Stem Cell Therapy Health Treatments

Last Modified on Jan 23, 2014

No longer just a theory, stem cell therapy is already providing cures, relief from chronic pain, and deeply restorative therapy to patients with significant medical needs. Stem cell therapy has been controversial at times because the most straightforward source of such cells is from a human embryo; however, advances in science are making it easier to reprogram one's own cells to become stem cells once again.

Stem cells are like unformed clay, they are capable of becoming whatever sort of cellular tissue the human body needs. Clinicians can use this adaptability of stem cells to treat chronic pain, regenerate nerve cells, and restore tissue of all kinds.

Natural Cures: Stem cell therapy is said to offer cures to chronic pain conditions, arthritis, degenerative conditions such as Parkinson's, paralysis, cerebral palsy, heart conditions, and more. Bone marrow transplant is a type of stem cell treatment.

04/02/2012: Lauren from Queens, Ny: "Thank you Lisa for your response. One question though.... Any links that you can provide for doctors who do this type of procedure. I googled it but its kinda confusing cause where do you start? Also, how did you find the doctor that did your procedure... Was he recommeded by someone? Just curious. Thank you again for your time."

[YEA]  03/31/2012: Lisa from Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa: "Hi Everyone, I have not written in a long time. I continued though on my quest to help my arthritic hip. It's been seven years of a very long journey that has taken many paths. Through it all, I have learned so much! Especially from Earth Clinic. And with the knowledge I have gained, have been able to help others in health.

Anyway, my last discovery was from here on Earth Clinic. A woman wrote in saying that she no longer suffered from fibromyalgia and it was because she had stem cell therapy. Someone else commented on how amazing that was but she never responded. I definitely took notice of that not realizing that stem cell therapy was even available. I was under the belief that it was still in the research stages. Then, two days later I was reading a book that was written by a woman whom I have great respect for and have heard her speak 3 times. In her first chapter she says that one of the most exciting fields right now is stem cells. That's when a bell went off in me and I was on it!

I immediately went to the internet to research and upon doing so, found a couple of centers where they were offering it. I wrote and one responded right away. The Dr. offered to call me and talk. He explained everything about it to me. It was a whirlwind of events and within 3 weeks I was off to have the procedure done. Within 3 days after the stem cell therapy I was walking normal again! My pain was dramatically reduced and 4 days later I was ziplining through the rainforest for an hour and a half with my husband and two youngest kids! Absolutely amazing!

I am now back to teaching and it's been 10 days since. I called the dr. yesterday to say that each day there is improvement and the Dr. reassured me that the stem cells will continue to do their work for 6 months and I would continue to see improvements, not only in my hips but, throughout my body! Needless to say, I am ecstatic to have my body back. I look forward to adventures once again! What a miracle and gift to humankind! Life is awesome! Best of life to everyone..."

03/31/2012: Lauren from Queens, Ny replies: "Lisa.... So happy to hear about this great improvement in your health. Amazing story.... Do you think this type of therapy can help people with autoimmune diseases like myself. I am hypothyroid and it seems that no matter what I do differently nothing seems to help. Please advice. At this point, I am ready to do almost anything to regain my health. Thank you so much. Enjoy your newfound health. God Bless"
03/31/2012: Lisa from Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa replies: "Hi everyone who responded to my post about my stem cell treatment. First, thank you for your good wishes.

Lauren- yes it can help people with autoimmune diseases. They are getting amazing results for so many things it would be hard to go through the list of what can be treated. Basically, stem cells rebuild, heal and regenerate the body. I truly understand what you mean by trying everything and nothing seems to work. Basically, I was at a point of "why not?" I've tried everything else.

Kelly- The procedure was done by extracting stem cells from my own blood which are then put through a process to activate them, re-introduced into my blood stream and some are kept to inject directly into the "problematic" area which, in my case, were my hips. I also requested my knees since they felt as if they were in the early stages of going in the same direction. Depending on what exactly is the individual's issue, they will tailor where to use the stem cells. The doctor explained to me that the stem cells will continue to do the repair work for six months. I will continue to see improvement. As for the testimonials, well, at the center I went to, they video you and have you give a little testimony the third day after your treatment and they say to just be honest regarding your results and how you feel. I know the video up on the website of the center I went to is just how mine was done so, I don't believe anything was manipulated.

