2 TBS of ACV, 12 ounces of grape juice and 2 TBS of pure honey... I'm not cured yet, but I believe this is going to work for my high cholesterol. 'I'm a 46 y/o black man with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I'm currently taking plendil for high blood pressure. About a month ago I had my cholesterol checked and it was 282. My LDL is 199. I looked at your website today and immediately went to the store to get some grape juice, honey and ACV. In about 30 minutes of drinking this recipe I started felling better. My head is clear and I got a little pep in my step. I'm going to continue taking this remedy and have my cholesterol checked in a month. I know it's going to be better. God makes the simplest things to fix our big problems.

I ran across this site recently. I've been looking for natural ways to lower my cholesterol and blood pressure without having to take a lot of pills every day. It never occurred to me that my fathers remedy to cure his children's illnesses would also prevent high blood pressure. My father drank 12 ounce mug of honey and apple cider vinegar in hot water every day for as long as I can remember. His cholesterol levels and blood pressure was never high. It was always normal. He did pass away several years ago due to a heart attack. However, this was not brought on by cholesterol or blood pressure. This was due to pneumonia, which he got every year for about 15 years. Still today, when I've feeling slightly ill, I make myself a cup of honey and vinegar. I made this for an ex about 3-4 years ago. He couldn't believe how much better he felt within 45 minutes after drinking honey and acv. He didn't believe me that it would work. He was amazed.

Apple Cider Vinegar has cured high cholesterol, high blood pressure and gout. 2 tbl spoons in a glass of cold water every morning. This is truly God's gift to mankind. You will never need another pill, ever. By the way, the gout was caused by taking the pills prescribed by my doctor. (rosuvastatin 10 mg ). It's such a pleasure to be able to pass on such good news. God bless you all.

Tried the ACV and it triggered a gout attack. It's too acid for me. I had to chug black cherry juice and take capsules to pull out of it. I would not reccomend ACV for gout sufferers. Looks like it won't work for me. Dang!!

I think you should have persisted with the ACV since, according to Dr Jarvis, it flushes out acid and makes the body more alkaline. Methinks it could have been a herxheimer reaction while your body was doing the flushing?

I was told by my doctor that my cholesterol was high (240). He put me on medication (lipitor.) I tried the medication for a couple of weeks but began to feel pain in my muscles, it felt like getting acupuncture, like if someone was inserting needles into my muscles. I called the doctor right away and he told me to stop taking the medication, he told me to try to diet and exercise. I did a little research and found info on apple cider vinegar . I also bought flax seed oil, fish oil, ester "C"and garlic supplements @ a local health food store i tried all of this for a couple of months along with exercise such as riding my bike. I recently did another blood test and found out from my doctor that my cholesterol was back to normal ranges! i was also suffering from acid reflux, which is also gone. I used to get pain in my chest which was from the acid reflux I used to think I was having a heart attack but it was the acid reflux which is also gone. the apple cider vinegar sure does work.

Apple Cider Vinegar Lowered Cholesterol Drastically! Found out about this site when i was looking for natural alternatives to lower my cholesterol, i was on Lescol Xl-80mg, but it was damaging my liver, so they put me on Zeta 10mg, but that only knocks the numbers down by around 30 points. My problem is that my cholesterol was well into the 300's, so i followed directions found within these forums, went on a diet and added apple cider vinegar to my routine. There were so many versions of how and when to take it, so i take 2 tablespoons in water 2x daily. After having only taken it for a little over a week i went back to the doctor for blood work and my cholesterol was at that reading 185, i'm sure its even lower now!One thing i would like to point out is that i take the organic vinegar, which has "not" been heated with the "mother" intact, also because of acid/teeth issues, i drink it through a straw and rinse my mouth with baking soda water before and after. So i really thank God for this site or i would NEVER have known about the miracle that is apple cider vinegar! Now, i'm off to find a remedy for the damage the Lescol XL 80mg did to my liver, but i am confident i'm gonna find it here!

