- 8 oz. of distilled water
- 2 tsp. of ACV
- 4 to 5 drops of liquid Stevia
I've only been doing it for a couple of days and the only thing I've noticed is that I actually crave the drink now. I have suffered with sinus problems my ENTIRE life!!!! I am praying that this brings relief. I have taken so so many antibotics only for it to come right back as soon as I am off them. I'm so excited to see all the comments and benefits of this WONDERFUL juice!

2 tablespoons of ACV and I either put enough baking soda for it to stop fizzing or 1/4 teaspoon of it. Add apple juice. I usually only do 3/4 the cup. That's it. See, I took time off my tight schedule to tell everyone this because it seems like people like me aren't drinking it and everyone's saying that it works for so many things, just not for me.

I honestly cannot discern from your comment whether or not ACV works for you."NOT nice"-tasting? Or just not good, altogether? If it "does not work" for you, and you are still taking it this way, it could be because the ACV benefits were coming from the acidic properties of the ACV, and you've been neutralizing the acid completely with the baking soda.

1 cup water
1 packet or serving of stevia
1 TBSP ACV
I also added:
1/2 tsp. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
1 tsp. Cinnamon
This changed the taste to a more exotic tea-like flavor but it's great both ways. I just wanted the extra health benefits of the Cinnamon and EVCO.
If you can't stand ACV, try this. It is amazingly delicious.

I stirred about 1 TBS of ACV to my serving of ranch dressing today. It made the dressing taste similar to Blue Cheese salad dressing. Much more palatable than water/acv shots I've been taking :)

ACV Chai
I have created an ACV Vanilla Chai beverage that is very palatable. I create it in 64 oz batches using a 1 tsp ACV to 8 oz of water ratio. I use organic/natural vanilla chai tea bags (3 or 4), add 8 tsp of honey, 1 tbsp of cinnamon and ~1 tbsp of cloves for taste. The beverage/concoction is delicious either hot or cold. I usually drink it tepid.

I really believe ACV is life-altering in the best way. I feel like it clears out your body and being.
One of my friends was sick with a flu or a little virus and he took the recommended bath by Dr. Hazel Parcells - 2 cups of ACV in a hot bath - stay in for 20-25minutes till the water turns a bit cold.... And sipped a cup of warm water, 2 TBS ACV and some raw honey. He fell asleep for over 10 hours and woke up feeling better! He said his whole body relaxed deeply and I am sure in his sleep his body was healing.
I am convinced that ACV is something that we all need daily!

I would not heat ACV as it most likely kills the healthy bacteria that helps heal us. :/
Recipes
I went to the Whole Foods Store and puchased some organic ACV w/Mother yesterday.
Here's the thing: It tastes sooo bad, I couldn't get it down. I was bucking (almost vomiting) like a kid being made to eat ocra!!! (LOL). I did as one poster on here suggested, and filled a 2 ounce shot glass with the ACV, then trasferred that to an 8 ounce glass, and filled the glass with bottled water. I tried to drink it, but I just coudn't stand the taste!
Anyway, my questions are:
1) What do most of you use to make it taste better ? and what juices or other drinks could I use with it That would not counteract the benefits of the solution in the ACV ? What drinks or juices should I stay away from using with it (and why) ?
2) Is there a brand of ACV that comes in a pill or capsule form that would be the same as taking it in liquid form ?
Thanks ahead of time for your suggestions b/c I really need to get my pressure down asap and I'm hoping ACV Will work!

I take Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) every day, just put it on your salad in place of salad dressing... Its strong, but it is much easier in a salad. Also add tomatos to help tone down The ACV..

Hi SueZ, most people don't like the taste of Apple Cider Vinegar so don't feel alone on that point. It is really disguised when put in apple juice. That seems to be the best to mix it with.
I don't think there is anything in the juice and liquid flavouring area that it can't be mixed with although it would curdle in milk obviously.
Yes there is an Apple Cider Vinegar in capsule form but I don't think it has the same benefits as the liquid Apple Cider Vinegar with mother. Cheers Lily.

Here in Europe I have never found ACV with the mother, neither in the supermarkets nor in the health shops, not in Switzerland either (if it exists it is well hidden, I tell you! ). Therefore I don't even know what the mother looks like. You can find Bio, unfiltered ACV and that is what I use. I never drink it pure so I have no idea what it really tastes but I use it in salads and it tastes like regular vinegar. When I drink it I always mix it with water only or else also with molasso, cayenne pepper, maybe turmeric..... But I am always surprised that ACV in the US seems to taste far worse than ours because I can tell you that a Tbspoon of ACV in a regular Glass of water doesn't taste bad at all! Maybe not what you would drink for pleasure but it really doesn't taste bad!

