Fibroid Remedies
"Uterine fibroids (singular Uterine Fibroma) (leiomyomata, singular leiomyoma) are benign tumors which grow from the muscle layers of the uterus. They are the most common benign neoplasm in females, and may affect about 25% of white and 50% of black women during the reproductive years. Uterine fibroids often do not require treatment, but when they are problematic, they may be treated surgically or with medication ? possible interventions include a hysterectomy, hormonal therapy, a myomectomy, or uterine artery embolization. Uterine fibroids shrink dramatically in size after a woman passes through menopause.
Fibroids are named according to where they are found. There are four types: Intramural fibroids are found in the wall of the womb and are the most common type of fibroids found in women. Subserosal fibroids are found growing outside the wall of the womb and can become very large. They can also grow on stalks (called pedunculated fibroids). Submucosal fibroids are found in the muscle beneath the inner lining of the womb wall. Cervical fibroids are found in the wall of the cervix (neck of the womb). In very rare cases, malignant (cancerous) growths on the smooth muscles inside the womb can develop, called leiomyosarcoma of the womb." (Wikipedia)

07/21/2007: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand: "When the body is sufficiently alkalized, the serum calcium normalizes, causing a reduction in cysts and fibroids. Fibroids are a bit tough since the calcium goes deeper than a cysts and will take some time, sometimes with iodine foot painting now and then might be helpful, such as once a week. Normally cysts takes about a month to reduce or in some cases be gone, as the blood will clear up the excess tissue calcium, thus reducing the cysts. Ovaries and menses can only function perfectly whenever the excess calcium in tissues and glandular functions are reduced.
This can be done by getting the proper alkalization so that glandular functions can function normally, and hence normal menses, as well as normal pregnancy, without the blocked fallopian and uterus problem. Some women sadly can't get pregnant because of block fallopian tubes which can be due to fibroids or somes cysts and the ACV and baking soda may help reduce this blockages, or even a lemon and baking soda remedy will also get similar results.
While the lemon (lime) is more effective on alkalizing and potassium, the ACV is more effective on the body's metabolic rate, and hence some reduce weight is experienced. It doesn't require rocket science to realize all this. Only a good understanding of normal body functions. Ideally the ACV and baking soda is taken 3 times a day, but some people find it more convenient to do it 2 times a day because of the heavy work schedules, or other factors."
Replies02/08/2009: Mary from Galway, Ireland replies: "Could you tell me what how much cider vinegar and bread soda to use? Also, I am a bit confused because many posts mention ACV and molassess instead of baking soda, Which combination is best for getting rid of fibroids? Many thanks, Mary"
EC: To date, we have no feedback from our readers re: Ted's remedies for fibroids. Readers are rather reporting good results from ACV and molasses, 2 popular remedies on the site.

12/23/2009: Christina from Albuquerque, New Mexico replies: "First THANK YOU Ted for sharing your knowledge, it is greatly appreciated. I was diagnosed with one large (13cm) fibroid Nov 14, 2008. I totally agree that alkalinity is the way to cure dis-ease within the body. Oxygen is very very important -cancer and disease can NOT live in a body that has proper oxygen.
I know this is scary having something foreign living in our bodies but getting stressed over this will not help it will make things worst. So the first thing to do is take a Huge deep breath and focus on what we CAN do. And it is important to realize that something that took months or years to grow is NOT going to go away by taking something for a week or two.I was told my only option was a full hysterectomy, I am 41 and haven't had children. I totally believe in getting a 2nd or more opinions. (Unless your life is in danger)
Don't be "scared" into getting a hysterectomy it is a major invasive surgery. For some it is the only answer. I decided to seek alternative medicine, focusing more on the mind/body connection. Herbs,Yoga and Meditation can do wonders.....
I believe by cleaning up your diet and exercising we can get a grip on our situation (I am a Certified Wellness/Physical Fitness Specialist and a Personal Trainer). Eliminating as much stress as possible is a necessity. My tumor was found after one of the most stressful times of my life. So it is crucial to evaluate where you are and how you got there. Do you smoke, drink, eat junk all day? I know from personal experience that alcohol can wreck havoc on your system.
Using the vingar and molasses will help IF you stick to it and make it a priority. And yes cayenne pepper does stop bleeding BUT you need to take large amounts which you can get in capsule form, Native Americans have used it for centuries. Also castor oil packs are great. I use a heating pad for cramps.
It is unfortunate that there is so much mis-information out there....But I've believed since day one that having a hysterectomy is not something I want to do. So I will continue to search, pray and follow my intution that there is another way. To all my Fibroid Sisters I wish you all Wellness and Health :) Much Love ~ Christina"
01/12/2010: Maki from La, Ca replies: "Hi Christina, I'm in the exact situation as you, thanks for sharing, I'll go your way as well. Infinite love and gratitude, And Thank you Ted for sharing your remedies. I'll try my best to follow!

