I slowly went from 1/32 teaspoon to 1/4 teaspoon dose borax to remove fluoride from the body. I quit after about 2 days on the 1/4 teaspoon dose. I mixed it properly in pure water according to the directions that I found here. I had to go off of the borax due to aches and pains in the testicles, kidneys, and head. I was very frightened, especially about that kidney pains. Unfortunately, the pains indicated damage. I now, months afterwards, have pain in the kidneys every day, and I have actually LOST almost all of my sex drive. The pains indicated damage that seems permanent. Being prediabetic, perhaps I shouldn't have risked kidney damage!!!! But I miss my sex drive more. It's gone, and borax is not only as toxic as salt to me. Not by far.

This is not the correct way to do it. The proper method is to dissolve the borax 1/32 teaspoon to 1/4 teaspoon in ONE LITER of drinking water and drink throughout the day. It was not designed to take in pure powder form, usually to rid of autoimmunity disease or a known fluoride poisoning. In rabbit test the dose is roughly lower than this concentration to protect against fluoride poisoning when they added lethal dose of fluoride.

A woman's dose is 1/8, a man's dose is 1/4 dissolved in one liter of drinking water. I can't say much about this poster since sufficient details are not mentioned, except for the fact that he's prediabetic, which borax has a tendency to normalize blood sugar. So I find this posting fishy on many points. A lot of people through private emails actually take a much larger dose that this.

Loss of sex drive has never been reported except for fluoride. Most report an increase in sex drive. Most of the problems reported are associated with boric acid, not borax because boric is acid. Acid eats up kidney, whether it's boric acid or acid forming foods in general.

So I have many regrets on this email. A genuine poster would also email directly to me before posting them and give sufficient details. An intentionally fake poster will report unusual side effects, lacking in sufficient details, on Earth Clinic without telling me. So you can see why I find this a suspicious post.

Dave from Surrey may of indeed been poisoned by boric acid use instead of borax as you suggested. And I'm sorry to point out that in the article's references notated under

"A STUDY OF ANTIDOTES FOR FLUORINE S. MARCOVITCH 1 and W. W. STANLEY 1"

you will read that "Boric acid also has some value as an antidote through the formation of a fluoborate." The problem is that this is a pesticide used to kill roaches and ants and there needs to be a warning posted to prevent future misuse of this information! Thank you.

Dear Ted, very dangerous to suggest using borax as a way of removing fluoride. Some people have obviously misunderstood your directions and you are possibly causing more harm than good. Why couldn't you suggest something like DMSA or high dose of Vitamin C? Surely that is the safer option.

It seems that everyone on this site has been very clear about the difference between boric acid and borax. If someone cannot read this and see what is clearly explained, then the problem is with them, not this site.

Please listen to me very carefully. I have medullary sponge kidney (Cacchi Ricci disease). I've had this all my life, and I want to help you with your kidney pains. Everyone develops kidney stones, some never come out. But, for those who have kidney stones that cause issues and pain in our kidneys... We aren't so lucky. I use to suffer, every day. I don't now.

Go to Sam's club or order online : 400 mg liquid cap magnesium oxide. Magnesium Oxide stops kidney stones from forming and breaks apart formed stones. I will die on this hill, because there has been over 100 years of research. If you're worried about diarrhea, take either bentonite clay or iron (it's ok to take 2 iron pills when you need to take magnesium oxide).

I hope this helps cleanse your kidneys and makes them hurt less. I take it when I feel a stone or my kidneys start to hurt.