Responding to the person who damaged her liver with the cholesterol med. To help this you may want to use milk thistle. We use several capsules each day as my husband is on several meds they say he can not live without but they do some damage to his liver. Now we have found no damage since taking the milk thistle. I have found that drinking small amounts of vinegar and putting it on food such as pizza or greens has lowered my high cholesterol without the use of drugs. I was on Vytorin and have discontinued use and my last blood work showed normal cholesterol ranges.

ACV is really a wonderful NATURAL solution to many health problems.

Happy you found it worked for you. I use B----'s Organic ACV with the “mother.” I luv the taste. Dilute it w water and lemon and drink one TBP in the am half hour before I eat. It really helps. Best of health always.

For those who want to save money and be healthy, find an MD of Integrative Medicine. Sometimes it is also called Functional Medicine or Orthomolecular Medicine. If you use a chiropractor or other natural practicioner, your insurance probably won't pay for it. If you cannot afford insurance, use a naturopath or nutritionist. It is also not necesary to purchase your supplements from your practicioner. You will pay double for them. There are many quality brands but cheapest is probably not best quality. Check out Consumerlabs.com. I use iherb. Com, vitacost. Com, amazon. com, and luckyvitamin.com.

Well this is my first time writing on this site.. My sister turned me on to it.. I'll get right to the point..

6mths(10 /11) ago I was getting chest pains and ignoring them due to they werent very bad but starting more frequent.. my cholestrol was 268-triglycerides was 167-LDL was 160-hdl was 42 glucose avg was about 150 to 220 daily...

I went to the doctor three weeks ago(3/18/ 12).. They thought I had an artery blocked. I did the radio isatope(nuclear) test and everything came back perfect.. My blood pressure was 113/68(im 41yrs old).. I started working out doing interval training(AKA getting my heart rate up and down every 5min from 100 to 135 and back for 1 hour)this alone lowered my sugar every single time... Started the acv (1table spoon 3times a day)cocnut oil(1 tsp 3 times a day).. My new results--sugar avg is now in the low hundreds and even dips into the 90s (amazing considering im hypothyroid and pre diabetic).. My cholestrol as of today (4/15/ 12) total cholestrol is 158 (110 point drop)trygs 104 (63 point drop).. LDL is 101(59 point drop ) hdl 40 (2 point drop but was fine before.. I've only been taking the coconut oil and Apple Cider Vinegar for three weeks.. Amazing!!! Hope this can help someone.. Also.. No chest pains in the last 4 days.. I'm not saying that all this had anything to do with my chest pains nor the doctors but is kinda strange they suddenly stopped.. I'm still keeping up with the doctors just to make sure... Have a great day everyone.. Any people from houston or wherever want to contact me just reply here first and then we will see..

I'm 39 years old, 6'-0" 188lbs. I'm a pretty healthy looking athletic guy. I've been doing boxing training twice a week for 1.5 hours.... or surfing once a week 1 hour.

Anyways, I've had high cholesterol for at least 10 years. Once, it was recorded as high as 350. Other times it's been 250 or 230... Anyways, I was put on Simbastatin.

I started waking up in the middle of the night feeling out of breath. My first few breaths would hurt my chest until my lungs became re-inflated. Finally, I put two and two together, and realized it was the Statin. so.... My blood test came in at 207, which is great for me..... 145ldl, 39hdl, 93 trig. BUT, breathing is a priority for me right now.

So, I told my doctor I'm not taking the drugs anymore. I now realize my hair loss, memory loss, etc.... could all be results of the statins I've been taking for nearly 5 years.

I'm going to try this ACV, and red rice yeast, and Lecithin...... and see what happens.

Wish me luck.