02/06/2010: Nichole from Silver Spring, Md replies: "CONSULT A NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR IN YOUR AREA. THEY HAVE ALL OF THE HERBAL REMEDIES FOR FIBROIDS AND BLOCKED TUBES. ALSO, YOU MUST DETOX YOUR BODY AND GO ON A RESTRICTIVE DIET: NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS, NO DAIRY, NO SOY, GLUTEIN FREE, NO PROCESSED FOOODS, NO FRIED FOODS, ALL FOOD SHOULD BE ORGANIC, PLENTY OF WATER, DON'T MICROWAVE, NO PLASTIC BOTTLES OR FOOD CONTAINERS, POTS SHOULD BE STAINLESS STEEEL ONLY IE. NO NON-STICK COATING CAST IRON POT IS GOOD, ORGANIC SOAPS LOTIONS HAIR SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONERS, COLD PRESSED OLIVE OIL, FRESH FRUIT AND VEGES DAILY."
07/13/2010: Tanya from San Mateo , Ca replies: "Re: Nichole's suggestion. My body does NOT do well without meat. I can do without dairy but I get sluggish, both physically and mentally, when I don't eat any meat or fish. But eating whole, natural, organic foods is crucial. And if a fibroid indicates an overabundance of estrogen, then stay away from estrogen producing foods like soy. Just my experience is all. . . ."
07/25/2010: Debra from Christiansburg, Va replies: "I agree with Tanya, Nichole's suggestion is good, but not everyone has the access or the money for those choices. Also, everyone's body is different. I tried a Vegan diet and it made me depressed with anxiety and insomnia. I put meat back in my diet and I am much better. Dairy is actually not good for most people (especially those with fibroid tumors) and the Lactose causes the mucus in your body to thicken and your membranes to swell. If you stop eating dairy and substitute coconut/almond/rice milk instead you will notice a significant reduction in sinus allergies and colds. Choose organic whenever possible. Minimize the canned food. There is range-fed beef in stores which is good. Most of the meat in the stores is from animals that have been fed steroids and that is the main thing that is bad for you. Also, there is a lot of Iron in red meat. Eat salmon or other fish which are high in the Omega 3 oils. I read that Flax seed is very good for reducing the estrogen level and therefore good for reducing an estrogen eating fibroid and they are also high in Omega 3 as well. You can purchase flax seed meal at any natural food store or natural food section in a regular grocery store. Mix a tablespoon in juice 3 times a day before meals. The blackstrap molasses and apple cider vinegar are also excellent choices. Make sure you take plenty of iron, magnesium and B-Complex. Multivitamins are also necessary. Plenty of exercise and time out for yourself is a must. I have three fibroids growing now after have three removed one year earlier. Thanks for all the tips and I am right there with you."
08/18/2010: Shari from Huntsville, Texas replies: "I have a fibroid that has been bothering me. I also got sick w/allergies. I have never had allergies before. I was so full of fluid in my throat and even in my face. It took about 6-8 weeks to get rid of it. So reading your comments, are fibroids and allergies connected? Asking, as I would not have ever come to that conclusion. Thanks"
[YEA] 11/26/2010: Kcm from Baldwin, Ny replies: "A year ago during a check up my Doctor was concerned about the size of my uterus. He thought it was fibroids and recommended I see my GYN Doctor. My GYN Doctor agreed that my uterus was extremely large and sent me for a sonogram. I was told my uterus was as large as if I was five/six months pregnant. I did research and saw this site which recommended ACV. I tried taking it but it made me feel sick. I have never been able to digest vinegar well even when it was used to prepare food.A family friend told my Mom about Chickweed Tea. She had drank it a few times a day over a long period of time and it shrank her fibroids. I starting drinking it but didn't like the taste it wasn't too bad but I starting taking the pills instead of drinking the tea. It has been just about a year later and I just saw my GYN Doctor who was shocked to see how much smaller my uterus had become. I am convinced it was the Chickweed pills. You can get the pills or the tea at the health food stores and vitamin stores. I had also lost 19 pounds since the last time visiting the Doctor and the family friend said it is good for losing weight also. I hope info helps anyone who cannot take the ACV like me."
[SIDE EFFECTS] 04/26/2011: Santi from San Pablo, Ca replies: "I followed the Vinegar and baking soda for just a day and the my stomach could not take it. It was too acidic for me. I understand the concept of alkalizing the body to deal with fibroids, etc, but then ACV is acidic, not alkaline (unless I am mistaken). Any explanation? After taking this, I have been having burning pain in my stomach that wakes me up in the night (its really bad in the night) and my physician tells me its because my stomach has become too acidic. Maalox, warm water and not having any acidic food is helping me a bit - I am hoping this goes away. In future I would just use tums to get my body alkaline to deal with fibroids."
04/26/2011: Debbie from Melbourne, Australia replies: "Santi by adding the baking soda to the ACV you were making the ACV too alkaline. The stomach acid is The normal pH range for stomach acid is between 1.5 and 3.5. ACV has a pH of about 5 which is less acidic that stomach acid. By adding the baking soda you are further making the stomach acid less acidic. You probably had the pain because your stomach was too alkaline not too acidic and could not digest your food."
04/30/2011: Santi from San Pablo, California replies: "Debbie, thanks for the explanation - so based on what you're saying, the ACV actually makes the stomach less acidic (as it has a lesser PH than the regular stomach acid). It does make sense except for the fact that the only thing that stopped the burning in my stomach was Maalox (which is very alkaline). So I'm kind of still confused..."
06/16/2011: Demet from Seattle, Usa replies: "I was diagnosed with a 1cm uterine fybroid. This is new to me. I've had terrible pain in my pelvic area and felt very sick recently and even went to the emergency room. I'm not bleeding any more than a normal period, just feeling uncomfortable pain. Do you think this formula might help me with the pain?"
08/05/2011: Sassi from Ibd, Pk replies: "hey ted I have the same problem as she has written above 4 months back, multiple small fibroids were diagnosed largest one was of 15mm. At that time me and my partner were planning a baby for 9 months but no out come. I m worried doctor has given me medicines to shrink but another doc told me that taking that medicine has more side effects than its benefits. Plzzzzz help me in this regard. I want babies in future im only 25 year old. Ted plzz tell me which combination is suitable for me to shrink my subserousal and submucosal fibroids even I dont have any symptoms of fibroids like heavy bleeding or cramps except slight pelvic pressure pain."

ADENOMYOSIS
06/04/2011: Peral from Usa: "Hi Ted,
I have read so much about your site. I just want to ask just one question. I have Adenomyosis,
(A 7CM Adneomyoma of the uterus). It was shown on the pelvic sono as a fibroid. I went to another doctor and took an MRI, shows that I have Adenomyosis, of course I do have few 1.4 cm fibroids. This is on the right side of me and never hurts. For years I have been having pain on my left side where a Adenomyosis was found. I took to a holistic ND, who said for me not to drink green tea, because green tea has caffeine and this makes fibroids grow more. She said to drink red raspberry tea. I am confused, because on your site, there are talks about green tea being good for fibroids. I used to drink decaffeinted with (4% caffeine). Ted Please let me know any suggestion to shrink Adenomyosis. This is a growth inside of the uterus, the opposite of Endometroisis. I was told that enzyme breaks up fibroids tissue. Please let me know your suggesttion of these growths on the uterus. Adenomyosis is a thickening of the uterus.
Thanks Ted."
Replies10/22/2011: Mary from Bethel Island, Ca replies: "Ok... I have never offered a testimonial before but here goes... 4 years ago I was diagnosed with fibroids (6 over 10 cm each). I had transfusions in hospital and was given progesterone. 2 years ago I went off of it and things were relatively normal until this month when my period was back to gushing and clotting. The doc phoned in a prescription for more tablets but I haven't made it to the pharmacy yet. Why? Because, as I am sure you are familiar with, the last two days have been period hell. The furthest I have gone is bathroom to bed.Lying in bed at 4 am today I realized I was going to miss my usual Saturday women's group breakfast. I grabbed my iPad and found this site. Apple Cider Vinegar? Really? so I went out to the kitchen swallowed two huge tablespoons, choked back some nausea and hit the shower. I felt better than I had so I got dressed and headed to town... Half an hour away... Armed with supplies to make a quick change when I got there, but didn't need to. Sat for an hour and got up last making a mad dash to the restroom to stop the gushing. But, no gushing, hardly a trickle. Could it have worked so fast? Stopped by the market for a few things. The more I walked the better I felt. Bought ACV tabs. Drove the half hour back home... Went to the bathroom, no gushing or even bleeding. No pain. Not even that tired...... I can't believe this is happening but I am glad for it. Can't wait to update you all on the results of my next ultrasound. God bless you for this."
11/10/2011: Shelly from Turlock, United States replies: "Hi:). I am 34 no children yet.. About 9 years ago I learned had a small fibroid about the size of a nickel then.. Nothing to be concerned with. About 2 years I began a fertility work up BC we have been trying to conceive for almost 10 years with no luck:(. All my tests and procedures came back good! We found out my husband whom has a son from previous relationship actually has a low count.. So we began to consider options to increase the chances for his sperm. When I went in for an ultrasound before starting shots my dr saw something odd and realized I have a rather large (7cm) pedunculated suberosal fibroid. I had a proper ultrasound done to be sure & as soon as it was official she said my options are surgery or luperol to shrink it. Neither option sounded good to me:(. I've read to many negatives about both. I was devastated it almost ruined my marriage... I just couldn't understand why god was making this so hard for my husband & I. About a year ago we got back on track thank god:). Now we are ready to try ivf if they say it's possible with my growth???Now I'm on here & super curious about ACV and baking soda & all this suff! ? I've always had regular cycles... 26-28 days apart and last for about 4-5 days total. Severe cramps & fairly heavy bleeding. My fibroid being on the outside actually doesn't effect periods but it's in the way of my baby dreams! My questions are have any of you seen actual shrinkage of your fibroids from ACV etc? Also do any of you have my type of fibroid? Pedunculated suberosal outside top of uterus on a stalk??
Thanks so much! Any info & advice is deeply appreciated!!! Respond on here or email me: love2teach77(at)aol.com
Thanks again! Shelly"