Anyway, I'm just so excited to be out of pain! The best to everyone! May life treat you well..."

04/01/2012: Kelly from Cambridge, MA replies: "Hi Lisa - Thank you for your reply. I was referring to testimonals I'd read prior to your post via a Google search in my 'pain relief travels'.

Since I've no clue where you had your procedure done, I could only go by what others had written of procedures they had done elsewhere (results that I couldn't verify the integrity of, since I know results can be manipulated), so I was very interested in hearing your first-hand experience - one that I know, without question, is verified.

You said that the Dr. told you that you would continue to notice improvements over the next six months (how wonderful to know that as good as you're feeling, that it's going to get even better! ) :) But, does that mean you will have to repeat the procedure at some point after those six months for continued relief, or was the procedure a one-time thing?

What about the cost? Was it ridiculously expensive? To me, there is no price I wouldn't pay for relief, but unfortunately, I am not in a position to pay big bucks out of pocket anytime soon, so I was curious as to what the price range was.

I have great insurance coverage and wish (understatement) they would cover this type treatment. And, since I live in metro-Boston - a virtual medical mecca, I'm sure there are doctors here that perform the procedure.

Congrats again on your success with the treatment! :)"

04/01/2012: Clarity from Los Angeles, Ca replies: "To Lisa from Thousand Oaks: I'm so excited for your fast recouvery. I also have hip issues and am at my wits end. Have attempted all available treatments without success. I live approx. 12 miles from 1000 Oaks and would be very intersted in knowing where you had the stem cell proceedure done. Pls email me at cgstuff20(at)gmail(dot)com.

Thank you for your help."

09/24/2011: Cekm from Melbourne, Australia: "Hi Fellow EC readers. I am 32 male and have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis two years ago, although I have negative rheumatoid factors.

Symptoms: Swelling and stiffness in multiple joints on both sides of the body

First sign of symptoms: December 2009 - No swelling, however was getting sore wrists

March 2009: Symptoms were getting really bad and had first appointment with Rheumatologist.

I have tried and persisted on all the natual remedies with no luck (ACV, wheatgrass, raw juicing, exercise, baking sode with lemon, fish oil, msm, tumeric, flaxseed oil etc.).

I have been researching Stem Cell therapy using the adipose stromal vascular fraction method. Basically taking fat via lipo from your own body then a process of separation of stem cells takes place and are reinjected into either the problem joint and or via IV back into your blood stream.

Pricing ranges from $8k - $20k AUD around the world for the procedure and you can also freeze or you need another session later.

Please let me know any of your comments around a durable long term drug free remission for this procedure. You may know someone or tried it yourself. Apparently they are claiming the stem cells give immunotherapy benefits by being able to re-regulate the immune response and shut down the overactive auto immune state.

I am thinking of getting it done, as Methotrexate is my next option (take sulfasalazine only) which we know has its own issues, or although with natural remedies will give me my life back and protect the longer term damage.

I hope if you are facing something similar that you keep your chin up, as I know what you are going through.

Regards, Cekm"

09/25/2011: Dud from From The Woods Of, Wv, Usa replies: "Cekme, Sounds like you got Lyme disease/fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue syndrome. Apparently caused by some kind of poison, like fluoride or mercury, in your tissues. Poly-Arthritis is a symptom, not a cause. Treat for the cause.

I gave this information to Margaret recently; see if it fits you:

-------------------------

"Margaret;

Poly-myalgia is sometimes a result of fluoride poisoning. Did she by any chance take a prescribed anti-biotic, like cipro, etc, etc, just before getting the symptoms ? [contains fluoride]

Some anti-depressants also contain fluoride. , I think. Many other drugs do contain it also, a long list. Pesticides contain it. Rat poisons contain it. City water supplies contain it.

........... check all her medications to see if they are made/contain from fluoride, in any form.

If so, she must detox from it.

Research fibromylgia, lyme disease, CFS, treatment protocols."

-----------------------------------------

read the earthclinic. com article on fluoride as cause of lyme disease."

