Hey there, I have a question. I am traveling to India for the first time I am 29 and have never had any kind of shot or immunization, nor do I believe in them per say. I am a very healthy person. I am wondering though if its important to get shots for the trip, and what ones? I really don't want to mess around with getting really sick. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you, Sara

If a person was forced to have an immunization shot what can be done before/after to counteract, the side effects of it. Does it make a difference what the shot was for? I am most concerned about forced flu shots. Thank you.

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has thought that their symptoms or illness has been caused by being immunized as an adult? I was given the measles/mumps vaccine after the birth of my son 18 years ago. My blood test at the time said that it was inconclusive as to my immunity. So, my doctor ordered I have a booster. I was very healthy before then. About three years later, I developed extreme anxiety, panic attacks and depression. I then developed thyroid disease, specifically Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Fibromyalgia too. I have problems with allergies, digestion, etc. I have often wondered if I truly didn't need the booster. My doctor didn't ask to retest. He just gave me the shot. As far as my thyroid problems are concern, I had something else happen to me that makes me wonder. I was going to a chiropractor for back pain (also after the birth of my son) and while he was adjusting my neck, he pushed down to hard and crushed my throat against the table. I have asked many other chiropractors and doctors if this could have damaged my thyroid, to which the answer was always no. But, I know that it hurt a lot at the time and was sore for a long time after. I guess I would just like to understand why my health has been compromised without any explanation. Thanks.

Chickenpox in child with no vaccines:
My son is 18 months and just came down with chickenpox. He doesn't have any immunizations whatsoever. Could this be hazardous since he has no shots, or does it not really matter? Also, is there anything I can give to my other children to prevent them from getting it as well? Thanks.

I was wondering how people feel about getting the flu shot. I am 58 and have never had one. I know of 2 people that contracted Guillain Barre Syndrome after receiving a flu shot. Coincidence?

At least for me, it used to be that you went to a hospital every fall and got a flu shot. Well, it turns out there are not only multiple types of flu shots and methods of administration, they don't quite contain the same stuff.
A table with some of the ingredients is shown to get you started on your research.
http://www.fda.gov/B...s/ucm094045.htm
When viral proteins are injected into the body, the immune system learns to recognize them (sensitization) and then on subsequent exposure to the proteins it begins to attack them (elicitation). Unfortunately, any other proteins injected with the vaccine are treated the same way. Once sensitized to the injected protein, future exposure to the protein elicits an attack known as an allergic reaction.
Details and references are here:
http://foodallergyca...allergy-causes/
Intranasal: the risk is injecting live viruses on to your olfactory nerve that is millimeters away from your brain.
There may also be adventitious agents in the vaccine. In other words, unintentional contamination of the vaccine by viruses/bacteria/amoeba etc..
Intradermal: the risk is skin cells/proteins are torn by the needle and injected along with the vaccine.
If your body develops an allergy to these skin proteins, you can develop immune system related skin disorders such as eczema.
Intramuscular:the risk is skin and muscle cells/proteins are torn by the needle and injected along with the vaccine.
If your body develops an allergy to these muscle proteins (one of which is tropomyosin), you can develop immune system disorders as the immune system attacks any tissue containing tropomyosin. Tropomyosin is present in the brain and the intestines. So disorders can include autism, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome etc.
and of course seafood allergy.
http://www.sciencefo...mune-disorders/
Polysorbate 80 contains vegetable oils. Depending on the type of vegetable oil used, it can cause the development of allergies to various food items - food allergies.
http://www.sciencefo...gen-regulation/
Ovalbumin in vaccines can cause the development of allergy to egg.
Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen but your body creates a small amount of it too.
Mercury is a well known toxin for which there is no safe amount.
Triton X-100 can damage cells.
HA is the viral protein. The "active ingredient" of a flu vaccine.
Insect proteins when injected into the body can cause the development of allergy to those insect proteins.
Flublok uses cells from the Fall Armyworm, a type of moth larvae. If you develop an allergy to such an insect protein, it may be very difficult to avoid exposure. Avoiding exposure to egg for a patient with egg allergies is difficult enough. How would one avoid exposure to a moth/larvae protein?
Flucelvax contains dog kidney cell proteins. If you develop an allergy to dog kidney cell protein, your immune system might start attacking your own similar kidney cells. An autoimmune kidney disorder will result.
Also the dog kidney cells used to make the vaccine are highly tumorigenic. The cells are supposed to be all killed. But even the tumorigenic DNA residue in the vaccine is considered dangerous and is therefore limited by the FDA to 10 nanogram. Is that low enough?
www.fda.gov/ohrms/dockets/ac/05/slides/5-4188S1-1draft.PPT
Trivalent vaccines contain three viral strains and quadrivalent contain four viral strains.
If you want to perform some probability calculations, flu vaccines work 60% of the time per the CDC.
http://www.cdc.gov/f...sqa-2013-14.htm
And about 3000-40,000 people are killed by the flu each year.
In the old days before vaccines, you had no choice but to suffer the flu. Modern medicine gives you a choice, a choice between the devil and the deep sea ... for a fee.
EC: Sorry Apv the table you pasted at the top was too big for a post so we had to remove it.