.. I have a wonderful recipe that is also very healthy... Boil 32 oz of water for a tea, turn off heat and add 4 tea bags of rasberry zinger, add 1 table spoon of raw honey and 8 tablespoons of ACV. Pour over ice and simply sip through out the day..... The tea and the honey cut the taste and after the first sip you almost can't stop drinking the stuff ...Enjoy

A very refreshing ACV "cocktail": In a short glass, add a few ice cubes, 2 tablespoons ACV (with the 'mother'), top off with ginger ale, and a dash of bitters. Goes down really easy.

I've been using ACV for years and I am also a pro at passing kidney stones, 17 passed last year alone, (7 over Labor Day weekend) and have passed at least 5 a year since kidney surgery in 2003, the largest being 7mm. Now I have discovered from multiple CT scans that I have several 8mm stones in my kidneys and they are spasming quite often now. The suspicion is calcium and so I am supposed to cut out calcium except through food. A huge problem there - I am allergic to dairy, prone to stones and am in surgical menopause from cancer - so I have to have calcium to prevent osteoporosis. So what do I do? Nothing, except have surgery. So I have been told. Sorry just giving you my "credentials"...
Now let me tell you what I do with my ACV. I drink it several ways and I enjoy them a lot, even crave it on a hot summer day. I have been drinking ACV for over 17 yrs... Not consistently like I probably should. I am doing better now. I either drink it straight and "chase" it with something else, usually water, or pour whatever amount looks right and fill the cup up with water(I don't like measuring... ) but the best way that I prefer is 1 tbsp ACV, 8 oz warm or hot water, 1 tbsp raw honey and throw some cayenne in for fun, about 1/4 tsp. It's a warm, sweet drink. Very pleasant to me, at least. I am starting to add ACV into everything now to help with my kidney pain. I am also drinking lemon water or "lemonade", whichever is handy. (I was drinking some ACV while typing this and I was previously doubled over from both kidneys spasming and I can now sit up straight. ) There is also another remedy that my mom found my 2nd to last stone incident. It involves essential oils, apple juice and olive oil. I used this remedy and I didn't even feel the last 3 stones as I passed them! I was surprised when I saw 3 large stones in the toilet, no bleeding, no pain, nothing.
Mix 8 oz Apple Juice with 2 Tbsp Olive Oil, shake vigorously and then drink, 2 to 3 times daily until stone passes.
Meanwhile...mix together 10 drops each - Juniper, Geranium and Eucalyptus Radiata
Dilute with 1 tsp vegetable or massage oil. Apply 6-10 drops over kidney area and apply hot compress for 30 mintues once a day. Massage Juniper and Geranium on bottom of feet twice a day.
For me, I just pour 6 drops of each oil in my hand, plus a carrier oil, namely Jason's Vit E facial oil, and rub on the kidney hurting and apply the hot compress and leave it there until it gets cold. It smells so nice! As I am laying there with the compress on, I am sipping away at my apple and oil drink. I have not, so far, knock on wood, needed to drink more than 1 glass of the apple/oil mix. It's not the greatest tasting drink but it helps so much. Don't chug it but try to get it down as fast as you can and "chase" it with some plain apple juice. You will not feel the stone as it is so soft from the oils and the ureter is opened up to allow passage, that you will be amazed. Oh, and I passed the stone(s) with in a few hours. Like at the same time. It was quick and the oddest sensation to feel the stones coming out since they were fairly large ...
I hope that this works for ya and good luck.

My recipe for elixir (twice/day on weekdays, 3x/day on weekends): 1 tbspn _____s ACV, strained juice of 1 lemon, 12 oz room temp distilled water, for flavor-2 tbspn honey (or grade B pure maple syrup or agave nectar), and 1/8 tspn of organic cayenne pepper.
I don't use as a fasting cleanse. I continue to eat (healthy, live, un-processed food/drink) and use this as a supplement. If this regimen is maintained along with exercise, no fasting is necessary.

To Erica from Salt Lake City: I have osteopenia so take Calcium twice a day and I am also prone to kidney stones. Calcium carbonate contributes to the kidney stones so I take calcium citrate (I take Citracalc with Vitamin D to help the absorption) which does not contribute to kidney stones instead of calcium carbonate. Check your multi-vitamin - many have calcium carbonate. Calcium carbonate is also in most antacids - like Tums.