04/17/2012: Texmex from Paisley, Scotland: "I have suffered subserosal fibroids along with endometriosis and endo cyst in the left ovary for 5 years, the pain used to be crippling but I was given prostap injections along with mirena coil and it worked wonders. 5 years on and all hell has broken out. I have absolutely no pain but the fibroid and cyst started to flare up again, I was given another round of prostap which has shrunk the cyst slightly but teh fibroids have remained the same. They are not keen on giving me a hysterctomy as they said it was too dangerous. I am currently taken a herbal rememdy of Angus Cactus and Female Essence but have seen no difference. Would the ACV work in reducing the fibroids or is it only effective if you are having bleeding as well?"

09/06/2011: Lady D from Miami, Fl: "I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP ME. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH FIBROIDS FOR OVER 6 YEARS ALL THE DOCTORS WANT TO DO IS CUT ME UP. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. I TOOK THE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR AND MY PERIOD CAME DOWN WORSE THAN BEFORE AND LASTED LONGER MAYBE I DID NOT TAKE THE RIGHT DOSAGE SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW MUCH I AM SUPPOSE TO TAKE AND HOW MUCH WATER. THANKS LADY D"
Replies09/06/2011: Carly from Seattle, Wa - Usa replies: "Hi Lady D -I am now 50 with no signs of menopause. I have had fibroids and ovarian cysts (off and on, mostly on) for about 20 years. They are SO MUCH better now. I take ACV daily when I have my period, and just once in a while the rest of the month now.
(One oz ACV mixed with 1/2 tsp baking soda, when it stops bubbling add 14 oz water and 2 oz orange juice for taste killing properties. ;)
Taken during my period it about cuts my heavy (and I mean HEAVY) bleeding in HALF. I am not even kidding. If it is mind over matter, that is one hell of a suceptable mind I have. lol.
I am writing to say that if you seem to not tolerate the ACV - as not everyone does for some reason - I would suggest you start taking 1 tablespoon of (UNSULPHERED) Blackstrap Molassas every day. I take mine in my coffee. Since I started taking it daily I have backed off of the ACV daily - as it has made me feel darned, darned GOOD, and also seems to have taken away the heavy bleeding as well. It is full of minerals and it is amazing stuff. Lots to read about the benefits of BSM here on Earth Clinic and on the web re menstrual issues!
I buy mine on the baking isle at the grocery store. At first I wasn't terribly fond of the flavor, but now my coffee just wouldn't taste right without it!
Best wishes of good health to you - I feel for you. ~Carly"
12/07/2011: Kathleen from Charlotte, Nc Usa replies: "In my own research for this problem or cysts I have used ACV now as a regular part of my life. (btw put it straight on a bu bite and itch/swelling gone w/in minutes). Aloe Vera Juice is also a regular in my regimin. People, just add a few drops of stevia to either for better taste or a juice like Cran/Rasberry something non citrus.I have read that Myrrh has been used for years with female issues successfully and helps colds etc. Just google 'Myrrh fibroids'. I also read many testamonies about a product online Fibrovan which the main ingredient is Nannokinasse (great for the heart too).
Biggest issue with Fibroids is associated with Stress, Fear, Unforgiveness. I'm a Chiristian so I use the Bible and prayer for the above. My life recently had a series of stresses that I know are the root of my issue. We must deal with the root causes for complete healing. I read about a woman who fought w/ her ex constantly, then left for an extended vacation in another country (6 months I think), she went to the Dr and her Fibroids were gone, she returned to the USA and more fighting with her ex and the fibroids returned.
I learned about Myrrh benefits and others at www.herballegacy.com Yellow Dock is also beneficial according to Dr Christopher's experience. Just do a search there for Fibroid. Cleanse your body and start with your colon first since everything is eliminated through it. I've also read good things on using progesterone (look for pure as some creams have parabens) Eliminate all Paraben creams/cleansers from your life. (see dr john lee's books/website). There is another website that shares about cleansing the reproductive organs and has kits available at http://natural-fertility-info.com/ even if you are not trying to get pregnant they have great products to keep your organs healthy.
Hope this helps and blesses someone! Be Well!!"
05/15/2012: Cap4luv from Bronx, Ny, United States replies: "I'm new to this site - but have been doing a bit of research on this subject, too. Will be adding ACV to my tool-kit toward a healthy fibroid free ME! Thanx! :-)"

