I want to thank you for this website. Last 7 years every time I would get a cold it would go straight into a full blown cronic cough for at least 2 to 3 months. The doctors have gave me the highest dose of cough syrup, inhalers, steroids and it wouldn't touch it. So last night i finally was desperate, because i had not slept in 4 days. so i saw that people were using apple cider vinegar with honey. I didn't have the honey, so i just took 2 tbls of apple cider vinegar and with in 1/2 hour I had relief. I have been taking it every 2 to 3 hours and within 16 hours my cough is minimal. After all those Dr visits and money,I have found something that works. Thanks again.

My 8 year old son has had a very bad cough for days now. In desperation during the night, I stumbled on your website. I tried the ACV and honey recipe, 50/50 and although it seemed to work for a short while it did not last. However, I tried again with only a spoonful of ACV and the results were fantastic. My father in law who is Greek swears that garlic, honey and vinegar are natures best natural medecines. He says we should all take a spoonfull of each once every day to stay healthy.

My 6 year old daughter was coughing uncontrollably EVERY 2 seconds yesterday. She has allergies and a cough that accompanies it. Her allergies and cough lasts throughout the school year. However, yesterday she sounded like she had bronchitis. The cough was non- stop. I was very desperate for a solution for her cough. I stumbled across the site and went out and bought Apple Cider Vinegar. I tried the remedy and it worked. Today I bought _ Apple Cider Vinegar with "The Mother" and THAT DID IT. It has been 20 mins now AND NO COUGH. I am SO AMAZED I FEEL LIKE SHOUTING IT FROM THE ROOF TOP. I have spent so much money on cough syrups that DON'T WORK... this is all it took. My entire family will be taking this EVERY day as it has MANY MANY other health benefits as well. If you are desperate for a cough remedy THIS IS IT... please go and get ACV NOW, IT WORKS..

The ACV and honey is a miracle cure for me. I am 63 years old and every time I get a cold, I end up with a horrible cough. My husband and I were going out of town to a Broadway show and I had just started coughing constantly. I was so afraid I would not be able to attend the show, so I googled "coughing cures" and found the ACV & honey cure. I tried it immediately with regular ACV from the store and regular honey. It burned on the way down, but I could see such an improvement almost immediately! I took doses 3-4 hours apart for 2 days. I still coughed a little bit, but the improvment was miraculous! I was able to attend the show with no problem as well as do shopping, eating out, etc. When I think about all the sleepless nights I have had coughing my head off, I wish I had checked out this site before. Thank you so much for this information. It truly is amazing!

I had chronic cough for 6 years. I have been in Jewish Medical Center in Denver for many tests but the conclusion is nothing wrong with me. Every time I catch cold and it make me cough for three or four months. In August 17, 2007, I search for chronic cough remedy and stumble in to this site. I start taking ACV and honey the same day. The cough stopped the third days. I had surgery for my both knees, and the pain is constant. The ACV stop knee pain after the fourth day I take ACV. It's unbelievable. The cough does not go away completely. The ACV cure my cough about ninety percent. After suffer so many years, I am happy with the result. I still have to take ACV every day. Thank you for all of you who post your experience at the site.

My mother is in her 70s now and has had a persistant cough for the last 9 months, her throat was sore sometimes and very phlegmy, she would have bouts of coughing that would leave her chest in pain, doctors had prescribed click inhalers, we had tried all kinds of medicines,no cure though.i decided to check the net and found this sight, i read about the cider vinegar and honey remedies so i got a jam and filled it to halfway with apple cider vinegar and added the equivelant in honey, closed it and gave the mixture a good shake, its 9 hours now since my mother had her 1st dose(1 tablespoon)and 3 hours since her 2nd,she coughed up a scab from the throat within an hour, apart from a couple of minor coughs, all is quiet. To think of all the money these so called doctors make, and a simple remedy like this has appeared to have done the trick, many thanks to this site, p.s,taking the mixture myself, i've had a bit of a phlegmy throat myself for a long time, and my eyes have been extremely puffy, read it could cure the eye problem, will keep you posted on that one, once again thanks.

I had started to cough 2 months ago. I went to my doctor on several occasions just to be told to take claritin for my "allergies". Then, she told me it must be acid reflux and prescribed medication (w/o sending me to an ENT doctor). Both claritin and the acid reflux med DID NOT take my cough away. She also suggested I see a lung doctor which scared the hell out of me. So, I decided to take my health into my own hands and found your website. I went out that night to p/up ACV at my local organic store. I took 2 tablespoons w/water once a day. In 3 days, my cough subsided 90%. This stuff really works. I also don't feel bloated anymore (no matter what I eat) and have lost a couple of pounds!! I'm SO happy I'm not coughing anymore! THANK YOU!

