Wheatgrass is also great for your pets. I know my two cats love to munch on it. It provides a great addition to there diet. I also find that they aren't as hungry when I let them have wheatgrass. I used to have to always have food in a dish or they would think they were dieing. Ya, I know it bad for them, but I don't like being Meowed to death. I got them a kit from the pet store and let them eat what they wanted of it after it grew, and all of the sudden I didn't have to go and put a couple of kibbles in the bowl to keep me sane. My female has thinned out a bit, still a fatty, but a little fatty not a huge fatty. Both of their coats have improved, so soft and silky. They are more playful, and overall feeling great. I know that most animals can eat it, but I would check online to see the amount that Rats, Hamsters, and Birds can eat. I know dogs and cats can eat it until they turn into it. The product I purchased was a growing kit that included Organic Soil, along with Organic seeds. The seeds sprout quickly, and the after the grass matures it lives for about three weeks. The kit less than $10, and I split the seeds so I have a couple of months of grass for my house heifers, as my husband calls them.