09/25/2011: Cekm from Adelaide, Australia replies: "Hi Dud, Wow you are right, I was given antibiotics two years ago and then after this for some reason BANG life has been a misery. I am going to ring the doctor to find out what he gave me, but life has been a disaster even since. How do I get the fluoride out of my body?

Cheers, Cekm"

09/26/2011: Dud from From The Woods Of, Wv, Usa replies: "Cekme; I have been caring for a family member who also has been plagued with the "poly-arthralgia" [= roving joint pains], tendon soreness, mucle soreness, joint soreness, CFS = chronic fatigue syndrome, and for awhile, colitis, or IBS, connected to wheat gluten sensitivity, which was also brought on by the fluoride poisoning process. Also developed rickets of the bones, or osteomalacia. And no doubt osteo-penia and osteo-porosis. Sudden onset about 3 years ago. Probable cause of fluoride poisoning, possibly from a fluoride based rat poison, or insecticide; from a suspicious source.

We stumbled around in the wilderness of the germ theory of disease for about 6 months while the disease symptoms got worse and worse, and the rickets/osteo-malacia set in, as the fluoride caused the calcium to be ravaged from the bones, as the body attempted to save the poisoned one's life by sacrificing the bones calcium stores to keep the blood's pH within the narrow pH range of the living.

After failing to get any relief by playing the germ-theory game, I eventually stumbled upon the fluoride theory of arthritis, poly-arthritis, LYMES disease, CFS, FMS, osteo-malacia, rickets, osteo-porosis, IBS, alzheimers, etc., etc.

One of the chief sources of information on this was from a article by a JASON UTLEY. http://www.earthclinic.com/CAUSE_OF_FIBROMYALGIA.pdf ..... , or: http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/fibromyalgia.html#cause ....... and then many other new sources I found on the internet, by search engine searches using "fluoride", fluoride poisoning" , "fluoride arthritis" etc.

As to how to detox from fluoride, I would get calcium and magnesium and sodium minerals, and others, into my blood to try to quench the fluoride atoms from acid-ifying the blood. Choose the ionic forms of these minerals, that dissove in water, and are capable of donating their electrons to the blood chemistry, for use in quenching and neutralizing the fluoride ions. Go to this page, and read Bangkok Ted's ideas on using borax, baking soda, and lemon juice to neutralize the fluoride ions in the blood : Earth Clinic remedies to Remove Fluoride Poisoning and Buildup.
www.earthclinic.com/CURES/fluoride.html
......... Do a search on earthClinic.com for "fluoride" and one on "fibromyalgia" also. Read up on all these ideas.

This should get you started on learning what to do.

The things I am told that can help remove fluoride from the body are: iodine, borax, cilantro herb as food, blood alkalyzing minerals, sea salt minerals.

The best symptom relief method I have seen work is the taking of hot water soaks in a bathtub, for about 30 minutes per treatment. using 1 quart of EPSOM SALTS and 1 tablespoon of BORAX, in the soak water..... For relief of arthritis & fibromyalgia symptoms. At least temporarily.

After the fluoride ions are removed: To undo the damage caused by the fluoride poison on the bones & cartilidges & muscles might take months & years of nutritional type supplementation, or special diets; I think.

I hope this helps you some.

Above all, learn all the possible sources of this poison.

note: bromide is a close cousin to fluoride, and is capable of causing most or all of the same damages. So you could also be suffering from bromide toxicity symptoms also. It is in the food supply also."

09/27/2011: Dud from From The Woods Of, Wv, Usa replies: "Cekme;... Addendum to last post :

If you are having trouble believing that hidden toxins can cause degenerative diseases; note that the powers that be teach that the disease of polio is caused by a germ, a biotic, a virus. They teach it so you will believe it. The historical evidence is that it is caused by a toxin called DDT. Polio never existed before DDT existed. [ circa 1890's] When DDT was banned as a insecticide in the USA, new cases of polio began fading away there.

the powers that be claimed that some injected monkey pus [or something similar] caused it to go away. No giant corporations that sold DDT were ever held liable in the courts for giving anyone polio. No profits were lost. Brain-washing successful. Thank you, scientists;... Here is some money.... We will just call it "research" money. [wink, wink]

Fluoride is similar. The carnage it creates is similar. Go on some of the LYME disease message boards on the w.w.w. and read some of these people's stories. Some of them choose to commit suicide rather than go on."