Most of my adult life I've suffered from stomach problems. And in research of natural cures and flouride poisoning I came across this wonderful website. Anyway, I started the BORAX treatment for flouride because I've been having problems with my knees. I tell ya, I don't know if it's the power of the mind or what, but 2 days of the BORAX treatment and my knees that have been bothering me for the past two months stopped hurting and I can walk again without pain. Haven't tried anything for the stomach yet. But I will now. Expecially after coming across this website and PH levels in the stomach and flouride absorbtion. WOW! Check it out for yourself! http://jdr.iadrjournals.org/cgi/reprint/72/3/619.pdf

Actually the worse problem that causes a knee problems are that wheat, sugar, chlorinated water, tomatoes and aspartame products are some of the most acid forming foods I found, leads to a knee problem. So alkalization and borax will neutralize the inflammation and pain. Acid forming foods are pro-inflammatory.

This is a comment for Chris (11/03/2008) regarding the borax. Hi Chris, the Borax is in the laundry detergent section in the store. First time when I have found the Borax in the laundry detergent section in the local grocery store I was surprised. I am from another country so I was clueless what is the borax. I asked the pharmacist what he thinks if I put a tiny Borax to my drinking water. He didn't seem surprised he said people using the Borax for different kind of weird reasons probably it will kill the bacteria in my water. I am using the 20 Mule Team Borax (chemical name is Sodium Tetraborate Decahydrate) with very good result. I am using it treating Candida and knee arthritis. Regards, Edith

Iodine supplementation markedly increases urinary excretion of fluoride and bromide - Letters to the Editor
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0ISW/is_2003_May/ai_100767875

"With 3 tablets, the 24h excretion of fluoride was 17.5 times baseline level; and for bromide, 18 times baseline level. These high levels persisted even after one month of supplementation at 3 tablets/day, being 15 times baseline level for fluoride, and 16 times for bromide. After one month, the estimated total amount of halide excreted was 24 mg fluoride and 8700mg bromide.

Tumeric (the spice) works to STOP inflammation, use it in your food or fill empty capsules with it. Try about 1/2 teaspoon twice a day...Adjust quantity as needed, works almost immediately. Black Walnut (herbal) will kill parasites, usually the cause of inflammation, they don't test for parasites in this country & everyone has parasites. This is the first time I've read about Borax being ingested to remove fluoride. That's probably why it's called "folk remedies"... Nice website.

WORKED TEMPORARILY

I have continued the borax detox for fluoride toxicity 1-2 times per week. I had reduced my thyroid dose as my pulse rate was elevated which I thought was improvement of thyroid function. I don't think this was the case. Shortly after I had reduced to 2 1/2 from 3 1/2 grains, reducing 1/2 grain every two weeks, I began to experience fatigue again. Stayed at 3 gr. for about 10 more weeks and began having worsening of symtoms, muscle pains, hair loss, dry eyes, weight gain etc. This week I plan to consult with Dr. John Lowe regarding the possiblily of thyroid resistance and switching from Armour to Cytomel [T3].

After reading the info on fluoride on Earth Clinic I realised that the onset of my severe hypothyroid symptoms of extreme fatigue, weight gain, hair loss etc. was caused by taking repeated doses of Flucanazole to prevent yeast during repeated antibiotics for acute asthma [healed after 90 days on Zithromax]. My TSH [thyroid stimulating hormone] is less than .01 which shows hyperthyroidism so I have had a hard time finding a doctor willing to treat me. Now I know it is because the fluoride inhibits the pituitary gland from producing TSH. I live in a fluoridated community so my exposure has been long term. For several years I have had reverse osmosis water but it is very disappointing to find there is no acceptable whole house removal system. It was recommended to me to take cool showers as skin absorption is greater than drinking. I am hoping to convince our city council to drop the fluoride. I was happy to hear that borax can be used for detox. Yesterday I mixed 1/8 tsp of borax and sea salt in one L of water. During the night I awoke with a headache. By morning it was so bad that I vomited the aspirin, snack and enzymes I took to combat it. I couldn't keep anything other than sips down without dry heaves until early evening.I am thinking that is a detox reaction. I am going to hold off another day and dilute it further. I currently take Armour Thyroid and about $400 of supplements, mainly enzymes to prevent reflux, keep spinal alignment, joint stiffness, fatigue, sinus infections, constipation, hair loss and all those other nasty hypothyroid effects. I was also taking the apple cider vinegar and baking soda [about 8 days now] at the same time so may be that was too much at once with the borax. I will keep you posted on my progress. Thank you for this wonderful website.