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 12/31/2010: Starmaker from Saskatoon, Sk, Canada: "I have tried to submit this a couple of times. I'm not sure if I have been successful or not. Will try one more time. I don't as a rule respond to online testimonials. However, I am very aware that the ACV I have been consuming the past couple months is worthy of a serious mention here. I suffer with uterine fibroids. And at 46 yrs old, the doctor wanted to apply watchful waiting to see if they would start to shrink once menopause hit me. My mom didn't go into menopause til her mid 50's so I was not about to wait that long for relief. Besides, the pain, flooding, fatigue, clots and not being able to leave my toilet has been getting progressively worse over the past couple years. I'm a lead singer in a rock band and I can recall recent gigs that I did where I was bleeding so heavy, I had to wear a flippin bladder pad (and black clothes) to simply get through an hrs worth of performing before our set break when I could run to the can and fix things up for another hour. Very embarrasing. But there have been even more embarrasing moments let me tell you. (sad face)
I first read about apple cider vinegar on this site, and if it weren't for the many many believable testimonials, I probably would have laughed it off. But after taking this miracle juice for the past 2 months. I feel I really have to contribute my story. I always believed most testimonials were crap that were written by fakers trying to sell their product. However, there is nothing anyone can gain here except relief from the shared knowledge. So I am happy to add my story. Hope it helps one or more of you.
My fibroids which the doc claimed were few and very small (and shouldn't be causing me any distress) made my life a living hell. Periods were 5 to 7 days of gushing blood and clots. Clots so big I swore I was miscarrying. I had many days each month where I sat on the toilet with my laptop. Afraid to even get up. If I did, I gave birth to another huge painful to pass clot. My breasts were always sore a week before my period, during and sometimes after for a couple days. I blew threw maxi pads in less than an hr, and the pain and fatigue was terrible. Sex and penetration was also becoming very painful. I started taking regular Heinz store brand ACV 2 months ago. I will go to the health food store and pick up some higher end stuff now that I know it works well for me.
The first thing I noticed on month 1 was zero PMS, my period literally snuck up on me. No breast swelling or tenderness the whole period. Wha? I'll take it! Period was what I would deem as normal. It has been so many years since having a normal period, I almost didn't recognize it. I passed 1 small clot and barely even noticed. Period slowed by day 4 and by then I was no longer wearing any sanitary protection. Wow... Just Wow! Pain was manageable. Still took a couple advil once or twice during the heavier period days. But used to take 10 advil a day for 7 days. What a difference! The biggest shock was the absence of the gushing. Sorry TMI but no way to really explain this properly without being frank. Seriously... Gushing was gone. Clotting all but gone. That cycle, I did a stage show with my band and wore a WHITE dress. Haha never would have been that brave before. Waited another month to see if I was just as fortunate before posting my findings here. Happy Happy happy to report that I just finished another period that was as easy and managable as last months. Oh happy day! Again one very small clot. No gushing. I am taking 2 tbsp of ACV twice a day in a bottle of water which I drink down fast a few mins before meals. I was also surprised and thrilled to note that the last 20 lbs that I have been struggling to lose (I am a zero to low carber) have been coming off since taking ACV. Seems as if water weight is the first to go. I'll take that thank you very much!! Lol
I don't know if the ACV is shrinking my fibroids so soon. I hope it is. And will ask for an ultrasound sometime this next year to see whats happening with them. But what I do know for sure. Is the pain, distress, and emotional upheaval I experienced with each and every period for the past 7 years is now all but gone away. I would have tried the Black strap molasses, but when I read the carton how many carbs and calories are in there... Ummm nope, not for this kid!
I hope someone out there who is a skeptic like me, reads this, and gives it a whirl. What do you have to lose anyway? I was slowly losing my mind and my sex life before this. Should mention that the pain from sex hasn't yet gone away, but it is less noticeable. I suspect the fibroids are pressing on my cervix, bladder and intestines. Thanks for reading my lil story. Sammy"
Replies08/03/2011: Angie from Newnan, Ga replies: "Dear Sammy, I am with you, I have the same symtoms. I started a detox program and going to start with the ACV I have heard great things about it. For sure will post on my experience.I am Angie we can keep in touch at angiemaillo(at)bellsouth.net"
10/17/2011: Debbie from Philadelphia, Pa replies: "I was diagnosed with a uterine fibroid the size of a plum about a month ago. I started with Blackstrap Molasses and Apple Cider Vinegar (2 tbsp twice a day) about 3 weeks ago. Plus, I included some herbs that are good for softening fibrous tissue and scar tissue (Arnica), Lugol's Iodine and Milk Thistle for my liver which is supposed to have been impacted somehow (not really surehow, just thought it would be good to add this). I also use Vitamin E, digestive enzymes (which is supposed to break up the tough fibrin outer layer of the fibroid). The Lugol's Iodine is supposed to be good for fibrocystic breast disease (of which I have been diagnosed and had 3 lumps removed over the years) and ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids as well. I should mention that within a week after I started the ACV and BSM (I also used 1 tsp of baking soda with this which essentially detoxed the hell out of me! Did that the first week and then ran out of baking soda so I just continued with the ACV and BSM), then got my period. I was pleasantly surprised when my period came w/o the usual extremely tender breasts, pre-cramping and first two heavy days of bleeding. In fact, during the whole cycle, I probably used maybe 7 pads and 5 or 6 tampons, this includes nights which were more problematic and nerve-wracking. My energy level is up, and in a related development, my seasonal allergies are even gone! Amazing! As you can see, I've been doing a lot and just a few days ago started having some steadily increasing spotting. It's not time for my period again yet so I don't think that's what's happening. I'm hoping that this is a result of the fibroid breaking up and coming out of me??? I don't know but I wanted to see if anyone else had similar experiences. I hope that some of you had success with your situations. I have an ultrasound scheduled for October 31 so I'm trying to hang in there until I get results. Hopefully they'll say the fibroid has either shrunk significantly or it's just gone. Praying for the latter! The last time I had a fibroid was 2 years ago and I had a Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE), not a bad procedure, just don't want to have to do it again b/c it left me with medical bills even though I have insurance. I will post the results of my ultrasound in a couple weeks and hopefully good news too!"
10/18/2011: Timh from Louisville, Usa replies: "Debbie, I have read where the use of caffeine is contraindicated in the fibrous condition which you have, as it strongly agonizes the production of Fibrin."
11/21/2011: Camy from Jersey City, New Jersey replies: "Hello, I'm doing practically the same thing than you with small variations; I got a fibroid of about 10cmx8cm. It's really big and scared me a lot. My doctor said that was the size of a newborn's head.I have no kids and I'd really like to have at least one. I'm trying the natural option first if no signs of shrinking are showed I will go for the surgery.
I started with the ACV and BSM like 5 months ago, and I don't really know if my fibroid has shrunk but for sure my symptoms now are less notorious. My sexual life improved a lot, before was very painful and I didn't enjoy being with my husband because of the pain. Since I started with the treatment I have no more pain.
My belly was hard like a rock but now little by little you can notice how is getting softer and I can bottom my jeans without worrying about the pain.
I will have to visit my doctor to check how my fibroid is going, but I thing is too early to notice significant changes. I will continue with the treatment for another 2 months before going for a check out.
My treatment includes:
*ACV (morning), BSM (morning), TRIVINOL (has a complete supplement of enzymes, Amanu & Llanten (once a day), Magnesium (to eliminate the calcium in the fibroid), Vitamin E, ACV Tablets (afternoon), BSM Tablets (afternoon)."

