ACV Combinations
Posted by Trudyg (Xxx, Yyy) on 07/09/2013
I've been taking Apple Cider Vinegar daily for quite some time. I also take baking soda to alkalize and I take a 'fingertip' of borax. Then I read to take molasses for my insomnia--it also should help with my arthritis and migraines. So, my question is, can I combine all this into one mixture so I'm not drinking so much fluid? I can drink 1/2 cup of water and I pee within 5 minutes. I pee a lot, and often. the Apple Cider Vinegar helps to slow that down, but I can't be leaving my desk that often and have insomnia anyway so I don't want to be up at night. If they can be combined it would help, but I know that some things should be taken apart from each other. Thanks.

Posted by G (Nyc, Ny) on 01/13/2012
I drink 2 cups of coffee every morninig. The first cup I add coconut oil. The second cup I add blackstrap molasses. Can I add ACV to either of these? If so, which one would it be more beneficial to add it to. Thanks in advance.

I've been taking molasses and ACV w/ 1 cup of grapefruit juice in the morning, then ACV and grapefruit juice before I eat a meal.
The nodes on my hands have nearly disappeared but now I have pain I my hips and my knees. It seems to be more from a swelling that appears behind my kneecaps and not in the joints. I'm unsure of the hip pain. I've never had pain in these places before and now I'm worried I harmed myself with drinking these combinations. Can anybody help me with suggestions?

This is just to let everyone know what I have found out using Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV), Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) and blackstrap molasses to my health routine. I started out with VCO first and used wayy too much. Start small....about 1/2 tsp or so and then increase over time. It detoxed my body too quickly and I felt terrible for over a month. After reading this website, I tried melting my VCO first and adding it with food...worked great!! I'm up to 2tbs. a day and it's fantastic. More energy, skin feels great and stomach doesn't get upset with anything I eat. When I found this website, I started using ACV....found out to start small with that, too. I started with 2tbs. twice a day and should of started with 2 to 3x tsps. a day.Kinda felt bad with that, too at first, so I cut back. Then I read about the blackstrap molasses and tried too much of that, too. Just doing 1 tbs. with 2tbs. of ACV and 1/8tsp. of baking soda at night does wonders for my skin and keeping me regular. When I did the VCO, my skin had alot breakouts, but I perserved and realized that it was detoxing the way it was suppose to. The ACV is great for removing moles....just like everybody said. My best recommendation is to start small and then increase. I love this website.....thank you!!!

ACV, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Coconut Oil
Posted by Harmony74 (Oceanport , NJ) on 06/22/2009
I was wondering, can I take grapefruit seed extract and apple cider vinegar together, well not at the exact same time but together in one day ? I am taking 15 drops of GSE 4 times a day (I have athlets foot and allergies) and 2tbs ACV in a liter of water a day(am going to reduce to 2 tsp in 16 oz of water in about a week), and I am also taking 3 tbs of coconut oil a day. Is all this together (taken throughout different times of the day) ok ? I concerned about on cancelling out the other, among other things, Im new at this Thanks!

ACV, Lemon Juice, Baking Soda +
Posted by Karrie (Birmingham, UK) on 05/16/2022 2 posts
Hello, I'm new to this site but already find it incredibly useful! When I read people's advice on remedies we can use for different ailments, one thing I'm wondering is: how many of these can I add together? Say, someone is recommending apple cider vinegar for acne. Someone else is recommending lemon juice, someone else - baking soda and someone else - coconut oil and yet someone else - honey. What if I take all 5 ingredients and mix them all together to use as one face wash/tonic? Will the effectiveness of each ingredient still be there or do I run the risk of some of them cancelling each other out.. or at least reducing each other's effectiveness? Moreover, is there a risk of this mix being damaging to my face instead of beneficial?
Thank you!

ACV, Turmeric, Oil Pulling
Posted by Jeanie (Burlington, Nc) on 02/13/2010
I have read so many great things about apple cider vinegar, turmeric and oil pulling on this site that I just have to try why not what do I have to lose?! But, I have a few questions that I can't seem to find an answer to on this site and I am hoping someone can enlighten me on this subject. Can you take a combination of the three remedies? Would you even want to do that or is it redundant? Do you take these remedies as a lifetime maintenance program or use them as needed? Thank you in advance for your help.

Aloe Vera, Coconut Oil

Can you take aloe vera and coconut oil at the same time? I don't mean literally together but as a part of the same regimen or should they be separate? I would like to take the aloe for my blood pressure and use the coconut oil to control my weight.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Posted by Jaques (Brighton, England) on 09/08/2009
its recommended to take your ACV on an empty stomach, so could anyone tell me why then do many people who take it on their meals, i.e. on the salad, have no adverse affects? Does this suggest that drinking it with the bicarb and water and then eating a meal would be ok - this is confusing me a bit.
I have been on acv for GERD which helps for a year but i notice it hasnt brought down my high BP which i am considering taking h202 for, but again, it is on empty stomach - does anyone know if you can mix the two?

Borax, Apple Cider Vinegar and Baking Soda
Please help me. Yesterday I suddenly vomited twice, which is rare for me as I have a stomach of steel. Here is what I am doing, am generally healthy but could lose 50 pounds to be the weight I was in high school long ago. I have 1/8 tsp. of baking soda in a 12 oz glass of water 2 times a day. I have a 1/2 gallon jug of water I put 1/8 tsp. of borax in and I drink from the jug all day long. I also put 1/2 lemon in a 12 oz. glass of hot water with 2 TB ACV and chug the glass down as I do not like the taste. Did I upset my stomach from the ACV drinking too fast, or did I have a reaction to the borax, or is there a vomit side effect from all 3 items? I have been doing this for 3 weeks with no effects. Today nothing as I am afraid to do anything. Help would be greatly appreciated as it sounds like this should be helpful to any body. Thank you, Celia

Apple Cider Vinegar and Medication
Posted by Sunny (Sarasota, Florida) on 09/20/2012
Some years ago I read a book written by a Vermont Dr. Jarvis. I followed the instructions to drink a mixture of apple cider, and water with my meals to help lose weight. I was very happy with the success I had.
But I have gained weight again in the past few years, and would like to try this diet again. However.. due to a heart problem, I have had surgery to place a stent in my heart, and must take Plavix (blood thinner) as well as 1 aspirin per day.
What I would like to know is if including the ACV back into my diet be safe along with the plavix, and asprin?
Thank You. With much appreciation, Sunny

Apple Cider Vinegar and Medication
Posted by Emm (My City, Usa ) on 01/23/2012
★☆☆☆☆WARNING!
After trusting advice for an upset stomach I headed to take a couple TBSP of ACV to rid my upset stomach. I take some expensive highly regulated medications as well. I was NOT informed this should be taken about an hour prior to or longer after taking my prescriptions. I was, however assured, it should be fine to take with meds. In about fifteen to about twenty minutes later experienced horrible swelling of my stomach then explosive vomiting. The vinegar reacted badly to my prescribed meds! Now, I had to wait twelve hours before taking my next dose and that dose I just took was gone! DO TAKE EXTREME CARE IF TAKING MEDS AND ACV CLOSELY TOGETHER! You may suffer. ACV does work when taken properly and not close to ingesting prescription meds.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Supplements

Is it good to be taking organic apple cider vinegar while taking vitamin supplements?