I have suffered with Fibromyalgia/Rosacea and TMJ for over 10 years... My first symptoms appeared shortly after I began taking Paxil. After about 8 months when I found the Paxil side effects intolerable, my doctor switched me to Prozac. Well...within 2 years, I had gained 75 pound, couldn't get my temperature to a normal 98.6 (it wouldn't budge above 96.6), broke out with a fierce case of Rosacea (skin blistering & pealing in layers off my cheeks), was chronically fatigued and suffered from TMJ symptoms.

After reading the FLUORIDE information on EarthClinc and researching the chemical formulas of the many antidepressants that I had taken over the last 10 years, I had an epiphany...My problem was FLUORIDE!!! Incidentally, the' symptoms of FLUORIDE TOXICITY are the same as Fibromyalgia so it wasn't surprising to learn that FLUORIDE is the primary ingredient in MANY widely prescribed antidepressants, including PAXIL and PROZAC!!!

Without delay, I began adding 1/8 tsp of BORAX and 1/8 tsp of NATURAL (UN-bleached) SEA SALT to a liter of
DE-CLORINATED water. This regimine just happens to both neutralize the FLUORIDE and KILL the nasty mites that cause Rosacea.

I began drinking 1 liter per day for 5 days. On the 2 off days, I simply drank purified, bottled spring water.

The results were nothing short of MIRACULOUS, within two weeks my face cleared, the redness faded and best of all, my temperature normalized TO 98.6 and my energy level began to steadily increased. (Do expect the break out to get worse before it gets better as the mites die off.)

In just one month, without dieting or changing my daily routine (other than adding BORAX & SEA SALT to my drinking water), I dropped 4 pounds and I continue to drop weight at about a pound a week. I attribute this to my increased body temperature and elevated metabolism.

ALSO...when I eliminated the FLUORIDE in my toothpaste, my gums stopped swelling and bleeding and all PREVIOUS phantom tooth/jaw pain simply disappeared.

Thank you, EarthClinc and Ted...The information you shared has truely been a blessing in my life...I wholeheartedly encourage anyone that is suffering with FIBROMYALGIA, CHRONIC FATIGUE, TMJ or ROSACEA to try this simple remedy as I have had only POSITIVE results and absolutely NO SIDE EFFECTS!!!

Incidently, this BORAX & SEA SALT water is extremely ALKALINE with a pH between 8 - 9 pH.

The certainty that "they" are trying to kill us has come to me. Like you, I am battling life threatening issues from the poisoning of our environment (for me it's also EMF exposure that potentiated the other poisonings). Stand strong, avoid the intense brainwashing, and we will soon be rid of these human killers.

I am no stranger to detox as my symptoms first started 20 years ago. My first big leap toward recovering came through sauna detoxification (using VC, mineral salts, and liver suppl. support) and an acupressure technique to reduce chemical and food resistance and allergies called NAET. Both are AMAZING safe therapies I highly recommend. These together, plus organic raw juicing literally saved my life at the age of 28 in one year's time.

My second huge leap forward was with a form of energy-based yoga called isha yoga--i do a kriya practice I learned in an 'Inner Engineering' class which is really easy to do, and it normalized a lot of my hormonal imbalances and got my body's rhythms back in sync. I've began practicing since the age of 33--almost 10 years without missing a single day. It's THAT good. This practice made my system stout and strong again in 3 months--to the point that I trekked in the Himalayas 6mths after I learned the kriya and since have travelled all over Asia and Tibet with a strong gut--I was helping OTHER people who were sick =).