You may want to reconsider the red rice yeast. It is well known that it will give a person the same side effects as the statins because of its similar chemical structure. It did me. I couldn't tolerate any of the statins either. Bad muscle pain. I am 62 and had a heart attack 12 years ago followed by 7 vessel bypass surgery, then 8 stents. They all clogged up and I had bypass surgery again 3 months ago. I'm not convinced that cholesterol was the clogging factor but I am going to give the vinegar a good try. I think it may have been the fact that I took calcium supplements since about age twenty. My arteries were very "calcified."

hello, ...recently, about a week ago I took the initiative to look up cholesterol on Google, in hope of finding some natural treatment for my high cholesterol. ...and I stumbled across your site, which introduced me to 'apple cider vinegar' treatment. A treatment I have applied for a week now as directed, along with considerable garlic, each day. ...and my health in that one week has had a complete turn around. I haven't felt like this for over two years. I don't know if I owe it to apple cider vinegar or the combination of that, with garlic, but my health has made a complete turn around, in just one week. And although they tell me garlic can lower blood pressure I will keep this treatment up for a while, until at least I have brought my cholesterol down to normal levels. ...anyway, from deeply down in my heart I thank you greatly, because for over two years now I have been completely down health wise, which stressed me out considerably throughout that period, since I never felt any comfort in my state of health. ...thank you very much.

A couple of days ago I did research on pectin. (I have about 1 pound of pectin at home). If pectin is added to the diet (3%) there is something like a 90% reduction in cholesterol and plaque in the aorta after eating on a diet of pectin added foods for about 9 months in tests of microswine (miniature pigs). Pigs are very close to humans.

The reason why apple ciders works so well in reduction of blood pressure and fats is due to the pectin content in the apple cider. Of course, if you add them to your food (pectin), the plaque and cholesterol will be reduced. Most natural supplements in the market that sell pectin is not therapeutically effective because the amount they are adding is far too small (10-200 mg), while pectin is considered a soluble fiber food, we need 3% when combined with other foods. Best way is to add them in soups and fruit juice.

Ted...I read that if you get rid of the Candida overgrowth it will help with the cholesterol..because of the mycotoxins..and the excess cholesterol is there to protect you from the mycotoxins to not damage the organs...I believe that overgrowth of yeast is the reason behind disease..but it all begins with improper digestion due to certain foods such as dairy, wheat, soy and corn. Also, with acidic foods that keep the PH not where it's suppose to be at letting candida take over...and also, because of the chlorine in our drinking water that kills off our beneficial bacteria that can't then keep candida at bay..I had serious issues with candida...and found that ph balancing helped that drastically and to watch out for sugar..my diet is plain and simple and it is working for me..I have cured my allergies, ovarian cysts, hemorhoids (sp?)...and am now realizing that by taking depakote for 30 years was preventing vit D absorbancy I feel leading up to my gum disease now..I feel that I have been unhealty since a child and I am in my 40's now...why didn't the doctors tell me I needed to supplement with vit D..it upsets me...also had chronic fatigue recently and am recovering...and it was not fun..the doctors could not help me..I am recovering because I found out that vit D and calcium are imp, and ph balance, and to rid of sugar of the diet which I had such a craving for for so long due to a terrible yeast overgrowth in body..I feel that the fatigue was because of the yeast...and once I cleared this..things started to turn around..I now make better choices for myself, and it feels good to know that you can heal yourself just by changing your diet to alkaline keep it simple...rid of sugar..drink good water,,,rid of chemicals...I realize that it starts with proper digestion and if I had this as a child I wouldn't have had seizure issues and allergies, constipation and eczema...I can't believe that I finally understand what is going on here...well, all that I have done for myself is working for me...and I no longer am on any meds....just trying to save my teeth now..will see what happens as I continue to oil pull and use your advice on what to do for gum disease. Ted do you have any comments on the things I feel have been working for me?..

Ted, I followed this pectin experiment on hogs. I ate one-half grapefruit a day, . I peeled the skin and ate everything including the pith (white part) , except seeds. I took most of the pith from the peeling and ate them too. Little bit bitter, but after one month my cholesterol dropped down a lot.