[QUESTION] 08/27/2010: Maylin from Tampa, Fl : "Dear Fibroid Sisters:
Please email me soon, as I am in desperate times with my doctor. She is wanting me to do surgery since my fibroid has grown fm 9cm to 13 cm in the past couple years. Please eamil if your fibroid is at 9cm or bigger and you had good results w/proof that you did go to get an mri done and your fibroid has shrunk after taking ACV with any other stuffs. Or if you done something else naturally to shrink your fibroids. Please email me at maitaz@yahoo.com
What size was your fibroid before it shrunk? What size it is now? how long did it take to shrink to the size it is? What are you eating? Is it all organic foods?
HOW ABOUT PLASTICS? Anyone can email me on this subject as well. I know I keep hearing and seeing to not use plastic. That would be crazy.... Everything is in plastic. Meats wrapped in plastic. Fruits and produce wrapped in plastic. I have plastic food containers I used all my life.... So I have to go and get all GLASSWARE to store all foods now? I even email Zephyrhills water and they said the plastic bottle they use are safe to drink from. Its just so much info to take in and so much plastic around us. Creams. Lotions are in plastic. The dish holder is plastic where I put my dishes after washing them. The shampoo bottles are plastic.... So even the organic products are in plastic containers.... So I don't know what it means to NOT USE PLASTIC?
I know not to microwave my foods in plastic for sure. I try to drink out of glass. Email me if you have answers on PLASTIC usage. But mainly.... Please email me on uterine fibroids. Let me know how you shrunk yours. I so appreciate your time and I can't express how upset/depressed it has caused me on this subject. Please help. Email me at
Maitaz@yahoo.com
Thank you so much, Maylin"

[YEA] 11/10/2009: Cathy013 from Monroe, Louisiana, USA: "I suffered from VERY heavy bleeding and was diagnosed with uterine polyps and possible fibroids. First was told hysterectomy; I didn't want this so I was prescribed a hormone; made the cramping, etc., WORSE; a year later I had more tests - same problem, heavy bleeding & cramping - the tests (such as saline ultrasound) were so UNCOMFORTABLE and no relief, still recommended surgery which I really didn't feel comfortable about. I searched "natural remedies for fibroids, heavy bleeding, etc." and found this site. Tried ACV and black strap molasses first (1 dose of the molasses-could NOT handle that!); then tried the ACV with baking soda (2 TBSP natural ACV from health food store and 1/2 to 1 tsp baking soda dissolved in 8 oz water once daily has worked for me). I started this in August; it is now November and I feel SO MUCH BETTER! It is unbelievable - very little bleeding at regular cycle time - little to no cramping; and I was in misery before-periods lasted for weeks and would only stop for a few days and then start again. I no longer have that problem-haven't since I started the ACV & baking soda in August. It WORKS!"
Replies[YEA] 12/17/2009: Sarah from Chapel Hill, Ncc replies: "I started taking ACV about a month ago for fibroid relief and I noticed a significant, positive change in my heavy flow and cramping. For the last year or so, I would have to remain inside and well medicated for the first few days of my cycle. I even had a recent, 3-day hospital stay in October for severe anemia, due to blood loss and received a blood transfusion during that time. It was a scary ordeal. In November, after trying ACV, I noticed my cramping had subsided and my flow was lighter. The first two days were still a little heavy, but I could visit my family during Thanksgiving and enjoy the holidays without any "accidents". I'm still taking it and can't wait to see how this month goes!"
12/29/2009: Yoli0226 from Durham, Nc replies: "Sarah-how long did it take for you to notice a change?"
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 01/05/2010: Sarah from Chapel Hill, Nc replies: "I was admitted into the hospital in Oct. for excessive bleeding after fainting in the shower. I found this website the following week. I began drinking a shot-glass of apple cidar vinegar daily immediately. I also ordered the blackstrap molasses tablets, which I've been taking daily for 2 months. So I would say I started seeing positive results during my Nov. and Dec. menstral cycles. I just received my shipment of ACV tablets. Good Luck!"
07/23/2011: Poetess from Irvine, Usa replies: "Thanks everyone for great input regarding Fibroids. Since most of us are in the dark & trying to avoid surgeries with massive fibroids [10cm ].. I have a SERIOUS PLEA for every woman posting here. It's great to hear that your "symptoms" have eased up a bit or a lot BUT what would really be helpful to all of us here would be an organized & measured report of your progress, starting with:1. The size of your [biggest] Fibroid initially
2. Remedies you followed with measurements
3. Proof of "size reduction" with the latest size from your latest ultrasound > for this you may have to REVISIT the site and update us. Please take a bit of pain so the rest of us can have a calming assurance that Yes.. Indeed.. the SIZE CAN SHRINK TOO ..
NOW SOME TIPS:
1. After consulting numerous doctors, a few surprised me with the fact that the menstrual pain/cramps are actually due to Anemia & prolonged blood depletion instead of the Fibroids themselves. So don't just treat your Fibroids, but also take Iron Supplements such as pills and spirulina powder [mixed in carrot or apple juice]. Do not just depend on BSM if you have severe Anemia, get your #s checked. It turns out, the more anemic you are, the more you will bleed. YIIKEESS!!! Its a cycle. My fibroid is still there.. but I've seen the miracle of treating Anemia with 90% pain reduction! And reduced bleeding as well! It will take you 1 or 2 months to see dramatic results! :) Just STICK to the regimen.
2. Many women here have complained of constipation etc due to IRON pills. Did you know that there are Iron pills in health food stores that are made of whole foods & are vegetarian and hence more absorbable and not upsetting your stomach at all! Try them before giving up. But add some spirulina or BSM to this. If you are severely anemic, take 2 to 3 pills a day for a few months. Then taper down to 1, for maintenance. Do get blood work done to see your requirements.
3. Many women here have also complained of ACV's taste and I had the same issue. But reading its wonders, I had to come up with a way, and I did! Its the most delicious concoction/cocktail ever. Instead of taking ACV straight or mixing it up in water, I am mixing 2tbs in Lychee Juice with 1/4 tsp Baking Soda. You can use apple juice or use any sweet juice to counter it's sourness. You will be addicted to this delicious drink.
4. Rinse your mouth right after as ACV could be bad for teeth enamel.
5. Other women have complained of BSM's strong taste. The best way to take it is to add it to some hot water and enjoy it like tea. Others here have drizzled it on ice cream too! So don't give up. Be creative. Don't mix it up with your coffee or tea as Caffeine tends to feed fibroids! That's what I've heard.
6. Additionally, you could take DIM supplment to balance fibroid-causing Estrogen
Again .. I wonder if one should just sit back & relax just because the symptoms have disappeared. Your fibroid could still be there or growing! So do go for a 2nd scan and definitely report your findings here specially the SIZE-CHANGES or Shrinkage! This is the only site where we can truly trust the testimonials. So please ladies, keep us updated with your measurements! Don't abandon us once your symptoms subside. Keep us posted. THANKS - poetess "
08/05/2011: Tania from Houston, Texas replies: "Hello, I am so glad I found this forum!i am due to have a massive exploratory abdominal laporotomy in the next few weeks which may end up in a hysterectomy which I am trying to avoid.
i just got married in may and have never had children. I am an older bride, but I still want to try for a family if at all possible.
my chances of coming out with my uterus after surgery are next to nothing, so I am anxious to try any means to keep my fertility intact.
1. I have 3 to 4 fibroids, the largest is 30 cm and my belly is swollen[watermelon size]
and the others ares softball to melon size.
2. I am beginning a regime of the Apple Cider Vinegar baking soda. Going to try aas many times a day as I can
with 2 times a day being my standard time
3. I will keep you posted on if there are any changes.
i also did an olive oil and pineapple cleanse last night, and that really wiped my insides out.
feel free to give me any specific advice or recipes. Thank you!!"
04/12/2012: Saphire from White Plains, Ny, Usa replies: "Tania, Just curious to know if you had any shrinkage of fibroids since taking Apple Cider Vinegar in nov 2011? I just started taking Apple Cider Vinegar a week ago. Today my period started and over 7hours and still haven't change a pad... Just spotting. Hoping this will continue. Would like some feedback on possible shrinkage or fibroids be gone. Thanks Saphire."

[BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS] 07/28/2009: Steff from St Thomas, USVI: "Hi, I have been diagnose with Fibroids, I had a myectomy before. I was looking forward to having more kids, I have two boys, my husband has none so I wanted at least one with him. Over the last three years my cycle got so bad that I was bleeding for two weeks straight. Then I would go to the Dr. to get pills to stop the bleeding. Then over the last couple years my cycle started becoming irregular, the clots were heavier and more painful. I started really praying that God would shot the mouths of the fibroids so that they would shrink. When my cycle stopped for a month or two I would go back to the Dr. to get pills to make it come again. But recently, I noticed that I have lost some weight, got more energy and the itching stopped, well, I have been drinking ACV every morning to start my day before working out and now I have gone from heavy periods to no bleeding. I'm concern about that and wondering if the ACV could stop one's cycle. I feel great. I don't have pain and large clots, my energy is up, my weight is coming off, the varginal itch has stopped; these are great things but I wanted more kid(s) and I'm in my early 40's and concern. Any ideas or comments or suggestions. I'm curious as to my next sonogram which is scheduled for next month. So will ACV stop or slow down cycle?"
Replies08/07/2009: Ikhlas from Montreal, Quebec replies: "This is my answere to STEFF from ST.THOMAS. I experienced the same problem, what i did, i stopped having the acv one day before my cycle, and also during my cycle. And then i continue using it again and, every thing goes normally. The measurements is 2tbs disolved in 1 cup of water three times a day. GOOD LUCK."

[NAY] 05/27/2009: Melanie from Venice, Florida: "I was wondering if i am using ACV correctly and how long it actually takes to see improvements. I started to drink ACV in a 16 ounces bottle everyday since my last menstrual hoping it would help (I was diagnosed with fibroids 4 years agao) but 1 month later i can sadly report that nothing has changed. I still have terrible abdominal pain and heavy bleeding.. :( Please help me i am going crazy!!!! Also, can someone tell me where to find blackstrap molasses??? Thank you in advance."
RepliesEC: Most grocery stores carry at least one brand of blackstrap molasses. If not, Whole Foods Market has a good number of brands.. Finding it online will be a piece of cake, too.
05/28/2009: Candy from Fort Madison, IA replies: "get yourself some transdermal magnesium or you can find a good magnesium supplement if you look hard enough. hope this helps you."
05/30/2009: Melanie from Venice, Florida replies: "Thank you Candy. I will try that!"
05/30/2009: Dibenja from New York, New York replies: "You can get Blackstrap Molasses from any healthfood store and many supermarkets.
Are you using baking soda with the ACV? I have large fibroids and have just discovered this site. I tried the BS and ACV and am amazed at the relief I have experienced. I had very very heavy bleeding. I could soak a pad in 15 minutes. Now with this "cure" I have more normal cycles. I have been using this for 3 months and happy with the reduced hemoraging. I'm not exactly sure how it works but I think it has something to do with alkalizing the blood and blood calcium levels.
good luck"
07/14/2010: Liz from Tampa, Fl replies: "I've just started reading a few responses & haven't seen anyone discuss UTERINE ABLATION. I had it done about 5-6 yrs. Ago. It worked wonders for bleeding (only a few spots now) & my gyn now does them routinely in the office. Look it up - google it! My fibroids are no longer an issue either. The cramps are much better also and although my diet isn't great, I started jogging, which does help the cramping to where they are practically non-existent. I am also on a topical progesterone cream."
08/28/2011: Yvette from Turlock, Ca. Usa replies: "I had an awful experience with endometreal ablasion and some of the risks include vaginal burns, bowel perferations, and uterine rupture. My proceedure was with Gynecare Thermachoice and it was as painful as childbirth. The machine malfunctioned and I have been left mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually traumatized! I am glad your experience was good and you have achieved relief, but I have no relief from baseball sized clots and changing pads every hour. I read the risks and thought- That won't happen to me... Well, I was wrong! Be very careful with your body- it's the only one you've got!"
09/08/2011: Patty from Miami, Florida replies: "I did Uterine Ablation last March in 2010 and now for the past couple of months have started bleeding again. I really don't think surgery is really necessary. Many natural remedies that we have around us work just as good. I started using ACV tablets in April and began to see a big improvement right away. Make sure that the tablets you purchase only have ACV some will have Soy in them which actually will feed your fibroid. So if you want to get rid of it stay away from Soy and Caffeine it has made a BIG improvement."

I went to the doctor and had the Mirena (IUD) placed in to control the heavy bleeding. During my 6weeks checkup the IUD apprently came out. I was sent to have an ultrasound done and the fibroid had degenrated. I also lost 22pounds in 6weeks. My doctor wanted to removed my uterus, but I prayed about it said no to the surgery. [YEA] 01/25/2009: Marina from Cape Towm, South Africa: "I live in South Africa and have a friend who had been suffering with seven painful uterine fibroids for four months. Unfortunately, she couldn't afford health insurance, and in the Township where she lives, the hospital facilities are not exactly confidence inspiring. As result, she was afraid to go there for a much needed operation.
In desperation, she came to stay with me. She was at her wits end and almost suicidal from the never ending pain. I took her to my local doctor. After examining her he announced he could do nothing further, except prescribe pain killers and give her a letter of introduction to a much better free hospital. That hospital scheduled an appoint for a consultation some three months later. She was sleeping most of the day, unable to eat without vomiting afterwards. Could not bend over, nor have a proper bowel movement.
Even after the hospital consultation, she'd probably have to wait six months to year to actually have the op, as fibroids are not regarded as priority cases. This made her even more depressed and tearful. I started juicing for her; fresh fruit and veggie juices in place of meals. She got somewhat better and the pain was less, but she was still in very bad shape and zonked out from the pain killers and stress. Finally I gave her apple cider vinegar. One tablespoon in a little water, three times a day. Within two days she was totally free of pain. She had good bowel movements and regained ALL of her previous strength, energy and vitality within a week.
That was two months back. Since then she has telephoned me to say she feels terrific and thinks the fibroids are gone. She will not be going for that operation now! ACV IS A MIRACLE. (I understand it also works just as well for period pains.)"
Replies04/22/2009: Pat Johnson from Kingston, Jamaica replies: "A Question How do you use the ACV for fibroids?"
EC: Per the feedback below: Drinking "One tablespoon in a little water, three times a day."