So, I've been pretty fit for the last 10 years, eating vegetarian (not able to do organic in travel), travelling all over, and practicing yoga and meditation regularaly. In all my travels and activity etc, I was fine. It was when I came back and settled that I'd gotten a little lax on the pure water thing and started to have a few problems re-emerge--wasn't too bad, but it began to interfere with my yoga--mainly joint pain and mild hypo- thyroid symptoms.

My thyroid has always remained slightly enlarged on one side even though my symptoms of Hashimotos were very mild (almost no coldness, just mild skin dryness, and occasional fatigue). The thyroid got a big boost from my yoga practice, but my joints were still getting really crickety even though i'm practicing a couple hours of yoga asanas (postures and such) every day.

4 days ago I started the Borax protocol as well as the Tamarind and am having incredible results. I think this might just be the final piece to the detox puzzle. I hadn't taken fluoride that seriously, and my enviro doc 10 years ago never mentioned it as a concern. I'm betting the sauna cleared it with the other things back then and I never knew it was part of the problem.

I bought both a 'cosmetic grade' Borax powder and Tamarind paste at the Indian market. Both I am mixing with a little sea salt. These first days I've taken 1/24 tsp of Borax in 1/3 of a liter--basically 1/3rd the total quantityfor female adult and had the funk that followed--dizziness, lethargy, little nausea etc. The first day I did an Indian Rasam with tamarind, salt, little oil and cilantro also. After the two, I actually spiked a fever and the aching worsened, but I could tell it was a detox reaction. I can literally feel this stuff 'pulling'.

At day 4 with this tiny amount I've taken, my knee pain is about 80% better, low back pain is gone, neck and shoulders which were very tight are about 30-40% improved, and my energy has spiked up considerably. Truly amazing that a $2 product of natural mineral salt and the $3 paste of a fruit of a tree can be such a wonderful antidote.

It is interesting, because the Ayurvedic wisdom of ancient India has spread into the south India culture and held for millennia and one of their most common, daily soups--a 'digestive' by which they finish EVERY meal is the rasam that I made myself, which has simply tamarind paste, black pepper, cumin seed, a bit of dal, turmeric powder, salt which you boil hard together and then add lots of fresh UNCOOKED cilantro in at the end. Hmmmm... The yogis must have known all along =)

Best luck in your continued climb to the glowing health and exuberance that is your birthright. Thank you for hosting this forum for those who suffer needlessly for way too long.

blessings, -Sharon

Just a quick update on my progress. I have been rigorous about taking short showers, drinking distilled water, cooking with distilled water and eating raw foods when going out to eat. In short, for two months I've completely avoided fluoride and bromide as much as possible and my results are so good that I literally cannot BELIEVE this crap is added to our food and water supply. I have been ingesting this poison for 40 years, which I feel has been the primary cause for my Hashimoto's thyroiditis all along. I don't know what my ab titers are right now or my thyroid numbers, but I can tell the inflammation is way down and I feel so much better I can hardly believe it. One thing that has been interesting is that once I was off of the fluoride for about 3 weeks, if I ingested even a tiny amount of iodine even in my food I would have a hyperthyroid (ADD) kind of reaction. I couldn't figure it out at first, then I realized, without the fluoride/bromide suppression that had been there for years, the increased numbers of iodine receptors that developed in the enlarged gland to compensate for the blockage were now all available and over-stimulating. I actually began producing too much thyroid hormone. This lasted a couple of weeks but has leveled out now--I actually lost a little weight and had trouble sleeping at night from all that hyperactivity. Now that it has calmed down, I won't start taking any little bits of iodine again for maybe another month as needed to nourish the gland.

Another interesting thing is that I have been visiting a friend for about a month while going through all of this. One of her dogs had developed arthritis so bad she could barely move her hips and head. She told me she wanted to 'put her down' soon her suffering was getting so bad--she could barely stand up or lie down. So, I began to treat her with Borax too. At about 50lbs, I just adjusted her dose accordingly and began to add to all of her drinking water (tap water of course). Within THREE days, she lifted her head and began to move it normally. In three weeks time she is now running the back yard. While she was detoxing, I could tell she was experiencing the same detox funk--her eyes looked heavy and she was even stumbling a little, maybe a little bit dizzy? So I took the dose slowly and still such a dramatic response. Doesn't seem to have harmed her at all--in fact my friend said her urinary output and constipation have improved. My friend was so shocked because even the expensive vet she goes to had no treatment other than pain medication much more expensive than the Borax.

