Reverse Osmosis Water
Posted by Sam (Commerce Twp, Michigan/USA) on 02/21/2009
Adding minerals to Reverse Osmosis Water: Since R.O water lacks any minerals, is it still necessary to add a liquid mineral to R.O water if one is taking a good quality mineral supplement- in pill form.
Also, I have been taking Apple Cider Vinegar, (2 teaspoons in 16 oz water),but since it is acidic, should I be adding baking soda to bring the ph up to 7-8 or doesn't it matter?
Yogic Water Treatment

Try my yogic water treatment. It will have you feeling better and looking rejuvenated in a matter of days.
When you wake up, try and drink at least a glass of water on an empty stomach. In a hot climate, you may try and work your way to two glasses of water. This is not as easy as it sounds. Don't worry if it takes a few days to get to your target amount of water.
Having finished drinking your water, stand up gently and stretch your hands above your head as far as they will go. Stand on your tiptoes to elongate the stretch. If you are feeling slightly sluggish (very possible since this is first thing in the morning), walk around the room on your tiptoes with your hands stretched in the air. Otherwise, you can just stretch up and then down again. Do this for a couple of minutes and then gently lower yourself to the floor, lowering your hands as well.
Then stand with your feet apart and stretch gently from side to side. Do this a couple of times but do so gently.
Last of all, with your feet slightly apart, stretch your hands to the side. Pretend you have a piece of cloth held tight in your hands and stretched behind you. Twist around to face backwards and try and keep this imaginary cloth as taut as possible. If you find this stretch too easy, then let go off the "cloth" at the end moment and grab one hand on one of your shoulders and the other on the side of the rib cage. Do this a couple of times each side.
This entire routine should take no longer than four or five minutes. The idea behind this is that the water that you drink hydrates and cleans out your internal organs, rejuvenating your body and bringing light and life to your face.
Decontaminating Water
Posted by K.Lynn (Mt.Healthy, Ohio) on 01/07/2009
I'm confused over the healthy drinking water debate. could someone please tell me, as I've been boiling our water on the stove for 5-10 minutes after boil to decontaminate. we have traditional city water but it tastes horrible from all the additives. Do I need to add anything after boiling to make it healthier? Thankyou

Water should be kept in copper pot. Never sleep after drinking water but walk for some time. During water therapy never drink water after meal for two hour. Do it regularly.

I brush my teeth 7+ times a day, by the way I never have cavities. This amount of brushing still never stops the film --- however, when i was drinking 3/4 gal of water a day (there was about 3 months of my life that I did this) the film totally disappeared! it's true.

Water! It helps keep your throat moist. Keep water at your bedside for when you wake up and whenever your throat is feeling dry, drink water.

I suffered for years with sinus infections. My last sinus infection lasted an entire year. I read a book called: "Your Body's Many Cries for Water" written by a doctor. I began drinking at least 2 liters of water a day, and have not had ANY form of a cold or sinus infection since. An added bonus, I have lost weight without even counting calories.

I've been a vegetarian for many years. And although I'm not 100% vegan, I rarely eat dairy (except yougart). I get plenty of exercise and I don't smoke and I rarely drink (red wine once a month). In spite of all this, I have been suffering from CFS for the last 7 years. Through diligence and hard work, many of the symptoms have slowly faded away. Recently, I got one of Kevin Trudeau's books and in that book he talks alot about the wonders of apple cider vinegar and pure distilled water. I've also researched this on the net and it all seems to be true. So for the last two weeks I've been drinking 8 full glasses of distilled water everyday and I've been taking 2 tablespoons of vinegar a day. I've noticed some obvious improvements. The most significant thing that I noticed is that I no longer have such dry skin and my scalp isn't flaky anymore. Also, it seems I'm sleeping better and I don't crave sweets has been lessened. Nonetheless, in spite of all the good news, I've been experiencing something that's totally unexpected and very unusual. I'm constipated. I've never had a problem with constipation. Even in my worst days with CFS I was never constipated. But now, every other day it seems I'm struggling to get something to come out. This is really baffling to me because I'm drinking more water than ever before and I have more energy, yet I'm suffering from constipation. Do you know what may be causing this?