[YEA] 11/05/2008: Judy from Cincinnati, Ohio: "I have to say I was a total skeptic when I was reading about ACV & how it helps with menstrual problems. I suffered from fibroids & had 5 pounds of them removed last year. I also had been having a cycle about every 2 weeks which was driving me crazy that I thought having the fibroids removed would have cured. I tried ACV during the beginning of my last cycle & am very happy to report that it gave me a regular cycle of 28 days!!!! It has been over 2 yrs since I had a regular cycle of 28 days & this was done without the aid of birth control pill ~ YEAH!!!! Also, when I went back to the surgeon who removed my fibroids last year, he was surprised to find only 1 small growth of a fibroid. He said that he thought for sure that he would be going back inside of me again to remove more fibroids because typically they grow back after a year. I was so very happy about this :)"

On August 12, 2008 I began using apple cider vinegar after visiting the site. Now almost a week ago whenever I would bend over it would feel as if I had a cramp right above my stomach. As of today August 16, 2008) I cleaned my whole house-bending and stretching. I didn't feel a thing! I hope that these pesky fibroids are beginning to shrink. Thank you so much for the useful site info."

I dont want to lose my uterus as I dont have any kids yet."

I drink this all day. Since I was 16 I've bled mid cycle and self diagnosed myself with fibroids (no insurance). I've been with this regimine for over a year and all the bleeding midcycle has stopped and my periods are 5 days long, whereas before they were 7-9 days. I also take 1 TBSP black strap molasses everyday in yogurt, smoothie or raw milk. I credit these two things to regulating my period and am now working on getting pregnant!"

Thank you for opening my eyes to the awesome healing power of ACV. As a pharmaceutical sales representative I can admit the side effects from most drugs are not worth it. Natural remedies are truly the way to go - I should switch to the other side - we need more naturopathic sales reps in our country! I will report my progress w/ACV & grape seed extract soon. Thanks!"

Are u sure we should mix ACV w/ BS? Is it ok to take it on its own w/ water? Also I have low bone density. How can I address that? Is calcium bad for fibroids? Is coffee bad? I love coffee.

[QUESTION] 07/03/2010: Janice from Apex, Nc: "Hi, I have a question for Ted. I have just the last couple of weeks begun taking 1/2 tsp baking soda w/ 2 Tablespoons of ACV in 8 oz of water three times per day to try and reduce or rid myself of fibroids. While at home, I use a glass container to drink from. But at my office, I use an aluminum water bottle, as I was concerned with using plastic because of BPA. However, now I'm concerned with whether either the baking soda or the ACV will cause me to consume aluminum from my water bottle at work. Can you please address the issue of whether either plastic or aluminum are safe with this remedy, or whether it is always best to use glass containers. I've read many posts on your site, but I've never seen the issue of the type of container addressed with the use of ACV. Thanks very much for the help. I do find this site to be wonderful and am glad that I found you!"
Replies10/31/2010: Christina from Hillsdale, Mi replies: "Hello,
I've not tried ACV yet, but am going to do so b/c of all the stories about how it's caused fibroids to shrink. I did read, though, about the danger of ACV ruining tooth enamel if sipped throughout the day. A website I went to advised to use a straw to bypass the teeth, always take ACV with plenty of water, three times/day, drink each of the three times within a short period of time, and rinse mouth out with water after drinking."
01/16/2011: Shazi from Ny City, Ny replies: "It is true that it affects the enamel of teeth and ACV should be sipped with a straw instead."