I've had a cough for over a month. Saturday night it was worse than ever. I feel like I literally coughed for 6 hours straight. I was sure I was going to pass away. With nothing to loses, I started searching the internet and found this site. I used two table spoons of _______s ACV, two teasp of all natural honey, and 1/4 tsp of baking soda. I took it every few hours for a total of 3, or 4 times on Sunday. I only coughed a couple of times that night and by the next day it was 99% better. So, now that I know it works, I need to know how. It's really quite incredible! Thank you so much for having this site!!

Editor's Choice

My 18 year old son had a cold many weeks ago. Since then he has had a cough. At first we thought it was from the cold, but it has lingered and he is wondering if it is allergies. He has been taking Vitamin C and turmeric, and was using a nebulizer with colloidal silver. But he isn't very consistent with treatment, especially with an odd work schedule.

I noticed here at Earth Clinic that sometimes the apple cider vinegar and baking soda tonic works for a cough. I was thinking about this while making dinner and I heard him cough. I thought about how the tonic would be alkalizing. And then I recalled that this son drinks a lot of coffee, which can make you pretty acidic. So I fixed him up a glass of the apple cider vinegar and baking soda tonic - 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and 12 ounces of water. He skeptically drank it down.

At bedtime, rather sheepishly, he asked, what was in that drink? I think it really helped. I have hardly coughed since dinner. Usually I hear him coughing in the morning when he is making his breakfast before work. Today is an early work day. I heard him scrambling eggs at 4 am and did not hear a single cough, though his cough usually sounds pretty bad in the morning.

I don't know if his cough was from his cold, an allergy, or something else. But I know that the apple cider vinegar and baking soda tonic worked very well for his cough!!

M to M,

Some nebulizers can not deliver enough silver particles to the lungs because the surface area of the lungs can be close to the size of half of a tennis court.

Another way to get enough silver particles into the lungs is using an ultrasonic humidifier. Something to keep in mind in case the cough returns.

Avoid Olive Oil

My wife had a persistant cough which lasted for months. Nothing worked until somebody suggested not to use olive oil in cooking.

We would use olive oil to cook our curries everyday. We started to use butter instead of olive oil and the relief from coughing came overnight.

Other people with coughs we suggested to give up olive oil had similar results.

The latest was my wife's nephew who is a fit young man, regular gym goer who despite frequent visits to his doctor was told nothing could be done.

After we told him to avoid olive oil his cough disappeared almost overnight.

Last night we had some vegetables roasted in olive oil and predictably my wife is coughing this morning.

I do not appear to have any such problems with olive oil.

Here's hoping lessons have been learned.

I tried searching for this remedy but couldn't find it so decided to write this post.

Hello, Jin (Birmingham, UK) ---

Not too long ago the board that deals with olive oil internationally, decided to make it legal to sell olive adulterated with GMO and other chemicals and olive oil might only be a small percentage when the consumer purchases it.

Ordinarily, no one has complained so far about pure olive oil till the decision to deceive the consumer was made. Somebody even wrote a book about this travesty. Today there is not really a way knowing what one brings home and one has to research and use caution as there is no transparency.

Namaste, Om

Om, one way to know what you are getting, is simply to smell it. That's a good test for virgin olive oil and for real coconut oil. (If you can stomach the "real thing" that is...)

My mother had the same for about 3 years. This was caused by her teeth. She had a bridge for 30 years and had a bad tooth. She had it pulled and no more problems. She also changed her blood pressure tablets. Read the side effects of the medication. Oil Pulling will be a good idea.

Black Seed Oil

My coughing is related to allergy/cold induced asthma so, my efforts to use natural remedies lead me to black seed oil (nigella sativa). I take 1 tsp in the am and one tsp in the pm. It tastes pretty icky so wash it down with some juice. I just take it and drink a glass of water afterwards. No coughing or congestion at all. Because I take this remedy to control my asthma symptoms, I take it every day - and because of it's immune system support, will take it the rest of my life. The first couple of days using it, I had some detox symptoms - phlegm, blowing nose, wake up with headaches but now, my sinuses are clear, no coughing, decreased asthma symptoms (I use Bill Munroe's H202 therapy as my asthma as needed protocol).....I get the black seed oil that is organic and cold pressed off of the "big A." Amazing oil.

I had a deep cough for a year and antibiotics didn't help.I had a x-ray and there was no infection the hospital said. I found a book on breathing properly called belly breathing.. Not breathing from the upper chest. After a little while the coughing stopped.
