STEAMING WITH APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

[YEA]  11/23/2005: AJ from Bronx, New York writes: "I tried inhaling ACV 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup ACV and I boiled it for a sinus infection. I placed a towel over my head to govern the fumes and did this twice a day for 3 days. I totally cleared my sinus infection. My doctor had prescribed me an antibiotic and that didn't work. I am glad I stumbled on this. And I didn't go to the organic store like most suggest, I just used the regular one out of the grocery store. Good Health!!!!"

[YEA]  11/08/2005: Abbie from Bronx, New York writes: "I had this horrible sinus infection along with a lung infection. My pulmonary specialist put me on Amoxicillin and Allegra-D. This medication seemed to have made my symptoms of coughing and clogged sinuses worse. I was at the end of my rope until I stumbled on ACV. I am not big on mixing things and home remedies. I must admit I was skeptical about drinking the ACV and the right consistency. So I took a cup of ACV (Heinz brand from the local grocery store) and a cup of plain tap water and boiled it. I turned the fire off and closed my eyes and started to inhale it for approx. 5 minutes. I didn't try to overdo it nor did I become obsessive about it. And boy did it clear up all of the mucous. I continued to do this 2 times a day until it cleared. Thank you ACV. I was so tired of doctors making me sicker. I do believe that doing this with taking a vitamin C tablet has helped me tremendously. I hope this helps someone and I hope all of you feel better soon."

[YEA]  Lloyd from Tulsa writes: "I have found that bringing an equal amount of Apple Cider Vinegar and water to boil, then inhaling the fumes as it starts to boil, quickly relieves sinus congestion & sinus infections. Just a warning though, close your eyes and mouth when doing this...the vapors are hard to deal with."

UNPETROLEUM JELLY

1 YEA

[YEA]  04/04/2007: Charles (charel196@yahoo.com) from Fostoria, OH writes: "I got rid of a very long and aggravating sinus infection (w/blood specks etc.) by using a product called UNPETROLEUM JELLY...blow and clean your nose, then apply a small amount to a cotton swab and insert gently into the nostril and rotate around the inside so the entire inside is coated, as high as you can go(be very gentle); repeat for the other nostril. Apply morning and bedtime. It took about a week but I've been infection free ever since and I now do this daily."

WATER

1 YEA

[YEA]  Charlene from Ontario, Canada writes: "I suffered for years with sinus infections. My last sinus infection lasted an entire year. I read a book called: "Your Body's Many Cries for Water" written by a doctor. I began drinking at least 2 liters of water a day, and have not had ANY form of a cold or sinus infection since. An added bonus, I have lost weight without even counting calories."

WILD INDIGO EXTRACT

1 YEA

[YEA]  Meth from Los Angeles writes: "I also have a question besides sharing my experience with the Wild Indigo herbal extract from Eclectic Institute. I have used it for the last two years, and it works better than the Grape Seed Extract (GSE) for me. I take 15-20 drops along with 10-12 drops of Echinacea/Golden Seal extract 3 times per day for 10-14 days. However, if you are a first-time user of Wild Indigo, start at a low dose of 5 drops and then increase it, otherwise you may vomit as I did on the second day when I first used it and I started at a high dose. I typically see definite improvement in my symptoms in 4-5 days. This remedy, however, treats the bacterial infection of sinus, not any fungal problem or the underlying cause.

My sinus problem started 3-4 years ago, and it has become a chronic problem. One easy way for me now to get sinusitis is to get exposed to a cold air draft such as the air conditioner in a car or indoor. I do suffer from hay fever, but I have had that for the last three decades without suffering from sinusitis until a few years ago.

And my question is: Has any of your website visitors had this kind of chronic sinus problem--from exposure to cold air, rather than eating ice creams or allergies? And have they found a reliable remedy for it, and do they know what causes it? When exposed to the cold draft, soon my nose clogs up and the blow of the cold air feels like a hammer pounding on my forehead. Incidentally, I am going to try your homeopathic sinus remedy #7 on your website, but Dolisos has been bought out by Boiron which has decided to discontinue the Aspergillis remedies and thus they are no longer available. However, I got lucky by calling the Santa Monica Homeopathic Pharmacy in Santa Monica, California and they found a homeopathic manufacturing company named National which makes that remedy. I am waiting for my special order to arrive, and it will take several months before I could judge whether or not it works for me.

Lastly, here is a website which provides some useful medical information from an MD on chronic sinusitis www.sinuses.com/fungal.htm. I would appreciate any practical information you may provide regarding this kind of sinus problem which you may have received from other sufferers. Also thank you for your informative website, and good luck."