I've suffered from a bad knee most of my life. If it isn't bone on bone, it sure feels like it. While nothing really helps, when I do not drink plenty of water, the pain and swelling get real bad when I stand or walk for any duration. Have been taking ACV/bs for 2 weeks now and so far no relief. But it is working on my Blood Pressure so I'll keep taking that. I just need a new knee.

I have had severe IBS for 6 years. Before that time I could eat anything, never a stomach problem and my health was excellent. Since then I have tried every diet there is with the results that if I eliminated anything acid including citric acid which is in a lot of drinks and foods I could get by but I was still severely affected by IBS. Just one week ago I decided to try only drinking bottled water because I suspected my tap water even though we have a filtration system. I have not felt this good in 6 years. I am able to eat things (chocolate) that I haven't eaten in years. I have not been able to eat any fruits, any juices, most vegetables, in the last 6 years. I have not started to put all of them back in my diet yet as I am taking things slowly but this has been a HUGE improvement. The water I have been drinking is from a natural spring but nothing expensive (64 cents a gallon). Drinking bottled water has also improved my husbands health as he has had a skin irritation for several years that doctors could not diagnose. We both thinks it's the chlorine in the water system. By the way it isn't just the water in Florida causing the problem because we both had our health problems begin in Delaware where we also had a water filter on the tap.

Hi, I also have Occasional gout. For many years I tried several different medicine pills. Only one worked novomethicine and the pill is worse than the gout! I found a natural cure to gout thru a friend. Drink gallons of distilled water! The distilled water works like reverse osmosis on the gout and within a few days of drinking only distilled water, the gout symptoms disappear. works for me, wonder if anyone else might want to give it a try! Thought I might pass this on. Al

I am a field geologist, and a few years I started to develop severe gout-like symptoms in my foot. These symptoms generally occurred after working in areas where I tended to get overly dehydrated (desert or tropical environments). I have found that massive hydration (drinking 2-3 liters of water over an hour or two) tends to almost immediately (within a few hours) reverse my symptoms. Hydration generally keeps me gout free, and when gout does occur (very rarely now), it is the gout "cure" for me. It sounds almost too simple (and cheap) to be true, but it works for me.

I've had some bad bouts with gout. Anyone that has never had it, can't understand the pain associated with it. The best way for me to describe it, is it feels like you just broke your foot, ankle, or BIG TOE and now someone has put it in a vise and is tightening it in a slow torturous fashion. Most of the time before I get an episode, I will get an ever so slight "twinge" of pain, warning me that I had better start drinking copious amounts of WATER and lay off some of the things that have caused attacks in the past. But after its been a while between attacks, I'll sometimes forget exactly how excruciatingly painful it really was and not heed the numerous warnings, and before you know, it sneaks up from behind you, taps you on the shoulder and hits you right between the eyes!! (or should I say Big Toe) And says I told ya I was com'in. So all in all, listen to your body and drink plenty of WATER.

After my last gout attack and starting my self on a PH balancing regiment with ACV and Baking Soda. During the summer months, I tend to buy a lot of filtered bottled water (not distilled). One day I was reading a label very closely and they state that this water has added potassium and sodium bicarbonate to replace the minerals lost through sweat. As a benefit, the ph is 9. So for those looking for a portable bottled water to help with disolving uric acid, Essentia touts increased alkakinity for health. The same ideal that Ted preaches. It helps me maintain a healthy PH when I can't added Baking soda to water. For more info. http://www.essentiawater.com/info.html
Seltzer Water for Constipation

The first time my sister was pregnant she tried every product she could find for constipation. During her second pregnancy I suggested she drink seltzer water. I had read about it in a magazine. I also had cravings for seltzer water during my last 2 pregnancies and never had any problems with constipation. She told me she didn't like the taste and couldn't drink it. A few weeks later she let slip she was mixing it with juice and was actually regular for once.