I've followed Ted's remedy regarding fluoride poisoning. I noticed that the neck and back pain only disappeared when I used the Tamarind powder with the Borax. I've been leaching with the borax for at least 30 weeks now. The symptom that seems to be resistant is the restless leg syndrome that appeared after my last stilt with anti-depressants chalked full of fluoride. My question is will the restless leg ever disappear? I take calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium, iodine and b-complex. From researching it is recommended to take iron but I have cancer and can not. The pulsing in my leg keep me awake at night and depress my activities 70%. It's not just pulsing but it is the weakness that goes with the pulsing. Does anyone recover from fluoride poisoning completely?

Hi! About your restless leg syndrome.... Please try natural topical magnesium but make sure it's 100% and from the ancient zechstein sea! There are a few other things you can try too. Check out the Metagenics website to see some of their nerve related herbal supplements. Valerian Root works for muscle spams, and GABA! There are a ton of products with GABA in it and it will directly aid your nerve-related issues. I hope this helps!!!!! Oh and btw.... there are many natural pain relievers out there similar to the opiates the pharmaceutical companies make, but that are 100% natural plants/herbs. Best of luck! :-)

Boron (Borax) and Tamarind

As per your request for research references regarding the antidote of fluoride poisoning, there is both the use of borax to remove fluoride and also the use of tamarind used to increase fluoride excretion as an antidote to fluoride poisoning. Most of the boron antidote was taken from research of Elsair, et.al. as follows:

"Boron effectively counteracts symptoms of fluoride intoxication in humans (Zhou et al. 1987) and in experimentally poisoned rabbits (Elsair et al. 1980a, 1980b, 1981). Men suffering from skeletal fluorosis experienced 50 to 80% improvement after drinking solutions containing 300 to 1,100 mg of borax/L daily, 3 weeks a month for 3 months (Zhou et al. 1987). Boron enhances sequestration of fluoride from bone and excretion through kidneys and possibly the intestinal tract (Elair et al. 1980a, 1981)"

Many of these research are not well known in U.S., but it's there if you dig hard enough. The details of research description regarding the experiment is no longer found in webpages however, I still have the references material based on that reading here.

P.S. Boron is found in borax. Sometimes I use the word boron to emphasize that there is boron in borax. Borax is a compound form of boron, with oxygen and sodium attached.

A STUDY OF ANTIDOTES FOR FLUORINE S. MARCOVITCH 1 and W. W. STANLEY 1

1 From the Department of Entomology, Agricultural Experiment Station, University of Tennessee, Knoxville

The fluoborates when fed in powdered form were found to be non-toxic to both rats and insects. In solution enough fluorine is liberated to produce toxic effects.

Both aluminum sulphate and hydrated lime are capable of saving animals from a lethal dose of sodium fluoride when mixed with the latter. Boric acid also has some value as an antidote through the formation of a fluoborate. The aluminum sulphate forms cryolite which was found to be much less toxic. When aluminum sulphate is mixed with the sodium fluoride and used as a roach powder, a lower kill is obtained than with sodium fluoride alone.

Research on Tamarind and Fluoride Removal:

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the effect of tamarind (Tamarindus indicus) ingestion on excretion of fluoride in school children.

Design: Randomized, diet-control study.

Subject: Twenty healthy boys were included and 18 of them completed the study.

Interventions: Each subject consumed 10 g tamarind daily with lunch for 18 days at the social welfare boys' hostel. The nutrient composition of the daily diet was constant throughout the experimental period.