03/14/2010: Diana from Boston, Massachusetts, United States: "I just found this site today. I am so grateful. I have read thru most everyones comments on this topic and wanted to thank everyone for sharing their experience.
My situation is a little different. I have many symptoms and not certain if they are all connected or from several medical problems.
Started some years ago with Thyroid/hashimoto's disease - first illness - taking thyroid hormones since they iradiated it. Next, hair loss - got scalp injections from dematology for this 5% cortizone shots. Long treatments but it worked. Since then I have developed these fibroids and excema. Are all these things connected? Also vision has gotten bad, now wear glasses. Also, Acid Reflux. Never took the script they gave me, but I did switch my diet some what.. after reading here I need to do more!
On the topic of fibroids, I too was diagnosed a couple of years ago and told to be sent into early menopause. I said no. I dont have heavy bleeding like alot of people here are saying, but I have excruciating pain! Feels like razors or boulders going thru my falopian tubes on the left side. Every month. Plus, I get low grade fevers and feel like I have the flu every month. Typical flu symptoms- headache, fever, naseau, vomiting. Litterally bed bound monthly for two weeks with these flu symptoms. I know there is no way I can have the flu every month and went back to the doctors. They paid no attention to my complaints about the flu as of yet. I have had a stomach CT scan and the results where clear, more fibroids - they are in my tubes, in my uterus and on my ovaries. They scheduled an Upper GI and a pelvic ultrasound. I am at my wits end with the pain!! Today thanks to this site I started the 2 tbspn of Apple cider vinegar mixed with 1/4 Tspn baking soda..and will take it twice or three times a day.
I have gained 40 lbs in the past year, yes, all tummy. Thinking that maybe its all from fribroids? Or alot of it anyway. Two years ago I didnt have uterine fibroids. Im hoping it helps and will let you know as things progress. Thanks to everyone for your openness and willing to share your experiences."
Replies03/14/2010: Joyce from Joelton, Tn replies: "Hello Diana from Boston,
Type "potassium iodide" in search window and click on go or search. When references appear pull up one from Tahoma Clinic. I suggest you print this one out for future reference because SSKI is useful for much more than fibroids. This article is written by alternative doctor Jonathan Wright and is very useful and everything I have used SSKI for has been as he said in this article. One other thing he didn't mention is that 2 drops per day helps keep our stomach producing HCl acid for digesting our food."
03/18/2010: Diana from Boston, Ma replies: "To Joyce from JoeltonI found the article you spoke of: Tohoma Clinic Dr Wright- here is the link for the future, I had to google for it because all that came up from this site when I searched were your posts telling people to look it up.. here is the link for others for future reference- you should just post the link instead: http://www.tahomaclinic.com/iodide.shtml
So I have some questions about the use of SSKI or Potasium Iodide : First, I am hypothyroid and spoke with my doctor just today and she said to avoid Iodine. So I am reluctant to take this product.
Second, I also had my Pelvic Ultrasound today and they found 2 Fibroids in the uterus just slightly larger than golf balls. One on each side. With this help with my fribroids? Did not see that mentioned on the site. Also, I am type A blood, noticed that people with Type A blood are not suppose to take Apple cider Vinegar. Although at this point its either surgery or the ACV or some other remedy.
I did notice and found it interesting that the SSKI is also used to treat people that have been affective by Nuclear Fallout. I was in the service and I was the Nuclear Biological and Chemical Weapons Officer and was exposed to radiation and Perchlorate sulfates alot (dry cleaning fluids) we used them to clean parts of things.. weapons, helicopter parts etc.) I remember having my arm - pit deep in barrels of the stuff on many occassions. As well as a nuclear densomitor which I had to use quite often. Holding it by the spoke that you put in the soil. Was not aware at the time it emmited large amounts of radiation.
Do you think these things could have caused all my ILLS? Hypothyroidism, Copd, asthma, fibroids, diverticulosis and diverticulitis? Seems like all these things are listed on the tahoma site. If I could find a common cause then maybe I could find a common cure? Could use your input.
Thank you for posting to me - I appreciate your feedback and assistance from everyone."
03/18/2010: Joyce from Joelton, Tn replies: "Hello Diana from Boston,First a question or two. Is your thyroid just sluggish and still functioning or totally wiped out? If it is still functioning then it needs some iodine to function properly, so why did your doctor tell you to avoid it? Hopefully you also picked up on the use of SSKI to liquify secretions in the respiratory tract so you can get them out, which means that it should help with asthma and COPD. Another thing to consider if it is just sluggish is that a deficiency of B complex vitamins causes a sluggish thyroid, so I suggest that you get a good stress tab (B complex with vitamins C & E) and take 1 at mealtime and bedtime although the container will tell you to take 1 a day.
Another question, while you were up to armpit in the goop in the service, were you taking SSKI or anything to protect your thyroid from radiation? If not, it is unlikely that the radiation isn't part of the cause of your problems.
I have also read that those with asthma are low on selenium. Wild cherry bark tea is supposed to be good for asthma. You might also want to read Bill's inhalation method of H202 for the asthma and COPD. I am all for trying what is likely to help, and not likely to harm with unwanted side effects. I also recall reading in EC about someone curing their COPD with a home remedy which included mullein, so you might want to look this up. Mullein is a very easy to identify wild plant, but since it mentioned using the seed pods, you won't likely find seed pods until this coming fall. Some herbal shops might sell them though.
Could you share your source for the recommendation that people with type A blood should not take ACV? I think I am type A and I have been taking ACV/honey for a long time (at least 40-50 years) and I am still alive and kicking.
I believe that if you reread Dr. Wright's article on SSKI, you will find that he mentions cystic breast disease. But you would have to follow what your thyroid is doing because you would be taking it for several months and it can suppress the thyroid. I figure that if it gets rid of fibroids in the breast, it should also get rid of fibroids in the uterus or elsewhere.
My breasts were nothing much but lumps for years. I can't say for sure that vitamin E is what got rid of them, but vitamin E is what I had added to my daily vitamins, and several months later I was surprised to find that all my lumps were gone and replaced with normal breast tissue, so if you aren't taking vitamin E, start taking at least 400 IU/day and see what happens.
To find out how much perchlorate sulfates might have done to you, just type it into a search window and if you find that it has been a big part of your problem, print it out and take it with you to visit the VA Hospital doctors and put in a claim for the damage done to your health by the exposure. Hope you find some of this useful and hope your health improves. "

I stopped eating ALL gluten and my asthma symptoms drastically reduced in about 3 or 4 days. About 2 weeks on the gluten free diet no more inhalers or antihistamines. 8 months later, still gluten free, I no longer consider myself an asthmatic."

[NAY] 01/20/2010: Tricia from Newcastle: "Acv and Baking soda for fibroids
I read about people on your site using ACV and Baking soda for excessive bleeding associated with fibroids. I had excessive bleeding for three months and found out I had 2 large fibroids in my uterus. I tried your formula and the bleeding persisted. The second week I had forgotten to use the acv/baking soda and by the end of the day my bleeding had slowed us, alot! The next day I used the formula again and once again started bleeding, the next day and there on I stopped using the formula and the bleeding slowed up considerably. So I immediately stopped using the acv/baking soda. It may help alot of people but not in my case. But I felt it was worth a try."

[YEA] 11/20/2009: Dee from Woodstock, Ga: "Hello, to tell you a little history of my health issue. Over 3 years ago I experienced my menstrual cycle lasting longer and longer and I checked with a couple Ob-Gyn's who really did not listen to me. While moving to another state, the first visit to a general practitioner she asked me have you had an ultra-sound done. I went to get an ultra sound done and they found a cyst on my ovary and I had fibroids. Great.... well at least I know what it was that was causing this additional bleeding. I went to see an Ob'Gyn and she told me to go on the pill to reduce the cyst that started to work but the bleeding from the fibroids got worst to the point I bled for 3 months straight without stopping and the doctor did not seem concerned or knew what was going on. I was desparate and tried looking for home remedies and found this website. Never heard of apple cider vinegar until I found this site and I tried Ted's remedy. That is ACV with baking soda and the bleeding ceased in less that one day. I take six to eight ounces of water with two tablespoon of ACV organic and quarter teaspoon of baking soda twice a day and it works for me. Thank you all for posting your experiences on this website. It is greatly helped me. I have my second opinion coming up and will give an update if the cyst and fibroids have shrunk. I will also try the blackstrap molasses for my anemia. God Bless You!"

It has since come back and my periods are unbearable. I also have severe break-thru bleeding. My Dr. has put me on a higher dose of Birth control to control the bleeding. It has slowed down, but I don't like the side effects of the BC. I have been reading many posts of the ACV and Baking Soda.I would like to know how long do you use this remedy. Is it everyday? And should I still take the birth control with this remedy? I am so so so desperate for help! My next step is a hysterectomy and I am not ready for that. I am only 31 years old. Please Help me!!
Thanks in advance!
Monica"

[BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS] 05/19/2009: Kim from Santa Monica, Ca : "I am writing in because for the last 6 months I had been suffering from an issue with Fibroids. I had non stop bleeding sometimes extremely heavy periods to the point were my blood count level was around 7.2 . at one point I was given a blood transfusion because of the amount of blood loss. I went to see my Dr. who did a biopsy and ultrasound and had determined that I was suffering from Fibroids and this was the reason for the continuous bleeding.
My Dr. gave me two options, to have an IUD inserted with no guarantees that this would work and may fall out or a Hysterectomy. I was also taking birth control pills to try to stop the bleeding as well with no results. I read the recommendations for ACV and Baking Soda for Fibroids and I decided to try it. The first couple of days I was not feeling too well, I felt really weak and had no energy, however , I took it for about 1 week and the bleeding has stopped. I now have another appointment to see my Dr , for another exam to see if the Fibroid is still there. I want to thank Ted for the recommendation and say I feel great! thanks again"