10/25/2011: Cekm from Adelaide, Australia replies: "Hi All, You guys are so amazing with your time. The medication I was prescribe two years ago is called Zinat here in Australia, used for treating viral infections of the airways and sinusus. Let me know if you can find out any info.

The condition has spread to my eyes now which is so upsetting, my career is really in jeapordy and I've just received a promotion. I am going to hit Ted's set up hard (Borax, ACV with BiCarb Soda & Magnesium) and buy a electronic PH meter. I am now also having to go on Enbrel to get things under control in the short term.

You guys are so great with your time.

Thanks again."

06/27/2012: Lisa from Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa: "It was in Ecuador and the place is called American Stem Cell and Anti-Aging Center or ASCAAC. You can find them if you google it and also on facebook. They have a center in Trinidad and the Grand Cayman Islands. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! The best to you, Lisa"

06/26/2012: Lisa from Thousand Oaks, Ca, USA: "I have been coming on EC for a pretty long time so many people are familiar with me. I had major hip issues due to all my years as a dancer. Basically, I had stage 4 osteoarthritis and after 7 years of searching for an alternative to hip replacements and dealing with a lot of pain, I found out about stem cell therapy. It worked! I can walk again. I can't say that I am 100% since I still have some pain but I can walk again, stand and sit easily, etc.

Well, in my research and also talking with the doctors at the center I went to, I found they are having great success with spinal injuries, brain disorders, autism, etc. The doctors told me they especially have very good success with nerve issues, damage, etc. It's not something they tell us about here in this country but it's being done in other parts of the world! In Germany, Spain, China, South America...The strides they are making in this field are absolutely amazing! It would be worth at least looking into if it can give your son quality of life improvement. On the site of the center where I had my stem cell therapy done they even have quite a bit of amazing footage of people on their recovery. If you have any further questions or would like leads, let me know. My heart goes out to you as I have had five of my own children and as a parent, we only want the best for them.

I wish you the very best on your path, Lisa"

General Feedback

12/27/2012: Catrina from U.k: "Hi Lisa, Thank you for getting back to me. Apologies for my delay in replying. I didn't know that stem cell therapy would involve "excruciating pain" in fact there doesn't seem to be an awful lot of information out there as regards stem cell therapy and indeed peoples experience, so I was hoping you might be able to write a brief description of your experience, maybe including where you went for your initial consultation and indeed how long it took in total from start to finish. It would also be great if you could describe how they take the cells etc or what is involved. I believe that some clinics use embryonic cells while others use your own cells I wonder which would be the best. I looked up the link that you have in your favourites and as far as I can see they all seem to be outside of America, I don't know how realistic that would be for a woman travelling on her own. I am not aware of any places here in Europe that do it. Thanks again. Catrina"

12/27/2012: Lisa from Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa replies: "Hi Catrina, I assume you are referring to my post about neural therapy following the stem cell therapy. Well, the pain was from the inflammation created in my knees and hips after the injections were given which is normal since healing can involve inflammation. Not everyone experiences this since not everyone is having site specific issues. If that is the case, they have no pain after whatsoever. At least, this is what friends who have gone after me have told me. And you are right, there is very little information available here in the US regarding stem cell therapy. Unfortunately, what press people have told me of is the negative story that 60 Minutes aired. This is quite unfortunate since many are seeing relief through stem cell therapy for a variety of issues.

Honestly, the entire process took 4 days but the stem cell therapy itself was only about 4 hours total. The other days included initial consultation with x-rays to verify the problem and best angle to proceed, vitamin c IV therapy, lymphatic drainage and after the stem cell therapy, neural therapy for the two days following and more vitamin c IV and lymphatic drainage. The stem cells were extracted from the vein in my arm and that process took about 2 1/2 hrs. It was followed by injections in my hips and knees. They were also put back in systemically. The clinic I went with uses your own mesenchymal stem cells which are strong and multipotent in their ability. There is no use of embryonic stem cells which can have side effects.

I went to Ecuador for my treatment but the same clinic now has them in Trinidad, Jamaica and the Grand Cayman Islands. All of these opened after I went for my treatment. To date, I have had a few friends follow who have all had positive results.

