathogens that are still in the blood.
The preventative dose is on a one day on and one day off basis and is meant to help those who have massive initial Herx die-off reactions by having a day off after you take the turps– this makes for a gentler ride for the user when you initially kill all that candida.
If you want to take consecutive turps doses for a particular problem then I would take turps for five days and then have two days off turps and do it like this for about 6 weeks only. This protocol will help to get rid of most pathogens and parasites from your body.
Hi, why castor oil? Can it be coconut oil? Thank you
In my country I've read about taking turpentine oil on sugar 3-5 drops per day, no more. Also, here they sell it pharmacies – the one which is for health-care purposes.
I have not been using it internally, but as part of home-made ointments (with olive oil, beeswax, herbs, resins, and essential oils) for my sprained ankle, knee and arm. I think it has a warming effect and a pleasant aroma. I use something like 10-5 ml per cup of oil.
If I am not mistaken, Jennifer said to drink 32 oz. of water per 60 pounds of body weight PRIOR to taking the turp.
For arthritis, I would add some 'borax' to the mix. Borax is touted as the single miracle cure for arthritis in some circles. It is said to balance all the hormones, too. Some call it the natural viagra. There are dozens and dozens of links with all sorts of testimony's to peruse. I use the "Mule Team, " brand you find in the supermarket near the laundry soap section. Good Luck!
I wanted to know how you did with Klean Strip. I jut purchased one that says Pure Turpentine from Tree Resin and I know others have used it, but there's this bit of resistance. Is there any difference between the two you ordered?
You might want to stop coffee altogether until you get the parasites out of the system.
I quit drinking it, it is just too acidic. and reduce the amount of Turp to begin with, let your system built up enough strength to eliminate the parasites.
YOUR PAIN IS CALLED DETOX PAIN /HERXHIEMER EFFECT.. caused by rapid detoxing what to do…this ….>> cut your amount in half ..if the pain persists then do it 1 day 1 day off till the pain stops then increase dosage to every day…if pain comes back reduce dosage again till the detox pain goes away…then n gradually increase dosage you will be ok…if you have to stop the dosage for a few days..I had the same thing then as the detox progressed and removed the toxins the pain decreased till it vanished
Don't use Klean-Strip. Check your local art supply store to find pure turpentine. It is more expensive but higher quality and taste pretty good with sugar. I use the brand GRUMBACHER. 1 teaspoon turpentine mixed with 1 teaspoon sugar. When taken right before meals, the turpentine is pushed down in to your small intestines by your food. If taken on an empty stomach the turpentine goes straight into your bloodstream which is okay for blood born diseases but does not do much for Candida issues.
I checked the Klean Strip version of turpatine and as I recall the ASTM D4236 I labeled on the packaging as well as it being 100% pure (Max VOC 100%). it should be the same as other brands.
I am wanting to flush out parasites and try to get rid of the arthritis in my back and knees. Would turpentine help with the arthritis? There have been many brands mentioned in the comments above but I am wondering if they are all as safe and effective as the Diamond Brand from Georgia? I don't want anything toxic or poisonous in my system!
Also someone mentioned using Borax for arthritis. Is this to be used in the bath or internally somehow?
Borax amount to take for women is generally described as 1/8th teaspoon (for women, men is 1/4 teaspoon) put it in a bottle of water and sip it throughout the day. P.S. Borax has the same toxicity level as salt… It has a very minor flavor, slightly bitter. From my experience it does seem to help with hormone and can ease Arthritis symptoms. I have tried the turpentine for candida and gut health. it did seem to help but I have not used it much really. I do plan to start a regular regiment of that and some other things soon.
Hi Maria: Diamond is the best and only company I would trust my body to. I can't take huge amounts of anything because of other medical problems so I take 1/4 teaspoon of Turpentine once a day and rub it on the bottoms of my feet, that is where you absorb more of anything plus your stomach and chest. Good luck
Hi, When I took the turpentine I passed a large roundworm in my stool a couple days later, which was great. started doing coffee enemas, which were recommended by Drn years ago. The black coffee enemas are to clean the buildup from the colon, and are great to help restore health, but when I took the enema, I felt a sudden almost electric shock in my stomach, and a few minutes later I felt a parasite (s) quickly moving around in the flesh of my right butt cheek! I smashed them physically, and have found others in other body locations since then. So I believe the coffee turpentine combo chased these from my intestinal tract and into my body to escape. Your knee and hip pain could be the same. The pain could be caused by parasites that were living in your colon, and they've now moved to a new location to escape the turpentine. If I were you, I'd continue taking the turpentine, and hopefully it will eventually get them.
Hi, thanks for your post on Turpentine and the coffee enemas; I'm having pretty good luck with 1/4 tsp of Turp for my parasites and hope I can increase that amount higher soon. I have a blocked Sigmoid colon and the blockage is fairly close to my rectum so the enemas don't work, although when I first started them some parasites were in the near end of my colon and saw those but I have used several rounds of Balck Walnut and its partner and have pretty much cleaned my intestines; I have read that you should not use Black Walnut, etc more than 3 times a year. I was full of the worms that I have gone over that recommended time. When You speak of the worms you feel in your butt I have been awakening many times at night and could hardly close my mouth due to the swelling inside my cheeks of those blasted things and also in the area your tonsils are located. I would take Oregano oil, diluted and put 1 drop in a Dollar Tree nasal spray bottle and fill it with water to top of the bottle and irrigate my nasal passages, got quick relief and I also use 3% HP, undiluted and rinse my mouth and gargle with it, that also seems to kill them off if in my throat. What I have noticed in using the Turp first thing in the AM that I am able to cough up a bunch of stuff. I seem to have more problems now with my lungs and sinus/head but hope that the Turp will kill them off. I also use Cloves Bud oil and take 10 drops., undiluted with 3 drops of undiluted Neem oil, that also, I'm told and read, will kill the eggs. I have to be careful of the Cloves because of a Stint I had when suffered a heart attack back in Dec 2014. Hope you have wonderful success with your protocol and appreciate your suggestions.