Results: Tamarind intake led to significant increase (P<0.001) in the excretion of fluoride in 24 h urine (4.8%uFFFD0.22 mg/day) as compared to excretion on control diet (3.5%uFFFD0.22 mg/day). However, excretion of magnesium and zinc decreased significantly (7.11%uFFFD1.48 mg of Mg and 252.88%uFFFD12.84 %uFFFDg of Zn per day on tamarind diet as compared to 23.39%uFFFD3.68 mg of Mg and 331.78%uFFFD35.31 %uFFFDg Zn per day on control diet). Excretion of calcium and phosphorous were not significantly different while creatinine excretion decreased with tamarind intake (225.66%uFFFD81 mg creatinine/day with tamarind and 294.5%uFFFD78.76 mg creatinine/day without tamarind).

Conclusion: Tamarind intake is likely to help in delaying progression of fluorosis by enhancing urinary excretion of fluoride.

Boron as antidote to fluoride: effect on bones and claws in subacute intoxication of rabbits

Elsair J, Merad R, Denine R, Azzouz M, Khelfat K, Hamrour M, Alamir B, Benali S, Reggabi M

Laboratories of Physiology, Toxicology and Galenic Pharmacy, Medical Institute, Algiers, Algeria

Summary: Rabbits were "subacutely" intoxicated by administration of 30 mg/kg/day of fluoride for 3 months followed by 15 mg/kg/day for a subsequent 3 months (F). Boron was given alone (B) as preventive and simultaneously with fluoride prophylactically (F Bp), as well as therapeutically namely midway during the experimental period (F Bpc) while fluoride was being administered and after it was discontinued (Bc compared with fluoirde interuption F*), at a constant F/B ratio. All groups were compared to normal controls.

Boron administered during fluoride intoxication or after its interruption, reduces fluoremia and increases urinary fluoride excretion. Skeletal fluoride levels are directly relatd to those of claws. They bear no relationship to fluoride in hair. The high fluoride content in bone in lot F decreases with addition of boron. It is still high in lot F* but returns to normal in loc Bc. Calcium content of bones remains normal in all lots. Posterior pad radiography shows a cortical thickness in lot F which is less pronounced in lots F Bpc and F*, and returns to normal in lot Bc.

I don't know that Tamarind is so good for fluroide poisoning. Take a look at this website. It says that Tamarind has a very high fluoride count. That's why when people eat it, lots of fluoride comes out in the urine. http://bruha.com/pfpc/html/tamarind.html

Actually boron has a high binding to fluoride too, much like tamarind which binds strongly to fluoride. Tamarind gel and tamarind while it binds strongly to fluoride don't seem to cause deposition of fluoride and seems to further remove additional fluoride in the body.

There is also a dog study that showed increase fluoride excretion despite the high fluoride of the tamarind, to cause fluoride deposited in the bones to be removed and helped avoid fluorosis. Of course, I am a bit of a purist and prefer the borax remedy without the fluoride binding, and allow the boron itself to bind the fluoride when it is taken for the fluoride removal process. Some people may lean with more natural products such as taking tamarind might be ideal in case of a food poisoning or fluorosis, provided of course tamarind are easy to find.

Liquid boron is made from boric acid, and its toxicity of Boric acid is much higher then that of borax. Boric acid is also acid, and not alkaline and it makes it difficult. Toxicity of the use of boron and reported deaths comes from the use associated with boric acid when an infant accidentally ingested boric acid.

It's much easier to deal with borax. A liquid boron has another problem, manufacturers may add inactive ingredients in liquid solution to stabilize them but may be not safe for human consumption Borax in general does not have the additives as does a liquid boron solution and hence isgenerally better in most general applications.