As for yourself, there are centers in Europe, notably Germany which have been using stem cells for many years successfully now. You might want to research it.

Anyway, I hope this information helps. Best of health to you, Lisa"

09/15/2012: Lisa from Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa replies: "Hi Susan, I promised I'd ask my Dr. about stem cell therapy for this issue. Currently, they are doing myopia and optic nerve studies. He told me they can do the treatment for this but at this point, there is no confirmed research. Patients who come to do this as a "study" pay a greatly reduced rate. If you need more information, you can always speak directly to the Dr. Hope this helps, Lisa"

09/12/2012: Robyn from Melbourne, Australia: "I would love to have this treatment as nothing in 30 yrs has helped the pain. I have followed up on Lisa's suggestion but because my mcs and emf is so bad I couldn't travel on a plane, certainly not that far. I found a place in Aust 1 hr away. I would be the 1st patient - hows that for scary. And in Aust its only legal if the cells are harvested from your own fat so that is surgery. I have addisons disease which makes surgery risky. Has anyone heard of colostrum being a good stem cell maker? Unfortunately, the earthing mat has made no difference to my tolerance of electricals. And where I go in for a shower and a proper meal is being painted and recarpeted on the 19th. Im in real trouble because I wont be able to access this place and any places I look at for rent just arent glass houses without new things in them."

Am so sorry that you are having such a difficult time right now, and hope we can figure out a way for you to get your life back. Hang in there!"
09/13/2012: Lisa from Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa replies: "Hi Robyn, I have a question for you. I know acupuncture didn't work at all for you but, did you ever go to a Traditional Chinese medicine Dr. and herbalist? They see the body very differently from western medicine. Instead of acupuncture, perhaps Chinese herbs could correct things. It's a thought. Lisa"
09/13/2012: Robyn from Melbourne, Australia replies: "Lisa hello, over the 20 yrs indeed yes. Quite a few times, then not for a long time and again just recently. Drinking a very tasty!! Concoction of dried mushrooms, roots and herbs. Never any change. Being scared is not a state I like to be in, doesnt help the body get out of the sympathetic state but I know from experience what its going to be like when they start painting in here. Im going to be in the gutter. The stress of living in extreme pain outside where you cant get proper food and bombarded with allergants will probably kill me. My adrenals do not work at all as it is. No one can help me because theres no allergy free houses in Oz. You have some of them over there I have found. "

08/01/2012: Luigilu from Hollywood, Fl: "A posting by Lisa from Thousand Oaks, Ca, USA dealing with stem cell therapy interested me; the therapy resolved a hip problem for her. My experience was the opposite, and I'm trying to determine whether my negative reaction from injections made from my own blood came from my condition or from the injections and the way they were administered.

I have a torqued pelvis and subsequent right hip and leg problem; I can't have a hip replacement because of metal holding together my femur for 45 years. Since stem cell injections into my right hip and knee last Oct. 20, I have been unable to walk without a cane. I had pain in the knee (which was replaced June 22, 2010) and hip before the injections but was able to walk wihtout a limp. The injections appeared to trigger a toxic reaction in my body, though the MD who administered them denies that such could ever happen. (He ran late on the day he injected me; he asked me to stand, drop my jeans and he injected me in the semi-dark as he kneeled on the floor beside the chair. ) I'm now spending $200/week for CHEK therapy, which I hope will help me walk without assistance.

Comments, please."

I've worked with, it had to do with the way your procedure took place. My Dr. had carefully studied my x-ray and discerned where the best point of entry would be for the best results. She was very careful and calculated and had very sensitive hands as she palpated me. Again, I am so sorry you have had to go through this. Where did you have this done? What were the conditions? Was it in Florida? I remember seeing places there when I was doing research. Have you reported him? I have so many questions for you but, don't want to bombard you.

If you would like to speak to my Dr. regarding this, to perhaps get some insight into it, I would give you his number to reach him. Hearing

06/27/2012: Lisa from Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa: "I have a friend who has cheered me on, hoping it would work for me. When it did, she felt so inspired because her daughter who is 13 is deaf and currently, they are working on restoring hearing through stem cells. Her hope is that in her daughter's lifetime it may one day become an option for her! I have had 5 friends follow my lead and none of them are rich! Perhaps it's just values and where we choose to use our money. I work hard and save my money but this was worth trying, knowing I was taking somewhat of a gamble since I didn't know anyone first hand who had had it done. I wanted my life back.