Hi Fellow EC'ers, I have noticed in the past few days that all of the media - be it television, radio, newspapers, etc. are pushing flu shots for ALL - hard and heavy PUSHING them at us.
There are clinics at the supermarket and local drug stores. The media says that the government is extra happy as the strain coming in (EXTRA EARLY, and EXTRA CATCHY! ) seems to be a GOOD MATCH for the shots they are putting out.
I saw THREE television shows today saying we all need flu shots.... From my local news, "The DOCTORS" and the great and powerful "Doctor OZ". All in one afternoon!
I am not the sharpest tool in the shed by any means, but I DO know that the flu shot contains mercury. I do know that the mortality rates quoted for the flu (35, 000 a year!!! ) are actually NOT from the flu, but from complications of the flu (ie pneumonia).
If anyone has any thoughts they would like to share on the flu and flu shots, I would love to hear them.
Stay well, Carly :-)

My friend's daughter-in-law had a flu-shot and ensuing fever for 2 months now. Tuesday, 27th Dec 2011, she fainted and had 2 seizures.
Hospital tested for Lupus, Meningitis and TB... she is not recognizing anyone and the doctors don't know the next step. When she fainted, she fell on her baby and her 4 yr old daughter called 911.
Any suggestions would be helpful...

I was just wondering what the attitude was amongst the Earth Clinic Community toward flu shots. I am a teacher and have gotten them in recent years. I am not in any a high risk category; in fact my immune system seems to be working pretty good. But it is time to decide whether to get one or not. Just looking for some insight.

Undiagnosed Illness
I am writing to see if someone could help with my sister's situation, since this website has become an invaluable resource to me. She has been struggling with a fibromyalgia type illness for close to a year and a half now (not officially diagnosed). She is in her mid-teens and has had to drop out of school because of the weakness and fatigue, as well as the fact that she comes down with every little bug. She also says she has all over body aches and pains, as well as frequent headaches. It all started when she got mono, which was diagnosed early in 2008. This lasted many months and during that time she also had some swelling/enlargement of her spleen, which has since abated. The mono was going around among her friends, and probably contracted from sharing a drink. However, instead of getting better her situation progressively got worse.
Following up she was sent to a number of doctors. They were quick to diagnose her with depression, however, that just isn't the sister I know. She was down, yes, but only because she was sick. So they put her on cymbalta and they insisted on pushing the dose up to I think 90 mg, and she's a TINY person, approx 90 lbs and under five foot. This did not improve the situation and she's been lowered to about half dose. The doctor who prescribed it refused to think there was any other problem anyways. Other doctors, other tests and one finds she's dangerously low in vitamin D, so she starts on vitamin D supplements, megadoses taken once a week. It helps, but still she remains bedridden for the most part. At times antibiotics are prescribed and these seem to help, which makes it seem maybe there is a low grade chronic infection? Not sure.
Over time, I have done research and I can say some of it can likely be attributed to poor eating habits. But then we realize she had the gardasil vaccine shortly before ALL of this started. I don't want to say definitively that this is the cause, but it seems to strange to be a coincidence. Especially with everything I've been reading. Also, I don't want to get stuck on that diagnosis as the problem and overlook other possibilities.
Also, recently she took some immune system tests which showed that her immune system is responsive, it is not responding normally, which raises questions of autoimmune disorders?
What I'm really looking for is help and insight to get to the bottom of this and help to make her well again. Lately after a recent round of antibiotics she's doing better, but she has good and bad days and still mainly rests in bed. I refuse to believe there is nothing we can do, and also the doctors have unfortunately been relatively worthless and even have sometimes insinuated that my sister is faking and has duped my mom into believing it. I know she's not faking and I want her to be back to her old self. Please if anyone could help I would most greatly appreciate it! Thank you for your time and thank you for this wonderful site.