I am 48 yrs old and have suffered from severe insomnia for 9 years. I have taken ambien sleeping pills for the last 5 years just to get a good night sleep. I started taking apple cider vinegar and baking soda for eczema and it CURED my insomnia. I mean totally cured. No more sleeping pills and I am not exaggerating when I say I sleep like i did in my 20's. At first my skin felt like it was burning for a couple of days then when it was gone so were many ailments. It also lowered my cholesterol 30 points, and I no longer have acid reflux. Thank you for your website. Its been such a blessing.

Sorry about your ecz. And your chol. problems. I am not an expert, however, from the years of reading, have you addressed a congested liver? You may know about liver cleanses, but if you don't I'd read up on them first, do some thinking, get feedback and don't jump into things and see what your higher self recommends. I am about to embark on them. I found several that are not as drastic as Hulda Clark's, although when I get the druthers I will do that one as well.

You might want to go to Curezone.com and see what they may have to add, however, I would definitely stay away from the debate forums, at least for me they're a melange of highly principled individuals to lunatics.

Keep putting one foot in front of the other and don't give up! You're on your way to your answers and solution! The best to you. : )

This is amazing and TRUE! Using remedies I found on this site, I lowered my total cholestrol 72..yes 72 points in one month! My Doctor called me personally to tell me NOT to fill my prescritp for Lipitor because he was "shocked" and "amazed" that my cholestol had dropped to NORMAL! He told me to "keep doing what I was doing"!

One month ago I found this website after my doctor told me my total cholestol was 272 and I'm a young 40-something year old woman! He gave me one month to "get it under control" since I was hesitant to start Lipitor.

I used ACV daily, at first 1 tsp. before each meal then working my way up to 1Tbs. twice daily, at breakfast and dinner. I also added daily at dinner time, 1200mg of Red Yeast Rice Extract, 100mg of CoQ10. 1000 mg and of Fish Oil. If I knew I were going to be eating a high fat meal, I took 3 chitosan capsules before those meals ( as needed not at each meal). I also used fresh Cilantro "chelation" daily. Basically a cilantro pesto made with 1 c. fresh cilantro, 2 Tbs. olive oil, 1/2 c. almonds, 3 cloves fresh garlic and the juice of one fresh lemon..pulse in food processor until it's a paste then eat 1 to 3 teaspoons of it daily. It worked for me, familial high cholestrol was a factor for those of you with a genetic predisposition. Try it!!!

Editor's Choice

Hi, over the past 5 years I have struggled with high cholesterol also. Last Friday I had my annual check up and today I got my results. I was ecstatic to learn that my cholesterol has been reduced significantly and I feel much better. My doctor advised me to eat raw oats. I tried that, but I find it exhausts me. So since a couple of weeks, I start my day with a mug of hot/warm water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (not advised by my doc).

Meanwhile, I soak raw oats in just room temperature water, so I can chew it down easily. After my ACV-water, I continue with my oats in water and after that I take 1 brazil nut. After that I take a small serving of full fat yogurt spiked with 6-8 crused raw almonds, 1 banana, 2 tbs chia or flaxseeds, half a handful of raisins and 1 tsp of raw honey. Also, after every meal, I drink/eat 2 tablespoons of raw oats, again soaked in water.

I don't know if the last also contributes to my lowering cholesterol which is now a 5.88 (HDL). I strive to reach my 5.00 mark and lower. I have drastically cut down on sugar in my diet and cook also with EVOO (just 1 tbs, only if necessary) and butter. Margarines and other vegetable fats, except EVOO I absolutely do not use anymore, because studies have shown them to be very harmful to the body. I also incorporate more fruits and salads to my diet. I hope I have helped you in your journey to finding a good routine to lower your cholesterol also. I suggest you also do a total medical check-up before starting to change anything, so you can verify your progress better. I root for you.