That said, I wish you the best and I hope everyone understands my intentions were to let others know this does exist and it does work since it's not really being given as an option here. The best to everyone in their quest for health, Lisa"

07/13/2012: Lisa from Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa replies: "Hi Brenda, I just wanted to tell you that I was talking to my Dr.who was in charge of my stem cell therapy this morning and was asking him about it being done for hearing for a friend. He said he's done quite a few with success in restoring hearing but he would need to know if it could work for each individual's personal cause of hearing loss. If it is at all helpful, I can give you his number if you would like to ask him specifics regarding you and your sisters. He is a very honest and straightforward man.

As for the good and the bad, well, the good being I can walk again! I was telling the Dr.that I still have some pain and he said it's only been 4 months, I need to give it more time. The stem cells continue to do their healing work for 6 months. So, I will do just that and wait for the remaining time.

I will use your email address and contact you so that you will then have mine so if you have any questions that you'd rather not post, you can ask me there. Wishing you the best, Lisa"

Multiple Sclerosis

05/29/2012: Leo from Pune, India: "David Summers, a 37 year old MS patient from Murfreesboro, Tennessee was a score of 8.0 on the Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) when he had the Combination Liberation Therapy and Stem Cell Transplantation at CCSVI Clinic in March of 2012. Having been diagnosed in 1996 he had been in a wheelchair for the past decade without any sensation below the waist or use of his legs.
"It was late 2011 and I didn't have much future to look forward to" says David. "My MS was getting more progressive and ravaging my body. I was diagnosed as an 8. 0 on the EDSS scale; 1 being mild symptoms, 10 being death. There were many new lesions on my optic nerves, in my brain and on my spinal cord. My neurologist just told me: 'be prepared to deteriorate'. I knew that he was telling me I didn't have much time left, or at least not much with any quality. " David had previously sought out the liberation therapy in 2010 and had it done in a clinic in Duluth Georgia. "The Interventional Radiologist who did it told me that 50% of all MS patients who have the jugular vein-clearing therapy eventually restenose. I didn't believe that would happen to me if I could get it done. But I have had MS for 16 years and apparently my veins were pretty twisted up". Within 90 days, David's veins had narrowed again, and worse, they were now blocked in even more places than before his procedure.
"I was so happy after my original procedure in 2010. I immediately lost all of the typical symptoms of MS. The cog fog disappeared, my speech came back, the vision in my right eye improved, I was able to regulate my body temperature again, and some of the sensation in my hands came back. But as much as I wanted to believe I felt something, there was nothing below the waist. I kind of knew that I wouldn't get anything back in my legs. There was just way too much nerve damage now". But any improvements felt by David lasted for just a few months.
After his relapse, David and his family were frustrated but undaunted. They had seen what opening the jugular veins could do to improve him. Because the veins had closed so quickly after his liberation procedure, they considered another clinic that advocated stent implants to keep the veins open, but upon doing their due diligence, they decided it was just too risky. They kept on searching the many CCSVI information sites that were cropping up on the Internet for something that offered more hope. Finding a suitable treatment, especially where there was no known cure for the disease was also a race against time. David was still suffering new attacks and was definitely deteriorating. Then David's mother Janice began reading some patient blogs about a Clinic that was offering both the liberation therapy and adult autologous stem cell injections in a series of procedures during a hospital stay. "These patients were reporting a 'full recovery' of their neurodegenerative deficits" says Janice, "I hadn't seen anything like that anywhere else". She contacted CCSVI Clinic in late 2011 and after a succession of calls with the researchers and surgeons they decided in favor of the combination therapies.
"I went to CCSVI Clinic in India without knowing what to expect" says David, "but I basically had one shot left and this was it. I was becoming pretty disabled, and I couldn't think very clearly". David was triaged with a clinic intake of other MS patients and had the liberation therapy on March 27, 2012. They also drew bone marrow from his hip bone in the same procedure. When he woke up from the procedure, he again felt the immediate effect of the widening of the veins. "In case anyone doesn't believe that the liberation therapy works, I can tell them that this is much more than placebo effect. " The MS symptoms described earlier again disappeared. Four days later he had the first of the stem cell injections from the cultured cells taken from his hip bone during the liberation therapy. The first transplant was injected into the area just below his spine. Over the next 4 days he would receive about 100 million stem cells cultured in specific growth factors for differentiated effect.
He was not quite prepared for what happened next. A few hours after the first transplant, he was taken back into his hospital room and was transferred to the hospital bed. "I'm not completely helpless when it comes to moving from a chair or a bed", says David, "One of the things I can do for myself is to use my arms to throw my leg into a position to be able to shift the rest of my body weight over to where I'm going. But this time to my amazement, I didn't have to pick up the dead weight of my leg and throw it. It moved on its own, exactly where my brain told it to go". Shortly after his first stem cell transplant procedure, some motor function in his lower body had returned. "This was the first time in 10 years I had any sensation or motor function below my waste so it was quite a shock. "
In the next month, most every motor nerve and body function has either returned or is on its way to recovery. "It's been over a decade since I've had any power over my elimination functions. Now it's all come back. I have total bladder control". He's also working out every day, following the physiotherapy routine given him by the clinic. "For years, I haven't been able to work out without getting sick for a couple of days afterward. Now I have muscles popping out all over the place where I haven't seen them since my MS became progressiveĀ…and I can work out as hard or as much as I want. With my ability to do the hard work my balance is improving each day and I'm able to take steps unassisted. I'm definitely going to be coming all the way back. "
Dr. Av Gupte, the neurosurgeon who has now done over 2000 adult autologous stem cell transplants for various neurologic disease conditions says that the stem cells in David's body will continue to work their healing process for the next year. "With the incredible progress I've seen so far, I won't need a year", says David. "It's only been a little over two months and I have most everything back. I can't wait to get up each day to check out my improvements. My right hand is completely back to normal without any numbness and the left is on its way. I have good strength in my legs now and I'm working on the balance".
Other MS patients treated with the combination therapy over the past 18 months have seen similar improvements but none have been as disabled as David. "If I can come back from where I was, most everyone with MS could too. For me, CCSVI Clinic has been my miracle and I can't say enough about the doctors, researchers and staff who are helping me to recover. For me, MS was my previous diagnosis"."