Regarding vaccines, I have a question about about the HPV Gardisil vaccine... I recently got this vaccine for my 16 yr old daughter while at a dr appt. The doctor recommended, so I listened to the dr. This was before I knew about this website and the important information here. I sincerely regret ever getting her this vaccine and I am wondering if there is any way to "detox" her from this? She got the shot about 3-4 months ago. Please advise, I am very concerned now. Thank you so much!!

★☆☆☆☆WARNING!
32 girls have died!
Please watch video on drastic side effects of Gardasil vaccine which is supposed to prevent cervical cancer. We have to admit it works, because I have never heard of a dead person who developed cervical cancer from and reportedly 32 have already died following the vaccine!!!!!! If you have a web site you might save a few lives by adding a link to this site on your web site!

Hopefully most of you have heard about the avian flu vaccine in Europe although our propaganda media apparently plans to keep it hid. Seems some brilliant scientist injected some little 4 leggeds with the vaccine and they died from avian flu. When they called it to the manufacturers attention, they said they had accidently contaminated the vaccine with the avian flu virus. When pressed to explain how they managed to accidently contaminate the vaccine with this particular virus, their story changed to they had accidently shipped out the avial flu virus instead of the the flu vaccine?????????? How did this happen ACCIDENTALLY?????? For more on this go to Natural Solutions Foundation! http://www.hsibaltimore.com/

** This was copied from Dr. Douglas' site - would love to see it posted on EC where it would reach many women and parents of young girls.
"Dear Friend,
What will it take for Big Pharma to stop pushing their dangerous and useless vaccines? Apparently, one death a month is not going to be enough.
That's the rate at which women who have had Merck's cervical cancer vaccine, Gardasil, are dying, according to a new report. This is especially tragic because Gardasil is far and away the most unnecessary vaccine that's currently on the market (and that's really saying something).
An FDA report on Gardasil was recently obtained by Judicial Watch, a public interest group that campaigns against government corruption. They used the Freedom of Information act to show that the FDA has received reports of 10 deaths associated with Gardasil since September of 2007. Merck has come under fire for "fast-tracking" Gardasil to market without proper testing in order to be the first to offer this repulsive, needless vaccination.
In addition to the deaths, the report unearthed by Judicial Watch also noted a large number of other medical incidents involving Gardasil, including 140 serious adverse reactions (which included such pleasantries as anaphylactic shock, grand mal seizures, foaming at the mouth, coma, and paralysis %uFFFD of these, 27 cases were considered life threatening), 10 spontaneous abortions, and six cases of Guillian-Barre Syndrome, a debilitating nerve disorder.
Sounds great, huh? But the above description is incredibly sanitized. The report found by Judicial Watch is a catalogue of horrors that includes the near instant death of many otherwise perfectly healthy women who died soon after their inoculation with Gardasil.

A good friend was just diagnosed w Guillain Barre after getting a flu shot a week ago. I wondered if any of you have insight on treatments or cures that would lessen her issues. She has no feeling in her hands and falls a lot. Currently she is in intensive care at hospital. Doctors have dismissed flu shot as correlation to this sudden onset. Any suggestions are most welcome. Many thanks for all the great info and wisdom you provide here.

I go to the health food store to buy vitamins and stuff for me and my family, when I can afford it (as very expensive). I was given this pamphlet on homepathogy, (I think that is what it is, left the pamplet at my freinds.) anyways its an oral way of giving a flu vaccination as compared to an injection. As anyone ever heard of it or tried it and if so what were the results? Thanks. Oh I can never find my questions or replies ever, still looking for the other ones, so could someone please email me this respond if any and also at the same time let me know how to find my stuff. Thanks again.