Boron Chelate

I have purchased Boron Chelate 3mg for fluoride toxicity. Is this just as good as Borax? I know that boron will chelate the fluoride, I just wonder what the manufacturers chelate the boron with as I can't find any information. Thanks

re: Fluoride and Calcium Gluconate I.V. The medical reference book 'The Merck Manual' states that for fluoride to be leached out of the body to use an I.V. of Calcium Gluconate. The fluoride is attracted to the calcium and and excreted in the urine, stool, or skin. I am wondering if this type of treatment can be more effective than leaching with boron.

I think it's important to point out that this is only a treatment for ACUTE fluoride poisoning.

Cavities

A bug is responsible for cavities, fluoride doesn't kill it. This video is very informative

Cilantro

Posted by Lou (Tyler, Tx) on 02/29/2012

Doesn't cilantro and garlic pesto work for fluoride detox? Or is it heavy metals??? I think Chlorella works for fluoride.

Cilantro Pesto

1 clove garlic
1/2 cup almonds, cashews, or other nuts
1 cup packed fresh cilantro leaves (and smaller stems)
2 tablespoons lemon juice (a professional chef recommends just one Tbl of lemon juice)
6 tablespoons olive oil
Celtic Sea Salt to taste

Blend the cilantro and olive oil in a blender, add other ingredients to make a nice smooth paste, then go ahead and add some nuts and/or seeds: pistachio, cashews, almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, you name it. Have fun. Add it to your favorite pasta and serve warm or cold. Remember, cayenne pepper added to anything has a synergistic effect, making all the other ingredients work better. Simple fact.

Curcumin

Posted by Robert Varela (Martinez, California) on 06/01/2014

A research study by 3-science Universities/Laboratories in Mexico, peer reviewed & accepted as of 2011 by the Int'l Journal of Environmental Research & Pub Health concluded the following :

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3037067/

"Data from our study show that, despite values of excretion within an optimal fluoride intake range, the prevalence of caries, (i.e., dental cavities), was significant in both groups, and 60% of the 11- to 12-year-old children presented with dental fluorosis. In addition, variable fluoride concentrations in products frequently consumed by children were found."

The study population included pre-schoolers, 4-5year olds, & school children, 11-12 year olds. The urinary excretion of fluoride was measured in both age groups Note that urinary excretion does not mean total excretion as there is a maximum excretion to absorbtive retention ratio meaning, there is always a unknown accumulative residue of fluoride which stores in boney structures & other non-osteo parts of the body such as glands, brain, etc., which the kidneys cannot completely eliminate. Fluorosis is the degradation of the dental enamel & represents a readily available exterior view of further internal damage. Besides China, Mexico is another manufacturer & supplier of fluoride to the U.S. & I was expecting a biased report/study to protect corporate interests. As fluoride is being used for medication, the type of fluoride is NOT pharmaceutical grade as required by the FDA for all medications provided in the U.S. The type supplied is agricultural grade which contains other toxic contaminants such as arsenic, lead, etc. I have also found that fluoride effects the neurodegeneration of the brain & one study found curcumin, as the agent responsible for most of the biological activity of turmeric, to be beneficial in protecting against this damage & that research is here:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3969660/

The amount of curcumin used is 30mg/kg BW dissolved in olive oil which equals, approximately, 15mgs per pound of body weight. Curcumin is fat soluable & it is important to combine with a healthy fat such as coconut, fish oil, etc.

I use a simple water pitcher filtration system to remove the fluoride from our water. I suggest the same to others.

That will not remove the fluoride. Distilled water is one of the very few ways to remove fluoride, and everything else.

WARNING!

I was researching damage to the hippocampus, (see hippocampus on Wiki or equal),& found that many of the disease states listed from ADD to Alzheimers are very prevalent in society & many of the drugs prescribed for treatment contain in one form or another fluoride. Approximately 1500 antidepressants contain fluoride. A friend was prescribed a compound of cortisone cream for dermatitis which contained fluoride. Its everywhere folks, & its earlier use goes all the way back to guess who, Hitler. There are a few states that do not use fluoride in their drinking water & Hawaii as of 2-yrs ago was voting to remove its use from their water.