[YEA]  09/11/2012: Carolyn from Lufkin, Tx Usa: "I have a friend who was in constant pain and looking for something that would alleviate it. When I saw the posts from Lisa of Thousand Oaks about stem cell treatments, I realized that might be the answer. After talking with her, I knew in my heart that was indeed the answer.

My friend traveled to Jamaica and was treated at the American Stem Cell Institute. This is a branch of the one that Lisa used in Ecuador. He has been home a week, and boy, is there a distinct difference in his health! Before he went, he could not walk without a walker, and then only a few steps before he had to rest. He also suffers from kidney disease brought about due to diabetes. He is now walking without assistance with only a slight limp. His complexion before going was very gray and sallow, but now, he has nice rosy cheeks. The best part is his attitude. He now is planing for a productive future instead of looking for a nursing home to live out his days. I know it sounds too good to be true, but if he has made this much progress in a week, just imagine what will happen in a month.

I will forever be grateful to Lisa for her kindness and expertise in this endeavor. She is a Godsend! And thanks to Earth Clinic for printing her information about stem cell therapy. It has probably saved my friend's life. I will post again as he progresses."

Because there is so little information regarding stem cell therapy in this country and often what we see in the media is negative, we feel very unsure. So, in a sense we took a gamble. I'm so happy I was able to give you feedback to encourage your friend. That was something I didn't have but I had reached rock bottom and felt there was nothing to lose at that point! Anyway, I am grateful I can tell others it is an option. Blessings to all, Lisa"

Carolyn, I am from Mount Pleasant, Texas. My dad is 66 years old, a diabetic with end stage renal disease on dialysis and neuropathy. In the last year I have watched him go from being somewhat healthy to barely able to walk. Can you please email me the information to get him help through stem cell therapy? Thanks so much."
